I've visited Wangs kitchen in the past and couldn't find the time to visit fresh loaf. I was on my way home from a friends house and decided to stop here to grab a bite. The restaurant is located on Medavakkam main road, adjacent to Wangs kitchen.
They provide some of the best cookies and pastries. The also serve a variety of bread, croissant and beagles. The ambiance was good and the seating was comfortable. I ordered a Cheese cake, it took around 5-10 mins for the order to reach my table. The cheese cake was too little but had a really good texture. I planned on ordering some pastries but decided to try it on my next visit.
This is a good place to hangout with friends and have small talks while tasting some pastries and bread, I rate The French loaf 4/5
If I have an option of rating 100 I'd probably prefer that because '5' is just very low.
French loaf is always my bestest sweet craving place. It might be their cakes, pastries,.. or even the beverages never disappointed me anytime I go.
Okay, I have been here and also been in many branches of them. I am a big fan of their 'Blueberry cheesecake'. It just melts in your mouth and it craves for more n more.
So, I ordered a cake for my mom n dad 25th wedding anniversary. They did it so brilliantly. It looked lovely, tasted perfectly since it's a butterscotch favour I ate more than anyone. :p
if it's cake, I don't really mind spending money. :D Come-on , it's a cheesecake.!

# Happy chocolate cake - One of the best chocolate cakes I have tasted, the base was really soft & moist. The cream had perfect chocolate ratio, not over powering but just enough to get us going for more than one serving.
The delivery is prompt too ( they charged us RS 100 extra) both times they delivered exactly at the time we asked for delivery.
Dropped down for a quick bite at this place for the first time and ordered a chocolate fantasy pastry and and a sausage roll,tasted amazing,the place is good and spacious they also ahave huge varieties of cake. may be will try some time. good job keep up the same.

A sudden craving for Hot Chocolate at almost 9.30 in the night made me chose this branch of french loaf which is very close to my home.
Visited here during many occasions for pastries and breads. Ambiance is good and similar to all of its branches. .
Hot Chocolate was served in a tall Irish coffee glass and looked more like Irish coffee. . Really strange to serve hot chocolate in such a way. . Drink was hot enough to qualify for Hot Chocolate but not chocolatey enough. . Not a wise choice for my hot chocolate craving. . But pastries at this place is decent enough for my 3.5 score. .
We ordered chocolate and butterscotch cake for my son birthday. Both the cakes are tasted good and fresh. One kg each I ordered. It's costly compared to other cake shops
The best one for bakery in this locality. A bit over-priced but worth it. Try the combos if you have a tight budget. Their blackforest and choco truffle are one of the best I've ever had. Folks are friendly and they have a wide variety of menu. They have an annual membership, if you have a heavy pocket and a cake lover, sign up for the membership!
Though pricy, taste is Aaaaaaaaawesome!! And good looking ambience too! Walnut brownie and muffins will make you fly 10 steps ahead. Chocolate cakes are the bext in this shop.
It is the only best place to go for delicious desserts at Madipakkam.

THE place to go if you want a Danish! Everything's cheap, just check the expiry before picking up one of those coke cans cause I got an expired one..

the pies are amazing and mouthwatering.
the bread types especially the garlic one is a personal fav though.
loved their burgers and esp the way it was packed.
some say its pricey but i say its worth it.
Been here only once, Apart from the fact tat it's a little overpriced, the taste of the cakes were pretty awesome.... Perfect desert place.. Stuff like crossaints and other breads are also an attraction here compared to its other competitors... Btw why do The French Loaf and Wangs Kitchen always open together next to each other...? Are they like a merged business or something..? Anyway it's worth checking out..
I was so flabbergasted when they handed me an album full of varieties of cakes matching different occasions. Also a few famous and most ordered cakes are readily available with them. As I was in short of time, I had to get Choco Truffle from the revolving refrigerator. Believe me, the taste was so yummy and was very unique from the other chocolate cakes we would have had. It was X Mas season. Needless to say there were so much of pastries, gift box cookies, muffins. I also got Blueberry Donut and cheesecakes. They were extraordinary too. The Irish Fantasy cake and the Chocolate Big Bow cake impressed me to the core. Rates were lil expensive, but worth it. The cakes just melts in your mouth and makes u forget the amount paid..

Not a dining place. But a very good place to snack. Their variety is very limited, however the quality of the items they serve is very good ranging from puffs to brownies. Their coffees are more like coffee day's. Courteous service.
My favorite items here are the Chocolate Brownie and Cafe Latte. The ambience is good. Although the seating capacity is less, you will always get a seat here. Given where its located (madipakkam's busy and dirty road) this place will be like a paradise once stepped in. The cake varieties they have is good as well. You can definitely swing by and try out their evening snacks.

I haven't dined there yet;most of the time it has just been hurried purchases of favourites. But having said that, I must also acknowledge that the overall ambience is superb. Especially the rotating cake display near the door. It takes a lot of self-control to look away !
Top buys are the blueberry cheescake, vegetable calzone, walnut brownies and the foccacia bread. The apple pies and the pastries are also good but I would recommend going for the cheesecake any day.
Slightly disappointing is the veg burger - it tastes a little too bland and dry.
Apart from this small negative, French Loaf scores very high in my book !
One French Loaf which I visit often and never been tired. Assistant Manager Sumaiya is one person who provide good hospitality whenever i go there. I am also happy that there is new joiner in her family. the Red velvet Cake is always into my choice list everyday I visit. My choice was coffee there before but the coffee mech is under maintenance for then two years which mostly put in bad phase always. Having a mug of coffee with hot buns from French loaf's is heavenly.

They bake excellent yummy birthday cakes! We can request cake designs outside the catalogue also.They stay true to the requested design as much as possible!
This is a good place to buy baguette, sandwich bread and sandwich. The cakes they offer are ok but not the best.
