Excellent ambience and a nice place to be in with the family. Awesome food at reasonable price. Definitely a must place for everyone to go.

I visit here often, the veg options are pretty good too. Their chilli paneer and dragon mushrooms are my all time favourite. Definitely pocket friendly.
Crispy Beef is the best one! Apart from that everything is awesome and delicious. I would say that this is the best affordable cum classy restaurant ever in whole chennai. Just luving it
I just love their crispy beef dish, one of the fantastic dishes which is not their in the menu card but u can request for a crispy beef plate which is like 160 bucks I've been their customer since it was step n taste now name changed to The track almost close to 2 decades I've been thier regular customer. Sad part is that they don't serve pork now. Would be great if the start serving pork
A place which is frequently visited by . I feel the highlight and must have is dragon mushrooms. The food is yummy and makes it one of the favorite place to visit. The quantity and quality of the dishes are delicious and good enough
Best place to have multi cuisine😋😋enjoy tummy full meal at reasonable price!!!😊😊😊 their noodles rocks!! plan your lunch and enjoy the meal at good ambience.
Amazing restaurant with awesome food. Specially kadhai paneer , I can go at any time to get the experience again and again. Service is great, serves delicious food under minimum time. Veg and non veg both serves with great taste. Just go and experience yourself.
Good ambience. Comfortable parking space. Staff members are very kind and helpful. Orders were delivered quickly. They are open for feedback. Good place to eat some decent food.

Well, this gives me a funny, nostalgic and great feeling reviewing Track. I've been eating here before it was Track, before the makeover, over a decade and half ago when it was called 'Step n' Taste'.
Part of the 1Kg biriyani shop ownership, this eatery is a legendary setup in kotturpuram.
Admitting the quality and quantity has gone down in recent times, the food has disappointed me very few a time keeping in mind the numerous times I've been here or ordered food home.
My foodie buddy and I settled for lunch on a Friday at 14:30.
It generally isn't crowded during lunch through the week.
Order:-
Chicken Lung Fung Soup (₹99) - Technically the soup is to contain 'snake' and lemon amongst veggies and chicken to be called lung fung. But, as a thick, peppery broth type soup it was good.
Chilli Prawns (₹190) - Well made, spicy version with a generous toss of garlic, onions and peppers. Large portion size.
Chicken Yanchow Rice (₹180*2) - This one's an in-house signature dish. An egg tossed rice accompanied with a thick egg based gravy containing carrots, bell peppers, cabbage and scallions. Large portion size. Must try. P.S. this one's not on the menu and made on request.
Volcano Fish (₹200) - A twist to the standard chilli fish with a thick egg based gravy, chopped coriander and chilli oil. A bit too much batter on the fresh fish. Mildly spicy. Large portion size.
Must tries here include Prawn and Mutton Biriyanis, Paneer Butter Masala, Chilli Egg, Chicken Tikka, Paneer Tikka, Chilli Mushroom amongst others.
Service has improved greatly in recent months with the introduction of a few new waiters/staff. Ambience is good enough with an open kitchen to peep at while waiting for your order. Order completion was quick. Seating was adequate. A good family restaurant in the neighbourhood also frequented by students, large crowds.
Total Bill:- ₹891/- including GST of ₹42.45/-
The must try dish is chicken lollipop, recommend to all who are foodie. Ambience is good, food is good, service is ok... Price is quiet affordable...
This is a beautiful resturant. I loved the food here. Their butter garlic nun is a must try. And the hospitality is worth praising. The quantitiy of Kadai mutton was very good. Looking forward to to visit again. And and. Aso your pocket wont burn. :D
We as a group of 15 were 'Track'ed down for lunch today.. At first, no problem with Parking since this place is exact opposite to Kotturpuram Railway station.. Place with nice ambience but could have been improved further. Not much crowded at that time and Service was quick. Ordered Tandoori chicken, Fish fingers, Cauli flower Manchurian, Veg balls, Masala Naan, Egg, Chicken and Mutton briyani.. Tandoori was well cooked and the flavors went well with juicy chicken. Fish finger with Mayonnaise is my favorite. Naan wise, everything tasted good.. Biriyani is also well cooked.. overall, a nice place to hang out for heavy lunch..!!
Nice ambience and friendly staff. Good for groups. Food is good and dishes like Noodles and Fried rice is a little below average. Non Vegetarian dishes are excellent. Desserts are little over priced and I don't recommend desserts here. For Vegetarians, I would recommend you to try Five Jewel Fried rice. The dishes are decently priced. Overall a good restaurant.
convenient location, just near kotturpuram railway station. food is good, i wont say terrific. but the butter chicken there is so amazing! and also huge in quantity. the Chinese food is okayish. one should try the ice cream and north Indian food there.
A really nice place always crowded we went for team lunch , good option of food varieties the service is need to little bit gear up else the ambience , taste of the food ,the hospitality which the should be there that they has ,as per rating

It's a joint not easily visible. This has to be broadcast through word-of-mouth and it's a place for normal non veg dining. Veg varieties do exist but not much. Quantity given is good; quality is ok. Ambience is bormal
A good restaurant for a fine lunch/dining experience. Moderate pricing and taste also seemed to be good at such medium pricing. They provide huge quantity at such affordable price and that is why this place is actually very much crowded during weekends. Ambience is great and can give a try if you want to try a different hotel.
Highly economical, just the sort of place to go when you are broke. I didn't even know that this place existed, until a friend who had dropped by said that we should try the food from here.
So we went ahead and rushed to this place which is just about 10 minutes away.
Ambience wise, there isn't much to talk about, just your everyday restaurant.
Ordered their chilly beef, beef pepper fry - both the beef dishes were absolute stunners. Super spicy and the morsels of beef cooked just right were almost melting in our mouth.
The Ra-Ra chicken which apparently their speciality was top class too. A tad bit too spicy though.
The garlic butter naan was kadak and just the way i like it.
Easy on your pockets absolute VFM.
Have to say this one is gud for all non veg lovers, specially to hangout wit your frnds.
Location is not a good choice but fine.
Food is really really good, have tried most of the starters chilly beef, chicken, dragon prawn, mutton fry, fish fry etc

We ordered home delivery. It was fast and packing was great. Food was burning hot, so it was a pleasure to eat it. We ordered Chicken Butter Masala and Butter Naan. It was delicious. Prawn Fry was passable, and Egg Fried Rice was great! Only thing is, the food wasn't particularly having the 'woah' factor. Total bill came up to Rs. 590, shared by us three girls. The quantity in rice and prawn was too much. We struggled to finish it all. Overall a great experience. I'm definitely planning to order again here!

The best Rada Chicken I've ever had. The naans and and other chicken dishes are also very good. With me being a student of Madras School of Economics, which is only 2 Km away from this place, this place has fed us for nights.
The chinese choupsey was nice as well.
we had some fish tikka, chicken 65, fish fingers, fried rice and mutton briyani. The food was quite good for the price especially their briyani!
hygiene food great service ? love it keep it up.....mostly in this place Chinese and Indian kebabs favorite..good guys keep it up
Visited here for lunch
The quality of food has improved a lot.
We ordered Thai fried rice, chicken shezwan fried rice and chicken biryani at the beginning itself, because we were too damn hungry and didn't have the patience to order soups and starters :P.Everything tasted good. Bartha la jawab tasted too good, one of the must trys here, garlic Naan and paneer kulcha tasted good and was crispy
Overall a good experience :)
Went to the Track for a late evening dinner, it had a mixture of mediocre to great tasting food, the ambiance was fine but nothing great about it.
We had #sweet corn veg soup,# cream of chicken soup, #murg malai kabab,# track spl noodles,# masala kulcha and #chicken biriyani.
The spl noodles and masala kulcha were great and the kabab was good , the soups and biriyani were a let down.
Track holds out as a decent place.
With the best crispy beef I've ever had, and a variety of Chinese dishes that never fail to sate my palate, this is a must try for those in the adyar area looking for a quick bite of sumptuous food at economical prices.
Awesome place to dine and enjoy with friends . The food is pretty good and the cost is also decent . uber cool ambience. Looking forward to going there again 😍👌
This was the restaurant which I was trying to find out . I was here 3 years back on a hot summer . I faintly remember what v had . but I l never forgot malai kofta . from that day I have a become a huge fan for malai kofta. I don't ve any clue about other dishes . waiting to binge on malai kofta curry soon .

The track is one of the restaurants that every student who has his/her school/college in it's vicinity would know like the back of their hand. On almost 6 out of 10 occasions when a group of friends in this locality plan for a quick lunch , a late-night dinner or a birthday treat , the track would be the word on everyone's mouth.
I personally feel that the menu has a such a wide variety of items that you name any thing and it's there on the chart . More importantly, the quantity of food offered here (the gravy and the rice varieties in particular) , believe you me, is just phenomenal. That justifies the fact that the items are offered at slightly a higher price than its counterparts.
What I feel is the USP of this place is that it offers the ideal choice of food for every situation that a foodie might find himself in. Whether you are in for a complete 4-course meal ( Soup,Starter,Main-Course,Desert) , or at a time when you crave for a quick but filling meal ( just a few naans , any gravy of your choice and a drink would do ), or if you just wanna cool off on a hot afternoon ( the cool cleopatra presents itself .Voila!) , you will leave the track with a smile on your face.
On the whole,

The name is so suitable as it is near the railway station and the ambience is so good here. The service is also so good. The taste of the food is so good and worth for the money. Especially, the biriyanis like veg biriyani and egg biriyani is so good. Worth for your money.
I like the place for its ambiance and service. Very well maintained. This is the place we go often during our college days and also whenever we, friends, meet at our college.
Very good place for a team lunch or a friends get together lunch.
Cost is as high as any such restaurant. Wide varieties. Good quality of food. The waiting time will be longer even if the restaurant is not so full of half empty.
Must visit for Anna University students ;-)
To reach this place is like an experience as u need to drive through dark places via Gandhinagar or via Canal Bank road. Decent ambience and good food for less money. Absolutely worth it , especially if ur a college student.
I have been to this wonderful place many times and I love the ambiance and the delicious food served here. Food is very delicious and mouth watering. quality and quantity wise its value for money. The service is quick so that you dont have to wait long to eat :)Food quality : 5/5Price: 5/5 Ambiance : 4.5/5 Specials that i loved: Dragon chicken, Ra Ra Chicken, Lovely Chicken
Gud place for alacart food. Price wil b 120 -250 ₹ .briyani is nice over der n pepper chicken n chicken. Bbq was good bt spicy too. Bt desert won't b nice no worth for money .
Bt rest is good for 2 person it wil com 750-1000 .
We wanted a non veg caterer for an event and one of our friend suggested this restraunt......The food was good....for startets we ordered chicken tikka and chilli chicken...Tikka was really good and chilliy chicken was decent....For the main course, we ordered butter chicken and chicken hydrabadi....both were fine..And we ordered chicken biryani which was really good....we also tried chicken panjabi and chicken lollypop.....I recommend everyone to try chicken lollypop and chicken tikkas!!.....We ended up finalizing this caterer....And the best thing was we got all the food for FREE!!!
I have been to this place a lot of times with my friends. This place is opposite to kotturpuram station and it is right in front of you once you exit. They have a lot of varieties in vegetarian curries and starters. My friends loved the ra ra chicken at thisplace. Me and my other friend, being vegetarians, we were kinda jealous of everyone making the mmmmmm sounds while eating their dish. We checked with them if they have a ra ra vegetarian curry and they said they can make it for us. They made a ra ra paneer and it was really mmmmmm ( just like my other friends said it would be ).
The ambience is okay. You have decent tables, chairs and sofas. The restro is spacious enough considering the amount of crowd that visits the place and the location of the restro: I mean to say we never had to wait even without booking a table.
The service is also pretty decent. The prices are reasonable too.
Please do not try their indo Chinese or continental dishes: not their specialty, but they do make some luscious north Indian and tandoori dishes.
Must try dishes : track garlic soup, tandoori aloo Gobi, ra ra chicken, ra ra paneer(not in the menu but you can do some.. What do you call it.. 'Jugaad';) and request them ) , paneer labadhar, dal tadka, dal makhni( you can simply order dal tadka and some plain rice with papad. The best dal tadka I have tasted in Chennai).

I've been to this place innumerable times and ordered another innumerable times. You could easily locate it, standing right in front of Kotturpuram station. You HAVE to try Ra Ra Chicken and chicken lollypop. Their quantity is great. Paneer butter masala is another epic preparation. Avoid the garlic naan though. You could also try their chocolate shake. Overall, one of my favorite places for cheap north Indian.
For the money you pay , a place worth a shot for an outing.
Nice place to visit. Tasty Chinese food must visit place. My favourite is chicken noodles and wonton, awesome biriyani must have in this place.
Best place for budget meal ! We usually visit this place when we have limited amounts in our pockets ! For the money u pay, they serve real good yum food ! Adding to it, ur tummy also gets full by the tym u finish ur meal :) ambience is pakka decent and serves as a bonus !

Epic scenes ! Great ambience ! Lighting that was needed ! Awese DJ ! A night that to be well spent is definitely gonna be in QBar ! Seatings could have been more ! But otherwise roof top makes the whole difference !
Decent ambience. Very reasonable pricing. Good place to have a casual meal. I had vegetarian food. The rice item wasn't as good as the north Indian food.
From the house of the famous Faithfully Yours, Adyar this restaurant still carries the excellent taste of it's past. A good place for a sudden unplanned dinner or a take away if you are around Adyar, kotturpuram area. Their chilli/ garlic beef is a must try asking with their Chinese main courses.
Best place to host a treat , Especially to a larger crowd. The food is also pretty decent . Price is well within the affordable range. Starters are very good . Finger fish is a must. Rice varieties are decent. Overall can expect a contended meal !!
The best hangout place near by. ... Delicious ???? specially the tandoori ones. ..????????????
Good restaurant in Adyar area.. Taste of every food are excellent.. Appearance of restaurant is ok.. Can improve to some extent like working TV.. Other thing need improvement is they take some time to prepare our ordered dish.. Food is not hot & served..
Perfect place to go when your pockets are virtually empty but you're hungry. Satisfactory food. Veggies wouldn't like it as much as the non-veggies though. I'd give it a 4 if it was more consistent. That's the only concerning thing. That too only the subjis. The lamb dishes and hariyali chicken tikka are a must. No complaints as far as the service is concerned. Ambience isn't bad either. Overall, 3.5 and a very good place to treat a big number of friends.
Whenever I wanna give treat to quite large number of people, this place will knock my mind first. The environment inside the restaurant is very spacious and good. The lightings is the another good thing. Dishes are quite decent with decent prices. Especially in the dessert part, try not to miss the honeymoon delight. That large scoops and more nuts :* . Don't go for falooda, you'll regret. Otherwise, Congo !!!
The place wr v can hve a nice food around kotturpuram.... Moreover fine hospitality
It's is the best restratant In Kotturpuram in taste as well as quantity. ......
Awesome North Indian food - check.
Awesome quantity - check.
Friendly to the wallet - check.
I went here with two of my friends for dinner one night. This place is very easy to find right outside the Kotturpuram railway station. We ordered masala papad, two butter rotis, two plain rotis, one chili garlic naan, two missi rotis, one dal tadka and one veg la jawab. Guess how much the whole thing came to? A little over 450. Isn't that awesome?
Now that I've written about it, it's made me hungry and I'm going to go back there this week and try more food!
A typical fast food restaurant with AC . Plus is that they have multiple cuisines.:P
The ambiance is good as the food. Worth spending the money. Quality and quantity is there. , must try out the tandoori platter And garlic chicken !!!! Perfect place for a night out with ur buddies !! Considering the economic rates!!!!!
It was very easy to reach Kotturpuram Railways station. Then it took us some tome to figure out The Track. There was no name board in English. Somehow looking at the figure of railway track we assumed that we reached the right place.
The external look was not that pleasing, but trust me - our opinion changed when we entered. Very good ambiance.
Next talking about food. Menu is quite descent. Waiter was not in mood or had less knowledge, did not show any interest to explain what few spl. names meant and was in urgent in taking order.
Service was quick and good.
Took soup and starters, both were good and hot.
Main course was also good.

Track was introduced to me by my seniors in college. All we knew before we went was that it was just another restaurant; it’s the nearest “better quality” restaurant around our college where you should go when you want a change from the monotonous mess food.
But only after I started going there I realized the value of Track. It indeed serves good quality food.
Food –
The best item on the menu has to be the Ra-ra Chicken. From presentation to taste, it’s impeccable! Served in slightly tangy gravy along with tomatoes and one boiled egg, this sticky chicken dish tastes good with both bread and rice. A must-try on the menu.
The best rice item is the Cashew Pulao. Other fried rices are good enough.
All naan-s and kulcha-s and rotis are really good, but if you have an inclination towards sweeter items, Kashmiri Naan is the best choice.
Mughlai Chicken is another favourite of mine. But Chicken Shahi Kurma didn’t delight me at all.
All Chinese Chicken dishes are too good but the best is Garlic Chicken.
The Daal Makhani and Daal Tadka are always just perfect.
The desserts are worth trying, specially the drinks. Coke Float is heavenly!
Service – I am a regular customer and have always experienced friendly and quick service.
Prices – With decent quantities, most dishes are appropriately priced.
Ambience – Nice and cosy. :)
Final Verdict – Thumbs up!
Been to track like a million times and this place never disappoints me. Foods are quite good and reasonably priced. If your are going to treat a huge crowd, this is the place to be. Bang for your BUCK !
The Track was one place where I used to go with my friends when we wanted to escape out the food offered at the institute. The restaurant’s ambiance and decor is decent. I found the waiters courteous and prompt. The only reason I have rated this just above average because the food quality and has deteriorated over time. They used to offer great food at reasonable prices when it was initially opened. I liked the spicy fried paneer, gobi munchurian among starters. For main course I would recommend jeera rice, mutton rogan josh, chicken kali mirchi and kadai chiken that I found decent enough. I would advise people to avoid butter chicken masala. I do hope that they improve the quality.
Ambiance-Good
Service- Good
Food-Average
Price-Good
i have been to track on multiple occasions.
Firstly, The food is totally worth the price i really liked the place.
The ambiance is is quite pleasant.
Its pretty easy to reach.
The variety of food choices is good and i would gladly keep going back to track.
This restaurant is situated near AU and IIT-M. So a constant hang-out spot for ppl from these universities. The prices are reasonable and the ambience is great. The music is sometimes great and sometimes it pisses us off. Makkai harabhara is one of my favourites here.
It's been so long I went here in person and had food as we generally order in. Of course vegetarians love this place and the food is quite good and they have great variety. The North Indian Thali was quite nice - we had mostly north Indian food this time but all of their food is nice in general. The main problem is parking here as during peak hours, there is a lot of rush and though there is valet, it takes time. Service was good and fast
Good food with service and ambience. Visited on Saturday,
They had live music (old Tamil songs) 👏👏👏👌👍.
It was a lovely evening and a good experience.
Panner tikka was yummy. Kadai paneer was good, butter roti was a bit more oily, methi roti on the other hand was a tad too dry.
Limited meals were decent.
We were there for the Onam Sadhya on the 29 th and thoroughly loved it.
Waited upon by a gentleman, who seemed like the owning family by the way he hosted, our Sadhya was a culinary delight.
There was a delectable variety of dishes and he explained each preparation and broadly what it contained.
Delicious, fulfilling and so authentic. It was a one of a kind Onam Sadhya.
For the offering, it s very reasonably priced. We chose this Sangeetha Sadhya over some give star hotel invitations we had and enjoyed it so much!
Busy place. Had breakfast - Puri Vada curry must try. Nice taste
Great Veg food. Both South Indian and North Indian food. Super fast service. Even after 1st day of cyclone impact they serve the very best hot idli, idiyappam. Dosa varieties.
Excellent, tasty food. We had the thali meal which had a lot of variety with both North and South Indian dishes. Service was prompt and courteous. We had to wait for about 10 min to get seated on a busy Sunday morning which wa not bad at all.
Had food many times in this restaurant and it has a good ambience, Both North and South Indian Foods are sooo good and must try place. For Lunch Meals are best option. My favourite food is Paneer tikka and their biryani. Their biryani quantity is more and even two people can eat it. Overall I loved it

Good musical on Friday Saturday and Sunday. Very good food and prices are high now but it's okay for the food taste...👍💫
Taste was very yummy must try their starters and specials. I feel that the price for falooda is higher rest every thing is good 👍
Foods are really delicious! Though I have tried one item (Poori with veg) price- 95 rupee
But hopefully others items are good as well. Bengali should try this restaurants.
Authentic taste that feels just like home for sure, almost always heavily crowded so you might need to adjust seat with someone else if you are alone. Usually not a big fan of crowded space so not a big fan of the atmosphere.
One of the best restaurant for anytime meal. Had lunch there with family. Loved it and the service was very good. The food was hot and freshly prepared. We had north Indian thaali. So First started with soup and 1 papad. Then our lunch came n thaali had enough food to fill our tummy full. Price was adequate. Later mom and dad had tea and I had watermelon juice.
No regrets with this restaurant. Fully satisfied.
Absolutely satisfying and very tasty food. I still remember the pongal I had 15 or 20 years before, and it remains the same. Excellent sambaar. Saravana bhavan and sangeetha are the best, but now Sangeetha stands up on top at its best. I miss saravana bhavan, but Sangeetha never disappointed me.
Hats off to the Chef. Best vegetarian food restaurant in Adyar. Easy to find street side parking. You have the option to choose A/c or non A/c rooms or family or common dining area. Good elevator system makes things easier. Great staff with excellent customer service. Food was prepared perfectly to give the right consistency. Sambar mini idly was yummy. Right spice.
Gobi 65 was amazing. Baby corn was crunchy and juicy, இடியாப்பம் was soft and smooth. Must try vegetarian restaurant in the city.
I love the food quality, taste, hygiene and the service provided by this restaurant. Whenever I visit Chennai, for once I shall come here. Cofee, vada, vajji was super.
I am very much impressed with this hotel. First, the lunch for Rs. 160 is a good here and you get enough rice with sambar, rasam kootu, vathakulabu, sanji, curd, buttermilk etc. along with payasam and big appalam. The sambar idly with ghee is great and is also a good option, available most of the times...the rates, quality and quantity for all items are good and enjoy eating here. Good family option for all.
Food was good in taste nothing to complaint.
Great service team.
