I have visited here first time. Im from Sri Lanka. I tried whole dishes our country as well… but this location dishes bit more tasty. I loved the foods and the way they treated me😍. As a tourist, definitely try this place to taste
We ordered mutton boneless biryani because of they didn't have the option with the bone. As usual , They provide you with 4 boneless pieces a small bowl of raita, a boiled egg and a bowl of gravy. The biryani was perfectly cooked and the quality of the rice was really good and their mutton pieces were juicy and the spices were perfectly blended. I'd recommend you to have one bite wherein you have some egg, a piece of mutton, a bit of raita with onions with the rice.
Dindigul Thalappakatti food/biryani is always good, but the customer service is little bit notable here. Initially we asked the Vanjaram fry and they said yes it is available we will take the order but after sometime they are saying it is over. We changed the plan and ordered Chicken lollypop but again they are saying the dish is not available as of now. Most of the dishes mentioned in the menu is not available here. Finally we ordered Chilli fish fry , but the making and serving time is too slow , its almost 25 min to serve the dish to us.
Pros :
Flavor of the mutton biryani.
Ambience
Cons:
Less Quantity
Service is too slow
Most of the dishes are not available
Note: I Really suggest that they should increase the quantity of mutton pieces, I'm pretty sure it will really make it awesome and value for money.
It’s an excellent restaurant for non vegetarian food. I absolutely loved their black pepper chicken and egg veech parotta. The restaurant was packed full on a Saturday afternoon and moreover their service was excellent even in busy periods. I would highly recommend this place.
The flavors of briyani here in chennai vs their branch in other countries are waaaaay so much more flavorful. The aroma was really appetizing. Tried their gun powder chicken, which was really good.
Great food. Mutton biryani is the best. Followed by Sukka. Ambience is simple. End it up with Ice cream and Gulab jamun. Surely recommended if one is in this region.

Briyani and parottaaa was so good….
Moru moru prawn was good…
Loved the chickpea dip which was given along with alfaham chicken….
Jigurthanda was awesome…
I had the mutton boneless biryani. They didn't have the option with the bone which I think is not at all justified. The actual flavour comes from the bone.
They provide you with 4 boneless pieces a small bowl of raita, a boiled egg and a bowl of salan.
The quality of the rice was really good. Each and every rice grain had flavour in it. The biryani was perfectly cooked. Their mutton pieces were juicy and the spices were perfectly blended. I'd recommend you to have one bite wherein you have some egg, a piece of mutton, a bit of raita with onions with the rice. It's a very heavenly combo.
I really loved the flavor and the quantity was ok.
I'd really suggest that they should increase the quantity of mutton pieces, I'm pretty sure it will really make it awesome and value for money.

Food was so good especially Mr shiva (captain)has has good services skills biryani was so good
One of the most authentic thalapakatti experiences you can find in Tamilnadu. Best place for a wonderful dine in. The restaurant can be crowdy a bit in the evenings.
I recommend you to try the black pepper chicken which was one my absolute favourites of this restaurant. On the other hand, I strongly don't recommend non-south Indian dishes like the butter chicken. Instead of being sweet it's more tangy and will not fit your expectation.
The dindugal biriyani is a major highlight of the restaurant. Unlike the trademark biriyani shops of chennai like ss hyderabadi that use basmati rice, thalapakatti uses the traditional jeerga samba rice which is must taste to try out authentic South Indian cuisine.
The taste of biryani was fantastic but bit high spice and the quantity was low. One chicken 65 biryani cost ₹309 and mutton biryani was ₹315. The atmosphere was good. The pot they used to serve the biryani is quite intelligent to hold the rice for long time but the quantity it holds is less. For Seeraga Samba rice and fine taste with fine cooked meat, it's ok to dine in.
Found a hair in the dish served. They promptly apologized, and replaced the Biryani pot. Overall the flavours are well balanced. The unique taste is retained over the years
Food is good but I would recommend to improve costomer order management. I spend an hour here and out of it 30 min just waiting for bill.
Nice food biryani and chicken bbq is best
