This place offers authentic Chettinad cuisine. Had ordered the Chettinad Kozhi Varuval and Ceylon Parotta. Spice level in the dishes hit the roof!! The dishes are deliciously prepared !!!
What did I order?
Ordered Egg Dosai & Kari (Keema) Dosa.
We were served plantain leaf & Dosa arrived in a square plate. Got it transferred to plantain leaf and had it with supple amount of gravy that was given along with it.
Keema was cooked to perfection & the taste was mind blowing. Egg Dosa was tasty as well. Dosa batter was at perfect texture and it was a delightful experience altogether :)
We had best food, the grill chicken was fresh and tasty, the soup was rich and good quality and the main course was sumptuous. Overall I will want to go there with my family again. The service was kind and the ambience good too.

You wanna eat a scrumptious chettinad meal and Anjappar is the go-to place. It has authentic chettinad spread and the service is uncomplainable. Especially the chettinad chicken masala was mouth watering

Hot and sour chicken soup - the soup taste and spicy evrything was gd . Bt chicken was nt fresh felt like frozen chciken .
Bbq chicken -this was my favourite . It was spicy , lite sweet and tasty with juicy chicken . Enjoyed eating it .

Chicken chettinad masala -i liked the taste . It had more of onions and peppercorns . Simply loved it . It was thick masala and was cooked to perfect.

My first Anjappar experience was at their Trichy restaurant, and I was bowled over. The Anna nagar one is good but I like the trichy one better. We ordered a chettinad crab soup, fish fry, grilled prawns, chicken lollipop, chicken biryani. The fly rolled prawn was the best. Good service and good service staff
In my decent number of visits to this branch , I've found it to be having flavourful dishes. Although the quality is usually good, a few times it has so happened that I've found bones in boneless chicken dishes, and the butter naan Isn't very good. Overall a 3.5 Sims it up. Will update when I visit it again.
I would recommend to go to this place often. As far as we've gone it was good. Prompt service. Crowded during weekends. Ideal place for non veg lovers.

This restaurant is bit crowded in lunch time. We had to wait for 10-15 mins to get the table.So I would suggest you to go ahead.

To start with the restaurant .. firstly the interior and the infrastructure provided is good.. the protocol followed to attend a customer was excellent .. Briyani foods are awesome , the meat was well cooked and it gets the expected taste and each peice is so soft and clenched with briyani .. the masala added actually takes you to the chettinad arena and makes you experience the best briyani
+ Naatu kozli is available only in Anjappar in the whole of Anna nagar
+ Taste of Naatu koli is good

Went here on weekend night after a movie at around 11 PM and they were ready to serve us till 11:30 PM.. Even though it was late in the night, the staff were very polite and were happy and cheerful to serve us without any frustration that one could possible have towards the end of a very long day..
Had ordered the Mutton Bone Soup, Anjappar Fried Chicken (Half), Kuska, Egg Dosai and Chettinad Chicken Gravy.. All the items were fresh and hot in spite of the late night orders..!! From a taste perspective, the food was good and nothing exceptional to say about it..!!
Definitely one of the better Chettinad restaurants in the city and also a place that you can drop in whenever you feel like (without any plans)..
PS: Do visit the Panwala on your way out.. He has a good variety and some interesting Paan's to try..!!
