So this is my first review on Zomato, I always call up or have a chat with the manager at the restaurant and leave my feedback. I am usually not very vocal about it on public forums but I guess I should start sharing my feedback so that it can help others too. The dinner I had today truly deserves my first review. Unfortunately no pics with the review since I ordered in and just FYI they don't have dine-in options, only take away and delivery.
Let's begin!
1. Placing the order - I was in the mood to have Bulgogi, a Korean dish which I regularly have at the other cascade restaurants but they don't cook tenderloin here anymore (they used to earlier) so I had to completely replan my dinner options on-call but the person on the phone was very patient and suggested me with lot of options. I finally decided upon a new dish they've added in the starters, Thai Chilli Chicken. For main course I ordered Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Bell Pepper, 1 each. The calling experience was wonderful and my order delivery time was 45 minutes.
2. Delivery - Delivery was done in 30 minutes and I did not have to guide the delivery boy twice. He was really smart and found his way from virugambakkam to kk nagar, I usually have a hard time guiding the delivery boys to my place and they call like a hundred times so this was awesome for me. Delivery was free.
3. Fooooooood š½
a. Packaging - Highest quality silver foil packaging and dinner was really hot.
b. Quantity - Thai Chilli Chicken was the right quantity for 2 people. Fried rice was more than enough for 2 people considering both are good eaters. Chicken Bell pepper gravy was a lot (more than usual) so we'll be having it for lunch tomorrow again with fried rice again from Cascade. (Order quantity 1 each of all dishes)
c. Taste - this is the most important part for me, the Thai Chilli Chicken was just too good. It was the best part of my meal. It was very flavourful, juicy and spicy but in a good way. My dad usually doesn't have outside food (he's a chef and ex marine, he prefers home cooked food almost always 99.99%) but he was raving about the chicken. He just loved it. He even called the restaurant manager and conveyed his delight, he couldn't control his emotions.
The Fried rice was well prepared, rice wasn't over cooked nor was it undercooked and same applies to the vegetables. The chef wasn't stingy with the chicken so every bite I had, there was chicken in it.
The chicken bell pepper gravy was tasty and the chicken was very juicy and tender. It was medium spicy, just the way I like it. Like I mentioned earlier quantity here was a lot, not complaining.
d. Price - not so important for me considering the taste is good but I'll mention the split up as it matters to a lot of people. Payment was done via cash and the delivery boy had brought proper change.

Cascade is one of the few Chinese restaurants I like in Chennai. Had lunch with a friend. We had Chili garlic noodles, Kwailaam Chicken, Cauliflower manchurian and two mocktails. Liked almost everything except the mocktails. They were too dilute. The service was very good. The bill was around 1200INR. Apart from the mocktails the price was quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity.
It's a place where you expect to have a good Chinese cuisine and they serve you upto the expectation. Its very good in terms of quality and quantity. And the prices are cheap. I would love to visit again. Please try the Thai fried rice. Its amazing!!!
Visited this place with family a week back. Has valet parking which is good considering this restaurant is on a busy road. Decor and ambience is classy. Service is good but it takes time for the food to come. Portions are large, so be prepared to parcel some of it back. We had ordered for a clear soup, dimsums, chilli garlic noodles and dragon chicken. Dimsums were outstanding and a must try. The soup and noodles too lived up to our expectations. Dragon chicken was a bit too sweet and low on spice. Price is reasonable considering the quality and quantity. Clearly, one of the best Chinese restaurants in town.
Best restaurant for non veg dishes. A bit slow in serving and price is a bit high. But food and dishes will be excellent. Quantity also will be more which we get. Overall a best place for non veg !!
Good Ambiance. Located on Busy road but they have Valent Parking to Compensate for that.
The food is really good. Even though it is priced a bit high the quantity compensates. Their Honey Potato and their Fried Ice Cream are my personal favourite. Some times service is a bit slow. But overall a Good Place to Have Good Chinese Food.
Very slow in serving orders but professional. Tastes not original for dishes like sczhewan fried rice and dragon chicken. Quantity is pretty much more as one dish served 4-5 people. Ambience is good. No parking facility .

To start with i am not really a chinese cuisine fan but went for a sunday lunch here for a try and i must say i wasnt disappointed.

We had prawn tempura, dragon chicken , dimsum ( was not really happy with it ), beef sizzler, pan asian chicken grill, chicken lollipop and fried rice with the starter beinf with a soup.
All were decent and didnt have much to complain about except for the mocktails.. Except for the green apple didnt like others much
Ordered for a home delivery. Food was delivered in about 40 minutes. Ordered for crispy corn chilli which was very soggy because of the packaging. The veg manchurian balls and veg hakka noodles was really tasty. The fried rice was strictly okay and was a little dry. Their portions are HUGE which is good value for money.
At The Cascade your order can never go wrong. Best place for big groups. Average cost per person is between Rs. 300 to Rs. 500. Great Chinese food with good quantity.
Been here so many times. The ambience here is very pleasant and one of the best chinese restaurantsĀ in Chennai. Though it is a bit expensive..it is compensated by the quality and quantity of the food served. A must try for every foodie. The dragon chicken served here is the best I have had in my life. Must try. :)

Cascade is one of a good to go restaurant when compared to many chow chow wannabes in chennai. The location is in the dark and no place for car parking. The reason I went there was just to try momos. To my surprise I wasn't disappointed at all. Trust me I have had fair share of worst experience when it comes to momos. Overall the restaurant was good with great food and good ambiance. I would recommend this place to couples, families.

I live a stone's throw away from this outlet and is a place that I frequent quite a lot.
During my last visit, I tried the Chicken lemon sauce (fried chicken with peanuts and lemon sauce, tastes sweet but worth a try), my usual crispy lamb in oyster sauce, chicken honey walnut Chilli (oh, this was yumm) along with chicken noodles.
We were three members, 3 side dishes and 2 chicken noodles costed us around 1500

Consistency of food quality is not as expected from a restaurant costing at Rs. 1500 for 2. I always felt that something was missing in the taste. I love Thai red curry, but sometimes the chef makes it look ordinary.

This Cascade has always been my Go to Go place (cuz its a stone's throw away from my house), and I never once had a bad experience , kudos to the Quality Nd Qunatity of the food they serve and their courteous staff :)
To start with, the restaurant is placed perfectly at street's view and those who are GPS'ing won't have trouble finding this place. Has a good 2 wheeler parking but not so spacious for those with limousines.
The ambiance is Very good followed by a good set of staffs as said before,. You won't have any trouble finding a table.
To start off with , the usual diversities of chinese Soups one would expect are listed on the menu, ( Note: A bowl of one would easily suffice 4 of us.... Yeah, U heard it right and that's the quantity they provide) . Starters are mouth watering as usual ( On a personal note : Try Bell Pepper Chicken and Deep Fried Chicken) ..
On to the Main course( TBH , You would be barely left with little space after those starters) you would be limited to Rice, Noodles and Chopsuey. (Of which all 3 are delicious and its your personal preference to opt for) , Further moving on , All their Side dishes are awesome ( On a Personal Note: Try the Red wine Chicken ) especially Manchurian .
Finally, in the Desserts section , Sizzling brownie and Fried ice cream are my favs. Their Milkshakes and fruit salads are good too.

A couple can easily have a sumptuous meal for 1k and for a family of 4-5 , 2k would be more than enough.
With no Cons whatsoever, all the Pros make me visit this restaurant on a weekly basis and get my tummy filled :D

Ruth Reichl once said, "Pull up a chair, take a taste, come join us, life is endlessly delicious", this was what hit my mind when I left #TheCascade. Hopped in here for lunch and came back fully satisfied :)
The restaurant has an edgy finish and classy interiors. They really know how to give that posh outlook :) The startling pond with flowing water lines, blocks of so-called-wood, comfy chairs, ample light and dividends were perfect and pleasant.
Service at this bistro was appeasing too. They were careful to make sure all our needs were attended. From opening doors to pulling chairs to arranging cutlery to serving food to asking for more, they knew their job quite well.
Food was exceptionally delicious. We ordered #SchezwanChickenFriedRice #Sapo #GoldenBasket. Three dishes to fill our tummies and carry back home too :) Sapo was a warm dish served with the flame. Chicken was tenderly cooked and predominately soft. Sapo had a rich gravy that would go well with any rice or noodles. SchezwanChickenFriedRice was not-too-Spicy or not-to-num! From spice to salt to veggies to non veggies, I liked everything about this main course. #GoldenBasket was grin-zed chicken, served in a crispy papad covering. It was a perfect starter :)
Nevertheless, I wish they had some desserts :( this was something I missed at Cascade. Pricing, was sensible too .. We spent ā¹ 836 for our order.
Would I go here again ? Definitely yes!

Location is definitely easy to find when you know in and around Virugambakkam.. It is not easy to miss this place located above Papa John's.. However, when you use Zomato app/maps, it does guide you to wrong..

Starters are too good here.. Having tried Dragon Chicken and prawns already.. We opted for Volcano chicken this time.. It was more like a Big Brother of Dragon Chicken.. Chicken, as usual was too soft and succulent.. Tasted too good.. Portion is definitely appetizing enough for two..
For main course, we wanted to try Thai Fried rice.. It was perfect.. Schmeckt gut!!
The Cascade - is definitely the best Chinese Resto in ma neighborhood.. Given my liking towards Chinese cuisine, I would definitely visit here often...

best place to visit for Chinese food lovers. food varities are good. do try that cheese filled wontons with the sauce provided. it's awesone. and Chinese food lovers pls try the bland white sauce gravies for side dish. i promise that you will love it. service is very good. had a great dinner time with my wife in that nice ambiance on our 5th relationship anniversary celebration.
I have been to this calmer place twice. First time it was a horrible experience... Very poor service, regret for going there... But the second time the complete service team has been changed and I was amazed by the change...
The Food:
We had chicken wantons, Thai spicy fried rice, schezwan noodles, pepper chicken, fried ice creams, peach melba, and sundae...
Noodles was very normal and not truly Chinese as usual taste... I was expecting softer and juicier taste but it was dry...
Fried rice was yummy perfect texture and taste...
Wantons were surprisingly yummy with the sauce
Desserts were my favourite, esp. Fried ice creams were soooo good... When the ice cream blasted in the mouth, I was thrilled... Great experience one must taste it.
Peach Melba was disastrous choice as we didn't know Peach tastes so sour...

It was a Sunday evening. My family wanted to eat out. I was lazy to head out and we looked at options for home delivery. Called up Cascade and enquired about home delivery. Ordered A spicy pumpkin and black mushroom soup, baby corn mushroom and spinach in schezwan sauce along with eight treasure hot pot for main course. For noodles, we ordered Veg Kway Teow and Yue Mein Noodles.
The portions were big, the packaging was very neat and spill free. The total bill was 1083 and it was a very sumptous dinner for my family. The person who took the order was Clement Raj. He was very polite and courteous.
I'm ordering from here once again.
Very friendly, consistent food. Quantity makes up for the cost. Lovely soups, Thai food made well, Chinese made well. Wish they took care of the use of Chinese salt measures. Overall they never disappoint.
I love this place! They serve the best Thai red/green curry in town. Their rice and noodles also deserve a mention. Be sure to try their Thai fried rice. Portion are great and the ambience is really superb. Service is a wee bit slow. But the food definitely makes up for it. Pricing is moderate, but a total VFM. They do home delivery too. It takes up to an hour no matter how closely situated u are. That's the only gripe. But it ain't enough to keep me away from this place. I whole heartedly recommend that u visit this restaurant. Surely u won't be left disappointed.

Another dinner with my companion after yesterday night dinner at Azzuri bay. We wanted to have dinner close by, so decided this place, since my friend suggested Cascade couple of times.
Finding this place was little difficult, since Zomato navigated us to wrong place. Then asked the localities & found this place. Just take a immediate right after Chandra Metro mall (Fame/Inox cinemas), when you come from Vadapalani. It's locates 100 metres from main road, on first floor & the ground floor was occupied by Pizza Corner.
We were received gently with smile & provided 2 seaters. Service was prompt & gentlemen throughout the dining.
We have Four coloured chicken dim sum, Calamari (Fried Squid), Taiwan Style Chicken Noodles & Fries Ice Cream. All the dishes were perfect.
- Dimsums were delicate & tasty along with 3 sides.
- Calamari was so crispy n gave very light sea food taste.
- Noodles was tasted good as well. Chicken & mushroom boiled perfectly. It was little blunt with any main course or gravy, apart from that it was nice.
- Last but not least, Fried Ice cream was our dish of the day . Vanilla ice cream was wrapped with fried butter scotch layer. It was hot from outside, but the core was very cold. It just melted in our mouth.
It should have coated around 950, but with 15% discount at CITI card, it costs only ā¹780 for 2, it was value for money.
Ambiance was perfect for chinese restaurant.
For me its a best Chinese restaurant in the Porur-Vadapalani neighbourhood. I would not mind recommending to others or going back again soon.

The food and the ambience is pretty good. There were certain turnoffs though. The mocktails weren't really the best. Service was slow. And its location is slightly hard to find. Good place overall!

I have to write a review about Cascade I ve been to many Restaurants and I felt this is the best the ambience was awesome.
The waiters explain you what you really want and don't hesitate to ask them about the menu before you go for it.
It was an official dinner outing and around 8 of us, we all enjoyed the place was neat and the food was just amazing Soups, starters like Crab flesh, Beef Sizzlers, Fish fingers, Prawn, chicken were just amazing and the main course.
I would suggest to go for it its worth the try. And the cost is quiet expensive. But the only thing that screwed up was the chicken lollypop was not good at all.
The drinks Strawberry Nojito and Tropical Depression was good.
Last but not the least the Fried Ice Cream was just heaven OMG.
Very good taste, it has a very good blend of taste and ambience. The quality and quantity is very good. Would cost a minimum of about 300 to 400 per person. A very good place to hangout for families.

I absolutely am in love with the fact that areas surrounding K K Nagar, Nesapakkam and Virugambakkam are starting to have many new dining options, The cascade being a new addition to the list. I recently tried food from here delivered to my friend's place for dinner. First thing anyone would notice with the delivery option is the way the food is packed. I really liked the packets in which the food arrived. The packets were of thick foil material that seemed to retain heat for a pretty long time. So the food was hot even after a while since it's arrival. The Cascade's menu contains everything a Chinese food lover would want to eat. I tried their chicken dim sums with the spicy red chilli chutney and chicken lollipop for starter. With 6 piece in each serving, they tasted really good. Their gravy portions are huge and each would easily suffice as a side portion for 3 to 4 people. The chicken Hakka as a side for garlic chicken noodles was almost fine. The portion of the main course noodles too would be good enough for 2 to 3 people depending on the appetite. Priced between reasonable to high, The Cascade's new branch is a welcome addition in the area. It is definitely alright to visit the place once in a while if you are in for some Chinese.

I always rue the fact that 'this' part of Chennai does not have too many fine dining or a 'different' cuisine restaurants.
Cascade is an answer to this after many years. Its one of my favorite restaurants in Chennai and I have been to their restaurants in Besant Nagar and Nungambakkam before this one was open.
Ambience is not bad but the Nungambakkam one was way better. The service was quick and the waiters explained the dishes very well.
The spicy sesame cauliflower for starters was yummy and the hot and sour soup was good enough.
Taiwanese style noodles were perfect and the portions were really huge for my wife and me. The mixed vegetable and cashew nuts gravy we had with the noodles was decent but a little watery.
The desserts I always love to have at Cascade is the fried ice cream and it didn't disappoint me this time as well although I wonder why it is not on the menu.
They refilled my Chinese tea all the while I was in the restaurant.
Head out to Cascade if you need a good dining experience in this part of Chennai or if you want some good Chinese food.
