This place is always buzzing. Parking may be an issue as the restaurant is situated between other popular brand stores, and the road is rather small. Look nowhere if youโre looking for traditional South Indian breakfast, or for some evening coffee. You may have to move around, get your table and food. Expect a fast moving crowd. Go there if your intention is to have food.
One of the best South Indian Food I have ever had!

Best tomato soup in chennai. Loved their vegetable biriyani. Fried rice was not that good . Boondi raitha was good with cashew and peanuts

I have been coming here for over 15years and this is our go to family restraint, serving best quality and fresh pure veg food in the town, their filter coffees are a balm to the soul. Makes any day good-one filter coffee!!
This place is one of our get together place for several years. Surprised to see that I haven't reviewed it till now. This place is easy to locate. Parking is available in front of restaurant. If full, can manage in roadside of service road. Ambiance is simple and decent. Service is good. Food ordered came in reasonable time.
In our recent visit, I had palak soup, babycorn Manchurian, honey chilli Gobi, methi roti, kadai vegetable and lemon ๐ salt soda. Tastewise everything is good. Pricing is reasonable. Value for money ๐ฐ.
We have been visiting this place for almost 10 years now and we have completely settled for sangeetha's good food. Making a comparison across their own branches in the city, I personally feel that this branch (Adyar) serves better food than the rest.
The ambience is subtle and restaurant servers are polite. This place has never lost its popularity even after multiple restaurants coming up in neighbourhood.
A big thumbs up and cheers to their good work!!
Our favourite spot for dosas and Pongal and all their amazing food. Excellent sambar..flavourful and full of small onions and vegetables. Fabulous chutneys..only wish that they serve all 3 chutneys with everything..coconut, onion and mint. Oh and wish they would open an outlet in Bengaluru!!!
On the outskirts of Chennai while driving to pondy we stopped at this place for bf. Run of the mill place. Nothing like authentic South Indian except the chutneys and Kappi (filter coffee).
We had dosa, idli and Medha wada. All were good
I had been to this restaurant of a different branch when travelling to Chennai. As I knew this gives very tasty and good food, blindly without a second thought I opted for this while I stayed in Adyar for couple of days. There is a branch in Adyar which is close to shastry nagar.
As expected food was very tasty and staff was very polite.
We ordered tomato soup,masala papad,dal methi,naan,gobi Manchurian.
They provide a snack for all the tables before delivering food.
Little improvement could be made in salad and masala papad, they give only onions.Cucumber and tomato along with lemon could be inlcuded.
MASALA papad was a little oily with huge price.Like it was 60Rs.I felt that wasn't worth of !!!
Rest others were fine and a decent good place in Chennai to visit for veggies apart from Adyar Anand bhavan :-)
Food: 4/5
Ambience :4/5
Vfm : 4/5
I have ordered ghee dosa. Taste is really good. But dosa is small compare to other shops. Sambar not enough.we can eat to taste. Chutney also good to taste.
#vegfinedining
Ordered:
1. Tamil Nadu Meals
2. Limited meals
3. Kids Meal
Ambience is good in the AC hall above without the hustle and bustle of downstairs. Service and responsiveness by assistants are good.
Tamil Nadu meal is a big spread starting from soup to final fruit salad ice cream dessert.
The taste is standard Sangeetha taste.
If you are hungry and want to have veg lunch, try Tamil Nadu meal.
I must say of all the mini tiffins i had in premier veg hotels in chennai sangeetha stands out, completely worth the money, mini masala dosai will be so fresh, same goes for rest of the items in mini tiffin.
I had been here for lunch . Ordered two tamilnadu meals and one North Indian meals . I had a Bangladeshi cum Canadian guest with me . She loved most of the dishes served in the meals . It was very delicious . The North Indian thali has paeer tikka with mint chutney , three variety of side dish for butter roti . I had a big glass of butter milk. The plating was very good . A good meal for a decent price with good interiors .
Right on the 1st main road in Gandhi nagar very noticeable and outstanding with its huge and vibrant colours.
staff are very professional and organised.
good service. BUT i hated the fact that theyre always in a rush as if they expect us to leave within 10 minutes. these tactics to accomodate as many customers as possible in a day was very disappointing.
filter coffee was great. rava dosa was above average. the bombay styled paneer was amazing really fresh. I feel the crispy honey gobi is overrated.
The place had a decent ambience and good seating arrangement. The locality was good too. Staff was kind and courteous. We ordered ghee idli which was great and absolutely loved it. We also ordered masala dosa and rava onion masala dosa and they were great too. They had this awesome fragrance of ghee coming from the diwas which was a delight to eat๐๐
The chutneys with the dosa were great and tasted really good. Why don't these food joints open in North and mid west India. These places are soo great that they are definitely gonna do extraordinary business and definitely be a feast happening placeee๐๐
Looking for a good veg food whether it be South Indian or North, they have it covered. The food and service is really good - the crowd proves that. I would say this branch stands on top when compared to other outlets of their. At times parking is full - donโt worry within 50-100m you can park on the side roads and walk.
Sangeetha - A well known place in chennai.Today i went to Adyar outlet for Evening snacks. Guess what i found "Dahi Bhalle Papdi Chaat". I mean getting this in chennai is unbelievable. Immediately i asked them to pack this one
Taste 4/5 . I was expecting little more dahii.
Quantity 5/5 .
Price - Okay for me because it is cheaper than delhi. :P
I was so eager to eat it that could not click the pics properly. :P
Ordered Paneer Tikka from Sangeetha Adyar. Awesome taste. Liked the masala spread on it. Loved the way it was packed and sent. Delivered in time. Good service. Thanks.
I have been here for breakfast countless times. Mostly a standard menu of #MasalaDosa #GheePodiDosa #Idly and #FilterKaapi. The food always tastes good. I am partial to their crispy podi dosa served with Sambar and 3 chutneys. Like the spicey red chutney. Somehow it's different from what is served in their other branches. Ideal for a relaxed breakfast. For lunch, I have tried their Veg Thali. From A la carte we tried rice, tandoori roti, dal makhni, curd and butterscotch falooda. All were yummy. There is always a decent crowd. Service is hygienic and timely.
Ambience 4/5
Hygiene 5/5
Food quality & taste 5/5

Overall I would say 92% :-) And yes, its on my permanent top 10 favourites :P
Good restaurant and good food. But many times we have to wait so long for others to finish. And food parcel also takes long.
Have to wait for good food......
The place is always jam packed, there may be a waiting in order to get seat in the open area.
They have AC service on first floor.
Ordered north Indian food which was well cooked and tasted really great.
The service is good. Pricing is alright. Value for money.
Planning to eat south indian food in Chennai? yes, this is the place for you guys. This restaurant is located in adyar in Gandhi nagar. This place has pretty good name in Chennai and is famous for its south indian food. The place is usually crowded but it is worth the wait. They always have something or the other in the "todays special menu". When ever you go there you have to try it out. When I went over here they had a few special items like adai avial, vendeyam dosa etc. You would have not hear these ever in many south indian fast food outlets. I tried these two and also the dosa, my all time favourite. They serve the food in disposable banana leaf. The food is really good over here. I also tried the rasmilai over here. This is was the most delicious dish for my day. I loved it to the core. The rasmilai is just too soft like a baby's cheeks. I had a great time over here. this is a perfect hangout spot with your friends and family. The old people in your family will love this place.
Ordered a mini meals.
Sambar rice was too good. And all other things in the meal was also good except the raita.
Curd rice could have been little more tasty. It was blunt.
Love the food here..the masala dosa and filter coffee is the best combination I feel.
A little too pricy compared to other restaurants thou.
One place that is always crowded and takes few minutes to get yourself seated. But the wait is worth it. Best place to have south Indian food. Do check out their daily specialities.
They dont have a great ambience, but it's the best place to get your south indian comfort food on a tiring day.
Been visiting this branch for the past 10 years and it never gets boring.
Went for lunch and had Tamil Nadu meals. It was just worth the price and taste! Quantity of food was sufficient. All the items were pretty testy.
Food was delivered before expected time
The best outlet of Sangeetha in Chennai, offering quality south indian food at affordable price. Would recommend this place for breakfast and snacks.
Great Taste and delivered in time which is most important for food stuffs . Scope of improvement is always there . I would have preferred some sweets which could be added in the meal with some additional cost .
Try out Sangeetha Veg restaurant in Adyar.
This is the most referred restaurant in Adyar. It definitely lives upto its name. Wonderful taste. Great service.
One of my absolute favourite places to eat since I was a baby. Opens at 7am everyday and shuts late at night by 10:45. Morning breakfasts at Sangeetha are to die for. My absolute favourites are the ghee roast, adai avail, pav bhaji and many more. I would say sangeethas filter coffee is one of the best in chennai hands down. I would recommend Sangeetha to everyone who loves some good South Indian food.
We were a group of six people acrss all age bands. 0-16, 35-45, 65+. we ordered parota, chola batura, sambar vada, pesaratu, and everything was good. Yhings that require important lassi and idly!

Very Good. Delicious. liked so much.
We ordered from sweegy today taste was excellent but see how oily it is i wish they reduce oil amount in their cooking proses ...In cover also lots of oil spilage ...4 star for that only otherwise sangeetha is our all time favorite ๐๐๐๐
It's been so long I went here in person and had food as we generally order in. Of course vegetarians love this place and the food is quite good and they have great variety. The North Indian Thali was quite nice - we had mostly north Indian food this time but all of their food is nice in general. The main problem is parking here as during peak hours, there is a lot of rush and though there is valet, it takes time. Service was good and fast
Good food with service and ambience. Visited on Saturday,
They had live music (old Tamil songs) ๐๐๐๐๐.
It was a lovely evening and a good experience.
Panner tikka was yummy. Kadai paneer was good, butter roti was a bit more oily, methi roti on the other hand was a tad too dry.
Limited meals were decent.
We were there for the Onam Sadhya on the 29 th and thoroughly loved it.
Waited upon by a gentleman, who seemed like the owning family by the way he hosted, our Sadhya was a culinary delight.
There was a delectable variety of dishes and he explained each preparation and broadly what it contained.
Delicious, fulfilling and so authentic. It was a one of a kind Onam Sadhya.
For the offering, it s very reasonably priced. We chose this Sangeetha Sadhya over some give star hotel invitations we had and enjoyed it so much!
Busy place. Had breakfast - Puri Vada curry must try. Nice taste
Great Veg food. Both South Indian and North Indian food. Super fast service. Even after 1st day of cyclone impact they serve the very best hot idli, idiyappam. Dosa varieties.
Excellent, tasty food. We had the thali meal which had a lot of variety with both North and South Indian dishes. Service was prompt and courteous. We had to wait for about 10 min to get seated on a busy Sunday morning which wa not bad at all.
Had food many times in this restaurant and it has a good ambience, Both North and South Indian Foods are sooo good and must try place. For Lunch Meals are best option. My favourite food is Paneer tikka and their biryani. Their biryani quantity is more and even two people can eat it. Overall I loved it

Good musical on Friday Saturday and Sunday. Very good food and prices are high now but it's okay for the food taste...๐๐ซ
Taste was very yummy must try their starters and specials. I feel that the price for falooda is higher rest every thing is good ๐
Foods are really delicious! Though I have tried one item (Poori with veg) price- 95 rupee
But hopefully others items are good as well. Bengali should try this restaurants.
Authentic taste that feels just like home for sure, almost always heavily crowded so you might need to adjust seat with someone else if you are alone. Usually not a big fan of crowded space so not a big fan of the atmosphere.
One of the best restaurant for anytime meal. Had lunch there with family. Loved it and the service was very good. The food was hot and freshly prepared. We had north Indian thaali. So First started with soup and 1 papad. Then our lunch came n thaali had enough food to fill our tummy full. Price was adequate. Later mom and dad had tea and I had watermelon juice.
No regrets with this restaurant. Fully satisfied.
Absolutely satisfying and very tasty food. I still remember the pongal I had 15 or 20 years before, and it remains the same. Excellent sambaar. Saravana bhavan and sangeetha are the best, but now Sangeetha stands up on top at its best. I miss saravana bhavan, but Sangeetha never disappointed me.
Hats off to the Chef. Best vegetarian food restaurant in Adyar. Easy to find street side parking. You have the option to choose A/c or non A/c rooms or family or common dining area. Good elevator system makes things easier. Great staff with excellent customer service. Food was prepared perfectly to give the right consistency. Sambar mini idly was yummy. Right spice.
Gobi 65 was amazing. Baby corn was crunchy and juicy, เฎเฎเฎฟเฎฏเฎพเฎชเฏเฎชเฎฎเฏ was soft and smooth. Must try vegetarian restaurant in the city.
I love the food quality, taste, hygiene and the service provided by this restaurant. Whenever I visit Chennai, for once I shall come here. Cofee, vada, vajji was super.
I am very much impressed with this hotel. First, the lunch for Rs. 160 is a good here and you get enough rice with sambar, rasam kootu, vathakulabu, sanji, curd, buttermilk etc. along with payasam and big appalam. The sambar idly with ghee is great and is also a good option, available most of the times...the rates, quality and quantity for all items are good and enjoy eating here. Good family option for all.
Food was good in taste nothing to complaint.
Great service team.
