The best place if you are looking for a home made kind of Briyani. As their name suggests, it is truly a pleasure to have the Briyani as we find in a marriage dine in.
While most of us are always on the look for great Biryani Joints , and when you are about to declare that you have tried out all of them , a place suddenly crops out . I had been to Biryani places in this area and Mannadi and somehow seemed to have missed this spot .
The place is quite ordinary in terms of looks and is not air conditioned . There are multiple men to attend to you and the place is never short of service.
Ordered the Spl chicken biryani which comes with the chicken 65 like pieces in it . I was already hungry and the whole aroma of the Biryani only tempted me more . The Biryani was served with Raitha, Brinjal and Kesari on Banana leaf . It just got emptied in a few minutes , how I wished the quantity was more ! A must try Biryani joint in Parrys .

The Best and the Original Muslim Kalyana Biryani... They are the pioneers... Awesome experience always.... They had their outlet at Royapettah long before. Been their fan hence.
The best briyani in town is kalyana briyani. They serve briyani in a banana leaf with a kesari(sweet), brinjal curry, onion raita. Briyani will be hot and spicy. It's mouth craving 🤤🤤🤤. The shop will be too crowded in the lunch hours. Their chicken 65 is also correctly spiced with yums masala😋.The price charged for that briyani is also soo reasonable. One of the best briyani that all the briyani lovers have to taste.
Tried chicken 65 biriyani. One of the best biriyani I have ever had. It was really tasty and well mixed with spices. One portion was sufficient for two.

The menu is very short here and the order was a mutton biriyani,a chicken biriyani and a chicken 65. The food arrived immediately. The mutton biriyani tasted great ,the rice was packed full of flavour and good amount of masala but the mutton pieces weren't fall of the bone type that was the minus. The chicken 65 was really good and properly cooked. The chicken biriyani had no proper flavour and the chicken piece wasn't cooked either.
Quantity wise it's really filling.
So if you are here please opt for a mutton biriyani and a chicken 65 to have a happy meal. 😊
i always wanted to try their authentic muslim biriyani since ever and it happened when i came to know that my dad has been a regular here before even i came to knoe about this place...family foodies😂😂

and i tried their muttom biriyani....it was pipping hot with loads of mutton pieces....and it became my favourite serves with thalcha...raitha and bread halwa....one of the main reason of attending muslim wedding is for their yummy.biriyani and bread halwa sweeet...both are sorted here..

My most favourite biriyani in the world. Everytime i try they have never disappointed me. Hot mutton biryani with chicken 65 is best combo here.
Myself and my friend were desperate to eat biryani and decided to give this restaurant a try. The hotel has place for two wheeler parking outside their premises. The ambiance is not so great but the hotel has decent seating for about 80 people with few 4-seater tables and some combined into 12-seater tables. We tried their mutton biryani along with Chicken 65.
Mutton biryani was good and very much sufficient for one adult and it tasted good with the meat well cooked. You get about 3 pieces of mutton in every biryani serving. It was served along with sweet, onion raita and eggplant curry. Priced at 165 this seemed to be real value for money. However there was nothing so great to mention about the chicken 65.
People in North Madras knows loves this briyani very much. The review is only for Briyani since from my childhood I eating briyani here. One of the favorite Briyani shop for our family.
Had some work in Egmore and so decided to have lunch here and went there with friends. It's a simple hall type space and you have to buy token and then get the food. You have to share tables with stranger if you are less the 4 . We went around 2:45 and still it's 70℅ occupied .
Coming to the food, Menu is simple and u only have biriyani and chicken 65 . Ordered mutton and chicken biriyani and chicken 65 . Both briiyani's are good and bit oily. They serve it with sweet , raitha and brinjal . Brinjal tasted very good and went well with biriyani . Pieces are soft and tender. Chicken 65 is average one and nothing to mention special about it . Over all VFM if you are around that place and want to try good biriyani with friends...

A very well known place for biriyani in this part of the city 🌃. It's close to parry building, opposite to the high court. It's very crowded most of the time, especially lunch hours. So sitting here at your own leisure and eating is something that's impossible. 🙂 Also if you're the ambience over food person, takeaway is a better option ☺️
Also you'd have to get a token to get your meal. But the service is very quick and efficient . Anyway we decided to do a take away. 😬
The chicken biriyani costs ₹140. 💰 The quantity is enough for one and sufficient for two light eaters. 🙌The flavour of the biriyani is good and the meat is decent. It comes along with onion raitha, brinjal curry and Kesari. The whole combination is really nice ☺️
The fact that this place sticks to serving only biriyani and chicken 65 is something that's really nice especially when most of the other restaurants nowadays tries to offer anything and everything 🙄
The prices are really nominal and this place is not to be missed when around these parts of the city. ☺️

This is one of the hotels which was in my wish list for a long time but didn't try as I usually go to Mannady in evening times. When we got an off due on a public holiday, I decided to visit this place for lunch as I had some other works around the place. Finally arrived at the hotel around 1:30 with my friend Filhaal Nihal to have Briyani from this very famous hotel.
When we were parking the bike in their parking place (just outside their hotel), the Briyani and chicken fry smell conquered us. When we went inside we were asked to buy token for the food as like in many vegetarian meals hotels. So we bought tokens for a chicken briyani, Mutton briyani and chicken 65. We paid Rs 140 for chicken briyani, Rs 160 for mutton briyani and Rs 105 for chicken 65. The rates were normal as like most of the Briyani shops and also the ambience is not like in modern restaurants in order to accommodate more people.
We handed over the tokens to the server and they served Rava kesari, onion raitha and tamarind brinjal curry. We started with the Rava kesari as soon as it was served in plantain leaf, it was very good unlike few hotels where they prepare without the real taste of this dish. Then we got the Briyanis and chicken 65. Taste of both chicken and mutton briyani was amazing along with raitha. Briyani in this place is far better than most of the costly restaurants in Chennai. But the chicken 65 was very average and the pieces and size were similar to roadside chicken 65.
We finished the Rava kesari before eating half of the Briyani and we asked for extra sweet and they served it. As we bought tokens for the food, serving food was very fast and also we didn't have to wait for the server to get the bill after finishing food. It's a good strategy as they save lot of our time and their time.
So this place is a must visit for all those briyani lovers but the people who expect a good ambience can get the parcel and have it in home. At a time when most of the Briyani hotels are adding fast food items to their menu, this hotel still sticks to the dishes in which they are good at.
The biryani here is always as if you have it in any Muslim wedding. So authentic so delicious. The ambiance not good but as the name suggests, it goes well along to match that of a wedding hall.
If you are a biryani lover then this is definitely a must try. Apart from the food (biryani) there is nothing that is good or great about this restaurant.

My brother introduced this excellent hotel for biriyani, so delicious! The sweet they serve is also too good, I've introduced this hotel to a lot many people, my near and dear ones. No wonder, this joint is always crowded. Super!!!
I had last visited this place 10years back..It was the yummiest biryani I had eaten at that time...
Its been on my food bucket list for a long time...Finally got a hance today... In terms of appearance it has changed a lot... It wasnt even half as fancy as it is now...
this is a normal biryani outlet that serves mouth smacking biryani... the menu is limited to biryani and few fried side dishes....
We went as a group of 4...we ordered 3 mutton biryani and one chicken biryani..
Masala was great in the biryani... Somehow it wasnt as magical as I imagined it to be... The spices and masala were all there...Somehow it did not have the freshness that I expected...

Will try it again to see if it was just a bad day at kalyana biryani or has their old standards dropped....

its my first favourite biryani shop with the most awesome chicken 65 which is juicy and crispy and the biryani is damn yummy where u can just be eating it everyday and even after u eat the smell of those will make us hungry again and u wont feel drinking water and u wont have oily hands like when u eat other biryanis and no more till u taste it by urself
I have been eating briyani there for years and years....consistent taste...special chicken briyani is the best..their brinjal curry is unbeatably the best I ever had anywhere for the past 20 yrs, onion raitha...semiya sweet...it a class apart from any briyani restaurant...if you haven't tasted their briyani...I pity you!
After a long time went too this shop had a wonderful chicken biryani , mutton biryani and chicken 65 .first good thing is they serve in banana leaf ,nowadays very rare in cities.sweet is really yummy ,onion raitha ,brinjal curry, biryani is awzome pakka Chennai biryani ,u will melt in biryani masala smell, rice quantity is good ,pieces are okay. 65 pieces are big and tasty. . but finaly V had a bad experience in outside th hotel full water bike fully STrucked. . water is coming inside th hotel from road drainage water . :( :(

I happened to go this place located in crooked streets of Parry’s Corner on a dog day afternoon.
There are certain ethics to be followed while eating biryani. Biryani is never tasty in an AC restaurant. And it has to be eaten out of banana leaf with onion raitha and brinjal curry. To my surprise there was a type of biryani called Chicken 65 biryani. A dish that I had never tasted before and didn’t know that it had existed before.
The place is mostly frequented by street vendors and workers of that area but I don’t know why these people don’t start serving much early. The shop opens only by 12.30 PM and gets more and more crowded. The waiters are friendly and prompt. You go there, have food and come back. An absolute no nonsense place.
But if you are going to try their out their restaurant better take a two wheeler. Otherwise it gets nasty to park your vehicle there. Even for a two wheeler you’ve to take the risk of having it outside and being scratched by numerous vehicles which goes through that small street.
A famous eatery located in the street adjacent to the Parry's building. This is as famous as the Nair Mess but its reputation has taken a hit in the last decade or so.
They are famous for their biriyani and serve it with some ordinary chicken 65. There is not much to choose from but the biriyani does not disappoint.

good biryani and one of the few hotels that give the traditional banana leaf, for the take away as well. Not a selective place to go out for, but being next to the Beach Station its worth having a meal while one is around. not a wide range, very limited menu.

On passing through Post Office street, near Beach Station. One's mouth would start watering by the aroma of Briyani at this restaurant. Am a big fan of the Briyani which are served here specially mutton Briyani. they just taste too good, lot different from those served in branded restaurant.
As years passed, quantity was much reduced and price bit raised, still tastes same. The only thing i dislike here is Raita(mixture of Sliced Onion & Curd) coz of intense strong flavor of onion
I would recommend for Mutton Briyani and Chicken 65 Briyani. And for those who hate noise better get parcel. During rainy season mosquito's might irritate lot and spoil your mood.
