Must visit! One of the best restaurants in chennai. With the Chinese theme and background music would really make you feel like you're in China. Coming upto food, food here was really yummy. My Personal favourite was Phuket Fish �. Also very decent pricing. Simply go for it!

I have visited dragons den a couple of times and honestly they have always satisfied me. Each time that they made the dining experience satisfying it only made me want to visit the restaurant again and again. The prices are very very reasonable. The unique feature about their dishes is that they always give an option of trying in two quantities- small and regular. By option for small, we can choose many dishes and give ourself an opportunity to try more. Regular restricts our appetite to limited number of dishes. Small dishes are suitable for one person appetite whereas in regular two - three people can eat. They deliver in normal time, not very long and not too soon either. The food presentation is also very normal and appealing. I love the taste of their food. Its one of the best restaurants in chennai with excellent chinese food. Their interiors are so calm, pleasant, and they give us such a rainy and warm feeling. It feels like we have entered a new world while entering the restaurant. Food is aboslutely worth the money and taste and i will surely recommend anyone who wants to eat chinese food should surely visit this restaurant and i will surely visit them again if i can! Just one small minor drawback is that, i wish the staff were a bit more warm and friendly. Overall loved my experience.

Very affordable and worth for the money. If you are a Chinese food lover you should visit this place. During a weekday afternoon we went and the place was almost empty and the hospitality was great. We ordered chicken legs, Panneer starters multiple times. Main course was also good. Starters portion size can be improved.

Place is very nice. There is very less to no car parking area. You may find a place to park on the platform on the opposite side of road. Food is really good. Price and quality go hand in hand. Quantity is reasonably good. A place I will visit again for sure.

The décor is true to its name has dragons all over the walls, and is made up with red and black.This eatery is widely renowned for its good quality authentic Chinese Cuisine.
Feel in love with the place as soon as i entered. Loved the bright red and black colour theme used on the walls with some unique artistic works. Loved their waterfall side glasses near the seatings. A huge appreciation to the artwork team and loved the fact that the hotel management has worked and working hard to keep the place clean and trying their best to maintain the charm of the place.
A special mention to the caged room with an unique dragon sculpture. The place has also got Dhaba items introduced to their menu which is really very nice.
Let me discuss on few of the dishes which I have tasted:
1. Konjee Crispy, vegetable crispy served with some spicy Peking sauce.
2. Steamed Dimsum, minced vegetable mixed with Chinese spices, covered with a thin flour sheet and steamed.
3. Chengdu Chops, shallow fried Paneer slices, sautéed in spicy perking sauce.
4. Dragons Den Special Fried Rice, nothing much unique it tasted just like a vegetable fried rice. Very decent dish.
5. Phanji Kebab, Aloo is steamed and mashed mixed with some spices. Patty is made with the mix and presented in sticks just like Lollipop.
6. Sambal Egg Fried Rice, Asian Fried Rice with fresh red chilli and added kick of Sambal.
The cooking process was good and the way the dishes were treated is very appreciable. All the dishes looked and tasted delicious.
The staffs were very friendly and were helpful in clarifying our doubts.
Over all I am so happy that I get to eat the above dishes and I would recommend all to try it out.

This restaurant in adayar had fancy look of water flowing in the outdoor glass. Ambiance was very normal Chinese themed. Ordered chicken momos, lollipop and both were good. In chicken wonton the stuffing was less but taste good. Chilli beef was well cooked and taste good. Chinese noodles and fried rice were good as well. Desert were good but bit costly when compared to the main course and starters that we had. Clean and decent restaurant. Other 500 for 2 people.

Inexpensive restaurant with decent food taste and good service. I just hopped in to have some quick food and the service given by Philip (i think he is a chef there) was excellent. The food quality and taste is decent and food prices are relatively cheaper.
A very pleasant, subtle ambience with authentic Chinese cuisine. Their dimsums were great and it’s definitely worth a try. If you’re around Adyar and want to hit a place for lunch or dinner, you can pick this for sure.
One of the best Chinese places in Chennai at a reasonable price.i went their as a recommendation from my friend and I wasnt disappointed. The service is fast and the staff is courteous.their crispy corn and lemon coriander soup is a must try.the only thing that was disappointing was the mango pudding which tasted funny and not fresh.

Dragons den one of the most tastiest Indo Chinese restuarant in city.. their service is good as well as their food quantity is also decent enough.
Been here 4-5 times already. I really like the food here 😄 Good Chinese at an affordable price. Love their Kway Teow. A big fan of the Dimsums here but they don't serve it with really spicy dips (like momos)

Visited Dragons Den today. Food was really good.. Ordered beef steak, dragon chicken, kung po chicken and DD special mixed fried rice.. Everything tasted well.. Specially the beef steak.. There was peculiar taste for each item we tasted today.. And of course desert.. Dates pan cake with icecream.. Really..loved it

I am really glad that I found this place.
So far from what I have tried across Chennai, the type and flavor of their Thai food selections are very comparable to what I have experienced across the United States at this price range (have found restaurants within higher price bracket do justice in that respect). Having relocated for good, I am glad I stumbled upon this one.
I have been here twice and don't have any complaints so far. Tried their chicken dimsums, masamman curry and manchow soup at my first outing. In my second though, tried the hot and sour soup, and green curry. I enjoyed every dish. Even their fried noodles (the one we dump in the soup ;)) was good. I want to specially pick out the thai curries. The meat was well cooked and, well flavored while the curry in itself was very flavorful, thick and wholesome. I did miss the sticky rice though! Basmati didnt do justice to the curry. One downside with the curry is the calories! Felt very rich.
So, overall very satisfied. Gone with 4 stars as I found the service to be little short and price to be slightly on the higher side. Zomato should make 1/2 stars available. 4.5 would do more justice.

I rushed to this place as I was bit late for my bus. I ordered veg Schezwan rice and realized that I wouldn't have enough time to sit and eat so asked the waiter to parcel it.
The waiter realised my urgency and he took less than 5 mins to pack the food and for that I've gladly rated them high on service.
The food was hot and yummy. I enjoyed it even in a moving bus. Do visit this place and the ambience is also quite unique.

Looked for a budget restaurant and found this. Started with soups momos different types of starters all tasted good. Great ambience. Lite music which feels good. Only disappointed was there noodles and fired rice. We ordered chef special but wasn't that good.
It is a Pan-Asian restaurant with mostly chinese style dishes. It is a value for money restaurant with dishes of distinct taste. We can also customise some dishes according to our liking.

Being an ardent lover of Indo-Chinese cuisine, I have been eyeing this place for a while. Ater a long tiresome day, I made my mind to go for it and reached there around 4 PM. It was just myself and my wife in that restaurant and it was obvious due to the timing and that it was a weekday.
The ambience was very attractive with water flowing through the glass walls, wooden decors with some Chinese music playing in the background; the mood sets very early in there. We both were very hungry and took no time in selecting the food we want to have for the evening.
We ordered hot & sour chicken soup, manchow chicken soup, chicken lollypop, steamed chicken dimsum, smoky chilli mushroom and Phuket fish and thought of going for the main course if we have some space left in our tummies.
The soups arrived and the manchow chicken soup was the best. It was so aromatic and I wanted to taste one such soup for a long time and I did atlast. The hot & sour chicken soup was good too but it lacked the oomph factor which was present in abundance with the other soup. Then arrived the chicken lollypop and Phuket fish and they both looked so delightful for the hungry eyes. They both tasted yummilicous with the right amount of sauces and spices.Then came the smoky chilli mushroom and steamed chicken dimsum and both were just fine compared to the previously arrived starters. I'm not sure if the mushroom is supposed to be crispy but it was almost crispy but more soggy with a generous amount of dry red chillies; it had a punchy taste of soya sauce and not that smoky as the name said. I thought that dimsums were supposed to be more like a round shaped item while the momos in the shape of a crescent; here the dimsums were in the shape of a momo but that definitely can be overlooked. The dimsums were good too but nothing exceptional about it to highlight about.
By that time we were done wth these items, we were almost full and decided to end it there.But this is definitely a place I would visit many more times mainly due to their prices which definitely is a steal when compared to the other Indo-Chinese restaurants. Parking for 4 wheelers could be a challenge during rush hours and that's something the management have to take a look at.
My verdict: Just go for it and you might love it!

A great cozy place with fresh food and value for money is Dragon's Den. The staff is welcoming and service is quick. We also met the chef and a pleasant time interacting with him. Though they did not have the clear soup on their menu, they made it for us on special request. I have infact requested them to add it to their menu, simply because the soup was delicious and light! You must also tried their fried button mushrooms, the small ones for crunch. The momos, which I have a weakness for are my most favourite! The steamed veg momos are light, the skin is not doughy, and the vegetables flavourful. You must try the momos with their ginger, spring onion-black bean dip, which is just out of the world! We also enjoyed fried ice creams on a later visit. The value for money is excellent!
Another good indo-chinese restaurant. Definitely not authentic chinese, but a good flavourful indo-chinese place. Loved their crispy fried calamari rings & almost all their starters are good. The dimsum's skin was a bit thick. They can improve on dimsums.

I have visited this place a numerous times. And without a doubt this is definitely one of the best budget Chinese restaurant in the city. The highlight about Dragon's Den is that you can eat all your favourite Chinese delicacies at their best taste without a hole in your pocket.
The ambience is pretty casual and sometimes is a bit noisy. But definitely a very decent place for dine in with friends and family for heavy eating. Not suggested for a romantic dinner or fine dining expectations.
The choice in the menu card is to a very reliable extent. You get good choices of meat and sauces. The best among them being the prawn dimsums, beef in black bean sauce and the konjee crispy lamb are few dishes you should just not miss out on.
The service is just above average. They sometimes make mistake with the billing as the place is crowded most of the time and the staffs are always in a rush. Thought it's the case, billing errors can't be justified. So that's a point of consideration in their service.
Overall dragon's Den is my favourite place to drop in for a delicious Chinese meal at it's cheapest offer.

Just sharing my experience at dragon’s den Chinese restaurant in Adyar where I used to have my dinner with my family for couple of years. But they still maintain their taste and food quality till now. We ordered manchow soup and dragon paneer as starter which was really good and main course with dragon’s den egg noodles which was having enough quantity for our family of 3 people including my 8 years kid.
Only issue is parking and location of this restaurant is just near to MG road signal and the Tasmac outlet on the next building. But we haven’t found any issue till now as the restaurant is in first floor.
I used to visit many restaurants in our area with my family and want to provide info on some good restaurants.
Best budget Chinese cuisine rated 4 only for the budget dishes. It tastes Chinese but not an authentic Chinese I would say. Good tasty quality and quantity food you can get. Very good ambience and courteous staffs. Won't prefer to visit frequently. I don't think they have car parking facility as it is on main road
Authentic Chinese restaurant, run by folks from North East. Good service. Starters were good in taste, content was less though. Main course was good. They aren't serving desserts now. They have regular and large options for all starters and main course. Dimsums were okay in taste. They have only bottle water now, for which we have to pay.

The food was really great! Service and presentation was good as well! The day we went the A/C was not working so it was getting pretty hot and uncomfortable tondine inside the restaurant. Don't know if it was a problem just that day or it keeps happening. There's a vast menu with a latest inclusion of North Indian food as well! That tastes great as well! The Ambience and theme of the restaurant is set a bit dark with ancient Chinese like design. But the rain effect over the glass add a touch of modernity to the restaurant. One of the main things to worry about for people like me is that the seats are fitted together back to back! So if the people on the seat and table behind you are shaking their legs and hands or a kid jumping around, you tend to feel all that shakes and it gets pretty irritating and spoils the dining experience. So if you're picky about that better get a table that's separately kept! Overall the it's one of the good Chinese restaurants serving quality food! It's a must try!

Food is excellent and service is wonderful. We 7 went for a lunch and costed around 6300 bucks with heavy food. Taste is fantastic. Only item we dont like is beef fry, it was like a steam cooked. Fish, prawn, chicken items are awesome.fried rice also good. One more thing is no goat or lamb items. Mostly sea food and beef. I recommend try here if you like a sea food with chineese style.
After spending a lot of time in Chennai I still couldn't manage to find a perfect Chinese cuisine restaurant and now it has come to a halt because I actually managed to find out Dragons Den and it is an absolute pleasure to my taste buds that has a perfect balance of Spice and sugar. You can have absolute great non-veg palette and veg palette as well with a variety of options which is not very much common in Chennai and yes you will get so many options which you will not find in Saravana Bhavan or Sangeeta with authentic Chinese taste.
