Nice and tasty rolls. Recommended.
Ordered a paneer tikka roll. Delivery was on time. Paneer was soft. The roll was very tasty. Overall a decent roll for the price.
Cheap and best place to have rolls.
Service is little slow.
It's a small place and just 3 - 4 seats are kept.
My personal favourite ones are panner tikka roll, Irani panner roll, baby corn manchurian, Paratha combo, naan / parathacombo and chilli baby corn chowmein.

Hygiene is a big issue here, nothing much to tell it needs lot of improvement.
Don't miss out the ice pan next to the joint.
Located very close to my hang out place....decided to try them...the place itself is always crowded as there are quite a few local eateries around the shop. People must prefer for a take away if you mind eating on the streets as it is located in one. One good roll is enough to fill a hungry stomach. The taste is also good...with varieties of rolls to choose for your liking. Cost is also very reasonable. Nice place to hangout with your friends.
This was such a gem in Chennai! I happened to come across them on Zomato and decided to take a chance. I was obsessed after the first roll! They were so affordable and absolutely mouth watering! I could not stop eating just one! I really wished they were in Mumbai too!
I remember having: Paneer Roll, Chicken Roll, Malai Paneer Roll, Chatpatta Aloo Roll, and Chilly Paneer Roll.
They have a huge variety of rolls to choose from ! I chose the malai chicken ! It was a perfect roll with a good amount of filling and had ketchup, onions, chilli & mayo along with the malai chicken ! Filling and worth the price! Will definitely go back to try the other ones !
A small shop tucked in a corner of the street. Name heard in Chennai. After a good wait of 15 minutes due to rush, we got our double chicken rolls and mix vegetable roll. First bite...it was yummy till the last onion. Great taste. Place is hygienic too. Value for money
All the wraps were perfect and well presented.
Chicken Malai Roll - The wrap was a typical maida based one and the filling was so juicy, spicy and kinda sweet because of the sauce.
Chicken Nawabi Roll - Almost dry and tasted like a kebab inside the wrap. Spicier than the former but nothing special on the whole.
Anda Chicken Roll - This one was a good fusion with the taste of both egg and chicken. It was saucier than the Nawabi but wasn't the spiciest of all.
IMO, the prices were a tad higher considering the filling and the size of the roll. But, with offers available in every nook and corner it was worth a shot.
This place is basically a fast food type joint. Waiting type shouldn't be a problem. Located in the heart of the city, it would be jam-packed in peak hours.
Kati roll shop is famous for there rolls and kabab.
Food:
You will find a wide variety of veg and non veg rolls over here,
Ambience:
It’s a take away restaurant, you’d not find a place to dine.
Overall a nice place to be..
Kati Roll shop is located bang on Cathedral Road at Gopalapuram💯 Amazing location. Perfect spot for you if you love rolls🙈 Pocket friendly prices, amazing taste and a peaceful place to go to and eat along with friends🔥❤️ The lassis are also amazing🙈

I'm a regular at the Kati roll shop and my favorite is hands down the Malai paneer roll made with wheat paratha! The Malai lassi in the tall matka glasses are something you cannot miss while at the Kati roll shop.
Although it's just a small kiosk, you'd always see it crowded with customers.
The Kati roll shop delivery is my go to even at work !
If you are hungry and want to grab something on the go this one is the best place to have it......they have good varieties of rolls in veg and non veg categories. The taste of the rolls is too good for the cost paid......quality and quantity is also quite sufficient......over all worth to try here when you hang around this area.......
Please enable for zomato....sir....

Anything with Mayo at Kati Roll Shop is finger licking Goooood ❤️
The food was too good.... Loved it....
The rolls were good but I was to receive ice tea that never came. And I had no way of contacting anyone to let them know.
Delivery was prompt. Just the rolls. No extra- sauce or anything.
correct time delivery to compare to the other like swigy, and the staff it's very incridible,i liked type of guy,so my suggestion it's provide some gift to that staff,Mr.Yuraj
Took away the Veg paneer roll. Loved the quality of the paneer. The spices was well marinated and worth the price. Also the quantity of the roll is good compared to other places. Will surely recommend.
Delicious, spoilt for choice and fabulous service!
Good value for money. The chicken tikka rolls continue to be my favourite. It’s a great option for a quick snack or a light meal
Best Kati Rolls I’ve tasted in Chennai. Catchy name, brilliant staff. Overall, definitely a really good service, bang for the buck. Will be back real soon!
Lovely food. Lipsmacking veg rolls. The roll shop reminds me of Anamika Kolkata. Would love to repeat my experience there. Even the Chinese dishes were cool. For the price it's an apt joint. Fast food great service
The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it. My favorites here are egg roll, seekh roll, and keema roll.
Great food. Loved it always.....being a Bong, the items render a nostalgic feeling about Kolkata....the price tag is also not much and the service is awesome.....
Best Kati Rolls!!! Being a calcutta boy rolls have been a staple diet for years and this is by far the best I have ever had. The spices are intoxicating and hits the taste bud in the correct manner, whenever I travel to Chennai I have to make a pitstop here. it has become sort of a ritual.
One of the most authentic Kathi rolls you can get, scrumptious bites loaded with stuffing. One can easily call this a meal on the go as they do not compromise on the size/quantity bit. I guess they have a very good source on the spices as one being a foodie would really know the flavours and this is bang on the mark. I have had their Aloo paneer Kathi and personally it hits the sweet spot (sweet as in the feeling not flavour) . Whenever in town must try one for sure.
Thank you guys for such a lovely experience.
Kudos!
not hot.... they are folding and delivering...going lazy
Delicious rolls and really yum. Combo is awesome
Good food and delivered on time.
Best place for rolls in Chennai!! My favourite is hot garlic paneer roll. In other branches, this roll is not available at times. Reminds me of Kolkata rolls😍
This outlet is in gopalapuram .. outdoor no seating..
Good place for kebabs..
Suggestions: Try Chicken malai roll, chicken tikka roll, chicken sheek roll (best one).. extra mayo, extra cheese.. yummy 😋
Badam milk
Lassi- Kesar flavour (Do try)
excellent packing and delicious food 👍
The Kati rolls here are Desi. They are filled with our spices which makes it damn yum. Really good rolls to snack on, as they aren't that tummy filling.
One of My Favorite Small bite shop..
At times filling for light lunch..
Egg Mayo & Chicken are my favorite here..
Good Evening Snack & Hang Place with Friends..
There's a Pan Shop right out of it which gives the perfect Finishing touch of the meal...
Really good place for budget but tasty food. All their kati rolls are wonderful. I am a huge fan of their paneer tikkas as well. They really acknowledge customer feedback like when they created a separate station for vegetarian food.
Got food home delivered from here. Order: egg cheese mayo roll. Absolutely tasty and reasonable pricing. Worth a try! A wide variety of combinations and tasty rolls.
The 1-line summary: Serves the best kati rolls in Chennai, authentic taste at a slightly expensive price, ideal for delivery/takeaway.
Kati roll shops are the Indian equivalent of McD/Subway: standardized ingredients, fast to prepare, and convenient as a quick bite to have on the go. And of late, there have been quite a few roll-only restaurants in Chennai. Tibbs frankie* was one of the earliest I can remember; since then we’ve had Bayleaf, Faasos and my favourite just for the cheekiest name - ‘Roll Baby Roll’ :-). Among this crowd, ‘The Kati Roll Shop’ at Gopalapuram stands out for its high quality & taste, and consistently maintaining both. (The Bayleaf OTG comes a close 2nd.)
On the ambience: I have mostly ordered online, but have visited the restaurant a couple of times - the place is quite small, and located in a smaller street with virtually no parking space. So I’d strongly recommend the takeaway/delivery option.
My favourites here are the egg rolls, keema rolls, & seekh rolls. They are prepared well, the taste is consistently excellent with just the right amount of spiciness; and matches the original taste of Calcutta rolls. They also have the healthier wheat option for a few extra bucks; most other places still serve only maida rolls. The packaging is done neatly, and the items taste good even if they go a bit cold.
The only negative: a few times when I ordered the chicken/mutton rolls, they had large, chunky meat pieces in the stuffing. You take a small bite, and end up biting off more you can chew (literally :-)). They need to cut the meat into smaller pieces for a roll stuffing. Occasionally I’ve also found the meat (especially mutton) to be chewy, which means it was not best quality meat. So, I mostly go for the keema & seekh varieties, where the meat is minced/grinded as part of the preparation.
The price is a bit expensive for a takeaway restaurant, a reduction by 10-15% would make it really value for money.
* I know, I know, frankies & rolls are NOT the same :-)
While searching for a quick bite around gopalpuram and hence we find out The Kati roll shop. It's tucked into the street. We've ordered Anda panner roll and Panner Tikka roll. Both the rolls are really yummy and juicy. It's one of the best rolls I've ate in chennai.

The Kati roll shop is famous among people for the juicy and succulent rolls which comes with your choice of meat or vegetables/ paneer. You also have options with cheese (and can add extra cheese 🧀😬). The parathas which are filled with the veggie options or meat variations are made in-house! So they are soft and flaky and they also have wheat parathas for the diet peeps!
My favourite is the malai Tikka and the chicken tikka. I love the chicken egg roll as well.
You should also try their kebabs 😍 and vegetarians always have loads of options here.
the food was tasty , but it would have been tastier if it was delivered hot.
A budget friendly place to hang out. The quantity is graceful for the price and served within a few minutes of time. The food was good, though.
Good small compact clean atmosphere with a wash basin too. Service mostly if you dine in is self serve or it takes time for the person as he looks most of the time towards his computer screen for online orders. Little bit costly adding taxes which is not shown in menu price of which is exclusive of gst
Portion of the food is good. And still they can improve the taste. As we tried only two varieties couldn't comment on their overall service. But pretty decent in my opinion.
My all time fav roll - ANDA Chicken Roll ❤️
Must Try One ..
1.Easy reachable place
2. Operating by north indians
3. Dishes are served with Tasty and good packing
4. Clean and neat
5. Prices are little high.
6. Prices are not affordable for regular snacks (for middle class )
7. They displayed scan and get offer but direct order is preferable
8. However Gobi manjurian roll tastes good
Cheap and best place to have rolls.
Service is little slow.
It's a small place and just 3 - 4 seats are kept.

After long time, i ordered through Zomato
I bought , Double panner tikka Roll
Fantastic taste and stuffings. Each bite we can feel big piece of panner. Packing was good and minimalistic
Rating 5/5
Kati roll is supposed to be a super fast street food essentially 7-10min i should get my food ..Well for starters it was delayed.
Payment
They should either collect it while taking orders or after the done -in guest finished his food.. Well I was asked when I had my 1st bite which I found uncomfortable..It was like you pay then eat the rest
Taste was good, Stomach filling as well 👍
Place to be for a kati roll...my new favorite.
It was good! Food was tasty ♥️✨
Great taste of the roll but the waiting time is a bit much. Less sitting space and the kitchen looks dirty probably something they should focus on.
This place has been serving delicious rolls for the past 8 years. The taste is still maintained the prices have gone up a bit but that’s worth it for the quality.
Small outlet.
I order for Masala Aloo Roll.
It was tasty, & also not very costly.
Apart from rolls, they have kebabs, chinese (noodles, fried rice), momos, soups in there menu.
They claim that they are open till 12 midnight.
Also deliver with Zomato.
My friends and I have been going here once in a while. The place is not bad at all. Looks clean, the maintenance shows, the food is likeable, and it's in a prime area.
If I were to give users a tip, check if you like the taste of the Iced Tea beverage before buying more than one.
Verdict : I'll definitely go again.
Good..need to visit again
