This is a modernized roadside shop so there’s no tables or service (it’s all Kaiyendi Bhavan). Even parking might be a hassle so be on your toes all the time. The best part might be the price which is good for the food they serve.
Have been to this place both during their lunchtime and by night.
By noon I had tried their Mini meals.
It was filled with one veggie (long beans), Kesari, Chapathi-Kurma, Sambar rice, Brinji and Curd rice.
Though on the whole, I was just satisfied with the varieties in my plate, I liked the spiciness of the Brinji and the sweetness in the Kesari. I also wasn’t a big fan of the beans and the Chapathi which was kinda dry; Curd rice was simple yet pleasing. The chillies in the curd rice elevated the kick all around, pickles and vada on the side was perfect (not hot yet OK).
*Rating for lunch would be 3/5
For the dinner it was,
Chilli Idli – Very Spicy, moderate soft Idli immersed in a hot and savoury sauce; had good flavours and was unique
Panner Noodles – Pretty Normal, neither spicy nor stale; was just alright
Butter Vadacurry Dosa – Medium to large-sized dosa filled with a generous amount of butter, oozing on the whole on top of which was the spicy curry; mixed flavours made it worth
Podi Mushroom Dosa – Chilli podi sprinkled as raindrops from the clouds on the dosa; the mushroom masala was good though not the best; can try once, feels heavy.
*Dinner deserved 4/5; Idli/Dosa wins the race scoring 5/5
Good place to have food in street. They serve food within two minutes of order. Price is little high. Food is delicious and worth of money. Amd their chutney and sambar are best with dosa.. They have variety of dosa and fast food items.
Ordered quite a few times from this place and it has been good mostly. The packing is neat as well. If you're a dosa person, you can surely order from this place. Suggestion would be to add more items to the delivery menu if possible.
Road side food but good food. The prices aren't low though. Their vadacurry wasn't that good. Dosas are Ok though. A one time visit btw. Overrated for no reason.

Good place to have fast food. This place serve very delicious food in reasonable price. The food is served very fast just within 2-5mins. The kitchen is in our eye sight.so, everything can be cleanly noted. This place is even open during late nights

Their dosa are crisp and perfect and their batter is excellent. Many a times even the good restaurants you can taste the overfermented batter but not here.
You can try many variants of dosa with peas, vadacurry, gobi masala, podi with either the butter or plain variant. They serve three varieties of chutney with sambar.
You would have to stand and have food. After billing, there is always jostling for the food with crowd, would be better if they organise it better by the bill number.
They are open till 11.30, so perfect for late night food.

Who doesn't know about the KTC. A Place which is filled with crowd even at late night and early in the morning. This place deserves 5 stars but I shall give 4 because the Chinese and other items are average.The tiffin items is the best of best you get in any other place.

⭐Idly - Soft spongy hot cakes ....goes well with sides but the size is small.
⭐Pongal- No complain about it ...you definitely can try it as it is one of the best seller in this place and the quantity is worth it rates.
⭐ VadaCurry- Dry Vada Gravy with tastes good and if you order plain dosa and idly this is a perfect match. Its Quantity is worth it's rate.
⭐Khichdi- Made with Rava with blends the taste and with all the veggies it goes well with sugar and kruma
⭐Plain Dosa- Plain Dosa is average and nothing special.
⭐Nodles- It's good and can taste it and taste good and spicy
⭐Vada Curry Dosa- The best of best and definitely a bestseller in this restaurant and it's 5 star tasty.
⭐ Gobi Manchurian- Very bad definitely didn't make well for me as it was semi gravy and didn't make well when it came for me in a packing.
⭐ Fried Rice- Not good it was so spicy and wasted money 2 times in spending on Chinese items here.
After consulting came to end that this place is best for tiffin,snacks and tea. Chinese items depend on the luck when you try there or get it delivered.Over all 5 stars.
Sambhar, Tomato chutney,Mint Chutney are really good and the Vada Curry is a must try here.
The cheap and best place for south indian food.. They take street food to the next level.. They provide you unlimited sambar and three types of chutneys. I am giving only 5 stars because i cnt give more..
If I want to have fried rice, this is the place which comes to my mind. If a vegetarian who wants to have fried rice in non-veg fast food style. This is the place for you guys. Fast food blended with South Indian dishes. Price is cheap compared other eateries and quality is also good at the same time.

Tucked away on a busy main road, this place is a MUST visit when you are in Anna Nagar.
I’ve been eating here every time that I used to visit chennai and the taste and quality have remained the same.
Butter Podi Dose is supposed to be one of their specialty and oh boy it tastes absolutely delicious.
The vadacurry dose is equally delicious. The dosa comes with a filling of really flavourful vadacurry.
The kichadi here is one of my favourites. The portion is big enough to be a meal in itself.
Each dish comes with a coconut chutney and mint chutney which I absolutely love.
Yummy dosa with variety of toppings and dollop of butter makes it even more rich and tasty. I tried butter peas masala dosa, butter podu dosa and butter masala dosa everything was great the best was butter peas masala.

A small tiny place to have a quick tiffin at the busy Anna Nagar lane ,tasty and varieties of dosa variations available like butter podi, butter vadacurry dosa, butter podi pattani etc.. Etc.. , all tastes different and good, there butter is really good and tastes pure, there kichadi, pongal is also tasty ,,like other food joints they have even got barotta, chapati, and Chinese for tradition,, but there dosa's Steal the lime light,,, slightly over priced could improve the chutneys taste, however sambar is mouth watering..
on a whole a place to think on a busy day to have a satisfied quick meal ...keep it up!!

I used to have breakfast and dinner from this joint only.
The food is awesome although the place is always crowded and you have to wait atleast 20 minutes to get your order but when you sit down and eat it's absolutely worth it.

I was asked to try this place by quite a few people and so I decided to give it a shot. I went there for breakfast and had the butter vadakari dosa! It was my first time having a vadakari dosa and was pleasantly surprised by it. Though slightly heavy, it tasted good. An affordable place that delivers on taste.
One of the oldest and best place to eat in Anna nagar. Butter dosa is the best and their green chutney is amazing. Easy to locate because of the crowd all the time.

For this this place will be an emotional place for many people in and around anna nagar esp for most of the students and bachelors because this will not be an ordinary tiffin centre in one’s life, this place will become a regular bf/dinner place for many including me. One cannot simply ignore their podi dosa and gobi fried rice.. They are masters of Dosa I’ll say.. the chutney and sambar creates finger licking moment always 😋

Located Just next to hot chips,,u can easily locate it with the crowd pull they have!!
It's a veg fast food kind,,they serve you all kinds of dosas,,and other chinese stuffs like fried rice or even pongal,chapathi and parota!

They are utterly butter ,,they just spread a dollop of butter over it ,sprinkle lavish amount of podi,, yaay that too with the sambar and chutney,,I bet u can't get enough of it!! It taste heaven!! Me and my husband man are freaky and madly in love with their sambar!! We could literally drink it too!!😋

Open from 6am to 1 am, KTC is an actual self service Super-Fast-Food South Indian joint serving the crispiest dosas, super soft idlis & the likes with unlimited sambhar & chutney. if you're bored/hungry and you don't want to spend too much, this is the place to go to.
BEWARE of a 100 other Hungry people staring at dosas being made like Vultures ,though.

Plain dosai, vadacurry dosai, parotta, mushroom fried rice.
Mushroom fried rice was toothsome 💞.
Vadacurry dosai- another mouthwatering dish it was.❤
Plain dosai - a normal one.✌
Parotta and Kurma, which didn't make a good pair.👎 It didn't taste like Kurma actually.

thier dosa was so craving and i had to go for another one and had medhu vada, it was an evening time though i didn't know i had to wait for atleast 15min for my dosa the taste broke them all and their sambhar and chutney was so good that i drool into them.
This place have only self service and you have to eat standing holdin the plates good experience though for a good food:)

This is a more hygienic version of the thallu vandi kadai. The taste of the food here is far far better than any other restaurant in anna nagar. They serve only veg food. The butter podi dosa is a must try with the lavish amount of butter, it just melts in your mouth.The Chinese items served here are also equally good. There is no place to sit and eat and take away from here is not a good option. Its better you eat it hot from the kitchen. Parotta amd its gravy is not thier plus.Avoid it. The place is open even at the night opposed to what they have specified in thier page.

For dinner, Their Dosa varieties are so diverse and very tasty without biting your pocket. Their Sambar and 2 Chuttnies always tempt you have one extra dosa!
And their Chapathis are also very soft and delicious. It goes well with their authentic veg kuruma!!
Only con here that you need to wait to get your order as it's mostly crowded.
P.S: The restaurant now closes at 11pm itself! Be wary of that.

I tried butter podi dosa and barota. Both were yummy. 😋 I would recommend to try those. Apart from that, the side dishes are kept aside for us to pour as much as we want.

One of the best tiffin joint in Anna Nagar I believe. Always filled with people but well managed. Consistent taste. We tried take away as well as in dine(stand and eat only). Only veg. Their dosa varieties are so great especially their butter dosa. One of the regular spot.

Karthik Tiffin Centre! Midnight hungerness? Well this is the right place , which serves you amazing south indian tiffin till 1 am. This as proved to be an famous streetfood joint which is usually crowded all the time even at midnight. They are famous for their varieties of dosa's and their hot hot pongal, apart from these they also serve parotta's, chappathi's , fried rice and veg variety gravies and starters.
I'd personally recommend their #Butter_Podi_dosa and #Panner_friedrice.
Apart the food, there isnt much of ambience to talk about as its a streetfood joint and its crowded almost all the time.
The only draw back is the hygiene of place. The hygiene is quiet bad.
Overall a nominal place for good food and for nightzombies foodies,which very pocket friendly.

Karthik Tiffin Centre is a small shop on the corner of the road, easily noticeable, thanks to a huge crowd of people standing and eating or waiting for their orders. Karthik Tiffin Centre is a little traditional joint which offers beautiful butter podi dosas, and melt-in-mouth idlis amongst a variety of other dosas, vadaas, etc. The chutneys are easily some of the best chutneys I've eaten in Chennai -rich, flavourful and sharp. Another thing I like about this place is that it's open till around 1.30 a.m., which is great for lazy people like me. Karthik Tiffin Centre is one of my go to places for food in Chennai. Something which I personally think could be bettered here, however, is the seating space, the absence of which leads to a crowd around the restaurant and it's better to be able to sit down for your food in the Chennai heat.
Hygienity is what drives people here.. nightu foodie shop.. can be seen flooded with Audis and Benz.
Taste is good for vegetarian.. gobi fried rice is a must try dish here..

Butter podi dosa was brilliant. Gobi noodles tasted good as well , and it's quantity was abundant. Decent pricing overall, considering the quality of food provided.

Seeing the hype around Karthik Tiffin Center, I decided, earlier, to visit this place. This branch has been recommended as the best branch of the 3 branches in Anna Nagar by a fellow foodie. They sadly don't accept cards.
I ordered a Butter Podi Dosa (₹50) and saw it in the making. Wish I had photographed it. There was SO much Podi that the Batter beneath it was hardly seen. When I had it. I knew the hype was real. The butter, though added to the fresh smell, was very subtle in taste. But the Podi, Chance eh illa! The dosa was optimally spicy and the Podi was grainy and bite-able which added to the taste.
Recommended visit for people living nearby :)
A food joint in Anna Nagar for night time south Indian food or any time of the day . From the idly to the dosai and uttapam , rarely u won like it . My personal favorite are podai dosai and cauliflower dosa .There are no.restiction on sambar and chatni . For the value , u will like to go more than once . 4 out of 5 for this food joint

A person living in Annanagar need not to be told about this place. Have been going here since so many years and thought of posting a review when I went here yet again! You get a variety of Dosas and also Pongal, vadas, and Parotha. Their chutneys are very tasty as well. Earlier they had 3 varieties of Chutney, which is 2 now. Go here for a quick and tasty breakfast.
One of the place where you get quick service, at times you need to slog for some time coz of the crowd. Gives you good south Indian dosas with many flavours. Quality is great and they are getting along with the customers all the time.
A good road side restaurant situated in the heart of Anna nagar. The taste of the dishes made here are awesome and mouthwatering. Especially must try dish here is Vadacurry Dosa , it tastes yummy. Sambar and chutney combo is stupendous. On coming to delivery of food, its done really fast even though there are large number of customers waiting in queue. Taste of the food items are very yummy and price of dishes are reasonable. Must try vegetarian restaurant with friends.
I can't call myself a foodie if I haven't been to this place at least once. Fortunately, I've been here multiple times, to hold on to my title.
It's more of a landmark for Anna Nagar than being just a eatery. It's the go-to place where delicious and simple South Indian fare. From crispy dosas and vadas to fluffy parottas, their menu has got the basics of satisfying hunger right on target.
Oh did I mention? You can have a filling meal here in under 50 bucks per head. If that's not pocket friendly, I'm not sure what is.
A place need not have a great ambience, a high price and ostentation to give good tasty food. U wot go wrong here in your satisfaction index of whatever u have - dosas standout . And coffee is also great
First ever 5 rating in my experience.. Karthik Tiffen Centre is one awesome restaurant fr awesome dosas. Have been a regular Eater here for so many years. They have added idlies, parottas, chapathis to their menu.. however dosas are best here.. though I feel the size of dosa is reduced now, you can shell out ur money for the tasty, hygienic dosas, sambar, chutney here.. be informed, after 9 PM the place becomes busy and crowded, you got to wait for a long time for ur order. Haven't tried the other locations, but I have heard this place stands out unique from the other branches. This is a pure veg, south Indian restaurant offering only tiffen items.. enjoy...
Ignore the ambience and stand in of this place . This place is one of the finest eateries in chennai 😋 every dish of them are quite tasty and never disappoints u . I personally love their podi dosa ,gobi dosa and veg kotthu . Chutney here is amazing total value for money . Love KTC . Always my favourite drop in 😋😀

We can go for cheap and good food..no sitting place have to wait for diiferent type of dosa near good hotels ..still makes people to this tiffin centre for their prices,which we can't get in annanagar

This place is always crowded due to the location and the food. Variety of dosas and Tiffen items are great. Fast food items at the night aren't mean either. One can have there, take aways and also eat sitting inside the car. At night this is a comfortable place to eat good Tiffen. Modern and sophisticated thattu kadai experience. Must try and I'm sure you will repeat.
Easy to find as it is located on the mainroad. Tried Podi Dosa,Vada and Poori. I really likee the podi dosa and the kurma that comes with poori. Price on the premium side. Fast serving. Would recommend for a visit.

Went to this hyped shop on a late night(around 3AM) very limited menu. Priced slightly on a higher side. Decent dosa and a very average sambar and chutney. Not worth the hype.
If you any one speaks about night life and good food in chennai, they would have definitely heard about the Karthik tiffin centre opposite to the thirumangalam metro station. Even at midnight one can observe a great crowd enjoying the food outside the tiffin center. Parking can be done in the adjacent road or in front of the tiffin center. The side dishes are to be self served and token system exists for the order. Even with a huge crowd, one will get food in a timely manner and we can literally see how our food is made because of it being an open kitchen. So a must try location in chennai especially for late night foods.

Taste of food is awesome. South Indian food is must try here. Rush is always there as quality of food is very high. But there is no sitting arrangement. Also waiting time is very high especially in night.
Karthik Tiffin Centre is an ideal spot for a variety of affordable tiffin items. Personally, I recommend the paneer dosai, though I wasn't a fan of the taste of the rava onion dosai. Overall, the other options are quite satisfying.
So damn yum food spot. Hot hot dosas with awesome varieties, tiffen and rice varieties available too. It's basically a self-service spot with stand n eat kinda thing, but no compromise in taste or quantity. Pure veg spot too.
Amazing dosas. i tried the ghee panner podi dosa and ghee Gobi podi dosa and they were amazing! No place to sit tho. Id suggest you to take a 2 wheeler and use it as a table and eat there as many people were doing that and it was convenient 😂

Yesterday we as family went for dinner Herr and soo much of crowded. The food taste was not as expected. Due to heavy rush customers were not properly serviced. Actually I ordered mushroom fried rice but they've given me gopi rice. I didn't approached to replace because of much crowd. The location of the shop is good and the corner shop. Easy for find a place to settle because here taking food in standing posture. Surely We can try the taste once

Superb place to have breakfast and dinner with only VEG items. really enjoyed the taste and atmosphere. very good place to have light food with best cheap price. price is very reasonable compare to other shop and mostly taste is so good.
