Stopped by for Chaat or street food. Loved the paani puri, bhel puri and paav bhaaji. The place is busy with staff multi tasking. The prices are reasonable.
A roadside chat shop which has developed its own name in the locality; had dropped by past 8 PM so they only had limited menu.
Vada Pav – Soft bun and hot vada with spicy saturated chilly; wasn’t big yet had its own flavours with every bite
Butter Pav Bhaji – Wholesome veg gravy with the buttery bread; extra butter on top of the gravy made the whole meal butter-some. The gravy had no spice, but the kick was good
Aloo Chaat – Had a unique minty kick with a twist of chaat in it. Full of potatoes, puri and peas, well-cooked
Badam Pista Kulfi – Best way to end the meal was to go after their thin Kulfi; had an equal distribution of both nuts
Personally, wasn’t happy with the service since had the language barrier to understand which items were available and which wasn’t. Yes, it is pocket-friendly but there is no seating available and parking too is a constraint
This is one of the best chat corners i have been to.This is located in one of the busiest place and in the center of the city.Value for money as well as treat to the taste buds.We ordered butter Pav Bhaji ,Pani puri and Kulfi..Returned home satisfied!!
I had panipuri there. It was very delicious. I couldn't resist my temptations and also had Dahi tikki chat and Vada pav.
Everything was just on top arousing my taste buds.
The taste was too good and is a great spot for street food items. Recommended!!
One of our favourite Chaat Corner during peak office hours. We regularly order from this during late office hours. We have tried all kinds of Snacks, Garma Garam, Chaat, Beverages, Kulfi. But for one item this shop is remembered and famous among on the localities is "Paani Poori". Best Paani Poori I have ever tasted. To all my beloved Foodies, if you guys come across this chaat corner please try "Paani Poori".

What is life without Chaat? The best place for me almost 5 years till now. This Chaat corner is near to my college and I use to go very frequently. Pani poori is total love and all the chaats tastes well. The crowd on the road is enough for the people to taste it. My regular snack place🥰
The place in the city for foodies. The taste of pani puri is unbeatable. I travel at least 6 kilometres just to eat pani puri. People should also try Jhal Muri and Papdi Chat
A tuny and busy kiosk in nungambakkam! Filled with college kids for the price they offer ! Variety of chaats n snacks to gorge on but the aloo tikki chaat is an absolute favourite ! Also tried their pav bhaaji n dahi papdi chat ! Love this place for the price n taste ! Worth try !
Price - 200/- for two
Taste - 5
Over all experiencing the overall taste of All kinds of chaat items over here. Perfect place for quick bites & for your weekends. Different taste for all the dishes, it’s just stunning good
Not the best ambience, and it's self service. I had the samosa chaat and Pani Puri
The Pani Puri saves you a trip to sowcarpet and is delicious compared to what you'd usually get in Chennai. It's flavourful and worth the 35 bucks.
Samosa chat was bit of a disappointment, we still improvised by asking him for more mitha chutney . Not a must have but it's filling and tasty.
Finally I discovered an alternative to Gangotree. The chaats are yummy and reasonably priced. They also have other eats which are decent. I like their Rotato too! The kids loved it! (Potato on a stick, carved out beautifully)
Tikki Chaat is especially nice. A bit on the spicy side!
It's one of my regular place I drop in for my quench of all. Chaat item.
As soon we. Went I ordered for a papdi chaat which is all time favourites and aloo tikka. Both tasted delicious as usual. Then had gol gpapas.. unfortunately here Chennai.
Loovvveeeeee the Pani Puri. The service is quick. The place is usually crowded in the evening. The dahi Puri was fine. Each plate of Pani puri costs Rs. 35. The money is worth the taste.
From the year 2010 I am a huge fan of their pani purri ... It's highly authentic and the quality is at it's best... The development is very much visible from then till now. They have other range of chat items as well and it's a good spot for having a quick evening bite.
I'd tried Aloo Chaat and Dahi Papdi Chaat. The Aloo Chaat was expectedly spicy and Dahi Papdi Chaat was delightful too. And the best part was the quantity given. Worth the price!
I know this shop since 8 years it was famously called as "Rangoli panipuri" since the store name is not rangoli it is a fabrics store but their name for famous. There ever green dish is Panipuri but they have one more dish called jhalmuri you can try that one also
Alright ...What should I tell about this place ❤️
Always love to be here .. everything here is good and absolute 😍 One of the best place in nungambakkam to have Chaat 😛
Location - Follow Google maps ✌️ It's on Uthamar Gandhi Road.Parking is easy for two wheelers but you have to search the parking for 4 wheelers in that road itself.
It's a small counter like shop on the left outside a complex,I guess. I have never been inside that store 😬
There are no seating arrangements provided ..so we have to stand and eat 😑
Food - Whatever you have here, Everything ...I mean literally everything is super tasty and pretty economical too. I had Rotato - The potato chips on a stick which were much crispy 😋 Also the dahi papdi,Bread Pakoda,Kachoris and samosas 😍
The best bread pakoda I ever had in Chennai ❤️
Its available here 🤘
The masala thumps up ..woah 🌩️ Super Masaledaar it is !
Service - As it stays crowded ...the staffs stays busy and you have just wait for few minutes as it's token system.
That's not a major problem.Its worth it !
VFM - Super VFM 👍 Have to pay at the counter first and later give slips at the counter and will be served.
Always try to visit this place whenever I cross this part of city 😊
~Mouth-watering Butter'yyy Pav bhaji~from "Nungambakkam chaat corner" priced at ₹70, is amazeeeee xD
I'd rate it a 5/5.
Don't miss out on their spring potato's. They taste amaze tooo. Priced at 60, the chaat masala will melt in your mouth and stay for longer than expected.
You could increase your quantity
delivery took a long time though the shop is very close to me.
Packaging can be improved !
the food taste was good..but the delivery time must be reduced to improve the satisfaction of the customers..
I ordered sanwatch, very good, pls remove corner of bread 🍞 that's all,
It's one of my regular places where I drop in for my Quench of All. Chaat items...
As soon we. Went I ordered for a Papdi Chaat which is all time favourites and Aloo TIKKI..... Both tasted delicious as usual.... Then had Gol Gappas... Unfortunately here in Chennai Golgappas doesn't have a filling of mashed Potato with Some Tamarind Sauce which I always miss... Here they just add mashed potato and dip it into the Jaljeera Paani... Which is like. Just spicy enough to burn your mouth but not giving you the satisfaction of DELHI Golgappas where first the Gol gappa is opened on top and then filled with some spiced mashed potato and some tamarind sauce and then dipped into the Jaljeera water shicb gives an immense pleasure and taste of sweet and sour.....
We finished our Snacks time with a Kulfi each and said bye will. Come back again.....
No doubt the best chaat you can have in chennai.
Probably the best place to eat Pani Puri and other chat items in town. A wide ranging menu that just tempts you to keep asking for more. Service us very quick and the items are low priced
It's a very busy road though. If you drove by car, you'll have a tough time finding a parking spot. Bikes are easy.
I came here with my family , with not much expectations because sometimes over hyping ruins the experience. But there are some places which simply cannot be over hyped.
The FOOD here is amazing! You get almost all types of chaat here and every single dish was delicious! Every single one! Not one bad dish! The pav bhaaji , the vada pav, the dahi Puri and pani Puri especially were amazing! Even the sandwiches, kulfi and lassi were great! It is very hard to find good Chaat in Chennai, Chaat lovers in Chennai... This is THE place!
The SERVICE deserves more credit than it gets , it's a crowded place like any other popular Chaat hub in every city, the servers never lost their cool even once for the entire duration of my visit, they dedicated all their energy to making amazing Chaat. They were all patient, remembered whom to serve first and enjoyed what they were doing! The Chaat here is made with the freshest ingredients and lots of love.
The AMBIENCE is not what this place is known for , there are no seating facilities available so one must either improvise (sit on the floor, sit on any suitable elevation) or stand. Although some people may consider these as setbacks, it is proven that you can eat more while standing, so for me it was a rather adventurous experience.
GO VISIT NUNGAMBAKKAM CHAAT CORNER IF YOU LOVE CHAAT, THERE AIN'T NO PLACE LIKE THIS IN ALL OF CHENNAI!
A good place for evening snack. Has a lot of variety and the price is moderate - Pani Puri costs 35. The biggest problem is the crowd there. U can expect at least 50 people at 6PM on weekends.
Love for chaat can never fades
I love this place!! Always crowded!!
We ordered
Bread pakoda:- goood yummist
Vada pav:- was perfect
Paan kulfi:- best
Food:- good
Service:- good
Cost :- good
it's a great spot for street food lovers. very budget friendly. Pani Puri and jhal Muri are my favourite. you must taste the Pani Puri. there varieties of kulfi also available there
Probably the best Chaat Corner in Chennai as it serves great and authentic chaat items with ravishing taste. There is absolutely no place that compares to the flavour and authenticity that Nungambakkam Chaat Corner brings forth.
The perfect place if you're looking to snack or even have a nice roadside dinner with your buddies.
Every item on their menu is a must try. Be it the Rotato, Bhel Puri, Dahi Sev Puri or even the Bombay special Pav Bhaji.
The Pani Puri Stall is simply amazing. To see how many plates of pani puri he can make in a shirt span of time for so many people with great consistency in flavour is just mind boggling. Their Aloo Tikki, I believe, is just too good.
A Must Visit Place for every chaat lover in Chennai!
Food - 4.5
Ambience - Who cares it's roadside!
Great deal .. Zomato is my fav. food order app now a days .. keep it up guys ..
yummy pani poori in North indian style.. all kulif item was also good if your are looking for perfect chat item around nungambakkam this is recommended.. paav bun with chenna was spicy and tempting,🤤 .. worth for money..
No where in Chennai well I doubt u will find the authentic north Indian chat as better as this. With the price levied justifies the items quantity. Places in South do really make a hell lot of tagged for north Indian foods just irresponsible pricing for a minimalistic items . Highly recommend for everyday snack as this won't definitely bite u in the years to come.
the chats are great ...specially tikki chat a must try . pani puri - no words to say
If you are dying to have some chaat items like the typical north indian style then this is the place. Price is absolutely reasonable like it should be for any chaat items. I had chhola bature and pao bhaji which was awesome. Overall a nice place to taste some chaats in a pocket friendly way.
My first experience of having chat in Chennai..
Basically m from Kolkata..nungamabakkam chat corner provides the same taste as some of the best puchka corner in Kolkata..very yummy puchka..
Pan kulfi was also amazing in taste..
I didn't like papri chat..it was taste less and papri was soggy..
Tikki chat was just ok..it cud have been more tasty and crispy.
Pav bhaji was also very yummy..
Overall yummy food for Street food lovers..
Tasty delicacies from North India at prices so low. I can gorge on these delicious dishes for days and not get bored of them.
Do try the bread chaat and the moong daal chilla. The other favorites have to be bhajji, pani puri, Pav bhaji and pani puri.
The prices are very low. You can try around 7 dishes in just 250 Rs.

After a long time.... Went here.. Thought its very very close to My office, have not been here even once... But yesterday had my hunger fulfilled.. Me and my friend, we ordered pani puri, samosa chana, vada pav and samosa.. Pani puri was superb.... It was the best of all that we had.. And then the vada pav.. It was also very tasty... The samosa wad okay.. The filling was not nice and it tasted like it had been fried twice.. Samosa chana was good. Taste of chana overtook the taste of samosa..
Will go here again for the pani puri and to try other dishes... ...
The review is completely based on my taste buds and my love for food. (no influence)..
Thank you 🙏
Craving for the hot samosa’s or cheesy sandwich’s, this is your destination to savour and enjoy your evening by having a chat with your friends on the road side while watching people drive past you. Panipuri tops their list. It is absolutely yummy!
Cheap, appetizing and definitely scrumptious
Got food home delivered from here. On time delivery and absolutely tasty food.! Orders: rotato, cold coffee and samosa chat. All of them tasted yummylicious 😋😍
I ordered panipuri, bhel puri, and potato chat through home delivery. Delivery was on time and the delivery executive taken good effort to deliver all items neatly. Packaging was very neat without any spillage or leak.. Tasted very nice and made my evening awesome. I felt great value for money.
I would really recommend and rate it as one of the best chat corners in the city. We had Pani poori, bhel poori, pav bhaji and chole batura.
Paani poori was good
Bhel poori - was the best bhel poori i had.
Pav bhaji - bhaji was normal. So better don't order it
Chole batura - 2 batura with chole. It was also normal.
But other chat items were good and
Recently this place has done renovation and took the most part of it in the basement where there used to be a different shop. The interior is more sober, hygienic, fresh foods and no outside dust. Order the food, pay and take your token and give it to the kitchen/food counter and once done go and get it. The Panipuri stall is still outside and also the juice and lassi section (beverage). I tried many of the chat items and all are damn yummy and value for money. Give it a try for a quick bite.
The food was too good. They had authentic north indian chaats and sweets. The best part was the pani puri. It was just like what we have in Kolkata. I would definitely recommend this place. The place is also budget friendly.
This place was first just a paani puri shop, about 10 to 15 years back. We get the best paani puri here. As school and college students we could afford a plate for 15 rs those days and you would get 7 puris.
Later we had the sev puri, papdi chaat, aloo chaat, jal Muri and bhel.
It’s amazing how this place earned recognition and is a huge place which offers a variety of chaat.
My best pics:
Vada Pav
Bhel puri
Aloo tikki
Chole batura replaced kulcha chole
Sandwich
Aloo tikki + channa
Channa samosa
Badam pista kulfi
P.S. parking is the drawback. Your vehicle especially cars might get locked since you would be parking on the main road, so be careful or take an auto. Also go around 4 pm or 5 pm so there’s so crowd.
On an average you would need only 50 to 100 rs which you would be spending 😁
Good place in Nungambakkam to try various chaat items. Small but nice place to have a decent spread of chaat items. The owner is very cordial with customers.
Had Tikki Chaat, Corn Bhel and Lime Soda. Very tasty.
Also, it is open late till 10:30pm for a late evening stop over with family.
Has chaat, sweets, sandwiches, juices.
Try Lime soda sweet and saltnat the end.
Will recommend this place. Pocket friendly place.
Their pani puri is really worth every puchkas. Perfect taste with lipsmacking tangy spicy flavour. Lots of various chaats and sandwiches. Do try cheese grill sandwich so nostalgic of childhood memories after having the hot sandwich. Must visit place.
Best chaat corner we also get Chinese food here along with chaat items, air conditoned seating for max 15 people. Must visit with friends and family.

Anything you order there taste will be good and pakka north indian style ❤️😋 price is bit higher for the quality of the food they are providing 👍
Loved this corner, had Gupchup, papdi chat which was superb. Mustry is also Malai kulfi it was upto the moon

Located near the entrance of Rangoli Sarees, this chaat stall definitely earns a place in one of the best chaat stalls in Chennai with their mouth watering chaat items and Paani Poori. I never miss to taste their Paani Poori whenever I cross this spot.
One can get a street food experience with good quality food and service. With respect to Paani Poori, more than the taste, it's the experience that one gets while eating talks. The Paani Poori guy serves everyone, surrounding the poori basket, each with a poori dipped in the tangy paani and you wait for your turn drooling to get your next poori pushes the taste to another level.
A plate of Paani Poori priced at Rs. 35, you get 5 paani dipped pooris and 1 dry poori at the end. Pooris are big enough and holds the Paani well without leaking. Another must try is their Sev Papdi chaat costing Rs.60. Cost of the items are little bit on the costlier side compared to other street chaat stall. Probably, they are trying to cash in on the fame they have earned all these years. But, I would say it's a worthy experience one can get. Another good thing about this place is the usage of bio degradable areca leaf plates for every servings.
One of the Chenna's signature chaat shop where you get typical northindian chaats. One of their must try is paani poori. As a kiosk setup this place will have its regular crowds. Tadte will be authentic.
We tried this in our YouTube channel CHENNAI FOODGASM. Check that out.
Pani puri was the best among all chats. We got Raj kachori (little bland but taste was good), Muruku chat (good one), dahi poori (best one to try with kids) no parking available so plan accordingly
Tried dahi papdi chat and it was just awesome...
The ambience is also very good and the music in the background...it added a special taste to the chat.
Will visit again..
The Nungambakkam Chat corner is the best place to have chat items.pani poori or phuchka or gol gappa is my favourite here.
The only place I know in Chennai where you get them in their original taste. Alu chat is also my favourite.you also get samosa chana.
Apart from these you get good bhel poori, papadi chat,Pav bhaji.
Alu ki tikki is not upto the mark.
Lassi and Kulfi for the dessert.
Nice road side eatery to snack indian dishes.
