Only good vegitarian restaurant in perungudi. love their coffee. me and my friends have been a regular here. clean place, there have self service downstars and service upstairs.
ths restaurant has improved very much over time. I have been going to this restaurant for the last couple of years. They have been testing out with new cooks and I tink they have finally got their style. very friendly staffs and good food.
Gobi 65 and coffee were awesome.. very good service and friendly staff..the service was very quick..worth the visit..will surely come again..
Been here so many times over the last couple of years. It's a very pocket friendly value for money restaurant. It's the only vegetarian restaurant in this area. The food is quite tasty and the place is hygienic. This is the only place that we go for breakfast and evening coffee and snack! Highly recommended...
Had meals here and the quality of the food is also good when compared to the other restaurants nearby. So people who wanted to have a proper south indian meal can visit this restaurant for lunch.
A decent food experience in this part of the city.Certainly, nothing fancy to write about the restaurant. The Special South Indian thali is a good offering. The Chole Bhature is pretty average.
A average restaurant for both North Indian and South Indian cuisine. This restaurant is near a small IT park so it is like a savior for those people. For pure north Indian food, other nice restaurants are also nearby. People prefer less oily food can go to this place. AC is not there so it can be a problem in Chennai hot weather.
Lunch at Geeraas was on the cards as it was just across RMZ and as I had to be there, for training, the entire day, walked across and the wife joined from the Hotel, in the vicinity.
They have two sections, the self service on the ground floor and AC on the first. Muggy day AC most welcome.
Asked for Special South Indian thali and one normal one. The difference: Special had extras- Tomato paneer, quite surprised, it was not sweet but nice. One small katori of cucumber raita and sambar rice (quantity- a small teaspoon!). One well made tandoori roti.
Barring the above the thalies were ditto.
Talking about what we appreciated the sambar, rasam, the minuscule dal, veg dish to top it the rice was steaming hot. Having sweet teeth and not tooth loved their suji halva sweetened with jaggery.
Neat and well done interiors with the AC working brilliantly. Good service and greater pricing.
Overall a place one needs to visit once!
If you want to have a quick and decent meal in MGR salai, then its the best choice. They have options like AC dining and self service area.
I have tried the self service area. They have open kitchen concept too. Ordered poori, idly and dosai.
3 Poori' accompined with Dal and potato masala, but the size of the poori was too small. Dal tasted good and gone well with poori.
Idly was soft and tasted well with Coconut chutney and sambar. Nothing was special about the dosai.
Overall good and tasty food in overpriced cost.

chutney and kuruma taste was not good
Baby corn in starters is good. Good service and Ghee dosa taste is awesome. The ice cream quality is not that much satisfied and they need to improve it.
Nothing interesting or out of the world. If you want a quick south Indian meal and want to eat in a clean place, look no further than this place. This is one the places which serves food early in the morning. So if you are trying to catch an early train or bus and want to grab a bite you won't be disappointed.
Located opp to my work place...jusss love the hot idlys.. friend baby corn is worth a try!!
Cheeezzzzzz!!
Value for money place with decent food... Nothing out of the world but decent service at slow pace with avg taste food
One of the cleanest place in surrounding so can be tried

Went with office colleagues to lunch, hotel is located in MGR Road just opposite to SP Infocity, the hotel ambience and look was nice as they have kept croton plants in the pots which gives a cool and pleasant appearance. Ground floor was Non A/c and A/C in the first floor. We ordered two Special Lunch with costs Rs.120/- , Noodles and an Gobi 65. The Lunch was good and it had White Chenna, Chappati, Subji, Thuvayal, Rice, Sambar, Kara kuzambu, Rasam, Poriyal, Aviyal, Curd, Appalam and Pickle. The Noodles also tasted good , salt was less in the Gopi 65 and coming to the service part they have very limited bearer and it took almost 30 minutes to serve this simple Order.

" it seems expensive but it is not " . i went to this place twice .. same day both for lunch and evening snacks. for lunch we ordered paneer butter masala , roti qnd onion raita , order came in no time and food was amazing, best roti in chennai. staff was very courteous as well. for snacks we ordered masala dosa , rava dosa , paper dosa , uttappam. best place to have a snack anytime. interior is spacious and well maintained . recommendations are .. a must visit place
A very spacious easy - to - locate joint serving the routine south Indian menu. Reasonable pricing and the quantity easily would suffice one!

Some early morning work in the locality left me hungry as i hadn had my breakfast before leaving home...so when i was passing this restaurant on the way towards OMR my stomach finally gave up and i head straight inside...Located in MGR road Opposite to Sp infocity and RMZ millenia park...with minimalistic parking....Around 10-15 bikes can be parked in the exclusive parking area...but the same cannot be said about cars...which can only be parked only in the nearby streets...
I tried the self service area...but before entering the place what really attracted me is the lush green exteriors...filled with plants...that too well maintained...gave a pleasant feel...the Non A/C self service area was almost open except for those plants on the side...to seat around 40 odd people...clean and well maintained...spacious too...with an open kitchen beside the collection counter...Was breezy too and fans too present to help the cause...
Ordered an onion rava and poori masala...poosi masala came with 3 small sized pooris which were hot but with a bit extra oil than i would want...tasted average...the masala though lacked spice...the onion rava was crisp and hot...But i personally felt the onions were on the lesser side....peppers though were on the higher side..kind of ruining the dosa...the coconut chutney was really good whereas the tomato one was too bad...hated it....sambar was yummy too...
Total came to 88rs...Total VFM...A good option for Veg food...have no idea about other options nearby so cant comment if its the best or not...but the lush green exteriors are where this restaurant stands apart...they have an A/C dining on the first floor....which i might try in future with my family....
The biggest strength of this restaurant is their location. Located at the prime location between all the IT companies it is easy for them to find the flock. Food quality was nice and tasty but they are very limited on the chutney and sambar. Crowd makes it real difficult to get a token and have self served. Price was bit on high end but lesser then sarvana bhavan.

Only place to have hygienic and pocket friendly veg food in good ambience for people who work in RMZ, SP info city in MGR salai !
They stand apart from all the crowded and messy Andhra messes in that area.
Good taste, but they can improve the variety of chutneys provided !
Despite dining here at 3pm, they served full meals with all items and the service was good which is tough to find in many restaurants these days. Meals was too good and all the items were warm, chappathi was freshly made and kesari was classic.
The exteriors of this hotel is unique and has good space which makes feel good. On the contrast, food is at affordable price for regular visits, especially most the gravies are less than ₹100 which is really convincing to make us visit again.
We planned to have our team lunch at superstar pizza , but unfortunately as this joint had some infrastructural issues of power cut the staff told us that we couldn't have their pizzas today . Dejected we decided to try Geeras a pure veg resto which is beside this place. They have 2 sections . The ground floor is non ac and the upper floor is air conditioned. Considering the heat of the afternoon we scrambled to the upper floor. The ambience was good for a functional hotel and the place was clean. Being opposite to RMZ millennia IT park, this place was full. But good a table cleared quickly after we got in and we were shown our seat in about 5 mins.
The menu was limited but was sufficient . It had various kinds of parathas. For starters we ordered the paneer 65 and the golden fried baby corn. We ordered almost all the parathas from the menu . For sides, we got the kadai paneer and the malai kofta. And for a rice item to taste for the 5 of us we got their special biriyani.
The starters were the highlights. The paneer so soft on the inside and the light batter crispy. It was so good. We felt the masala for the batter tasted like chicken masala, but as most of us were non veg we were ok, but it did startle the sole veggie in our group. The baby corn was prepared like a budgie , which was good also .
For the main course our feedback is mixed. The naan were hard and the parathas were soft. The parathas were different , we think it was made out of atta , the stuffed paratha was filled with a thin layer of veggies. The paneer paratha had little pieces of paneer attached to it. The chilli paratha was not so tasty , and had a lot of oil . There was no raitha with it, we thought the waiter must have forgotten it. But we were busy with the rest of the food . The mixed veg paratha was prepared in similar fashion as the chilli paratha and had a mixture of the cabbage, carrot and peas and it tasted better than the chilli paratha and not as oily. Our malai kofta never came and when we kept asking the waiters they said that its on its way . Eventually we finished all the parathas and our kofta still did not come . So we eventually canceled it. The special biriyani was so awesome. It was the right flavour , mixture of ample coarsely grounded cashews, mushrooms and tender fresh paneer. It was served with raitha. We relished that to its last spoonful on plate.
For 5 of us the bill came to about 650 inr which is total VFM. The service needs improvement . For instance all the food was brought together after 20 minutes . They should have served the starters first and then the main course. An item of the main course never found its way into our table. In case a particular dish may take time the waiters need to warn us about it when we order , so we can choose something else instead . The dessert options was also only icecream and juices. Overall a subtly nice experience in this place especially for their paneer and biriyani which was so good enough to overlook the negatives
The place looks good and spacious. Full meals had quite a number of variety in it. The food was good and worth for Rs.100. The AC was optimum for the hot summer. Hope they maintain the cleanliness as it is.
Place is clean, good option for the IT employees. Price seems a bit high for me, few compare this with HSB, but here you don't get the taste you get in HSB.

I usually see lot of new restaurants coming up in this place but most of them disappears in quick time. I just hope this one stays for a while and maintain their quality and pricing. Located very close to my office, I visited this place a while back for a breakfast and found it to be good. This is definitely a good option for vegetarians especially for someone who prefers South Indian.
Nice place for having meals. Since it is strategically located in the middle of IT corridor, it becomes an ideal spot for office goers. Have been to this restaurant regularly during lunch hours. Meals are value for money. Quality and ambience is good too. But service can be improved . Overall good for quick lunches during office hours.
Geeraas, It is located exactly oppossite to our office, pocket friendly and I use this as extension of our cafeteria. Comparing it to outlets of our cafeteria it is much better hygienic, taste and cheaper too even after their recent hike in prices. My favorites are Podi idly and Mushroom masala dosa surely you can give a try once.
I used to have my dinner (alone) regularly, recently when i have to work in day shift i thought of having my Friday lunch with friends, every one informed me not to visit as the service would be delayed. However, i convinced them all and we 7 members went there..took a table in first floor (AC). As we need to rush back we ordered of Meals, Sambar Rice, Curd Rice, Mushroom Masala dosa, Mushroom 65, we assumed that meals and rice would turn first. Surprisingly, dosa and starter came first. It took 15 mins to get sambar and curd rice. They took 20 mins to give meal plate and another 10 minutes with multiple follow-up and shouting to get steam rice for meals. For refilling too we have to ask multiple times to get steam rice. So i haven't repeated for steam rice. Finally I agreed my friends not to visit for lunch.
Note for Management:
I believe all the items for meals & variety rice should be made ready in advance. Why can't you keep a portion of all in warmer in first floor itself. As each every single item is getting dispatched from ground to first floor that takes lots of time, labour and loss of business too as we have decided not to visit for lunch.
In addition, air suction motor/fan need to be placed or improved in ground floor kitchen b'cos at times smoke gets in dinning area of ground floor. May need to hide the wash area in ground floor.
Got dinner parcelled today. Very pocket friendly. Taste is great, especially aloo mutter, vada curry, tomato chutney and Sambhar. Not much of oil in food and rightly spiced! Paneer manchurian needs a special mention for the taste, although the colour is super red.. Good packing and generous servings, but one complain will be that they didn't pack coconut chutney for us! Good stuff!
A disproportionately high score for whats on offer here. Which is mostly because in this area there is a shocking lack of anything even slightly resembling a decent place to eat. Until now.
Geeras is on MGR Salai, which houses what we estimate to be about 10 thousand employees. With this mass of humanity, the road itself has not one single place where a person can sit and have a reasonably hygienic meal (not counting the food courts in the various buildings of course).
This location bonus is the main plus. The main area is right now an open air space very reminiscent of the old vegetarian dining halls that were very popular years ago. The space is clean and we saw a lot of cleaning going on which is encouraging. The decor is functional but pleasant enough.
Self service, which we understand. The food after being ordered and paid for took 20 minutes to reach the table, which we don't understand at all.
The food itself is of passable quality. For this locality, its quite good, though it would likely fail to pass muster in a Mylapore, say.
Pricing is reasonable, we found most things priced 10 to 15 percent less than Saravana Bhavan, which is not very far away.
Overall Conclusion: This place will work because there is literally no other choice in the immediate locality. They really could work on service and food quality though.

Tried Lunch in this restaurant. Service is Good. Food is spicy for me and Taste is good in General...Not much Crowded . Ambience is Good in the AC dining space upstairs...... UPI Google Pay is accepted..
The quality of food was good.
I loved their mini tiffin which was so good 😋 , at less price.
(Small Masal dosa, idli, Vada , Pongal , filter coffee)
South Indian meals was also good.
Chinese items like Gobi Manchurian was not that good, better don't opt for those varieties.
Good place to have south Indian breakfast and lunch
Most people might be hesitant to visit thinking it's a posh restaurant. Adding Menu so you can plan accordingly 😋
Good vegetarian restaurant in this locality, not much famous. Food quality is pretty good. Reasonable price for the quality and quantity of the food.
The atmosphere is great. Quite crowded during lunch time not much at dinner. The menu is simple and the food served tastes great.
The service and hospitality deserves a round of applause as well. Overall a good place to enjoy and fill your tummy.
Good atmosphere with delitious food. best restaurant at affordable price. variety of food is available.must visit once to enjoy with loved ones.
I have visited this place for the first time today. Well maintained ambience and properly delivered service. Food also tasted good. I have ordered a mini tiffin and a poori set. Mini tiffin was too good and worth of paying for it. Poori masala was little hard and not upto the expected level. Coffee ☕ served with mini tiffin was also good. Costed ₹150 for this. I could suggest this place for a good breakfast
Food is good but the price is high as compared to that area road
This place is good for a decent Meal for lunch
Veg meals available with Chapathi, Rice, Sambar, Rasam, Curd, Appalam, Ghee, Podi, etc. for Rs 110.
