The Best coffee shop (that encourages hours of talking, board games if bored) in Chennai with reasonable rates and variety of the best menus. When you go there, you feel like buying the time and ambience inside along with coffee or tea. The best part: coffee guy knows that people come in a coffee shop to talk and have good time, so he always intentionally delays in serving (this is unique in this coffee shop).
Best place for discussions,Feel good place for relaxing
Great place to relax.. Nice ambience with decent book collection..
Coffee central holds a special place in my heart.Have spent the best times here with my closest friends and family. One can sit here for hours playing the in house board games over a latte and nobody would tell you anything. They have the most perfect caramel frappe.Good finger foods too. This place is a must try.
My favorite coffee shop in chennai! And the chocolate explosion just blows my mind away!
Just coz of the name! --where F.R.I.E.N.D.S meet-- 😍
For review your moment it's the right place.
A quiet little place that might go unnoticed on the side of the road. It isn’t too big but a decent place with a decent ambience.
They have a few games tucked away in a bookshelf. They did have quite a few games that were fun to play for two people.
I’m a person who loves vintage and this place reminded me exactly of that.
We ordered the following:
1. Lemon ginger tea
2. Roast chicken sandwich
3. Oreo milkshake
The food was alright, loved the taste but it’s nothing too different.
Definitely recommend the place to try out their games and have snacks on the side!
Located on a busy street with almost nil parking facility for cars, the decor was quite impressive. The food menu was quite limited while the beverages menu had sufficient varieties.
We went for a masala fries, paneer sandwich, south indian coffee, hazelnut hot chocolate, peach iced tea and a masala chai.
The drinks were mostly spot on but the food was more impressive.Paneer sandwich was mildly spiced and cooked indian style. The brown bread used was soft.
The masala fries were crisp, fresh and quantity was quite generous.
A small cafe with a limited amount of seating with less crowd, a good place to spend a little amount of time with your close ones, their range of coffee are good, a little bigger menu would add so much to this place.
Nice place located in the main road was the sandwiches were good and the hot chocolate too! They place could have been maintained a little better but a nice place for a spending time evening with friends with not much crowd
A small place walkable from G.N chetty road. It would go unnoticeable if you were driving by in a car.
It has 90's themed interior and a song track of English hits of the nineties. A relaxing place to be with friends/family or to even finish up some office work.
The place in T.Nagar that gives an option to choose wheat bread if you are a fan of sandwiches. The paneer Tikka and veg Tikka sandwiches being my favorites.
This is a quaint little cafe with a decent amount of beverages and food on their menu. Dropped in this Saturday afternoon and found the place fairly busy. I had the cappuccino which was just perfect with the strong flavour of the coffee and the sweetness of the milk. It was so good I skipped adding sugar altogether (from a person who likes her filter coffee on the sweeter side). My friend had cafe Mocha and loved it as well.
We had the apple pie which was warm and cinnamon-y. Loved the taste. Though it stuck to your teeth a bit due to the gooey consistency of the pie filling.
We also had the Cheese Lettuce Tomato fried egg sandwich which was one of the best simplistic sandwiches I have had in Chennai.
Coffee central on my first visit after a long wait proved very satisfying and easy on the pocket. Their coffee is outstanding. I will visit again.
This is such a decent cafe, really worth a visit. Its very much close to AGS cinemas. On a random visit, found it to be empty but the menu is quite decent and the prices too. The best thing is even the food here is really good. I really enjoyed the cold frappe. It was strong like how any coffee should be and was not too sweet as well. The masala french fries and the sandwiches were also really good to my surprise. This can be a good spot for AGS movie goers to have a quick bite and a decent coffee, while waiting for the movie to begin.
With a dimly lit ambience, and a nice place to have your conversations, this place can get coffee lovers high :). We ordered the Mocha Frost and The Layered Mocha which is a layer of hot espresso, icecream and cold coffee. They top with a pretty flower design. Being addicted to cold coffee, I would not say they serve the best cold coffee, but they do have a strong aroma of coffee popping out of the drinks. So in case you like your coffee strong and not milk laden and sweetened, you can try this place! :)
Sunday evening after all the hectic shopping in t nagar, we we're searching for a place to just chill and have something good to drink.
Zomato showed an option of this Coffee central, based on the rating we decided to head straight there. On a Sunday evening at 5PM the place was almost full with just a single table left which we we're lucky enough to have.
The place is well designed and I love the pictures that have been put up on the walls. Also the seating arrangement is well planned.
Talking about the food, we had hash browns, fried egg sandwich and a Java ecstasy..
Although hash browns seemed to be a pre cooked and just fried but the taste was awesome.
Next up the sandwich was equally good making it a good pair with the hash browns.
Next was the Java ecstasy which was mind blowing, a perfect blend of coffee and cream along with scoops of ice cream. Indeed a delight..
A must visit place if you wanna have some good options to drink with some evening snacks.
Best coffee place in Chennai. Better quality than Starbucks or other cafés. Try the caramel frappe, the place is equipped with a small library and set of board games.
A coffee spot hidden in the hustle of t.nagar. Lovely place with a suttle ambience and provides some good coffee and snacks along with books board games cards etc etc time pass to hang out with frnds.
A hidden gem among the hustle and bustle of t nagar is coffeecentrals
Hot chocolate - 105 INR
Indulgence - 140 INR
Chicken tikka sandwich - 115 INR
Chicken pasta - 245 INR
Sacred sin - 190 INR
Total - 949 INR (Inclusive of tax and GST)
Verdict 👩⚖️- This quaint place is perfect for chilling out, the food tasted perfect, but the sandwich could have had a bit more meat.

nice place to come with your friend or partner
small n cute place
lots of books n board games (😍 loving them)
Food - ordered sandwich - they are nice
ice tea (highly sweet (I had to request them to use less sugar)
desserts steal the show - they bake desserts
I tried blue berry muffin - loved it
An intresting atmosphere. Silent place and a place to have fun with friends also. The food is delicious. My fav is Strawberry & banana yogurt smoothie !
This place is very close to my heart. Amazing place to hang out with friends- it’s small and cosy! They have amazing popcorn and Pasta! I have visited this place way too many times and it has never been a disappointment 😀
Unfortunately haven't had the coffee here but their sandwiches, hash browns and shakes were excellent. The ambience was also quite great and is a quiet place where one can just takr a laptop and go do their work and have some food coffee along. Nice find.. would like to go again for thwir coffee
There are hardly few cafe's in Chennai that focuses only on their USP and not mess around with the menu with many other items. Coffee central is one such cafe that focuses on coffee 😍😘. A small cafe that can occupy around 15-20 people maximum. Beautiful interiors with lots of customised cups, a shelf for books and you've got board games as well to spend quality time with your friends.
Hazelnut Hot Chocolate - Thick, hot and perfectly made hot chocolate served with fresh cream on top. 😍😘.
Cappuccino - Again, no issues 😀. Perfectly made strong coffee 😍.
The quantity is quite less for the pricing. Taste and quality wise, this place is VFM. Perfect place for a nice cup of coffee with your loved ones ❤
A small place that brightens your day! Not too many items on the menu, but everything is really good. I love their hot chocolate and sandwiches.
Taste : Absolutely delicious. ordered chilli cheese sandwich, panneer sandwich, veg tikka sandwich, hot chocolate, sinful brownie, french fries. Really good. Brownie was outta this world!
Price : Worth it.
Decor : Small room furnished with brown tables and chairs, mirrors, cool photos on the walls and movie posters, a shelf with toys, board games, bookcase.
Ambience : Pleasant.
Service : Prompt and courteous.
Crowd : Almost filled tables.
Has become my favourite hang out spot this year. It's got the perfect cup of coffee and munchies like popcorn and fries to accompany long hours of conversation. The desserts are equally good.
Friendly staff and not too heavy on your pocket.
It's one of those places which is not great, but really really good.
One of the best coffee places I've been to. This quickly became my default coffee place when in need to plan one alone or with friends. Not just the food but also the board games they offer, make the day better. Coffee on the rocks along with a game of uno can always brighten a day. When in need, always go for coffee.
When confused, Always choose coffee. In short, turn to coffee for solution. Always, coffee.
Day before yesterday my friend and me went to visit this place because it was very near to our work place. After entering the place I felt very cosy. They have some border games and cards as well. So if u r coming with friends it will not be fun. We ordered hot tea, lemon Ice tea, chicken sandwich and vegetable cheese sandwich. All those are very testy but I am disappointed with the lemon Ice tea. It was not at all good. Our bill was 580 which is OK I felt. the ice lemon tea could be testy. Overall for

This place is currently on my favourite list .
My kind of place .
Great interiors.
Great music choice.
Pretty amazing lighting and gives the best mood for the people who want to go on coffee date .
This place has lots of books , board games to catch up .
My favourite pastry is apple pie and it is made here only .
I Highly recommend this place for the best evening.!
Great service too !
Even though located opposite the Ags theatre this place fails to draw attention but if you do discover it you'll love it. Good food, good coffee and good service...Really cool minimalistic setup. Do check this place out If you are at gn chetty road or have come for movie at Ags.
So my recent addiction is to write songs and I went there with my fellow budding music friend, decided to pen down few lines while having a sip of my love coffee as well. Compact place with loud music is not a criteria to write but we somehow got ourself mingled to both the place and the food.
IRISH LATTE was such an amazing caffeine to rise up your low spirits. Loved it. While CAPPUCCINO was average. MASALA FRENCH FRIES was well done, crisp, was good in both quantity and quality. CHILLI CHEESE SANDWICH done in litter harder bread with outer layer didn't taste great but stuffings were too good. BROWNIE TORNADO even though done like a brownie ice cream, both was separately kept and when combinedly eaten with soft cake and superb vanilla, it was really good.
The bill was around 750 ₹ and it was worth for spending some 3 hrs around progressing in both the sessions combined. Service was really good. He did made us comfortable.
Overall - Central coffee the other way round hits the right chord for a perfect place to chill out with some really good coffee's and good food. Parking is a bit problem, and they close by 10 p.m sharp, another full stop if planning for the late night coffee.
Certainly one of the most reasonable places to hang out at often!
Location : Very close to AGS Cinemas. Just off GN Chetty Road. A small single roomed cafe with a partially open kitchen. They have a cover for about 25-30 people. And yes, they were fully occupied that Sunday evening.
Decor : Tables and couches / chairs of all sizes dot the room. Try not to use the couches against the wall - I felt that they were rather uncomfortable. They were small width wise.
Of all that we ordered, I managed to get a taste of these, and I must state, I enjoyed them .
- The Blackberry Ice Tea! Is a bliss for this weather. A must have if you like the fruit. No tinge of essence and certainly refreshing.
- Both the Veg and the Chicken pizzas were creamy and filling. We went with the white sauce pastas.
- The Choco Mud Pie - Sinful, yes. Makes a great cheat day treat!
- Vanilla Milkshake - icecream based, yes. But, done well.
Cost : We paid about 250 bucks a person for all that we ate. Literally almost a dinner for most of us.
Bottomline : Costwise, it's a place that you could depend on.

We went there on a saturday evening to catch up with few friends over a game of scrabble.
So this place is bang on the main road with difficulty to park.
However they have some yumm coffee drinks and chocolate desserts.
Do try it out.
Reminds you of a very old cafe set in the 90s
Like a small town feeling
We ordered mixed sauce pasta
Triple layered coffee
Chocolate explosion
Fizzy lime - it tasted so weird
This place is for the fun outing with friends. It has some books and a lot of games like pictionary, Scrabble etc. The ambience is a 3/5. For it's a small place slightly less lit. It has no parking or restroom facility. However it has all the cozy couch and simple decors.
The service is good. Though minimal number of serving people. The service is prompt and good.
The food is a very typical simple food. Coffees, pastries, sandwiches and pastas only. Not many options even in these.
Giving a 3.5 only for the amazing time you can have with your gang of friends playing games. Food is secondary here.

This place used to be the most happening place almost 10 years back!! But I think it's been the same and never lost the quality! Their hot chocolate and pastas are so good! This is a really good cozy place to spend hours with your friends.
At one pleasant evening, i was craving to have some tasty food.
Went to the coffee central which is opposite to my office.
Ordered three sandwiches for take away.
Taste was awesome and their customer service was also good.
Couples who are near by T-nagar should surely try.
Stumbled onto this place today when I visited 10D.
Pretty decent place to hang out with a couple of friends and yap around for hours. Spent a couple of hours playing board games.
Had the hot chocolate here, which tasted real good.
Coffee central was on my wishlist for a pretty long time, visited this place on an evening. A tiny cafe with limited seating, yet suitable for all age groups as you can sit here for hours yapping and playing some board games that they have, while you wait for your order to arrive.
We ordered two portions paneer sandwiches, fries and apple pie to munch on and the famous Brownie tornado.
Paneer sandwiches were crispy and perfect, stuffing was extremely good . Fries were good, large in number, sufficient for two people. Apple pie was not bad, felt it was just okay. Could have been better. Brownie tornado is a chocolate lover's Bliss. A concoction of whipped cream, Brownie and chocolate chip. What more could you ask for?
We paid around Rs 650, inclusive of everything.
A cool hangout spot when in T. Nagar and to enjoy some quality time with loved ones at pocket friendly rates.
A good place to hangout with friends. The decor is appealing. The service is fine. Easy to find. A place to relax.
I had coffee whirl , it was good. And the hazelnut latte tasted a bit different from my past experiences of having it. But I still liked it.

It should not be tough to find Coffee Central if you follow the maps. If you ask me for a landmark I would say Vani Mahal, take the road next to the mahal and continue to drive in left side towards Vijaya Raghava road; so the first left is N.Boag road where you will find the cafe. Parking your two-wheelers will be easy but otherwise it’s gonna be a pain. Talking about the ambience, the place is small yet looks cosy and beautiful but the loud music happens to be an annoying factor. The place is small that a minute increase in the volume feels like hitting you head with hammer and it’s shouldn’t be tough to overhear what people speak in the nearby table.
Taste & Variety: I was craving for a dessert and a drink so we kept the order simple; the order was Apple Pie, Chai Latte and Layered Mocha. The apple pie tasted alright but wasn’t the best I have had in town. The tart could have been crumbly but taste-wise no complaints. The flavour of apple was evident but the cinnamon was highly dominating the taste.
If I am not wrong the chai latte should be frothy but there was no froth of the creamy milk. With respect to the taste it was too good, the masala flavour was so distinct and definitely a much needed one.
And finally the Layered mocha with hot espresso bottom layer with cold chocolate sauce, ice cream, cold coffee and warm milk foam. The medley of hot and cold layers along with the strong flavour of the espresso and chocolate brings a blissful feel. This one is total love. The portion is ideal for a person and quality of the beverages was good.
Price: We paid Rs. 387 INR for the above three items; compared to the branded coffee shops the price seems reasonable. Coffee Central is definitely a great hangout spot if you want to spend some time as well as keep the food part economical.
Wonderful ambience along with great food. Laidback place where you can chill and eat at your own pace. Been here twice and had the best masala cheese fries, thai iced coffee, chocolate explosion, and goreng noodles. The service is quick and friendly. They have a good collection of books and board games as well. Oh and don't miss out on looking at the fridge magnets right next to the counter. Or the photos on the wall. Just the right place to hang out and chill alone or with friends while you get good food. It is situated right in the heart of T.Nagar so you just can't miss out on this place at all. And you shouldn't. I wish I had known of this place earlier. Best neighbourhood coffee shop.
Location : 3/5
Right opposite ags cinemas T. Nagar, small place zero parking space and no valet available
Ambience: 3/5
Small place but well maintained, but they don't accommodate a hard wash or wash room. They have a few board games for you.
Food: 4/5
Good
Service: 2.5/5
Slow and they need to be repeatedly requested for your needs.
Spacious cafe very close to the consulate of Singapore.Appealing antique furniture & decor ranging from "Monroe" punk art to pictures of colonial Chennai adorn the walls. What the cafe has to offer is good as well.Nice sandwiches with add ons, good pasta, finger food & the standard frappes, iced teas & shakes to wash their fare down.Have just touched the tip of the iceberg as of now, will have to sample more of what they have to offer to really go ga ga about this cafe.Wish they had burgers & good music but.Why not omelettes as well?
This place is so comforting that you'll never want to come out. Maybe I felt like this because after a long tiring day in college, I met my best friend here and voilà, it is comforting!
The place is quite small actually. But they have sufficient tables and chairs to accommodate quite a number of people. We decided to sit on the couch near the window and what a *bliss* it was! They have loads of board games that one could play with their friends. The walls are filled with classic movie posters and they also have a row of figurines in their kitchen (or were they bobbleheads? Pardon my poor eyesight!).
I badly wanted a cup of coffee, and my friend suggested that I should try the Layered Mocha. It was basically hot and cold layers of Espresso along with Chocolate Sauce, Ice Cream and Milk. It was weird to have in the beginning, but after mixing properly, it became as one and the cold nature totally suppressed the hotness of the coffee.
My friend had their Lemon and Ginger tea which was kinda like a role reversal, because most of the time, I only have tea, whereas he sticks with coffee. Nevertheless, the tea that they served here was so refreshing and energising. This place does have an interesting menu, which am going to try soon!

Another great place to grab a cup of coffee with your friend while you play some amazing board games here. The ambience is good and so is the service. Chennai is coming up with a lot of awesome coffee places, this being one too.
The café's ambience was really very good

A small comfortable place to catch up with buddies ! Visited twice on a full stomach and ordered the espresso double shot (can never go wrong) and the sinful Brownie, a perfect blend of Brownie and Ice cream. Ordered a salted caramel sauce on the side and it wasn't salty enough. But a very reasonably priced café with a decent menu with enough options for all. Perhaps next time, I'll get to try the food here.
This is about a small and cozy cafe in T.Nagar, it is a perfect place to vibe with your friends and loved ones. You'll fall in love with the setup, in fact it is a place where one can go alone and relax with a cup of coffee. There is a small book shelf in the corner which helps us recall a hundred of reading memories. The board games will just add to the fun. We ordered sandwiches, masala fries and the little miss muffin for dessert, the muffin had a beautiful aroma, overall the food was pretty good. Drop in to spend some quality time with your loved ones. My sunday evening turned out to be a good one, Thankyou Coffee Central :) 3.5 coz this is more of a place to talk and enjoy your evening rather than great food

After reading good reviews about the place I decided to have evening snacks with my family in this place. There is no vehicle parking alloted for this restraunt so you have to park it bit far and walk to reach this place. The interiors are well done and the place looks clean.we were sitting for almost 10 minutes and thought it would be self service. But when i went to the counter the waiter told he will come and give the menu. But he was doing some other work and kept us waiting. After few minutes he came and gave the menu card.Ordered for grill chicke n sandwitch, chicken tikka sandwitch and Chai. The sandwitch had four pieces and was enough for two.All the items was just average and tasted just like a simple home made ones.

When you have to look out for a perfect place to sit and talk before sending your friend off, what more can be perfect than a cool place like coffee central.
The only bad thing - Parking
Had to park in the next street and walk.
In the busy streets of GN Chetty Road, this is a happy, cool and lively cafe.
Besides the games that are indigenous to the cafe house, they have books for competitive exams too.
The place has good lighting which takes the credit for some great pictures.
V had ,
Masala Fries- I really liked the masala. Wasn't gluey and had the right spice.
Pasta - Served hot and enjoyed the stratum of cream cheese.V had to pack the rest , which later when got cooled a bit became okayish. But a Real good one .
Panneer sandwich- Panneer is a demigod to my foodie frnd and v couldn't skip this. I personally felt the stuffing could have been better.def not a bad one though
Cheesecake Here comes our star. Straight from heaven to ur taste buds. Couldnt get over it.Totally on love. Perfect.
On the whole

Well when you walk into a restaurant set up with love and personal touch, you just know it. You love it for the soul a place has. This is one of those cafes where you would like to sit down and chill with friends.
I met the main chef Ananda whose very proxy of what he does, offers you advice in choosing what you should eat or may like. I just loved my quiet evening with my sandwich and coffee whirl. Good job guys but you need to do some musical gigs, innovate menu to bring life to this place.
A Kutty shop that's located on the busiest streets of Tnagar. The ambience is cozy and compact... Pretty good lighting that gives you a perfect glow for pictures 😜 and wow they have indoor games like Scrabble, monopoly, etc so you will have a good pass time. A group of friends visited this place on a saturday afternoon for a quick catch up. We got their latte, hazelnut coffee and iced cappuccino, all of it were amazing in the looks as well as taste. And we ordered for white sauce pasta and chicken and mushroom sandwiches. The pasta tasted blunt(not bad though), wouldn't prefer it next time, did not taste like white sauce at all, so it's a okok dish but the chicken sandwich was perfect with the masala stuff inside and not so roasted yet crispy bread topped it. Didnot taste the mushroom sandwich so no comments on that.
My rating for VFM would be a straight 4.
Quaint little coffee shop in the busy hum drum of tnagar. There is nothing not to like about this cozy little coffee space. The drinks are good but the food is strictly average. I would still visit this place to hangout with a bunch of friends and chat over coffee :)
Perfect Café
This amazing café, located just opposite to AGS Cinemas, must be the best café in terms of looks and ambience. This absolutely wonderful Western café themed place with books and games is bound to leave you awe-struck. The location is too perfect to give you the perfect urban café experience. Scores top points in ambience and service, too.
Started the meal with the veg sandwich combo. The mozzarella sandwich was simply amazing. Something in it just attracts you towards it. Brilliant.
Then came a round of coffees and bakes.
Mocha- Very good. Very nice beverage which will help you through an awesome date.
Sacred Sin- You wouldn't want to miss this dessert. Simply amazing. Every bite was a trip to heaven and back to earth. No wonder this café is a revered one.
Apple muffin- Good but not great.
Bill came to Rs.688. Good VFM for a happy time spent at this wonderful place.
Looking to hang out very happily? Head straight to this place.!
Been here twice , and would love to keep going here, absolutely love the ambience, the music selection is brilliant , the board games and books just make the visits all the more fun. Finally, the coffee just makes me happy, being addicted to it I feel like I'd keep going there just for the cafe mocha. So yes, overall a really good chill spot
Exceptional ambience with books and tv. Great iced tea, sundae and frappes. Landmark in T Nagar, Chennai. One of the best hangout place in Chennai.
I have never ever had coffee or tea (cold coffee and ice tea are exceptional )
This place totally impressed me !! Ambiance is too good 😁😁😁
Shopping down in t nagar and my cousin got a headache and she demanded coffee and took me to this place :)
Trying out coffee ...it was hazelnut..it was awesome 😍😍
I liked the dessers as well. You can just sit here..have coffee/sandwich/desserts and have some good time 😁
So no one told you life was gonna be this way
Your job's a joke, you're broke, your love life's D.O.A...Sounds similar? It totally does!
Every time I pass through this place I start humming this song,it always reminds me of ” CENTRAL PERK ” from F.R.I.E.N.D.S TV show.😀. Today finally got the chance to experience and Its ambiance actually feels like central perk!. Very friendly place, let it be their ambiance or food. It’s so perfect.
Classic ambience.I find this place cosy to catch up with friends to chat and munch yummy sandwiches ! The sandwich filling was very yummy ,luckily not filled with too much mayo and cream to add on taste.Though the place is very small nothing lesser than the fancy coffee shops around !
Best service. Value for money. Cosy and warm place to hangout with friends. They have monopoly, cards and other board games that you can use. Yummy sandwiches, desserts , and shakes are worth trying for.

With a nice and cozy ambience, this place is a pretty good hangout place. The coffee house, filled with amazing music, framed photos and board ganes is definitely a goto place to relax and have a good time. We ordered the hot chocolate and lemon iced tea, which costed us Rs.212 in total. The hot chocolate was nice and smooth and the iced tea was a traditional lemon ices tea. Overall, it's a great place to go and hang out with friends and family.

We were three friends meeting after a long time, and all we wanted was a quiet place to sit and talk for long hours and quick service. We did not have the slightest clue that Coffee Central in T.Nagar, Chennai would be the ideal place. This place is very easy to spot as it is on the main road and very close by to the Singapore Consulate, but the parking is a major issue.
The positives are good munchies and a beautiful ambience. The negatives are the location which is crowded outside and a lack of great desserts!
Having said that, it's a great place for a cozy conversation.
Amazing place to hangout with friends over coffee and desserts . Unique decor with courteous staff makes this place idyllic . We enjoyed many desserts as we were a big group of friends and found every item on the menu mouthwatering . Definitely on our repeat list .
An amazing place for hangout with friends/girl friend(s) :P The ambience is comforting and the deserts are heart melting, especially the OREO CHEESE CAKE.
As the name suggests, this place is best for a cup of coffee or some snacks. They have a neat ambience and can have upto 15 people at once.
They have a variety of munchies which taste a little different and nice here. The only drawback is that its hard to get anything spicy here. Their hot chocolate and the oreo shake are my favourite.
There are a few board games and books also available. Overall, a nice place to hangout with friends and spend time.
Visited this café one fine evening, after hearing a lot about this place. To begin with, it's located extremely close to the AGS Theatre in TNagar and has ample space for parking vehicles.
The cafe is a small cozy one with dimly lit interiors that display a wooden finish. Absolutely loved their choice of music playlist throughout my 1 hour at the café.
We ordered a roasted chicken sandwich w/o cheese along with lemon iced tea. Absolutely loved the sandwich. It had a home-made touch to it and was simply delicious. The lemon iced tea was a flop though. Regretted ordering that instead of trying something else from their diverse menu of coffees, shakes and beverages.
For desserts, I had wanted to try their Chocolate Explosion which looked too appealing on their menu card. But unfortunately they didn't have any more stock left of the Chocolate Truffle cake which is a mandatory ingredient of the Chocolate Explosion and hence was asked to choose something else. After contemplating for a while, I settled on the Little miss muffin. This consisted of 4 slices of a super soft and spongy muffin, served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream that was drizzled with chocolate sauce, and some whipped cream. I totally loved this dessert and the soft muffins were like paradise.
After all this, our bill amounted to about Rs.400/- including tax. Quite an economical cafe with good stuff and a cosy ambience.
A small cozy cafe on one of the happening places in the city...was in love with the interior from when I entered... Chose this place for some chit chat with frnds and wasn't disappointed at all... Must visit if u are looking to spend some time with ur frnds over a cup of coffee! :)
A cozy little place right next to ags 😊 There is ample space for parking 👍🚕🚲
My sister and I went here to just grab a bite 🍟
So we ordered :
🍒 Brownie tornado : This was totally because Mr. Fudgy wanted me to try it 🙈 and I did ! It was amazing ! Chocolate + brownie + whipped cream = WOW 😍🍫🍰🍪🍫🍫
🍒Strawberry milkshake : This one was really fresh and awesome 🍓🍓🍓❤️
🍒Chicken tikka sandwich : This was more like a aloo sandwich, there was very minimal stuffing in it and it wasn't up to the mark 💁
This place is a totally cool hangout place and the price is not much! They also have board games to play and books to read while you wait for your order, which is a really cool idea 💕 The service is friendly too 👍😊

The perfect place to hang out with your friends! The staff is warm and welcoming, and the ambience is great. The menu might seem limited at first glance, but the items are amazing. Litchi milkshake is a must have. And the idea of board games, brilliant. Great place and definitely would recommend.
Good place to hang out for a coffee. Decent priced. Nice ambience. The place is pretty small but it's cozy enough. Spent a good time having a conversation with a close friend !
Coffee Central, intentionally or unintentionally, has an uncanny, nostalgic similarity to Central Perk, even though the latter can never truly be re-created, barring its possibility if the show were to add more seasons. Yet, Coffee Central has that Parisian window and door, a mini library tucked away in the corner, comfy yet cosy seating arrangements and a non-exhaustive supply of card games, et al.
If you were charmed by the warm, mellow yellow and the pastel lampshades, you soon realise you're there for the food and the spread is just perfect for a cafe set-up like this one- not leaving you confused with a plethora of lovely things to choose from but giving you just the best few. I got myself the Multi-layered mocha, warm coffee at the bottom, a scoop of vanilla forming the second tier and crew and chocolate on top because chocolate FTW! This is one of the only things I'd never give up for the standard, classic chocolate milkshake. Then, there was the chocolate sundae- with vanilla ice-cream generously topped with thick chocolate sauce. Doesn't need much validation, for it's the tried, tested and proven best. My friend and I got ourselves some munchies- masala french fries with grated cheese on top. I must say this was a slight let down after Double Roti's Masala Fries but I must not complain because each place has its USPs. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find popcorn on the menu and got ourselves a bucket of buttered popcorn. Not only is it the quintessential conversation partner, but also is the most appealing to the olfactory- for that initial whiff of butter keeps you hooked, takes you away from the conversation and forces you to acknowledge popcorn's greatness for a minute. We shunned the pies and tarts and shipped them for a Coke Float- my first time trying it so I definitely loved it- well at least there's one more item ticked off the must-try list.
Coffee Central is the kind of place where you can immerse yourself in a book and sip on some cold coffee or a chocolate shake and be transported into a new world. It's the kind of place you'd want to go to when you want the food to enhance and not entirely remove one from conversation. Also, when you're left with 500 bucks in your wallet and you think you can't step into a place for some light bites because who gives you that contentment for 500 bucks- do not be dejected because my friend and I had those 5 items and paid 700 bucks for the whole package. Value For Money- 100%. Also, brownie points to the person [who I believe is the one who runs the place] for making us that delicious food herself. Open kitchen and all so no worries about too much sugar or "what the hell is that made of?".

Every time I pass thru this place,it always reminds me of " CENTRAL PERK " from FRIENDS show.😀
Today finally got the chance to experience and Its ambiance actually feels like central perk!
Very friendly place, let it be their ambiance or food. It's so perfect.
They have lots of books and board games that gives us the homely feel.
A good and calm meeting spot with friends ... And even good place to spend some time alone reading a book.
They even have a TV and this place is crowded when some cricket match is telecasted.
Coming to the food, I ordered sinful truffle and brownie tornado which was too good.
I personally loved the brownie tornado which was a shake with bits of brownies in it topped with some whipped cream and brownies again.
Also tried their masala fries with melted cheese on top.It wasn't as good as expected. Anyways not a big fan of fries.
On the whole a very good experience. And this place is gonna be bookmarked as my fav for sure.
This is my favourite place to hang around with friends..the place will b cozy n comfortable that u'll feel like a home..thier ambience is gud..but parking prob is a minus..two wheelers are ok but four-wheeler no no!!

I love thier fries n cake.
Best place to hang with friends
I cant say a little about this place. We have a countless number of memories over here. The service is good and people who are working there are really understanding & friendly. It feels like home and can have a nice time with friends. Off late the prices have gone up compared to the quality of food which makes us to think twice to get here.
This is our hangout place, for quite a long time. A small cafe, with a Friends series, Central Perk like setting. Their hot chocolate is very tasty, and fries are good too. Best place to hangout if you have a gang of 3-4 friends, spending time over a board of Monopoly!
The best part is the staff don't bother you asking for orders and the food is made ready in 5-10 mins. Highly recommended!
I love how friendly the staff are over here. It's their biggest plus. We only had an international card in hand and though they weren't sure if they would accept it, he somehow made sure we wouldn't leave the place because we didn't have cash. We could swipe our card and order to our heart's content. We also hurried them for our orders and on all honesty, it took them less than 10 mins to get it done! I love how the place looks, how the menu card ID designed and everything else. I just hope it's a little less noisy as most times there are groups of high school kids making noise and laughing about!

They managed very well in arranging the place to look bigger.... shld appreciate the efforts of them for giving it a refreshing , kool , and comfortable feel....
The main attraction is the availability of indoor games and books ..... their effort to make it a friendzone is a big success....

Cute cafe, friendly staff, loved this small place. Had a good collection of books, board games offered a good variety menu. I just had the classic chocolate milkshake with vanilla icecream and just cudnt wait to click a picture. Gulped it down. Parking is a hassle, but for that, Loved it.
Cozy ambiance with neat service. This is a perfect place for a leisurely meeting. Parking can be a problem so make sure you find a slot on one of the side streets. The coffee shop has board games that you can pick.
We tried the little miss muffin cake and cream and an americano. Both were exquisite. If you have enough time to kill and a few bucks to spend, this is the place to be!!! Worth a revisit!!
From high school time this place has been a second home to me.. Perfect place to spend time with ur friends.. Reliving childhood by playing uno, pictionary, monopoly with really delicious popcorns and coffee.. Sucha cute little cafe but hard to find parking.. Situated in the heart of the city..
One of the more decent coffee places in T. Nagar, Coffee Central is quite easy to locate (although I used Google Maps) being on the main road with slightly less adequate parking space. The place was very quiet and the ambience was quite cozy and soothing (something my girlfriend loved! ) although it took frantic beckoning to get the attention of the only staff present at the time.
The menu was quite limited and being in the mood for something light really made my day. The Cappuccino was quite balanced yet nothing extraordinary about it. Same goes for the Hazelnut frappe as it was inferior compared to other ones I've had. I was however , blown away by the apple pie which was quite sizable and delicious!
I think it's a must have!!
A very normal dessert experience which was topped off by waiting for 10 minutes for the check, considering we were the only ones there! However, the waiter was courteous except that it took something close to a fracas to get his attention.
Upside - Cozy, easily locatable, great playlist and decent food for the price.
Downside - No WiFi (a feature in many coffee shops today), uncomfortable seating and the slow service.
