Been visiting this restaurant for more than 10 years. You can surely try any dish without hesitation. Their side dish quantity is huge. Biriyani is spicy but tastes great. Would suggest for a casual family dinner.
I love this place for its hygienic food and in very low price.The food which i order the most from here is #tandoorichicken #tandooriroti i am buying from there more than 8 years
Anchor restaurant has been one of my favourite restaurants from my childhood.I can have a lot of memories in this restaurant.
Food has been really excellent throughout the course I have been eating there.
The quantity of the food is enough for atleast 1 and a half person.
There has been some fluctuations in the quality of the food, but still those can be neglected.
If you are a chennaite you should really try food over here.

Great food.. ordered mutton biriyani, Schezwan mixed non veg fried rice, lollipop chicken and chicken manchurian..
Mutton Biryani - rice was over cooked, mutton was good, masala was heavy..
Schezwan mixed fried rice- was totally perfect but not that much spicy..
Lollipop chicken- it was saucy sweet and finger licking..
Chicken manchurian- chicken was over cooked and was rubbery.. taste was good..
Good place for North Indian and Chinese varieties.
Mutton Biriyani was very good. Just like home made.
Definitely a good place to try out. Zomato order was also on-time.

Hey! I've been going to this restaurant since I was 4 years old. I still go there and I'm 20 years old now. I just love everything about this hotel. The food, the ambience, you name it! It ravishes a vintage light setting and the oil paintings set on display that simply hypnotize your senses. The food is AMAZING. The quantity is pretty stomach filling as well. All in all, a wonderful place to spend your time with your family and friends. Enjoy hogging. :)
Hey guys this place is awesome . You can just go there and order anything and you will just love it. The quality and quantity of it is great the taste is so so so delicious and maybe the price is a little maybe a very little bit extra but worth for the taste so go ahead and try it.100% recommended

Went there with my colleague for lunch. Ambience is okay, nothing special. My colleague suggested their Dum Biriyani and we ordered two Mutton Biriyani's along with Chicken 65.Β The Biriyani was a bit lukewarm, not hot enough for me anyway. Side accompaniments include the bhaigan ka bharta and onion raitha. Portions were okay. Taste could have been better as towards the end, I felt it was a bit stale. Should have been warm to hot for serving.Β
The Chicken 65 was good and hot.
Service was quick and business-like which is not a bad thing if you are out for a working lunch. I have to say though, price was economical, but again, this should never be a reason for lukewarm food.
We were looking for am good veg treat. So we decided to give a try to anchor restaurant. The food level was good as expected. Mushroom biriyani,naan,paneer chettinad all were awe some.
Restaurant looks decent and food taste is great. No worries whatever you order, all the varieties tastes good. Service is good. Best restaurant for family and friends. Rate is moderate for the quality they give. I recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

This was the first restaurant i was taken to. Still now remains one of my fav place and holds huge memories of family gettogethers. One of the best and oldest non veg outlets in mogappair!!

This is one of the cheap and best restaurants in Mogappair. I've tried only home delivery, so nil experience about the ambience. They don't compromise you on taste and quantity. Though the packing comes in a foil cover, it is so fresh and cooked really well. Tried BLACK PEPPER FISH which is their best π , Chilly mutton, and reasonably priced one piece Tangri chicken and Schezwan egg fried rice. Quality of mutton is unexpectedly awesome. We loved it... !!!!!

All my friends and family celebrations, treats everything happens here.. Just 250 was enough for a person to have their meal then.
Would visit 2-3 times in a week. Just for the chicken briyani which they serve in a small copper kadaai and the bowl full of raithaa they give.
Chicken/gobi manchurian was my fav dish here back then.. Would say the quality has reduced so much compared to those days..
However u had to wait in queue for a sunday lunch here...so dont forget to make a booking before you drop on sundays π
One of budget hotels in mogappair... This place is located in a quiet neibourhood and one can easily miss it... Ambience and Service is okayish considering the light crowd they have...
Have tried Punjabi chicken, American chopsuey, masala Kulcha and Gobi Manchurian... The Kulcha and chopsuey have been my personal favorite... One can easily give Punjabi chicken a miss considering it is too thick and overpowered by too much of spices...
Overall a good restaurant which is pocket friendly...
One of the very old non veg outlet in Mogappair area..... Very gud taste.... I have tasted the food from my college days.... Still they are doing well in taste and service.

A true family restaurant as they say! Have been dining here for ages. This time tried out their delivery service. Got the food delivered in 45 mins. Food was hot and tasty as always. Extremely satisfied with the delivery too!! π

Paneer briyani- This is the nth time we tried and never once disappointed. Best panneer briyani I have ever had.π
Babycorn Hong Kong style- sweet and spicy version. Good, though we felt babycorn could have been more tender.

This is one favourite restaurant right from my childhood. Serves us hot tasty and quality food. The best thing I like here is the service, Ambience and the Soups and Chilli chicken there.
The place is quiet big. We often visit here as a family. Starters for a start are of various varieties and yes, tasteful. I would order Chinese chopsuey when I go there. It really does taste spectacular. It doesn't punch you with flavours but serves you with pleasure. Biryani is the highlight I would state. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Dragon chicken and Dragon fish find themselves often in our bill.
Anchor ll always be one of my favorite restaurants as in for lunch and dinner. The ambience is really good and accommodates a lot of people providing good Food and service with a nominal amount of money.
Anchor briyani is the best always.
Mixed fried rice wasn't my favorite here as it was sweet and not what I expected.
The Tandoori was really nice and yum and the Mutton balls also was a hit for me.
I liked the butter Naan and Mutton gravy but the chicken gravy was even more sweeter.
Both the American and Chinese Chopusey was good too.
The Mutton soup was so tasty than the chicken clear soup I ordered.
Service was good.
Overall the place is real good to have lunch and dinners with family, friends etc. Paying not more than the worth.
One of the best restaurant in Mogappair. Love the dedication of service. The tandoori chicken butter Masala and the wheat paratha are really great. It is very cost efficient as well.
Nice taste and quantity.but over spicy and must reduce masala taste.and must have drumstick chicken and garlic chicken is too bad.plsssssssssssssssss don't buy garlic chicken

One of those restaurants that I remember right from my childhood. Probably the only one in the restaurant category that is been significantly present over such a long time. ππ

# Butter Naan - a not the best but definitely not the worst types. The bread was bit chewy but taste wise it was good. ππβ

The gobi was well cooked. A not too spicy gravy but yet flavourful and what more when it is served hot ? ππ I had few Spoonfuls without any breads π

The ambiance isn't so very attractive. The service seemed to be so lethargic at the start but once when the orders were placed, the service seemed prompt.
As my friend remembered his memories, the noise of the staff shouting in the kitchen was still there even now as it was years ago ππ

One of the oldest restaurants in this area. Good ambience. Generous portions of food. Great taste. But.... the price and waiting period are not ok. Good place to have a quiet evening meal with friends and family

Worth the price of money.. enjoyed well. Initially Butter milk was full of only water later advised them to bring again they provided good tasty Butter milk. Tandoori with mayon was excellent taste . π
They have nothing much to offer as regards ambience or elegance, but the quality and taste here is first rate. That theyβve been able to maintain consistency over the years is also noteworthy. Together with this, thereβs good service from warm and unpretentious attendants. You may want to consider this restaurant for a hearty meal.

Located in residential area of Mugappair East. South Indian, North Indian and Chinese food available and it exist for a long period with regular customer base from that region.
Service is also good. Its one of the restaurant you can dine with family comfortably.
I love this restaurant. I have been coming here again and again, at least once every week since I was a child. The food here is amazing. The ambience and the decor are so nice. But in all honesty, it's nothing compared to what it was before. Such a lovely restaurant that is suited for every occasion.
