We had a take out from this place a few days back. The food stayed warm till the trip home due to the packing, but plastic wrapping is injurious to health. The management should look at other alternatives.
The food tastes good. I'd recommend idlies over the dosa varieties they have since it tasted really good!

Had the special meal here for lunch and the taste was good. Although i feel the more value for money option would be to go for the normal meal.

Recently on our wedding anniversary after visiting Kapaleeswarar Temple, we had dinner here. The place is as it was say 8 years back, the same furnishings ,almost same waiters, same menu etc. We ordered Idlies, Dosas, Garlic Naan, P B Masala, Appam Coconut Milk. Masala milk was too thick which almost tasted like milk khoa.
Overall very decent place with a decent swiftness in service. VFM
This Mylapore restaurant needs lot of improvement in service, they have to look for more customer needs, Iam staying near by only, today Lunch we tried here with family, waste of time

Having visited "Mana Illu Vasanta Bhavan" here in Hyderabad which I look up for having some authentic south Indian food.
After having my full dose of pongal and ghee roast at
Mylai Karpagambal Mess, walking down the South Mada Street noticed this place. What attracted me was the the small stall in it which says "Jigarthanda". The stall serves the drink by the name Jigarthanda, which loosely translates to Cold-heart. I ordered the special version of it, for which we get two scoops of ice creams on top. While he was preparing it, I asked him for the ingredients used it. As I am very poor in speaking or understanding Tamil, I could barely understand him. But the drink was fabulous. Enjoyed it to the core.
This item Jigarthanda, is must have item when you are in and around this place.

I had been to vasanta bhavan many times. Today .I had been there with my family . Food was very tasty .service was excellent even though during crowd session. I had enjoyed my day with my family. I will soon visit to have choc dosa in myl vasanta bhavan
I think vasanta bhavan has come for best days. They have come on quality and service. Special items in vasanta bhavan are awesome. I really recommend my friends to have pizza dosa in mylapore. I had been there for 3 times. All those to have pizza dosa. Excellent service staffs very attentive.i will go again .
Today this afternoon i visited to temple. I want to have food. so i went to namma veedu vasanta bhavan, mylapore. food was excellent, special item was very good. I will give rating of 5

Was very hungry after my temple visit landed to this namma veedu quite a old setup they had this interesting evening menu with lots of options such as chola dosai, keerai coin poori, Kari dosia etc I tried the Kari dosa was amazing taste service was very friendly as well suresh the manager explained the menu and made us comfortable would like to come again to try the other items as well.

Went to One of the VB outlet with my family yesterday, Namma Veedu VB have introduced "Namma Ooru Virindhu" that includes traditional items like kelvarugu idiyappam, kambu chapathi, gothumai paratha, curry dosa, suku coffee and many others dishes which have been forgotten and not available in other restaurant chains. So went ahead and ordered these dishes that are available from 4pm to 10 pm. Really loved the food, especially kambu chapathi, veg.curry dosa, masala dosa and gothumai paratha. It was served hot and tasted really yummy, I couldn't try the remaining dishes but will surely get back and try out the remaining items...service was good and nothing to complain, we enjoyed the experience in VB.
Best South Indian food ever apart from my grandmothers authentic is namma veedu VB :)
Recently been to Kabaleshwar Koyil n was craving for food so got in this restaurant as it was very close by...
It was packed & we placed our order and it was on our table by exact 7 mins.
And the shocking news is the food was very fresh & hot served... Loved it.
Will surely visit VB whenever i come across there branches anywhere.
But surely want to request the management to consider opening branches in coimbatore.
Right next to the temple which is giving the best authentic South Indian food :)

Very nice place to have some traditional dishes. We were visiting the city and didnt know any place. We found this on our way to the temple and it was a very good choice.
We tasted onion bajji, chola poori, samosasand vadai and all of them were tasty.
Even though the staff don't speak English it is easy to recognise the dishes in the pictures of the menu.
Beautiful atmosphere all vegetarian dishes available and excellent service and ambience with good atmosphere. I have nice experience affordable price with super taste
We went for breakfast by 8.30 a.m after visiting kapaleeshwarar temple ..idli vadai served with coconut chutney tomato chutney sambhar and idli podi..
Ordered poori and potato on request they served vadacurry for this ...
The mini tiffen quantity is also sufficient
They serve thulsai infused drinking water..food is very tasty and service is very good ..the staff are friendly and courteous..the Restaurant has parking for 4 wheeler and 2 wheelers adjacent to the restaurant..
Good food good taste..need to visit more to try various items..can have snacks separate section as it is a crowded area where people look for snacks in the evenings with good taste and hygiene...
Nostalgic. The hotel reminds me of childhood days when the hotel was Karpagam. Interiors are great, service is appreciable and food was delicious. Kudos to the management. Definitely recommend.
Big place. We had idlis for light dinner. They gave dessert as complimentary dish. The atmosphere was okay, some parts of the restaurant could have been cleaner and dry, than dirty and wet, for example the side of the hotel, near the compound wall 🧱, is visible from inside the hotel because of big open doors in the hotel and from some of the tables you have a bad view 😞 Not exactly aesthetic while eating

I had been here quite a few times for breakfast, Vasanta Bhavan, Mylapore has the best Mini Tiffin in the surrounding. THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY - MINI TIFFIN. There has been a few hiccups in the past, but lately it has been just getting better.
The service is just excellent, I had always been welcomed with a smile. Almost always, I prefer to be served by Rajan (from the photo). This guy here will always welcome me with a pleasant smile even as I enter the restaurant.
This time, I had in mind that I have to get in touch with the owner itself (not the restaurant manager) to give some personal credits for the quality food and give deserving credits to Rajan, by which time Rajan came nearby me and said "Sir can you write a review in Google". I said ok and here it is.

We went to nama veedu bhavan in Mylapore after visiting kapaleeswarar temple. We had a wonderful lunch there. The taste was really good and awesome. The kind service provided by Mr. Satish was nice and so caring.
