We went here to try out their Special Foods and also to try out their Famous Breads and Milkshakes.
1. Belgium Chocolate : This Tasted Exactly like Melted Dairy Milk with more chocolate flavour and it was worth the money and the taste was extraordinary
2. Mocha Cheese Parfait : This tasted a bit like Cheese mixed with Chocolate
3. Mud Jar : As the name says this Taste exactly like Chocolate Mud and it was decent.
4. Red Velvet Cake : The Cake was so Yummy and it was one of the best cakes I have ever had.
5. Carrot Cake : First time trying out this dish it had the flavour of Carrot and there were Tutti Frutti in it and it was worth the price.
6. Candy Popsicle : Chocolate and Cake made into a Popsicle it was a unique dish and the taste was also good.
7. Chicken Masala Bun : This was a Normal bun stuffed in with Chicken and that increased the Flavour of the Bun.
8. Chocolate Milkshake : This will be a Heaven for Chocolate Lovers as I drank it I could feel the flavours of Melted chocolate in it.
9. Vanilla Milkshake : A good Milkshake and here they add ice cream in the Milkshake I guess because the taste was that good and I really like this more than that of Chocolate.
10. Triple Layer Chicken Sandwich : The Sandwich was so good and since it is a Triple Layer Sandwich it is kinda filling.
11. Roasted Almonds : Almonds Roasted and Coated in Vanilla Chocolate and it was good tasted more like Normal Chocolate.
12. Choco Lava Cake : The best dish always comes last cause this was the Best cake I've ever had compared to Domino's the cake was in a another level.

The Place is Combined with Wang's Kitchen and it is kinda spacious and during evening it gets crowded.
Another thing to be noted is that when you visit and leave the shop that surrounding Place gives Pondicherry Vibes

their chocolate fantasy cake is the best. i love their bread collection. milkshakes are good too. brownie is excellent. chocolate muffins are a must try.
I order kadai paneer sandwich the taste was good but paneer was missing

Beautiful place. Fantastic ambience, great colors and well lit in the night. Coming to the food, though its top class I don't have any idea why they are priced 20% higher than what you pay in other outlets. Service was above average. Give it a go for the ambience but be prepared to pay a little higher.
This branch is near blue star. Dimly lit like most French loaf bakeries. Their cakes are supposed to be premium and they are good. 8/10
The chicken mayo sandwich was decent 7/10

French Loaf is an Amazing place to relax with your loved ones . A cafe that has comparitively lesser disturbances. You can stay here for even three hours .
I visit just for their Ambience, the 18degree AC and the aroma of coffee beans welcoming you π
They serve one of the best cakes and snacks in town
My most recommended would be brownie with Vannila ice cream and their Black current , strawberry milkshake
Also their Cafe latte is top notch π₯

Chicken pizza was gud as usual.
Chicken puff was vry bland. The chicken inside wer sumwat undecided nd dint gv a proper taste.
Desserts( some choclate pastry, dnt remember de exact name )were vry normal with both spl abt it.

French Loaf is true blue child of Chennai. The place is clean, attractive, reasonably spacious, has a great ambiance, reasonably priced , good service and has a nice menu. The reason why French Loaf is doing so well is surely their Pastries. They are simply sublime. Creamy, soft, sweet and delicious. Their chocolates are the next best and then comes the rest like breads, cakes, souffles, puddings, puffs and sandwiches. Every dish has a special touch of Frenxh loaf. Only a handful of bakers from India can match up to what the French Loaf is dishing to its customers. Here are my ratings :

Good location and easy to locate. Parking is easy and a small place to sit and have food.
The pasteries are good and the chocolate ones stand out. It's a great place to order cases for functions and parties.

Been here couple of times, they have a good basket of options when it comes to pastry. Nice place to meet friends and catch up over a cup of coffee and some pastries.
Also I love their custom made chocolate cakes. If you want the best bday cake for your little ones The French Loaf is a good option.
Neat little place for snacks.. got chocolate fantasy cake for a birthday celebration which was just delicious.. makes me drool even thinking about it.. wonderful array of pastries.. paradise for cake lovers like me ^_^

It's been along time to this place. I usually order cakes through phone calls and I hardly visit the place.
The last I visited this place was when I had their crunchy croissant wow cake n cappuccino.
They have a good spread of cakes and they taste too good and the prices are also decent
For the past two years I've only been ordering their wow cake it is so tasty and I keep getting good reviews from my parents and friends too.

Descent place, chilled n pleasant ambience, menu of snacks n drinks is reasonably priced and enough to serve the need of any visitor. Loved the place overall.. Staff was generous too.

Beautiful place.. Great ambience.. Quality Patisserie's and great bakes.. The pricing it on the high end but i would say it is worth it for a try and best place for birthday cake!! It'll cost around 1.5k-2K for a kilo of cake..
I like this place just because of it's ambiance one of the best relaxing place to say. It is so peace full here. Always fun in cafe's. That too when your with a bunch of friend's. The taste is also good. Service must be improvedπ

This is a place close to my home and always inviting. I love the sandwich's/ the pastry of the Day, Vanilla Muffins and of course the Bread.Nice place with very friendly staff who are always ready to serve you and above make you feel at home by recognizing you and trying to help in making decisions.
What I very much miss is the Crowich and the new sandwich that were introduced some months back. Was informed that there were not many takers. Very Sad.
Recently they have placed POP CORN for various varieties and I love the Katha Meeta and Garam Masala.

We delivered a coffee flavoured cake for our friend. I Just feel they have some delivery issues, it got delayed. Otherwise the cake was tasty with rich coffee flavour.

I must mention about your Pastry of the day thatβs priced at Rs.45 is really worth having and quality also pretty good I can say. Even though I have been to many French loafs this is the first time that I visited one at Anna Nagar. Been dropping by this place for well over 5 years and & I've loved it every time. Good memories with my friends in this place spring to mind . Can't believe I'm rating this place after all this time . Has parking for 5 cars up front and has enough pastries to satisfied a rabid sweet tooth. Their sandwiches are unique and their breads are gr8! Their bday cakes are to die for "Chocolate Fantasy" "Irish Fantasy". The place is cozy clean, well managed and can seat 25 people easily . Easter eggs are a sight for sore eyes but they get sold really fast, got to grab them before the weekend begins .
One word for your Blueberry cheesecake. Fantabulous!! Absolutely love your mousse's and chocolate bars. Ordered a 1 kg cream cake for a birthday celebration and it was a major hit.

Exactly 2 weeks back I placed an online order for a 1kg chocolate whirly flower cake to be picked up from The French Loaf store in Anna Nagar East. At first I was very hesitant to order online as I was neither sure of the taste nor of the looks of the cake, not to mention the price I was gonna pay. But to my surprise the cake was ready at the exact mentioned time, and it was definitely worth the price. The cake was made of brown and white chocolate and was absolutely mind blowing. The guests at the b'day party enjoyed the cake a lot :) But I ate more than half of the cake :P It was that delicious :D

Pretty compact, not apt for large get togethers. Yet an awesome place to hit in if you're going with limited buddies.

One of the richest and finest pastries one is surely to be treated with. This place is our usual drop-by to grab few pieces of fresh-cream pastries and mousse. Pastries are soft, moist & flavorful. Strawberry and Blue-berry flavors are must try! And they do promise to deliver the most-beautiful and yummiest cakes on special occasions.
The place is certainly pricey! Yet, worth dropping by to treat your taste-buds with the yummiest pastries in the town :)

After shopping in anna nagar me nd my frnds entered dis place.ambience s perfect to relax nt too bright led lights. Dis sounds silly bt it does matter a lot for me.mild lighting provided a soothing effect. My all time favorite in "the French loaf" s brownie nd apple crumble pie.brownie perfect to de texture taste color nd everything. Pie at its best.I also tried sandwich.farm fresh sandwich s de best among veg sandwiches. I did nt try non veg here.dis place u can exclusively go for brownie.
This place is heaven for those with sweet tooth.every item is so authentic and perfect.I had pot de chocolate with chocolate spoon it was just wow. The hazelnut fondant is so rich flavors burst in your mouth. Apple pie was the best one which I ever tasted. Would definitely visit this place often.

Cakes here are some of the best - moist and not overly sweet :) ... But I mostly drop on for the sandwiches and other eatables and then finishing off with a coffee (esp partial to cafe mocha :p) ... Pleasant staff and minimal clear decor ...

French invaded the South India, and one thing they did good is they left behind a legacy of french food.
there are so many places in south India, known for the french food, and this is one of them, and yet this is one of the best available.
i like the muffins and the pastries, whenever i have visited this place, i have always bought some bread or the other.
and this has always delighted my appetite.
the place is pretty good for snacks, but not for whole some meal.
the staff is courteous and kind, and always friendly.
i would love to visit the place again.

I have purchased a cake last year for a birthday on Christmas, it was excellent and tasted very delicious. I ordered a 2Kg Irish coffee flavoured speciality cake which i choosed from their album, it was exactly the same as depicted in the photograph.
This year ( 2013) I went yesterday to give a similar Pre-Order of 2kg cake , before checking the album i told them that i wish to pre-order a cake to be delivered on the day of Christmas but i was informed that only Bulk orders are welcome at the moment and I was asked to come directly on the day of Christmas so that there will be many Chef's special cakes. I insisted them that i want to Pre-order so that i can select it from the album based on which i like, they informed me that currently they don't take Pre-orders. I was ready to pay the full amount which would be more than 2000.Rs , but still my order was not taken. I dont know whether a order of 2000Rs are taken as small orders these days.
I was very much Disappointed due to this, but still im giving a 4.0 rating because the cake i bought last year was Excellent and I'm not getting the opportunity to buy it again.
Want to get the best cakes ?? Its french loaf .The best out of the lot is the chocolate truffle .
Other than the cakes their pastries and breads are well prepared .

Went here yesterday, for a quick bite, after a longer, round-about travel after work. Ordered some sponge cake thing(forgot the name) and a Yogurt Blueberry Cake and a Diet Pepsi. The sponge cake was not upto the mark and was just ok. The Yogury Blueberry cake on the other hand was quite yummy and tasted pretty good. As for diet pepsi, I don't feel it qualifies for a review :)

Wow, is the first word i wanted to put on pen when i decided to write this review. French loaf has more than 20 outlets in chennai. I have visited 5 of them and the one in Anna nagar is the best of all. For all pastry and bread lover, they can never be disappointed if they go there. They have a good variety of menu (for a pastry shop its a real good menu) for both veg and Non veg foodies. And to everybodys surprise they are not expensive in any means. Mousse is one of the items which i felt is really good compared with many other pastry shops like Mcrennet. The ambience was awesome,since they have a pretty big place,with good air conditioning. Staff people were knowledgeable about what they sell and prepare,which i didnt find in any of the pastry shops. You can hang out for hours without anybodys trouble with some good snacking. The only concern i had was, there were very little option of drinks available. You cant expect the normal soft drinks also with them. Apart from that, this is an good place for all pastry lovers.

We were on a Cheese Cake hunt in Anna Nagar and this time we decided to visit French loaf. The blue painted building for sure was one reason for us to visit because normally I have seen French loaf in green paint. This was different. Interior space had 3-4 tables. They had a variety of cakes , muffins , pies , brownies , tarts , snacks etc
Got one blue berry cheese cake and one Tiramisu. Blue Berry Cheese Cake was good. Tiramisu was also good but I will pick the cheese cake over tiramisu any day at any point of time. *Cheese cake veriyan you see* π
Pricing wise it costed us Rs.300 in total for both including GST which means the price is less the Rs.150 for one slice. This is the first time I am having cheese cake for less than Rs.150 and it was good. Will I visit again? Maybe or Maybe not.. because I felt the slice was small π€
Oh and they offer 1/2KG - Rs.700 and 1KG - Rs.1400 cheese cakes as well.
Payments can be made through cash/card and UPI transactions.

I've tried tiramisu and almond Crossiants. Both were really good.
