We had Ghee roast plain dosa. Really good preparation and the chutney and sambar is tasty. The ghee roast in itself is quite the meal and crisp till the last. Ambience is okay though this restaurant is not old. Parking available for up to three cars.
One of my favourite South Indian places. This place at T. Nagar offers a good variety in Dosa's, Thalis and taste is consistent with their other outlets. Service is prompt and place is clean with a good ambience. Parking is sufficient for three cars and a few two wheelers though anymore would be an issue.
No salt in fried rice. next time please be careful.

Not sure why this place is getting low ratings. Been here twice cause it's close to the shopping zone. Should say, was pleasantly surprised to find a VB outlet to be so good (they generally have a reputation of being mediocre). Firstly, they have a South Indian veg menu that isn't 30 years old like every other restaurant in town. Sangeetha, a2b, hsb, Grand sweets - same old menu you find everywhere. This place seems to be making an effort at adding some creativity to the dosas and idlies. Second, though not all chutneys stand out, this is one of the few places the coconut chutney actually had a lot of coconut (every other place just serves pottukadalai based white chutney in the name of coconut chutney). And the sambar and comfort food we tried was all good. I guess hygiene is not their strong point, having read the other reviews and recollecting a couple of details from my visit. Anyway, if you're sick of waiting in the Sangeetha queue and bored to death with the general south indian veg menu - you should definitely try this out!

I really do not understand the poor reviews of this place. Maybe my standards are low or they have a different face when they do home delivery!
I ordered food in for breakfast. Their mini tiffin (Worth the 125 bucks for a Puri/Mini Idlis/Dosa/Vada/Pongal/Kesri combo) was good so was the Butter Dosa. The Mysore Masala was not authentic but then in Chennai you cannot find a proper Mysore masala dosa, so its fine. It was tasty anyways. Loved the chutneys. Good food, at least much better than A2B and SB which are overpriced!
This restaurant always delivers food on time.... They never take more than 30 minutes and the food is also of good quality at an affordable price. Any grievances voiced out is immediately and effectively addressed by the manager Mr. Somasundaram.

My suggestion is to keep the cook more than 13yrs experience in other country because he know the other country cooking taste and he know the tips very well so our country peoples will enjoy that food.

Meals were pretty goood especially dat millet sweet pongal which cums along wid it. Bt some of de items lyk de alooo Curry had excess salt.
Chinese combo had veg fried rice, Gobi Manchurian gravy, crispy babycorn, gulab jamun nd sweet lassi.
Fried rice was decent. Gobi Manchurian gravy quantity was huge, bt it had so muj of salt dat finishn it fully wasn't dat easy. I guess ppl here are vry generous in adding salt.
Crispy babycorn was de ultimate worth of ordering dat combo.
Gulab jamun was ice cold nd dint seeem fresh.

It's Puratasi Month and people Parade to pure Veg Hotels, which leaves in waiting time and long ques In every hotels these days. Myself and a family member decided to stop for dinner at a popular Hotel but sadly seeing the que which was longer than expected we moved on to the end of the road and ended up at Vasanta Bhavan.
The place has undergone some serious alterations which was neat and simple, menu has some additional items which had chocolate dosas to sukku Kaapi.
It was a Sunday night, so the crowd was buzzing and the place seems to very busy but we managed to find place for 2 of us. Right then grabbed the menu and ordered plain dosa, Chola bhatura, chilli Parrotta and Parrotta.
The plain dosa has been waved with 3 different chutney and sambhar, the dosa batter was old and we got it replaced. The Chola batura was my favorite, less oil and huge portion made it to a satisfied dinner. Chill Parrotta was a let down, there wasn't enough flavour or the spice dint get the perfect mixing also the salt was very less which left us to keep it aside.
The bill was INR 375 with tax and what I loved the most is the courteous service.

After hearing so many mixed reviews from people around abt this restaurant, was really sceptical to try it out. A few days back when I found my fav restaurant crowded ,tried this outlet with no other alternative. And I am really glad that I visited this plc. Absolutely delicious food and the ambiance was good. Everything came in a second though he said it will take sometime.i have attaced the bill.everything was so piping hot and verygood taste.

Was pleasantly surprised by some of their new dishes on the menu. Tried the Ragi Idiyappam with coconut milk, the chilly chinese idli and the tender coconut pudding, all of which were very good. The tender coconut pudding is a must try. The service too was good-special mention must be made of Kiran, the waiter who served us with a smile and was enthusiastic about getting us to try out the new items on the menu.
I visit this place just for the lovely coffee they make. Coffee lovers must try them.. Sukku kaapi is something I love here! Ambience is good. Food is ok
Always finding a good restaurant in T Nagar during the night is a difficult task especially when you are so tired after shopping, and all that you what to do is to find a good seat, put down those heavy bags and have a good dinner. Of course T Nagar has a good variety of restaurants but some are full with a long queue of people waiting outside. Surprisingly this place had enough seats to accommodate us today.
The menu looked interesting with their kambu roti, kelvaraghu dosai, kelvaraghu idiyappam to name a few. We ordered their 'kari dosai' and parotta kurma.
The Kari dosai was simply delicious. This being a vegetarian restaurant did justice to the non vegetarian foodie in me. The Kari dosai is nothing but masala dosai, the masala being made of soya chunks. It tasted just like mutton curry. The masala was spicy enough and laden with spices. The parotta kurma was also good.
#FINAL VERDICT
Will definitely keep visiting this place whenever I come T Nagar to have their Kari dosai.
Have visited this place for a couple of times and recently booked a lunch order for 100 people.
The food was really great and all the diners were delighted.
Great hospitality and the food was delivered to the venue on time and service was done without any chaos.

It's been long day after floods we came out for lunch..family members insisted to go to some other hotel..I said v go to namma veedu vasanta bhavan they might hav improved....As per my words the team has improved a lot...especially thanks to chef who prepared sambar.....still the taste remains.....but only one thing v hav to wait for long time....indeed for good food we have to wait.....total family is happy with the food...thanks team namma veedu vasanta bhavan

First of all too difficult to identify this restaurant, signages are there but not visible for customer, service very slow, we waited for long and too much noises from staff counter, food was really good, we enjoyed, they need to look in minus points..... Good Family Restaurant...!!!!

Me and my family went out yesterday for Shopping in T Nagar , but it was not satisfactory. We decided to end the day with a good dinner. We decided to give a try in " Namma Veedu Vasantha Bavan" . It was a nice decision. We ordered masala dosai and adai. Taste was simply superb and nice.chutney could be lot spicier that is the only suggestion we could give. Our family enjoyed the dine. You complete our day.Sure our family will be your routine customer.

I just Started eating here only recently, and usually have breakfast or the meals. The breakfast is quite good by Chennai standards. Idli, dosa, and pongal are all well made and can hold their own against the other players in this segment - HSB, Sangeetha, A2B, etc.,
Their filter coffee is excellent too

Been here a number of times.. a good restaurant with reasonable rates and bang opp pothys in tnagar ..with very good food quality and taste... I must say the snaks and specially Dosas here are amaizing in taste... I simply love it more every time i go here to have food.. ialso love the guntur ildy and meals here nice comfy atmosphere to dine with frinds or family. It looks like a kfc or mcd inside. The have good parking facilitates too. Try out the new evening snacks in the restaurant.
Recently, I went here with my mom for Lunch. It was a bit crowded at that time and we had to wait for like 5 minutes before we got a table. We had a Chennai meals, Veg. briyani and parotta with kurma to go with it. The portions were quite filling and the taste was, divine!!!!!!!!
All in all, I've been impressed been here.
I would definitely go here whenever I need a quick bite, that doesn't hurt my wallet.

Clean and bright environment.. with yummy food taste which was stomach fulfilling... We had chennai meals.. the kottu and avial was so tasty. the poriyal went good with the sambar.. Food is like the old authentic Chennai foods which we use to get...Every time i come here the food gets better than before and i wonder few times how is the food been improved when the food already tastes really good....
Almost every month 15-20 days i go to any outlet of VB to dine and i will never stop coming here because the best food been served here...
Cant be without VB as i'm a addict to the lovely food and service provided in a great ambiance :)
