Not a big fan of vegetarian food, but even I enjoyed going here! High quality rich food. Nominally priced. Always a good option for quick, good food. Was sad to see them close down from their current spot.
Good food.. !! Love the parathas! Great stuffing. Worth the money. Pocket friendly. Hygienic. And even the meals is great to go for.. !
The food quality of this restaurant is quite good. And the paratas are yummy. They should may be try to up the restaurant a bit , with working AC in place. Otherwise you can always order a take away to enjoy the sumptuous meal prepared here.
Good hot parathas. The tomato soup served was not up to the mark. I would say it is a little over priced as it did not taste so extravagant.

Been there many times. All their parathas are good and their side dishes also. Recently they start serving soups also. Their rice verities are decent. some times I think the price are bit high but that never stops me going there.
I have visited Naivedya more than 10 times. The food is really nice and tasty. The dishes taste like home food. However, the service is not up to the mark. I would like to see some smiling faces serving food.
The chats here are amazing. ...
Filling... One dish sufficient for 2...
Come here empty stomach if u really wanna enjoy the dishes :-)
Definitely a good place with right budget
Good food here, you get authentic bites like paranthas, chaat and sweets. It hasn't been doing too well of late though. It's slightly pricey for the general get up, but I would pay this much for the quality of the food. Not great ambience, just about ok. Service is fine. Go there if you're close by!
I am very happy to see Naivedya finally on Zomato. Been a regular visitor to their tiny outlet since the last 12 years or so. It used to be our go to destination when I was short of money and also to have simple home style North Indian food. Surprisingly the owner is a true blue Madrasi with support staff completely from the north except one who has been with them for ages now.
Not much to say about the ambience. It is a very simple looking eatery with plastic chairs and tables but definitely very clean. There is a possibility that you might miss it if you don't watch your steps or drive past too quickly on CP Ramaswamy road. But once you enter, you notice a smiling owner at the counter who welcomes you and who will remember your every visit.
They began by making regular sweets and savouries with really good chaats on offer. They expanded to offering different kinds of parathas, curries, dals and then sumptuous thalis. I have tasted many of their offerings including dahi poori, aloo chaat, bhel puri, kachoris, cutlets and their famous pav bhaji. The dahi poori is easily one of the simplest and finest I have had in the city. Great quality yoghurt poured on fried pooris with a medley of chutneys, sev and coriander to top it up.
The aloo chaat is a similar medley, completely clutter free with simple ingredients. The kachoris were great tasting too and their cutlets, completely Indianised with beetroots standing out. The bhel poori is quite good too. The pav bhaji is easily one of their best offerings with great tasting bhaji with oodles of butter. No artificial flavouring and homely.
Their parathas are amazing too which used to cost 25 bucks for a plate of two about 12 years ago. Times have changed not to say I am growing old too. Now they offer them with two sides including some curries, raitha and pickles. My personal favourites are aloo and gobhi.
Some of their curries are excellent too including the home style aloo gobhi, dals, dum aloo, pindi chole and few other curries of the day. The curries are offered in two different sized boxes based on costings. The desserts including one of the finest lassi, badam and rose milk can be had fresh at their outlet. The milk and yoghurt are extremely thick and fattening but it is ok to indulge on your cheat day because that is what you pay for. The basundi and rasmalai are great too.
Overall, fantastic homely food in the comforts of a restaurant. I really wish they market themselves because many still don't know if they exist except perhaps the old timers and the ones who live close by. Getting back on Zomato is an important milestone for them and I hope they keep up the momentum. Reminds me of Rahul Dravid, consistent sans flashy strokes. I feel Naivedya is similar but yet I desire them to get themselves known more. Must visit for everyone who miss home and also for those who seek good food at an affordable price.
It is located near by main road , Tried their parathas it's very hot and fullfilling and tasted nice , subzis also good it's worth for the money
I was doubtful about the taste of food when i visted for the first time. Ordered just chapathi as i was not sure. They proved me so wrong. The food was tasty and the subzi they make is also yummy. So much like home food and the staff are polite. Its become one of my regular places. Not been disappointed at all. Would surely recommend this place.
I am a regular here and have never been disappointed. One of the best parathas in this area. Love their gulab jamuns too. Great value for money.
Just out of this place now. We visited it for lunch. We ordered Parathas Lassi and gulab Jamun for dessert. Having tasted 4 type Parathas.. Paneer Parathas was the best. Onion and chilli Paratha were just okay. Aloo paratha was totally bland less than average. Pricing is average.
The main highlight of the entire lunch was the chili paratha which we had ordered. The waiter warned us the this would be very spicy. Inspite of fair warnings my colleague went for a go ahead for the same. When the chili Parathas arrived we saw that chili pieces had been added to the Parathas making it super spicy. After tasting them my colleague was in a for a shock. The entire lunch session was an enjoyable affair. Be warned of chili Parathas. They do really do their job!
A very decent food joint for vegetarians. It is famous for its range of parathas- aloo, gobi, paneer, etc. topped with lassi or badam milk. so if you are fond of parathas, you should visit this place. Parking is a problem there, but definitely compensated by good food, low price and good service.
Great chaats and parathas. Pav bhaji with lots and lots of butter, so be sure to order that ;) Slightly on the expensive side, but worth a try!

The best thing about this place is its location.....right on cp ramaswamy road. Another plus is their takeaways with they give in 2 sizes - full portion and half portion. Their paneer butter masala is awesome. So is their dal. Highly value for money, you can buy their side dishes if you can make rotis at home n are worried what to have them with. Will definitely go there again shortly.
Simply brilliant. Was wondering why i missed this place all these years.
Went for lunch and ordered a portion of paneer paratha and phulkas. Paneer paratha was too good. Served with some aloo subzi, pickle and dahi. Phulkas (3 pcs) were soft and was superb along with the aloo capscicum subzi. Food is more home style and i guess this place is going to be regular for me from now on.
Prices are reasonable. Bill came to 150 which is super vfm.
Went for a quick lunch here with my colleagues. My colleagues ordered the regular north Indian thali's and I opted for a paneer paratha and a mix veg paratha..taste was average but quantity was decent. A good option for those wanting to have a quick north Indian meal in alwarpet.
This is an excellent take out restaurant - phulkas with paneer butter masala or for that matter any one of the dishes on offer is great. I had the hulks 5 hours after it was prepared and it was still soft and delicious. Apart from this they also have parathas - a must try. I also ordered friend rice and was apprehensive that it might be bland - however it had the right amount of sauces added and was very tasty - not the genuine chinese fried rice but then we are not chinese!!!!!
In the past i have tried their rasamalai - best ones in South Chennai - as good as Shri Mittai. My latest visit had a range of sweets - i will start trying them over the next few months.
Had ordered some food from here for office lunch party. Nice north indian delicacies. The food was tasty . Not too costly. Definitely worth the money. The paratas tasted really good. The service was good and prompt. Thumbs up!
Let me tell you why we gave them just 3.5. They have very less food options. Not counting the ambiance and the 'barely there' parking facility. We gave them 3.5 for their food (whatever little they serve). We would recommend this outlet to anyone who wouldn't want to miss out on one of the best North Indian veg delicacies in town. We wish they include more dishes.

I used to live in Abhiramapuram. This was my favourite eat out. Every time my mother didn't feel like entering the kitchen to cook we would simply go there and pack ourselves a take away or just sit there and eat depending on the availability of tables. Employees from nearby corporates and other offices come here for lunch. This might make the place a little stuffy and annoying when you are hungry.
It is a small sweet shop cum restaurant. Ironically I have never tried the sweets that they make.
the choice of parathas are just too good. I would reccomend the Paneer, Methi and Aloo Parathas. If you are the rice person, please do try the North Indian Thali!
It is very economical and at the end of the meal, your tummy is really very happy. You might want to have Chaas after that! :P
