This is a small cafe located in KNK road along with Hagen Daaz. They have a small and limited menu but have many brilliant dishes. I tried the friend rice and the hot and crunchy tofu. Both the dishes were lovley with nothing to complaint. They were pretty generous with the quantities too.
Sharing the place with Haagen Dazs in KNK road, this is like a co-working space, ha ha! They've a wide variety of North Indian and continental food to choose from.
Food -
Starters - Spicy chicken nuggets. Made with spices and curry leaves, it tasted good.
Thai crispy prawns. Loved this. Made with Sweet chili n sesame, it was a treat to our taste buds.
Mains - Chili basil fried rice. I love basil rice and this was soooo good. I asked for chicken add on and it made this absolutely perfect. The quantity is huge as well.
Fish n chips - accompanied with fries and mashed potato, it's the usual dish with comforting taste.
Beef tenderloin - perfectly cooked beef with veggies and mashed potato and sauce. Another good one.
Dessert - Caramel custard. Heard this was the best here n ordered it. But was disappointed. None of liked it. The bitter taste was a bit too much to handle.
Pricing - it's value for money as they've huge portions of serving. Also, Zomato gold is available here.
Service - a bit slow. Can improve on that. We had to wait a long time for each dish.
Bon appetite :)
This Pasta tasted tooo good ! Sarah’s soul kitchen has some magic in their menu ! The service by them to the customers is also a good one !.
Such an amazing restaurant with great food and courteous staff. I had chilly beef and Indonesian noodles. The beef was extremely good. They have a really good ambience.
Glad I walked into Sarah's soul kitchen when there are so many options in the vicinity. Nice ambience, decent cost and ample quantity of amazing food. Add Zomato gold makes this places absolute favorite. Special mention to the service, someone was always around to hear and explain to menu.
Mushroom cream soup - delicious
Broccoli cream soup - good, both soup served with a slice of garlic beard.
Burnt garlic butter rice - loved it, I wanted something with minimal spice. It's had great flavour and good quantity.
Cheese Pasta - good flavour but the penne could have been little softer.
French fries - its was jus French fries, nothing more to add.
Definitely recommend... KUDOS!!!
Wow! What flavours I must say !
Very friendly service.
This place has the best garlic bread I have ever tasted in Chennai .
Here are a list of must trys .
- cheesy meat balls ( a little more cheese would have made this a perfect dish )
- panacotta ( fantastic !!)
- fish and chips ( best one in Chennai )
- grilled prawn crumbs
- pumpkin soup ( needed to be a little more thick , but the flavour was in point . )
- wonton soup ( my favourite )
- all the pastas (the garlic bread was fantastic ! )
Hope you guys reading the reviews enjoy your food here :)

I have gone so many times to @haagendazsla in Nugabakkam, even recently. But failed to notice that they share space with @sarahssoulkitchen. The food is absolutely amazing here.
We ordered Spicy Chicken Nuggets, Crispy Beef (I think) & Pink Penne Pasta. Everything was served hot, and was a good portion.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Have been here twice and have had awesome food. Their staff are friendly and prompt with service. The food is just yummy. I loved their grilled fish with pesto sauce. Especially the mashed potatoes were seasoned perfectly.
Sarah’s soul kitchen ❤️ been here couple of times.. the food is so delightful and the food presentation is absolutely professional ❤️
If you are looking for go dine in, then this place is a great option !
One of the best beef steaks in town! (At a very affordable price). True comfort food consisting of a hearty portion of steak, creamy mash, and yummy veggies.
Food is made by a 💓 Heartfelt Soul. Sarah's soul kitchen is definitely a must visit if you are in Chennai , if you got to have a good day .
I had lunch here a few times and this is THE place I go when I am entertaining friends. They are just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. My favourite dish here is their white pasta – creamy and cheesy like no other place.
I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we had a delightful chef – Ganesh -who always help us choose our meal.
And their PANNA cotta –– This is a truly delicious dessert – creamy and flavourful – they use fresh vanilla beans -this is a must try dessert here .I have tried panna cotta many places – but the one that I relish here is unmatchable.
Absolute cracker of a place! Located in a quiet locality, this restaurant makes a lot of noise with the food it is serving! Amazing food, the ambient lighting and decor are really welcoming and feels of luxury. However, the pricing is pretty decent and light on the wallet for the quantity that is served!
The dishes I tried were -
> Chilli Coriander Tofu Balls - Their speciality dish; truly a chef's special; lot of flavours, the tofu was fried perfectly. Dressed with mayo and mustard and served with a tamarind sauce. *must try*
> Chilli Cheese Slices - Layers of cheese & chilli on toasted bread.
> Sugarcane Prawns - seafood lovers said - "HEAVEN ON A PLATE!"
> Bombay Pav Omlette - one of the best omelettes I have ever had! > Our Penne Dish! - Lot of cheese, cream, and more cheese and a lot of veggies! Perfect main course! Satisfies your deepest cravings...
> Mumbai Style Grilled Sandwich - really spicyyy and flavourful sandwich grilled to perfection
Added BONUS - ENJOY desserts from Häagen-Dazs!
Hope you enjoy this place as much I did! Cheers,
Dhyan! 😁
New year lunch was at this place.. and was worth every bit in tadtevand flavor.. few hiccups .. guys thats okay .. complete VFM .. ordered a Kerala chicken curry and Malabar parottas..punjabi Rajma chawal .. chicken steak and cheese something .... all was him.. We got stuffed .. highly recommend this place.. post lunch order from haagendas .. this place is located in khader bad as road.. valet parking .. inside haagendas .. couple of things.. do NOT change the portion size..its enough for one person to eat and feel happy 😀 ... punjabi rajma chawal does NOT have curry pattha. Loose the curry leaves.. 😉 will be back for more ..
They have very few options for Zomato Gold customers. But the ones available were super delicious.
We had ordered Sugarcane Prawns, Classic Chicken Burger and Grilled Chicken Breast. The Sugarcane Prawns were something really new for us and they tasted really good. The burger was huge. The chicken breast was ideally cooked in mushroom sauce but since I'm allergic to mushrooms, I asked them if they could do something about it and it was very sweet of them to serve the sauce separately, and not mix it with the dish.
Will definitely visit the place again! ^.^
Located inside the same premises as Haagen dazs, this cafe offers a menu which might not be a lot different from most cafes but their food is a bit different I'd say. We liked every item that was ordered. Service is quick. They do offer a sit-down buffet setup as well depending on the number of people. Would most certainly like to visit again.
We were celebrating something personal and wanted to go somewhere cozy but at the same time, didn’t want to venture too far.
I remembered the place that I had I bookmarked after reading post about comfort food and that’s how myself n my friends ended up at Sarah’s soul kitchen.
It shares space with Haagen Dazs in the platinum building at KNK Road. Can host about 6-7 covers. Usually, parking is a pain when it comes to KNK and it was hassle free here as the building has its own parking.
Orders:
Tom yum goog soup: 179/-
A clear soup with lime, fish sauce and chillies. I opted for prawns but they also have a chicken variant. The soup had a strong seafood smell and those who can’t put up with that would want to steer clear. Taste wise, it was yum. The combination of lime, red chillies and prawns worked perfectly well for my tastebuds as well as my cold.
Summer spaghetti: 289/-
It’s a veg prep loaded with zucchini, cherry tomatoes, olives and Parmesan. Came with toasted bread and a small portion of cut veg salad. Looked beautiful and tasted great.
Bunny chow: 299/-
One of my friends have never had it before and wanted to try it here. The bread bread basket had cheese in its base and different veggies. Though it didn’t appease me, my friend enjoyed it.
Kadai(as in pan; not to be confused with quail) biriyani: 299/-
We all have that one friend who never deviated from a particular cuisine and one such diamond ordered this. A plate of long grained rice with multiple veggies served with fried onions on top and a papad basket with onion salad on the sides. Was informed that it was brilliant.
Overall, the food definitely calls to the soul both look and taste wise as we did not find any spices/ irritants that wasn’t required or over powering.
Also, all the items were served piping hot! Though I burnt my tongue on my first sip of the soup, I loved how it stayed hot till I finished the entire bowl!

Finally had the chance to check the place out! The ambience and service was really nice! Thanks to chef Ganesh, I tried out the Greek stifado which was a killer! Must try place that has to be ticked off every foodies bucket list.
Soul kitchen is truly soulful!
Source - Zomato gold
This place takes orders till 12 ;)
The place shares the same roof with haagen-dazs, nicely lit, soothing ambience, not a wide collection of books are the one to notice before binging on with the bland and cheesy food.
Stuffed omelette was a big turn on which made me believe I can expect some good delicious food here. The food is tasty and colourful and carefully presented. When the food looks good, it ought to taste good! and soul kitchen did amaze me.
The staff are friendly and do not bother you much! Service was prompt and thanks to Vishal (attender).
A good find for late night hankering!
See you again, soon.
Best place for foodie who need some special dishes ....
Also best place for couples ....
North Indian varieties also available....
U must try Kori glassy

Like the simple menu..but it contains every cuisine and covers every part of the world without a miss to taste...
Had fish curry with rice..enjoyed the snapper every bit of it..
Want to try the burger..hope we get the same in the picture to try..
The place was really good. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it's difficult to locate. Other than that everything is great. It's a veg friendly place too. One of us was a vegetarian and he too liked the taste. The service was quick and good.!! Loved it
I had a steak and it was filling and taste was very good with perfec balance. But I would like to question admin that the meat which I ate was halal or not ?? And do they have a halal certificate and do they use any kind of alcohol for steak sauce.
I really liked it but I need confirmation for all these so that I can come again .
I stumbled upon Sarah’s soul Kitchen while trying to fine a good place for Mains. And boy, was I happy with what we received.
Sarah’s soul kitchen is situation inside Hagen Das. True to it’s name- the food is absolutely soulful!
We ordered the Chicken Envelope and Greek Chicken Penne.
The Chicken Envelope consisted of baked chicken stuffed with mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes. My mouth waters while I type this. With the chicken was Mashed Potatoes- low salt just the way I like it. Some raw veggies- tomatoes, pieces of cucumber and lettuce, some boiled veggies- Corn, peas, broccoli and cauliflower. Overall the dish was a total winner.
The Greek Chicken Penne came in a square bowl- with Penne, boiled chicken, cherry tomatoes, and weirdly- cucumbers. It came with lemon yogurt and felt heavenly with the cucumber! I wondered why I haven’t tasted a combination like this before. The garlic bread slices and raw veggies were an add on- perfect to give it a full meal finish.
I don’t usually rate a place 5 stars- but trust me. The food alone deserves the 5 stars!
I used my Zomato Gold membership and the bill came to a total of 430 rupees approximately.
I love a plate of food that has got lot of colour on it. It doesn’t just heighten that enhance your experience but you really enjoy eating that wholesome meal. Extra points if it looks and tastes extremely good too.
Sarah’s Soul Kitchen ticks all those boxes on your expectation list. And their food (if you must know) I polished that right off and was on a food high for two whole hours after I was done. That doesn’t happen too often with me.
Coming to what I exactly ate, so the two dishes are the grilled chicken with mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes, steamed veggies and a little vegetable salad. While the other was a hearty chicken paratha roll served with potato wafers and a fresh salad.
They were wholesome and perfectly cooked. The mash was creamy with no lumps. The veggies were soft but had a nice bite to them.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I want seconds now!
The place is located in khader nawaz khan road . It is inside Hagen daz . The place is average . And food too . Price is affordable . Service was slow .
Overall 3.5*
Good clean flavours. We ordered a steak and a grilled fish dish. Both were well prepared. In particular the steak was done perfectly. The steak also came with this crispy fried bread at the bottom that was delicious. The side of mashed potatoes could be creamier.
We didn't try dessert but will surely do the next time I visit.
There are housed inside (alongside?) Häagen-Dazs, the ambience therefore being that of resto cafe. The music isn't too loud. It's a good a place for a meal with quiet conversation. Perhaps good even for a lunch with self.
The service is attentive; a tad too attentive for my taste. The prices quite decent especially with Zomato Gold.
If y'all are looking forward for some Comfort Food but is too lazy to cook, just head out to Sarahs Soul Kitchen on KNK road, Nungambakkam.
The restaurant is from the Jonah's chain focussing on feeding people some soul food (yep, they give out thayirsadam also). The tenderloin steak was griddled to perfection- tender & soft- and served with buttered veggies & everyone's favorite, mashed potatoes.
We were excited to see Bunny Chow on the menu - a South African Delicacy which is basically a scooped out bun filled with yum curry. In this case, it was Beef curry & the chunks were tender & soft.
The best part about this restaurant is the fact that they don't compromise on quantity & makes sure your stomach exits before you. If you've still got tummy space, you can drop by Haagen-Dazs since they share space under one roof.
Also, they're on #zomatogold .

Daughters, they say, have a special bond with fathers. It comes from the soul. So,as a touching gesture a restauranteur father gave his little daughter, the ultimate tribute... 'Sarah's Soul Kitchen'🙂
A small outlet sharing space with HaagenDas in the busy locale of Khader Nawaz Khan Road in Nungambakkam, this restuarant boasts of food that are home favourites. Their menu is diverse which covers dishes for all tastes.
The ambience is happening, but more suited to a cafe style. They have books which you can read and their aim is to encourage people-interaction and good old fashioned conversations.
Our order consisted mainly of sea food and we were not disappointed.
For starters we had Panko fried prawns with pickled cucumber and chilli tomato sauce (349/-). These were clean butterfly cut big prawns fried crisp and served with a salad and tomato sauce. Very good😋
Then we had Mustard prawns braised in Bengal grain mustard with curd, mustard oil and chillies with steamed rice (389/-). This took me back home to Kolkata with its hint of mustard. Though not quite as authentic as the original, it was my favourite for the day😋
Daily fish grilled fillets of fish with a mild pesto cream sauce, mixed salad and mashed potatoes (399/-). A good combination and the fish pieces were quite substantial. The pesto sauce was a good compliment and tasty too.
Fish and chips tempura batter coated fish slices with French fries, lemon, tartare and tomato sauces (389/-) was a variation on the British Fish and Chips. As a starter this would work better.
We also ordered Grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes, mushroom sauce and buttered pav (329/-). This is an all time favourite and they did justice to the dish. The mashed potatoes were creamy and fluffy and the mushroom sauce was excellent. A definite recommendation.
To round off our meal we ordered another classic comfort dessert 'caramel custard' (219/-). I was happy to note that the caramelization was done to perfection and not the typical burnt sugar taste one normally gets.
All in all, the atmosphere is comfortable, the servings are home styled and the servers courteous. However, wait times can be improved upon. Pricing depends on personal preferences but for me it was on par with other quality restuarants and value was justified.
The Head Chef, Ganesh, took the time to help us understand the menu and we appreciate his insight.
I'm giving 5 star because I liked everything about the restaurant and everything I ordered. I'm a pure veggie and there were less veg dishes on the menu but the manager told us that he would bring more veg dishes soon. Can't wait to try new ones soon.
So we ordered, white sauce penne pasta and bunny chow. White sauce penne pasta as always was a delight. Very yummy. And Bunny chow is a African Fast food and was new one to try. Glad I tried it was indeed good. For those who love spicy food, this one's a good try. It's basically Indian species made curry inside a bread. There is a beautiful tale behind this dish which the manager told us.
Ambience was good. They have got books too. Will be more better if they can expand the seating.
Service was good. The manager was very friendly, talked about many restaurants and told us the story behind Bunny chow which I have attached with the photos.
Good day it was !
Ordered the pacha manga meen curry & chicken stroganoff !! Worth the wait. Finished off with a praline ice cream. Must try for all food lovers. Great location too !
Amazing food, the food selection on the menu was great. Really a soulful experience. I would definitely recommend going there, it's well worth the money
Sarah's soul kitchen is extremely good when it comes to ambience. Food prepared here is of extremely good quality. Staff is courteous and amiable.
Must visit with loved ones!
Haagen Daz ice cream is available!
Sarah's Soul Kitchen is a cozy little place located as part of the space that also houses the Haagen Das ice cream outlet at KNK road in Nungambakkam. There is no separate ambiance as such but it is well spaced out and gives itself a lovely vibe.
The menu is a large 2 side slider. Truth be told options are a little less for the vegetarians. If you manage with egg you're saved quite a bit. They have soup, small plates, some specific egg based items, pastas, main course pointing to a global kind of cuisine.
We were two of us and tried a soup, a small bite and a main course. The soup was the pumpkin one which was kind of nice but the sole miss was the lack of pumpkin taste in it. It was a little too milky and would have certainly been ameliorated with the presence of the seeds. In the not so big plates, we tried the chilli cheese slices. These were round slices of breads stuffed with oodles of cheese and slathered in parts with grains of green chillies. It was quite cheesy but however didn't seem anything different than usual topped garlic bread with cheese.
The main course was the favourite of the lot. We tried the cabbage kofta curry which was an interesting work of fusion. It was a mix of a kofta and potato gravy flavoured with curry leaves which came along with pasta than the usual rice. The gravy was indeed quite delicious with the kofta balls having the required ammunition to make you slurp. The pasta am not sure was the best of combination for it to go with but nevertheless was nice to eat along.
The service was kind of slow and they could raise the bar a bit here. Even the refilling of necessities like water took longer than expected. The pricing is par for the course. The fact that zomato gold was there came in quite handful. Overall, a warm little dine out spot to indulge in an easy paced meal.
So to begin with the place is hiding from plain sight and for all practical purposes you need to be on lookout for Haagen Dazs. The Haagen Dazs store and this eatout share the entry and are sorta merged. From an ambience perspective, I felt this place was just about good - it was well lit but then it felt a bit cramped around the table where I was seated. Food was pretty good. The crispy corn nachos come with very generous amount of cheese. If you are like a group of 3-4 friends/family, I think it is worth chilling over here once. It is fairly priced as well.
Found this place through Zomato Gold. This place shares their space with Haggen Dazs KNK road. Theh have got ample space for bike and car parking 👍
Ambience is really good. Lovely place to sit and dine 👍
Food Tried - Tenderloin Steak and Nellore Chapalu Pulusu
Steak - It had two chunks of well cooked beef with some sauce on the top and served along with mashed potato and some fresh salad and boiled vegetables. It was simply awesome 👌👌
Nellore Chapalu Pulusu - This is andhra style fish curry served with steam rice and fresh salad. This too tasted really good 👍👍. Rice quantity could be little higher it was very less.
Service was excellent 👍👍
Paid 407 rupees After the Zomato Gold benefits. Price is definitely worth for the quality of the food served here 👍👍
Coming back soon to try other dishes at this place
The ambience of the place is very pleasant especially if you were to come with your loved ones. The food tastes good.
Fun tip: Use Zomato Gold
Friendly chef ganesh made it extremely comfy . Food was good. Portion of custard in desert cud have been more. Overall a must visit !! Personalised according to taste.
Brilliant food. I visited Sarah’s Soul Kitchen with a group of friends and we enjoyed EVERY SINGLE DISH ! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good hearty meal.
This is the place for soul food. Their ingredients are fresh and the food is delicious.
I tried their Grilled Daily Fish, Chicken Roulade and Chicken Stroganoff. Must say the Fish was my favourite.
The Stack of Pancakes were out of this world - the cherries given alongside, were juicy and fresh.
Was in the neighbourhood to try a new restaurant and since it had a waiting time of over an hour, we found this place closest and most interesting. Being on z gold was an added plus in influencing our visit to the place
Ambience
They share space with haagen dazs on knk and has comfortable seating and decent interiors. This restaurant now occupies the larger parcel of what was earlier a large dining area of the ice cream unit.
Service
Was patchy and sllow and possibly something they seemed to be focussed on fixing. Alternating between the ice cream counter and tables seemed to me as the cause of chaos.
We were not even offered water glasses and those are basics. The management has committed to look into this, so not penalising them for this.
Food
They seemed to specialise in comfort food across cuisine. Menu included likes of butter chicken and rice, parota and kerala curry, kheema pao, pastas, chicken main course variants, etc.
It took me a while to decide what to go for and finally ordered:
1. Kerala chicken curry and parota (because our earlier plan was to visit a mallu place)
A reasonably large bowl of chicken curry and two crispy parotas. This was served with a healthy portion of salad which had a fresh flavour.
The meat was well cooked and curry was thick and had a rich taste to it.
2. Wife ordered Spicy egg bhurji and pav
Crisp and butter rich pav buns served hot from the tawa and combined brilliantly with the bhurji, which had a great balance in spice and flavour. This is not something I would typically order at a restaurant, but after this something I would be tempted to when I revisit.
Pricing
We could do this meal below INR 400, thanks to Zomato gold. Despite which the pricing seemed reasonable given the location, quality of food and how the dishes were designed as combo’s rather than individual bread plus side orders.
On a summary note, would like to revisit and try more dishes from their menu.
The only difficulty I had in was finding this place while it was right there in front of me. We ordered in rose milk and peace ice tea with chicken nuggets, potato wedges and pasta. Chicken nuggets were prepared with freshly cut chicken with sides like veggies and fries, btw fries were super duper perfect. Potato wedges were okish... the pasta was out of the world though. Loved it to its and bits. Good place to hangout and grow conversations.
Nice location as it is in the heart of Nungambakkam. Being a pasta lover, I tried all the veg pasta dishes and was really impressed by the creamy pasta. Bunny Chow was surprisingly really well made with an Indian touch to it. The oglio pasta had unique vegetables that was very tasty. The starters were also sufficient in quantity and the overall cost turned out to be very affordable thanks to Zomato gold.
It was a weekday evening dinner with family.. I have 2 foodies in my family who like to explore and try new food.. since I missed my lunch I planned to have an early dinner .. most of the places at Knk opens only after 7 pm for dinner so we dropped into Sarah’s soul Kitchen as they were open.. Going into the place the ambience was lovely and unique with nice books and bookshelf’s .. I ordered for a tenderloin steak and My Wife had a seafood noodle and some dessert.. the food came quiet fast and my wife loved the aroma of the seafood noodle and it also tasted yummy .. good quality delicious food.. then the tenderloin with steamed vegetables , mashed potatoes and baked bread was really nice for chennai after a long time we really enjoyed a good quality steak.. My Family wanted to drop in again.. pls keep up the good work.. Happy eating.
Probably THE BEST FOOD AND DRINKS in town! We love going to KNK for meals, but all our favorite places were closed. Sarah's Soul Kitchen was open, and we're so glad we found it.
It shares the same space with Haagen-Dazs, and is a vibrant and chic place. There are books lining a wall, so if you're a bookworm and foodie, you get the best of both worlds. I ordered a seafood rice noodle and my husband got the steak.
We expected just the usual, but both dishes were out of this world! The steak was made the way I love it (medium-rare, but specify the way you want it) and accompanied with a lot of vegetables and fluffy mashed potatoes.
My noodle dish was kind of like Singapore laksa and absolutely amazing. It was chock-full of shrimp, my fave coconut milk, and oh so creamy.
The prices are excellent at around just ₹300-₹500 for a dish that serves two (or one of me). And with Zomato Gold's 1+1 offer, it's even more worth it.
I'm definitely coming again with the rest of my fam!
Whenever I pass through the busy and bustling Khader Nawaz Khan Road, the board for Haagen Dazs caught my attention and along with it, the name Sarah's Soul Kitchen. So, there we were, on a tired Friday afternoon when we were way too exhausted and wanted to grab a quick lunch.
We went in and the first thing that caught our attention was the beautiful and classy interiors. The place shares its space with Haagen Dazs and the combined space is so blissful and bright that you can't help but be in awe of it. The place has got a very relaxing vibe and they've got a great selection of music playing in the background. Me being a classic rock fan, when Credence came on, sitting there, all my worries and the issues we came from, it was like they all melted away. Anyway, enough of the ambience.
Coming to the food, they don't have a very elaborate menu, just a few items in each section and a few drinks. That's it. We chose the chicken pot pie and the beef penne pasta for our orders. They informed us that it'd take around 20 mins for the order to arrive and we were only glad to wait.
The chicken pot pie came first, followed by the pasta. Both the dishes were presented beautifully and the pasta was undoubtedly the star among the two. The pasta had a top layer of crumbs followed by a layer of penne pasta and succulent beef pieces with the sauce, this was undoubtedly the best pasta I've ever had the good fortune to have. Gooey, cheesy yum goodness. I'll be back for that pasta, that's for sure. The pie was equally good with a top layer of baked dough and beautifully cooked chicken underneath.
Surely recommended.
In all, I'm only regretting the time it took for me to try out this place in spite of passing by it many times. Will be back here to try their steaks and other dishes. Absolutely recommended for everyone.
P.S. It seems almost all the reviews I post are all 5 stars, but what to do. Lately all the places I try out have set the bar so high that it's impossible not to appreciate the same. Same goes for Sarah's soul kitchen. Keep up the good work, guys. And thanks for being a Zomato Gold partner, from an avid user!! 😁😁
The food was great even though the pot pie was a bit too potato filled.! The grilled chicken and prawn fry were amazing! The service even at 4pm on a weekday was pretty slow ! Waited almost an hour for some of our dishes.
I've heard of this place but this was the first time here. Snuggled within the confines of Häagen-Dazs, this place is a lovely decorated joint. Honestly, Häagen looks to be a part of this place. Nice clean menu, not too many items. Love that their dishes comes with the side starch.
Ordered the Bunny Chow and absolutely loved it! Knowing the origins and how a Bunny Chow is, this one didn't fail to disappoint me!
Worth the visit
best place # i loved the food mainly
chicken dum briyani was too good nd worth having pasta over here mainly those mustard prawn made my day but its kinda expensive but worth the money must tryy!!
I ordered fish and chips
And
Chicken roulade.
I loved the chicken roulade more.
It was full filling , tasty as well as healthy .
For people who want to try a different western style of dish can try chicken roulade.😁
A must visit place. Each dish which I tried was amazing. This place will definitely satisfy your taste buds. Along with it is haggen dazs. It's like an add on. On the whole, I'm a satisfied customer.
I love this place because for the money you pay, they serve pucca food that never disappoints you. Their Kori Gassi is awesome, manglorean chicken curry with mango rice and papad! Yumm. I also like their mustard prawn and green mango curry. It's great that in a fushion place they have not forgotten about south Indian cuisine too!
Came here after a long drive from Bangalore. The chef Ganesh was very hospitable and suggested the dishes accordingly. He is very particular about the dishes that he makes and also tailors it to suit the tastes of the customer. A very warm and friendly place. Go and grab a bite :)
Located in the well known knk road of chennai , this Sarah soul kitchen is clubbed with Hagendazz . So for long it missed my eye . Zomato wrongly has labelled this as 500 for 2 ..and this joint is clearly a 750 for 2 kinda place ...
Ambience was top notch and if u are a book lover , u can see their collection too . Their menu is handcrafted to perfection .Servers were polite and friendly .
Live screening made this place perfect to view the Belgium Brazil high octane encounter .
Food was very nice .. Dishes to be must tried are their
Grilled fish
Chicken roulade
Prawn spaghetti
Pasta was nice tooo..
Location -5/5
Ambience -4/5
Food -4/5
Worth for money -3.8/5
It seems one needs to have two people to avail the Zomato Gold offer .I have used Zomato Gold in the last 6 months in Blor as a single customer. Is this a new condition.Just wanted to know.Thanx
I have ordered tenderloin steak for lunch. The package was intact. They gave with salad and mashed potatoes. I was disappointed with salad, as it has so much of lemon juice. They kept a bread along with steak which was not good idea. Overall I enjoyed the food.
Sunday lunch at Sarah soul kitchen ,this place is located at platinum building on k&k road in nungambakam,it's inside haagen daze ,Menu has been compiles nicely with mix of different cuisine ,seating and decor was comfy and was matching with it's theme ,which was positive though it's lill compact ,but it won't let u feel that,we tried some Indian food,Mac n cheese and waffles ice creams , although waffles and icecrem was treat to our taste buds but Indian food was lack behind on our expectations.,same for Mac n cheese ,it was only looking good ,nicely presented & saucy but seriously tasteless ,couldn't finish 20% of it and had to pack it to give it outside.Price doesn't matter when you are going to get good food but it didn't justified it.Management was prompt to take care of it ,so thumbs up for them ,in the end we left with positive vibes only.
One fine day as my office is in T-Nagar, and I could not get my time to eat lunch on time. As it was already 3pm and most of the nearby small cafes were closed I thought to order it through swiggy. As soon I opened and my taste buds tried to try something new, I found Sarah’s Soul Kitchen. Never heard it before but thought why not order it. I had ordered for Chicken Stroganoff, chicken noodle soup. The food arrived within 45 mins. I normally don’t expect the food to be very tasty generally by looking at it until and unless it does not touch my tongue. I mixed the rice which were in a separate bowl neatly packed. The first spoon in my mouth was a Bomb. The creamy chicken mixed with herbs, crashing the butter. It was phenomenal. I just had to keep on going on eating one after another. The best chicken stroganoff I have had so far. The noodle soup were okay. I made my colleague tasted a spoonful and he is die hard fan of it. Whenever I get time I order it. I had also visited the cafe with my colleagues. The ambience is very welcoming. The Haagen Dazs ice-cream is just a glass wall away. I normally don’t take ice creams but I had ordered for a coffee and a sandwich. Chef Ganesh had told us to try keema Pav and it was yummy. Do visit it. It’s something really unique and delightful. Sorry could not add picture but hopefully will do it next time.
One of the only places open in Chennai for your late night cravings ! We ordered the tenderloin stroganoff and the tenderloin steak! Fantastic cuts of beef and presentation was also great. The stragnoff sauce was so amazingly creamy. Would definitely come back. Oh and the pricing, just 550 for both!
Chennai's food scene has seen a boom in recent times. However, uniqueness is something we can not expect any more, even when you visit a place that you haven't seen before. The ambiance at Sarah's Soul Kitchen was one example of this. It would have been something I really appreciated had I not seen similar decor at a couple of other places. This is NOT a negative comment as the atmosphere is quite cheerful and it feel good to sit in this restaurant.
For me it was a tossup between the a Tenderloin Stroganoff and Hungarian Goulash. I mulled it over for a while and ordered the former and then, on a suggestion from Chef Ganesh, who had a friendly chat with us, changed to the latter. I had no regret as the goulash was pretty good and, as it was served with rice, a meal in itself. The purist may like it to be a bit more "soupy" but I guess some modifications are needed to satisfy the local palate. My wife, unfortunately, was not too thrilled with her pacha manga meen curry. It was good but did not match up to what she had elsewhere. The lemon mint cooler was good.
The menu is quite interesting and worth further visits.
The Starter Prawns was over fried , taste was decent , grilled fish for the main coarse was the right choice but the lemon butter sauce with it could have been better .
Service staff was only one , and he couldn’t manage 5 tables at a stretch .
Beef tenderloin was hard , the beef was well done . But had very little pepper sauce .
The drinks was amazing .
Price point , rightly priced not heavy in the pocket .
They should improvise on the service and 30% of the menu items weren’t available .
The kichdinwas well made that’s the show stopper of the day .
Presentation is fantastic
Place is well done
Service needs to improve
All items on the menu must be available
Will go again and try other things in the menu .
Yummy food.. kinda pocket friendly in nungambakkam area. Loved all the dishes I tried there.. splly egg bhurji with pav 😍 must visit if yur in nungambakkam
Sudden craving for soup and not the traditional chinese soups made me search around zomato for a new place.. The name caught my attention. Soul food/comfort food is often food with simple prep, amazing taste characterized by carb rich preparation and nostalgia factor.. Sarah Soul Kitchen has a menu which may b compared to any main stream restaurant. The taste was a way different affair.
Food: 4.5/5: Order contained a pumpkin soup, pav with egg bhurji, veg patties with mashed potatoes and veggies.
The soup was rustic, creamy and yummy. The veg patties were soft inside with a crust and the sauce over it was tasty. The mashed potatoes again was nothin i have had in chennai it was not soft and mushy instead had small bits. I liked the texture and the flavor. The veges was a decent mix of lettuce, jalapenos was a perfect accompaniment. The pav and egg bhurji did bring me nostalgia abt ny days in Mumbai.
Packaging 4/5: Its hard to fault the packing but I really dont prefer hot stuff in plastic containers.
Amazing food and decent price. Would love to visit their restaurant once.
The food is to die for ! Asolutely loved the cuisine and ambience. Do try the panko crumb fried prawns and butter chicken masala with pulao &
salad.
Small and quite little restaurant inside, they have a decent menu with good prices. Ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup, A zucchini and sausage crostini, a steak, mustard fish, stroganoff and a pasta. The mustard fish was pretty good and well cooked. So was the stroganoff. Had good flavours. I ordered for a medium rare steak but I got a well done steak. Didn’t have time to change my order. The servers forgot to get our pasta and remembered only after we asked them about it. It tasted good though when it came. Would visit again
Food: 4/5
Service 4/5
Ambience 5/5
The food was really good in terms of authenticity and the quality. The staff was well versed and customer oriented. They forgot my order somehow since we’re in a group, got delayed but the food made me happy. Ambiance becomes a plus point. Cool place to visit.
This vibrant cafe shares the same space as Haagen-Dazs, and is hard to miss.
They have THE BEST STEAK in Chennai. Their other dishes are amazing, we love their sugarcane shrimp - so good. We've always been too full for dessert but need to try it one of these days!
I've been here 4 times within the last 6 months and will definitely return again and again! Great service, awesome food, good prices.
Good food, reasonable price, great service. Should try grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes.
We visited this place thinking of having light dishes as we were feeling less appetite. We took 2 starters, a burger and a wrap. The burger and the wrap was in jumbo size that we had to pack over the left overs. The preparations were totally continental, good - no complaints. I did my first zomato gold unlock, still the bill was too high - should be considered as Premium Casual dining.
The place has a fine, though limited for vegetarians, menu options. I liked the mozzarella fritters and the apple pudding. The ambience is good. It's sharing the tables with the Haagen Daz and hence the displays and name hoardings outside aren't visible enough.

This place is definitely to be kept among the top choices inside Chennai city for many reasons such as: the authenticity that each dish claims to have is indeed there & spot on.
We get to personally interact with Ganesh, their main chef, who gives us a clarification on all the dishes and the background info on them.
Thirdly, We also get to customize the taste of each food as per what our taste bud is looking for on that day.
Yes, regarding the last point, you might think that most places provide that option. But, they just provide or they might even ask you. But how far that is reflected in the final dish that reaches the desk is important.
Since they work alongside Haagen Daaz in the same shared space, Haagen Daaz seems to stand out, which is the only negative when it comes to spotting the place out.
Once they sort that out, this place would find its audience!!
Check the whole menu. Fabulous spread.
I used my Zomato Gold membership and the bill came to a total of 430 rupees approximately.
great ambience
authentic taste
Best dessert and that chocolate bomb is bomb🖤
Nice cost and quiet place on Khader Nawaz Khan Road. Good food and friendly service
I am on a keto diet and they adapted very well. Recommend most heartily.
