the most iconic oldest restaurant in bessy been over 60 plus years here ..i have been to this place since my childhood and after renovation ....i like their mughal biriyani and chicken fried rice....their tandoori chicken is must try and worth the penny...tastes best eith large portion of meat ...char grilled ...and special mention to their dragon chicken 😄😍

A very quiet and nice place by the beach. Very good ambience and service.
First, the dragon chicken was so fresh and juicy. The roasted cashews added so much flavour to the chicken. Loved it. Next, the manchow fried rice had a twist to the classic fried rice, was served hot and flavours were quite impressive. Lastly, i felt the butter chicken masala was a little watery. Also, there were so many bony pieces in there. Taste wise it was okay.
This was my second visit to this place.
Cozee known for years.. over the years food turns to be okayish types with increasing price.... Best place to hand out with friends .. chat items are very expensive.

Tried this restaurant for the first time and surprisingly it turned out to be a good experience. The problem which i felt here is the time taken to serve the food. It is quite delayed. The ambience is good, decent air conditioned interiors and also a good outside seating. The food tasted good and quantity is somewhat less for the price. Overall was a decent first time try.
If you are in Chennai, you have to knock at several doors for tasty north indian food. The food culture here is entirely different from north indians. Cozee is one of the restaurant which is famous for it's north indian taste and location. The owner of cozee is a Punjabi fella so we can have a little bit more confidence. :)
Situated at Besant Nagar beach, the location is just awesome. You can eat indoors or outdoors as per your liking.
We tried chicken do pyaja , chicken 65, mutton and chicken biryani. All of them tasted good and felt good ;)

The food and ambience had no problems. However their service was just poor. The server didn't understand what i was saying mostly. The food took almost half hour. If you can bare with bad service, i think this is a decent place to have food.
I will recommend this place to a friend.
After all the recommendations and suggestions for North Indian & Chinese dishes I visited this place twice. Yes it is a great place. Tried different cuisines and it's mouth watering. They have an outside sitting arrangement facing towards the Besant Nagar Beach, which is comparatively better from any other outlet there.

With quite an exclusive love for chilly panner I went in to COZEE and came out super happy. The chilly panner and the red chilly potato were the best among all the items I had ordered. The ambience is really good. And service was quite efficient even though the place was quite crowded. Prices being very decent its a place to visit often, especially for college students.
A really "cozy" place with really good Chinese fusion and north Indian food which is also quite friendly on the pocket. Perfect for casual outings, brunch dates with fun music and intriguing ambience :)
We ordered some paneer tikka dishes and it was delivered pretty quickly and garnished. Taste was good and price was decent. Worth a try if you're in the neighborhood!
Visited Chennai last weekend, and chose this place( near beach) for dinner. Amazing place, great food and friendly service! Couldn't be more happier!!
Sea view and North Indian food the perfect combination for a weekend with family or friends. They serve variety of breakfast and lunch meals. Outdoor sitting arrangement is nice and also has free parking.
A Great place by the beach to hangout and catch up with friends over some good food. Great ambiance but chennai's heat might get a bit annoying during the warmer evenings.

The place was simple. We, a group of four walked along the beach street to reach their dining area. The place was cozy and the food was great. I specially loved their Lasooni Jhinga and Mango Milk shake. We were able to eat a lot of it. The staff was friendly and helpful. They managed to replace one of the mango shake which we told then that it was sour. Hunan prawn dry served to be their best. Overall it was a good place to sample the best food. If you haven't tried small plate dining, then try Cozee. Food portinos are really pretty good and the food itself is excellent!

I have crossed Cozee several times during my visit to bessy and i have always thought of dining here. Today I decided to give it a try and so visited Cozee for dinner with friends. Located opposite to the poloce booth and adjacent to Pupil is the Pure indian Restaurant "Cozee".
The menu was brief and the pricing was off the charts. We ordered a Non veg Platter, three plate butter naan, one plate regular naan, crispy baby corn, gobi manchurian, paneer butter masala and a Icecream falooda.
The starters were excellent, the non veg Platter, according to their standards is set for 5 people but It cam easily be finished by 2 hungry foodies. Wide variety of kebabs, tikka and tandoori served along side with mayonnaise and mint chutney, the Non veg Platter was a delight to feast upon. The butter naan and paneer butter masla was top notch and generous in portions. The icecream falooda had layers of Icecream, fruits and other ingredients stacked with nuts and sauce.
The ambiance is great, dining experience was good and the food was excellent. The only drawback, personally for me, is the pricing. For a not so unique or exquisite cuisine, the pricing is on the heavy side. Other than that everything else was perfect. I rate Cozee 3.5/5

Cozee has changed and how! From a local shack-like place overlooking the Bessie beach to a proper restaurant with a/c and outdoor dining, it's come a long way. Was there a couple of days ago with a few friends who are regulars. I had a Mushroom Ball Manchurian as a starter, which was really well-done and delicious. Then ordered a plain biriyani with tomato raitha. The biriyani was finger-licking tasty, though it appeared cold at the table and I had to send it back to be reheated. Which the friendly north-east girl who served us immediately got done. Rounded up the meal with a glass of lemon ginger juice from one of the numerous pavement stalls outside. A cosy evening, totally.
Went to Bessy with my friends. Love the beach and the shacks there. The eat street was my favourite place but decided I wanted a proper meal and went to Cozee.
AMAZING FOOD !!! If you're in the mood to have proper Punjabi or North Indian food this is the place to be.
I was very happy with the service as well. Kudos Cozee !!!!
I'll describe this place in three words: Better than expected.
I went there out of persuasion and surprisingly, the food was not bad at all.
It started off with the Gobi Manchurian which was crispy and spicy.
Then came the noodles which became a disappointment. Too oily.
Then came the Flat bread and Dum Aloo. That was the dish of the day. I really loved the spices added to the Dum Aloo.
However, I was not too happy with the service and the place was tightly packed. The waiters were quite hostile.
Update: We tried the Dhal Makhani and several others like Garlic Naan and Paneer Tikka. Currently, I am in love with this place. I now know why my dad loves this place so much! I strongly recommend that you go there.

This very restaurant is located just beside the beach.
They also have beach view dining,but we chose the air-conditioned one.the interiors were cool! ,which gave details of their journey.
Coming to the food we ordered
1. Chilly paneer - (not too spicy despite informing them to make it spicy) (3/5)
2. Crispy baby corn - (it was crispy but i could taste uncooked cornflour) (2.5)
3. Kadai paneer - dint satisfy me (3/5)
4. Paneer tikka masala - now this dish isnt present in the menu but i told him to make it the way we like,it was the "Star Of The Dinner". (5/5)
5. Naan - was not hot while it reached us(2.5/5)
6. Butter naan -was not made in the punjabi style despite being started by a punjabi (3/5)
7. Roti -was good(3.5/5)
8.briyani - it was made the way we wanted(5/5)
Now comes the suprise!!
The server suddenly comes with 2 faloodas,after interrogation we found that it is given to every table as complementary.i was impressed by this marketing strategy.
Overall it is an above average restaurant located on the beach side.i would visit it again mainly for the beaches breeze.
Went here with a bunch of friends on a weekday. The food was great and we were well attended to.
Rohit, in particular, was extremely helpful and attentive. And although I'm sure we were a raucous bunch, we were offered free dessert!

By the side of Elliots beach... Nice place to hang out with friends. Food was good as well. We had noodles, chicken biriyani, pulao and paneer butter masala. All tasted fine.
When ever we visit bessy we never forget to visit cozee, love their paneer tikka, jalebi,chats, we ordered Pav bajji- it was good, panipuri was ok , paneer tikka was good

Being to COzee was a excellent experience all the staff specially EUKEE is Amazing girl very pleasant smile and brilliant hospitality. She knows the stuff of the restaurant and suggested us the best one the food was mouth watering and we are really thankful for the complimentary dessert. Very lovely staff nice place really good food and service with smile but eukee is unforgettable. She actually made our day. Will definitely look forward to visit cozee may just not for the food but for also such good staff and environment.
This place has been upgraded. New interiors, a few more added staff. One of the most crowded places to visit during the weekends. They serve some really amazing chats with some best chicken starters and one of the best tandoori Rotis . Lovely food. Great taste. . Finding parking space is gone be slightly difficuly during the weekends. Locating this place is the easiest thing you can do in Besant nagar.
One of the best and old restaurant in besantnagar almost 40 years old ...I rem my dad saying , this place being his fav spot since he was in college , it's that old ...
Food rates way better after renovation , I like their chicken Mughal biryani and fried rice mix , this be my usual pick !!

A lovely place to catchup with friends and family! The outdoor dining area is beautifully laid out.
I wanted to write about their service first before getting into the food as that was a highlight when i visited them today. Very courteous staff with promt and quick service. They definitely deserve a special mention.
The food was excellent too. Kati roll and kebabs seems to be there forte. Kebabs were soft and flavoursome. My mouth waters as i write this! They produce great kati roll. I recommend chicken and paneer kati roll the filling is awesome. Apart from this i oredered biryani, garlic naan and daal makhani it was excellent, one of the best daal makhani i have had in town.
Overall fantastic experiance! Will definitely visit again and again..
This was a visit by accident. Ambience pulled me closer to this place. Initially the people who came with me weren't totally with my decision to try this one out. But I convinced them to try a different place like this. And voila, it started off with a really dry chilly paneer as promised and a Gobi Manchurian. The starters oozed off a flavour which stayed a touch long than usual in our tongues. The people were convinced, requested the menu card again and ordered further. The lister includes a Dal fry, roti, Chicken katti roll and a veg moti kebab fully based on paneer and an apple juice ;) completely out of the blue.
A multi cuisine restaurant started by late Daljeet Singh has been around for ages and has mostly been unnoticed. I would have given it a 5 on 5 had their service been a tad faster and if there were more dishes available as listed in that book which was more than a menu card ;)
PS if you recognize this man who started this restaurant chain then his life was awesome!
Went here for lunch with my sisters. We started off with watermelon juice to quench our thirst. For starters we ordered Fish Amritsari, the fish was so soft and done really well. Then we had a chicken starter Chef's Special, the chicken was done perfectly loved it and the plating was so good. Then ordered mutton biriyani it was done nicely according to my taste soft mutton pieces not too spicy cooked to perfection yummy!!!
Pleasant ambience, have outdoor seating, located close to the beach makes it a perfect place to hangout and yes great food!!!!!. Will definitely be visiting regularly.
A decent place to hangout with family or friends! The food is good with options of wide varieties like North indian, chinese etc, the service can be better, the seating-out arrangement that has a beach view is not to be missed.

The Service is excellent. The Food is awesome. Especially 'Drums of Heaven', has become my son's favourite. Paneer dishes too are good. Overall had a good experience dining with family after like 3 yrs.

This is the best place to dine in besant nagar as they serve the best north indian food and recently they have added pizza pasta and burger .....
Location is amazing next to beach. Good is delicious. The Nan is fresh from tandoor and is really thin and worth ordering.
Only thing is they always want cash and will play a game to not take card.
I am still giving 5 star for only food and location.
Next time will give a 3 if cash remains a question

We wanted to eat when we were out to bessy beach. So we opted for this restaurant. It's very neatly maintained and courteous staffs. Typical north Indian food is available. Good taste worth the money.
“Batcha Singh” restaurant is what one could remember if you once visit cozee. Very decent restaurant with nice dine out facility in Besant Nagar Elliot’s beach area. Their menu looks normal as other Indian bistros. French fries stands out in their menu. Some dishes are over priced and some are nominal! However the appearance of the hotel doesn’t match with the food provided! Could improve their menu and pricing as well as the taste.
This one is just opposite to the beach. Food is good they have all varities including chinese, indian , italian, juices and fast food. Its a good place for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian people. This restaurant has a sit out feature and a AC restaurant also. People who prefer to have the food by the beach can sit out. Thats what most of the people prefer. You have varity of shops near by like desserts if you want after a proper meal here at Cozee. Nice location and good food. The ambiance is also good. Good place for family and friends to hang out.
