If you’re a Non Veg lover Thalappakatti is the restaurant to visit. They have a great menu of food from starters to dessert. Right from the Soup, chicken 65, fish fry, prawn fry, Biriyani are all excellent. A must try if you love the south side dishes.
The food was good
Had Black pepper Chicken
Baby corn Manchurian and Biriyani (Mushroom and Thalapakatti spl mutton Biryani)
Both the biryani taste average but the starters did taste well..
Frankly speaking , My expectations were high for Dindigul thalappakatti . So , I got a little bit disappointed. Still you cannot omit the uniqueness they possess .
It's Samba rice biriyani . Chicken 65 biriyani is not up to that level of satisfaction. Mutton biriyani tastes with the real flavour of mutton you will love it .
The price is a little bit high .
The ambiance is well and good . Catchy too .
Service is fine for sure .
The taste of the food is really good. Chicken lollipop is very worthy for the price but biryani are a bit expensive. The quantity is small for the price. The ambiance is really cool and the best place to hang with friends and family.
The way they greet the people with a wholesome heart attracts the customers.

I have visited Dindigul Thalappakatti restaurant at thoraipakam last week. There are plenty of seats that can accommodate everyone if it is too rush. I have ordered Thalappakatti Special boneless mutton biriyani. The biriyani was very good but not that much super tastey for ~370(with gst). The quantity was good for a stomach full. There is ample parking space infornt of the restaurant and situated in the ground floor of the building. The staffs were polite and caring. Altogether It was a good experience.
Firstly before the food we were highly impressed on the efficiency , hospitality and humbleness of the staff Mr. Joy Deb. He is definitely the point of delight in this outlet . He ensured the customers are been attended without any ignorance and above all very down to earth person .
Secondly regarding the food , we ordered the authentic Dindigul thalapakkati Chicken Biryani and was awesome . We ordered mutton chukka and was also perfectly cooked and delicious.
While billing Mr Joy Deb came to apologize for any delay , if so from his side . This humble attitude definitely makes us to come back again .
Kudos to the team and once again thank you Joy deb for leaving this wonderful impression to all the customers.
Not my type of biryani but the chicken 65 and prawn kebabs are awesome 😎
A great place to dine out on the highway. A variety of dishes are on the menu. The best time to dine here is during the actual lunch and dinner time to receive the best of the dishes before they run out of ingredients. Ample parking space is also available. The food is tasty and filling.
Excellent choice for family dineout and want to try South Indian type flavours.
Must ry dishes in this branch: moru moru fish, peri peri chicken, mutton liver.
Worth for money..
Cons: briyani was not upto the mark compared to starters.
Pleasant experience and nice ambience. Customer service is very good and I should appreciate Mr.Jaydev, for made us feel very welcome. Food quality and quantity is good. Loved the Alfam BBQ and the complimentary Gulab Jamun.
Good place to hangout with friends, family and colleagues.
I celebrated my birth-day with my family having lunch in this restaurant. Below are my ratings to the food i had there. - Mutton Spl Briyani - 4/5, 65 Briyani 4/5, Moru Moru Chicken 3.5/5, Fish Fingers 4/5
We have ordered around 4-5 dishes. I would say, this by far the best restaurant I’ve been to for Local food. And here my other reviews:
*Ambience - I found that most of their restaurants would have dim lights instead of bright one, even when we’re in shopping mall. They somehow preferred this way. Which unfortunately not my preference. Interior of the restaurant nothing special. So it’s okay
*Staff - not sure if they can all speak English but they seemed not friendly. And also, I found that they have a lot of staff but not so many customers in. Which I think it’s also common in Chennai (for what my observation was). They hire more people with just standing.
*Selection of Food - they have variety of local dishes. And with photos as well that gave us easy way to choose which one we like.
*Food Portion - you can see from photos, it’s generous portion. We ordered for share and we’re happy we did it that way :)
*Food Quality - as I’ve said from my first review. By far the best restaurant I’ve ever been offering local dishes

*Price - hmmm not sure if it’s considered pricey for most locals. But I would say, it’s pretty Budget friendly.

Will recommend and definitely come back once we’re back in Chennai
Ambiance is good. Peri Peri BBQ and Pepper BBQ is a must try. We also had mutton biriyani as usual quantity of meat and rice was less. Would definitely visit the place for their BBQ varieties.
Price as usual same ⬆️
The food was good and tasty. Ambience is okay and service is good
