Double masla chicken biriyani looks like telangana's authentic taste, egg 65 and chicken hyderbadi is must try dishes. Only the disappointment is Ambience is not good.
Had ordered Mutton Biryani and Chilli Prawns. Delivery was pretty quick. So kudos to zomato for that. I would rate the biryani a 4/5. But chilli prawns were excellent..! A definite 5/5!

The kebab had the right mix of sour and spice. The quantity was a bit of concern as the plate got over in few seconds after it was served. The chicken was juicy and fresh and was flawless.
The biriyani being one of the flagship dishes in the restaurant didn't disappoint this connoisseur of biriyani. The long Basmati rice biriyani was cooked to perfection and thankfully not bland. It had the right mix of flavors and the quantity impressed me. The chicken tikka masala was just like any Indian gravy and had nothing to complain.
The staff were really courteous and always served with a wide smile in their face. The ambiance is just average I would say as many restaurants have a really good ambiance with similar price for food. It costed around 750 bucks to satisfy the hungry tummy of two adults and I would say it was reasonable.
A must try biriyani spot for people in and around Vadapalani. Highly recommended.
After a long time, me and my friend decided to go out for lunch. He recommended me to try this place. Ambiance was good and wait time is 25-30 minutes. We ordered Veg Dum Biryani, Naan and Panner Butter Masala. Taste was great and Staff were courteous. This is a must try place and I recommend it !!!

This is mostly a biryani takeaway joint for us. The biryani here is different from the Tamilian style, more of an Andhra style as the name suggests. It never fails to hit the right notes with guests or whoever I have recommended it to. So try it sometime.

The Biriyani here is pretty amazing. Served with 2 pieces of meat and an egg, the Chicken Biriyani cost's ₹195. (According to me the quantity should be a bit more; not sufficient for two people).
The reshmi kebab tastes delicious.
The staffs are well behaved too.

Loved their (real) Hyderabad biriyani so much.
We reached there on a crowded Sunday afternoon.
They have a decent waiting space and within 5 mins we got a place.
Ambiance was above average and decent.
Service was so good in all the aspects like quick, prompt, all the customization requested by - noticed and honored. So 5/5 for service.
Coming to food we ordered mutton Hyderabad biriyani, Hyderabad egg biriyani, curd rice, chappati, Irani chicken and dragon chicken.
Biriyani was awesome ...chanceless..loved it. I can say best Hyderabad biriyani in Chennai I tried.
Irani chicken was so soft and was melting.
Dragon chicken we asked for more sweeter and less spicy suitable for kids and they made it. So great and kudos for the chef and service team.
Chapati was so soft and loved it.
Finally the curd rice - actually we ordered curd rice for our kid and we never expected such a yummy curd rice from a non veg restaurant. We lived the same. It was having a tough fight with biriyani. So yummy and tasty. Loved it.

Mutton biriyani and chicken biriyani tastes really good and the quantity is more. Chicken gravy is good but turmeric smell dominated the gravy. Egg fry in this place is really good.

I tried this place a couple years ago and didn't think it was great but went again with a couple friends and was blown away by their chicken biryani. It is definitely one of the best in the city and for a great price. So much flavor but not too spicy, it's just perfect. The chicken starters were just as good. The wait staff is a little unresponsive but the quality and quantity of food make up for all that.
I visited multiple times and almost all branches.Most of the times I had mutton Biryani, taste and quantity is quite decent especially in Vadapalani branch.Quantity and quality is good, It's a different flavour comparing with Paradise and Zeeshan. Finally it's a decent place to visit.

The order - prawn biryani , hyd chicken 65 , spl prawn fry , 2 romali roti and a butter chicken gravy.
Taste - biryani had loads of prawn and tasted great with the perfect heat from spices , that soul warming taste during hunger. The hyd chicken 65 was a perfect complement to the biryani , tangy and spicy. The spl prawn fry was like a spicy prawn baji of sorts and was ok .
The romali roti was soft and hot and great with the sweet butter chicken gravy

Been to this place quiet often. Just love the Hyderabadi Dum Biriyani. Its not at all Chennai style biryani, as I was in Hyd for 5 yrs know every bit taste of hyd kachhi style. Other than on kebabs try Punjabi tikka it's perfectly spiced juicy.Other dishes are not much different but have Hyderabadi touch. Ambience 2 out of 5 service fast but don't expect much professional they are friendly.

Food- Have tried chicken biriyani, chicken lollipop, garlic fish. All were tasting good.
Ambience- Chairs and tables were comfortable. But the interiors were not that interesting. The service was okay.

Having already been to the Anna Nagar part, stopped as soon as I saw this place while driving by for lunch with my friend.
It is another apartment turned restaurant. Fairly big apartment actually. Simple interiors, nothing fancy about it but it doesn't matter as long as the food is good right!?
So moving on to the food, #Pepper chicken soup was tasteful and good. The #Mutton Chukka was okay, it would have been very good if the pieces were softer and the pieces itself could have been better. #Phuket fish tasted was nice but can be improved upon. It was the Biriyani that stole the show!!

Most of the restaurants provide vegetable biryani in such a sad state.
They don't look alive to me:P Its totally uninviting and sort of sick day meal :D
This is one place where I think the Hyderabad dum vegetable biryani is authentic. Even if you disagree on authenticity,its delicious and classy.
Long unbroken grains,caramelized onions,flavored masala drenched in oil which is again soaking the rice here and there.
That's how all the right ingredients are presented in their optimal best state.
The same goes with non veg biryanis as well,out of which prawn biryani is my favorite.
Huge quantity as easily two adults can share one biryani with no qualms. Non veg biryanis has substantial amount of meat!
The side,birinjal curry needs a special mention. It is in watery consistency,not the usual imli overdose chunky type,but with good spice level.
It can totally pep up the plain part of biryani.
Other notable sides are gobi 65,chicken butter masala and egg masala.
Pricing is on the higher side but never once disappointed in spice mix.
Packaging is neat and delivered hot.
They did mix up order once but was rectified ASAP once informed.
I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for about 9 years ever since we moved to this locality in 2006.Their biryani especially chicken biryani never fails to delight me for its correct blend of spices and meat, not to forget the mirchi ka salan and raitha they serve along with it. Their other north indian and chinese dishes are equally good.Staff are very polite and good.For veg lovers their baby-corn and gobi manchurian are definitely worth trying and non-veg dishes are also equally good.Ambience is nice with comfortable chairs and air conditioning.Food never takes more than 15 minutes to be served.They give a good quantity of food enough to fill a hungry stomach.
Overall a good place to visit along with friends or family for lunch or dinner and you would definitely come out satisfied having got your moneys worth, both in terms of quality and quantity
The most authentic hyderabadi biriyani that I have tasted in chennai so far. Good value for money and the quality and quantity of the biriyani is also great. Have been a fan of this place since 2013 and they have been very consistent I'm terms of taste and quality. Their other north Indian cuisines is pretty good too.

This place served of the best biryanis in town. I attended guest lectures nearby just to have lunch here. The quality has seemed to change now. But one of the best biryanis I have had.

After a long desperate search for a Biryani that had the slightest Hyderabadi touch in Chennai, I visited this place recommended by a friend. This was way back in 2008 but I still remember how delighted I was after tasting it. Well, it might not exactly have the taste of a 'Bawarchi' or a 'Paradise' but it still was more 'Hyderabadi' compared to any other restaurant in Chennai. The masala wasn't too much and the long Dum Chicken leg piece was cooked enough to be softer (I always like when I don't have to struggle to peel the flesh off the bone :) ). Enough curd was mixed to bring the slightly soar taste to the Biryani and the chicken. I loved every bit of it, even my best pal who ordered the Vegetarian version was so fond of it. After then, we visited several several times. However, it has become expensive now, I remember when it was 100 Rs. I guess, now they don't give the whole leg piece but a smaller one. The ambience and service are fine, nothing to complain about. Dishes other than Biryani are average here, not great (should that really matter, Biryani is what I care about in this place) So if you are serious about tasting a Hyderabadi Biryani, you need to try this out at Vadapalani. I wouldn't recommend the one in Ascendas, not sure if they had any other branches.

Perfect quantity and absolute taste. Neither too spicy nor supple. Perfect blend of recipes.
The main highlight is they concentrate on all the small details and the side dish and raitha was worth mentioning. I have never seen such a good raitha served with biriyani in any other restaurants.

I went for lunch to Ramaa's Hyderabadi food court, chennai last month with my family members.The food was tasty and it was fully satisfied to us.The way of servicing was good and appreciable. Especialy Dum Biriyani was superb and the quantity also more. My son liked so much the taste of prawn fry. Even though it was crowded, the waiting time was less .I thought we should bear small inconveniences for a good and tasty food. I also suggested my friends those residing at Chennai and the feed back from them were Good and Satisfactory. I will visit Ramaa's Hyderabadi food court every time when i visit Chennai. Visit at least one time for good taste food and feel my feed back.

The restaurant is located in the first floor of a complex in Arcot Road towards Vadapalani. Their service is really good, right from taking the order to serving the food.
Last time, we tried their Hyderabadi Chicken as a starter which was really good. It wasn't completely dry but kind of a semi gravy with onion and green chillies.
The Hyderabadi Boneless Chicken Briyani was also really good. It's in the authentic hyderabadi format of dum and masala pieces at the bottom. It's served with a plain gravy and a watery onion raitha.
The only dish which was only an average was their egg noodles. Maybe trying out a Chinese food here wasn't the best decision.
Overall, a decent place to try out hyderabadi style food.

Chicken briyani taste has been taste little different its quite decent only but mutton briyani is worthy. Mutton briyani price 305 bucks, chicken briyani price 252 bucks. They giving on 700ml containers it will sufficient for 2 normal eaters, buy its not sufficient for heavy eaters. One briyani for one person will be decent until Share the briyani💯👍
This is my heaven in Chennai after Hyderabad where I can get my love Hyderabadi dum Biryani, this place is trusted by me since 2008 when I've landed in Chennai that year, right from then Rama's never failed to deliver me the same feeling and excitement of the biryani they serve. There are many restaurants in Chennai which prepare hyd biryani, like in Rasavid,Paradise(Chn), Zeeshan, Namma Kitchen, etc., but the biryani in Rama's gives me a unique feeling among others and their masala gives a punch, and the texture, flavour, everything I enjoy a lot.

A biriyani(not the usual biriyani available in Chennai in the name of Hyderabadi) experience which is similar to the biriyani served in Paradise biriyani in Chennai but way better than Paradise biriyani. Please take a note that a single biriyani portion is more than one can eat for. You can definitely give it a try if you like trying out different types of biriyanis.
