Excellent taste, elaneerpaiyasam class. Home made shop, Everyone enjoy the taste.
This place is down to earth the owner is a hard working man and provides excellent snacks made fresh everyday and it's tasty and the quantity is too good a must try for all 5stars
This is one of my favourite place here after. Very hygienic ingredients in an authentic taste of foods available here.
It is a home turned into small snacks shop. 10 people can stand and have their snacks.
We ordered
Pal paniyaram - paniyaram is so soft and it is just melted when I tasted it. Perfectly perfect one. All paniyaram are soaking into the coconut milk. Very yum. The sweet taste at its average level. Must try.
Kara kuzhi paniyaram - ghee is coated gives you great aroma. And sambar the ultimate one.
Elai kozhukattai - kozhukattai is wrapped in a plaintain leaves. It is stuffed with the coconut jaggery. It is also a must try item.
Vazhakai baji - it won't be an ordinary Baji with full of oil. Actually you can't find oil at all. Good with chutney.
Javvarisi vada - crispy vada made up of sabudana. It is served with sugar curd. Again must try. Rs.12 / each
Adai aviyal - very soft adai with aviyal. I love it. Rs. 50
Elaneer payasam - my fav part is here. Final touch of all. Chill payasam with tender coconut never disappoint us. You can actually feel the happiness after completing it. They have added tender coconut pieces in good amount. Rs.65
Food: 5/5
Ambience: 4/5 (small place but the ambience is neat and good)
Service: 5/5 they served quickly.
Items did not ooze oil like some other food outlets. Tasty and homely. Very quick preparation and delivery. Love to place orders on this shop👍😃
Had been here last evening. A small place but very courteous service. Tasted like home made food. We had Veg Bondo which was excellent, Vazhakka and Molaga Bajji .
The Kuli Paniyaram was also top notch.
Good filter coffee and heard from my friends that, Elaneer Payasam was also very good.
Pocket friendly place.
Very tasty & yummy recipes, all recipes are unique taste...now i feel mouth watering while im writing about mak n bajji shop.. dont miss it......
Since I am living just behind this shop, and since the owner was a long time friend,. I have visited and tasted almost all the foods there. Initially, it was quite famous for their evening coffee. Then of course people started taking their bondas and bajjis and became quite famous.
Even though it is quite small even after renovating and adding another room, it has got a pleasant colour, and good lighting.
The small children will love their, chat items.
The biggest pro is the hygienic factor, and it is one of the cleanest place in Triplicane.
The biggest con is the prices, which is increasing as our fuel prices. The fact is the prices have increased by more than 50 percent since opening of the shop.

Here all bajjis have a unique taste which will not make you feel enough by tasting one.. the namkeens snack items will be available throughout the day and everything will be a fast moving one.. finally the pickle they prepare by themselves and packed will be awesome choice for curd rice lovers...
A monument to South Indian cuisine, flavourful in its variety of bajjis, snacks and filter coffee. I appreciated that the Dahi Puri and Pani Puri Chats were spicy, instead of sweet sour, and that is characteristic in Chennai. Best Buy hunters must head over here!
This shop is right behind my street and I used to glare at this everytime. The specialty of the shop is everything is homemade and looks very hygienic even though the place is small. You have to stand and eat here. I have tried elaneer payasam, Sambhar vadai, onion bajji, Kara kuzhi Paniyaram and sabudana vadai.
Elaneer payasam was served in a clay glass which enhances the taste. Sambhar vadai was very hot and yummy..and will definitely be a filling snack.
They even selling muruku, thattai and other snack items for functions as a bulk. Overall budget friendly and good quality food.
Taste: 4
Quality and quantity :4
No big ambiance and parking
Service:3.5
I have been there for snacks items before now they introduced annams like variety rice I'm very big fan for sambar rice and curd rice... And especially for carrier meals 100rs only it has sambar, rasam, kozhambu, poriyal, koottu appalam, pickle, sweet, curd, rice. Completely enough for one person and taste is awesome homely food.. home delivery is available... On time delivery is much appreciated... Every day different menu... Sunday meal maker fry is my favorite.. for carrier meals have to inform them prior... Sweets are very fresh and tasty they are taking orders tooo I love their laddus, mysorepak, Coco burfi
The shop is situated in a narrow street. Their menu list is pretty good. I did tried all most everything in the menu. I love their unique "elaneer payasam". Ambience -3.5/5. Taste - 4/5. Value for money 3/5.
Best evening snack place ❤️❤️ door step from my home😍😍 good customer service 😄😄 great varieties 👍👍😋nice foodie place😄 Our family fav item is tender coconut payasam😍😍 delicious to the core😋😍😍
This place is a bit interior in triplicane.. but worth visiting all way long.. the ambience was simple n good.. the service was heartwarming, every one is treated as a special customer.. there r some signature foods as well.. javvarusi vadai is a must try.. a good try for evening chats..
I visit this place almost twice a month, my favorites here are Elaneer payasam and Ellai Kozhukatai , just can't get over them .Though i am not a great fan of deserts i think these two are worth drooling over, despite of the fact wether you are a desert lover or not. Other that that this place is also known for its variety in south indian snacks like bajjis and bondas, perfect for a south indian appetite.
When I went here for the first time I Ordered for Bhel Puri. Which was below average. Was very dry (no sauce mix) customer service was good as the owner could understand that it didn't taste good so asked me for what is wrong n he asked the server to take it add some sauce. But now it became too much of sauce.
The next time I visited. Tried Vazhakai bajji which was good. Panner bonda which was V.good. veg bonda was nice.
Would try again.

Yummmmmm food. It is a hard standard to
Match when most of the items on the menu are dishes you grew up on; but these guys have done a great job. Loved the potato bajji, ela neer paysam and yela kozhukattai. They managed to do a good job even with the novel "chat items" of dahi and bhel puri. Two things they have to work on: 1) more seating space (may be this is a direct consequence of being a small, simple and charming space :)) and 2) time to service some items. (Eg dahi vadai)
This is a new place opened in triplicane. The place is tiny and a remodeled house. They are also a franchise for Grand sweets snacks. We tried the elaneer payasam. It was delicious definitely but it was near frozen and difficult to have for the first few sips. Need to try the various other items next time.
The shop is very small and no parking for 4 wheelers... But food.. Awesome.. Hot and crispy variety bajjis and vadas.. Sweet and Kara kolukaatai... And veg bonda is very nice. chutney's taste needs to be improve. Reasonable prices.. Good and fast service. Parcel also available.
Place is small and ambience is not great. But u get here super tasty bhajjis - hot and crispy.
A reasonably priced shop and u will enjoy eating the street food here
Very tasteful home made natural badam milk. Ultimate taste of bajji and Vadas. Quick delivery with two chutney. Will defintely recommend this place for a quick evening snack. !!!
Price is very cheap but there is no compromise in quality
Ratings Based only on taste....
Learned about this place through chennai food walks and was looking forward for a chance to visit the place since then...but around may last year and similar outlet was listed in nanganallur area and me thinking its the same I visited that outlet only to realize its there with a different name...so after a year I made it to this place...was taken here by my cousin so I have no exact idea abt the locality and directions...
Run in a home by a couple..so the service is definitely homely..its also quick and prompt..they were continuoisly attending customers and were serving hot bhajjis and vadas of the kitchen..
I ordered bajji, masala vada, keera vadai and bonda..all the items were simply superb...really tasty and tummy and also learned from the owner that they use good oil and change regularly and so those who worry abt the health factor can definitely chill and have a taste of those yummy items...
Priced at 10rs each the items are completely worth the price ..good quality, quantity, taste...service also is really great...recommended
Visited this place with a friend on a late evening (closing hours) and was amazed that they served piping hot onion and bread bajjis with chutney. The bajjis priced @ 10 a piece were great but it was the filter coffee that was exquisite and heavenly. It was so yummy that I felt like I had seen heaven. It was actually the milk that made the coffee delicious....
Ambience 2/5 (Nothing special and don't walk in there with high expectations)
VFM - 5/5 (Where-else you can get such good and hygienic food @ such prices)
Be sure to try the filter coffee and bread bajji.
Also you get all these pre-packaged items of Grand Sweets like thokkus, podis etc...
And you get paneer butter masala, palak paneer and other gravies @ 50 rs. (Will try the next time I'm there)
Quick service.. Decent place to have your evening bajji n a perfect filter coffee.. Very near to marina.. Just a walk in the evening from beach to this place or vice versa is a bliss.. Lots of ppl u can see in just few mins there.. The main thing is no one is made to wait here
Quick bite. The establishment is in a residential area, 10 minute walk from parthasarathy temple. Small place, but still they have good bajjis and nice coffee. Take a 2 wheeler or walk.
Everyone knows we South Indians love our filter kaapis, dosas and vadas.. But we love our bajjis equally. Nothing like a plate of hot freshly fried valakka and molagga bajji.. Just the thought of bajji is enough to make our mouths water. Though I'm not 100% south Indian, I have lived here for almost a decade now and I love my bajjis.. Bajjis sold at beaches used to be nice but now they are just oily disasters.
So last week when I was at a cousin's place for a cuppa coffee, he ran out and picked up assorted bajjis from this place which he said was awesome. After a few bites I completely agreed with him. It's times like these that i really love my family for remembering my favorites.. ??
There plantain, chilli and potato bajjis stole the show, onion bajjis were quiet OK.
This review is based on a take away. Never been to the place so no comments about the ambience or service. And no idea how much they cost either. I'm just glad I now know where to head if I'm craving my favorite evening snack..
A must try..
Very nice Bajji's and North Indian snack chat items you get here.. It's in Nalla Thambi Street, Triplicane.. Near Gosh hospital and Partha Sarathy Temple.

I chose this joint for the Triplicane Food Walk that was held during the Madras Week this year.
An extremely good experience. This was started by a couple in their own home. So this is a offbeat place and not near a shopping area.Almost all items are quick eats but all of them are made fresh and are served hot. Quite inexpensive too.
There is no parking on the street where this place is but you can park in the bigger streets closer to the Parthasarathy temple. It is just a 5-7 minute walk from the temple.
Best Place to have Varieties of Bajji's, Bonda's and vadai's in Triplicane.
They have varieties of Tasty chat items prepared in Clean and Hygienic Way.
Elaneer Payasam is a definite try.
I Regularly visit the place for Varieties of Snacks and sweets like Ghee Muruk, Tattai, groundnut barfi, Adhirasam, Rava Ladoo and many more mouth watering Items.
Readymix items available here.
Clean and Hygenic place to dinein.
Friendly Owner and Staffs.
Absolutely wonderful food. genuinely some of the vegetarian best snack food you can get in the city. friendly staff and relatively fast service makes it even better. As a lot of people mentioned its not the biggest in terms of size and the street gets very cramped, so parking can be a problem in evening hours. But otherwise zero complaints. And their elaneer payasam is a MUST HAVE!
I visited this place on recommendation and its worth.
The snacks the you get here is authentic..You get a feel like you are somewhere in a circle surrounded by brahmins.
It's a very small outlet where they have 3 side wall mounted table. It can accompany maximum of 10 persons.
Taste- I would give 4/5
I had different types of Bajjis, Masala bread bajji was the best out of all.
Vaazha ilai kolukattai is just perfect as I expect, less outer layer Maavu(I don't know how you call in English), and correct level of stuff inside. Not too sweet.
Coffee was okay as triplicane is famous for filter coffees.so no wonder.
Pricing- Every bajji starts with 12Rs.which seems to be a bit high for each dish.
Masala bread bajji costs 25Rs which us worth for the food we get.
So 3/5
Parking is bugh headache here.We hardly get 2 wheeler parking as the outlet is always crowded. If you are traveling by car ,then be ready to walk a mile or don't visit.Bcoz the outlet is located in a congested street.
A best spot to taste the real taste of bajji. My favourites in Mak N Bajji shop are crispy bujji, ilaneer payasam and coconut burfi.
Mak N bajji shop...!! The best shop to have a different traditional ways of snacks here...!! They have elaneer payasam which is famous in this shop...!! Different types of snacks like javuarusi vadai, elai kolukattai, kuzhi paniyaram, adai... They also have other snacks like samosa, bajji and different types of chips items also...!!price also reasonable but some snacks like bajji are not that much taste...!!
Unique taste and best quality. They serve everything hot and fresh. Very small place and there is no enough seating arrangement. Cost is little expensive but they do not compromise on taste. A must visit place for snacks in triplicane.
Mak n bhajjis is new addition in triplicane its a small snack joint offering traditional snack items like paniyaram milk and normal sweet kollukattai vadas, bhajjis, vegetable bondas and authentic spl elleneer payasam, don't miss this place on the way to Parthasarathy Temple.
Very tasty food. Good place to eat South Indian snacks. They have some special items also. Very good menu and whatever we tasted was good. Location in a very narrow street in Triplicane. Car parking not available. 7 to 10 two wheelers can be parked. Stand and eat concept. Self service. Since it is located in an old building it will be a cramped space if you go in large group. But all the limitations are overcome by the delicious tasty food they offer.!!!
A tiny shop in triplicane that is doing great business and attracting plenty of local triplicane crowd. I loved the food options available at Mak N Bajji shop and they are frankly both delicious and some not found around elsewhere in triplicane. The restaurant cleanliness is much better than general average found in Chennai. The location is a bit inside and you won't find enough place for a car but bikes will be fine. Try their fried food, elaneer payasam and plenty of other unique options. The price is ridiculously low but also important in triplicane due to the general low prices around. It is also standing and eating which is ok for fifteen minute visit. Will return soon for more delicious food.
Value for money, clean and hygienic, most important the taste like mom's taste.
Real value for money. Nostalgic dishes. Good quality and quantity
Good menu.. Ilaneer payasam was satisfying. It costs 65rs.
Very nice, good taste, fast service
A really nice place to stop for a quickie, everyday if you want to. Everything they have is really good in terms of quality. You'll be required to serve yourselves but it's no big deal, really.
Home made snacks paradise. Visited several times and tried out almost every items. Yummy and worth the cost. Those who comment about cost, quality comes with cost. Other road side shops may provide cost effective food items compromising on quality.
A good shop for murukkus & thattai snacks & vathal. It's their own home products.would love to try their snacks prepared in the evening as mentioned by the owner. Hope to try them soon . Cheers from Singapore .
Very tasty and hygienic. Best choice for veg lovers. All dishes are home made.
