Visited this place with friends last weekend.
It was pretty late in the night but the place was quite full. Ordered couple of drinks, Mushroom pepper and Veg & Chicken Fried rice.
Mushroom pepper, though served very late, was excellent. Fried rice was not in the Menu but they took the order and served. It was good too. Accompaniments were refilled quite quickly.
The place was quite noisy with DJ, which is expected as it's a sports pub. A little earlier in the evening would have been less noisy.
The place looks renovated recently and price looks quite appropriate.
Visited here after 5 months. They have remodeled and opened just 2 days ago. It's been remodeled with trippy graffiti at entrance/exit, the ambience is pretty good compared to previous setup. Customer service was also pretty decent(maybe due to owner being there). They have setup sport screening with projector on one side and TV on other. New pool table was available but didn't play since I went alone. Had draught beer, which was nice and strong. Restrooms were renovated and clean. It wasn't smelly or shady like last time I went. But they increased the price a bit and service charges/tax are too much that's why 4 stars only. They were streaming ICC world cup and few tables were occupied.
They didn't provide any free snacks saying they just reopened. Menu card was also just printed paper and wasn't prepared properly

One of the few places in chennai that can be called as a sports pub. Economical for food and drinks; their infinite munchies require special mention. Although their services are good, their decreasing enthusiasm in maintaining the ambiance is a cause to worry.
This is your place if you want to chill with your group of boys watching a match and sipping beer. I love the ambience as it's not one of those crowded places and you can peacefully enjoy your beer here. Though been here just once, service is quick and place is a veteran drawing it's own set of faithful people! Win-win!!

The best part about this place is the ambiance.. Its got really good ambiance and food, but its too noisy with the people playing snooker around. One best dish this place serves is the Gobi Manchurian.. Be sure not to miss out on this item when you visit this place..
Was wondering how come a pub is located on dis busy road and i was thinking wher it ll b..its on d same place where peppers tv is also thr..u climb d floor and u ll hav d entrance where there r two pool tables..guess its pay and play..once u cross u can enter to d place where its separated into two halves..u hav a big screen and also a small tv which plays songs r sports..there is a separate smokin zone at d back near d kitchen..d variety of drinks is limited wrt to international liquor..domestic liquor r plenty and d food provided here is also very good..for 5 ppl it came arnd 2500 and i find it to a VFM place but if u want a place with utmost privacy or sme quality u can give dis a miss..!!
"Affordable" da word is and not cheap like many people use. Affordable drinks n food. A very cool, good hangout. A place u can visit without checking ur balance. Beer was good. Mutton kebab n paneer kebab wer good. STAGS r allowed. Der is no reason to stop myself from making this my regular hangout, if i am staying in chennai for long.
Amazing place to come by and relax not much of disturbance.. Not too expensive. Decent enough food. The variety of veg food is less.. Great place to grab a beer and play some pool or snooker.

After a long discuss with my friend, I accepted this place to hangout for ipl.. Never disappointed... It's really pocket friendly and nice service...They have snooker table which you use.. Ambience is really bad and it badly a renovation.. But it's a good place to hangout with friends.
Ambience isnt great. Not so costly booze. Good to get drunk without getting your pocket burnt. They also have snooker tables so you can get drunk and kick some i mean hit some balls if you like :P

Well paddington is a place where if you can go if you have a low budget . This place is also good for people who love to play pool or billiards . It's a great place to chill out with friends . The ambience is very trippy. Well maintained ..over all a wholesome place .
To put in simple words 'Right place for tight pockets'. Been going to this place for two years. Never got bored. But you will be having limited number of choices.
My favourite place at Chennai as its for snooker & pool tables. The food is ok and surely one can have a pretty good experience. Dark ambience makes our time perfect.

It is our go to bar when we are short of cash. We’ve been there 3 or 4 or… oh I’ve lost count, numerous times. I’m not someone who gets fond a place easily and keep visiting it again and again but with Paddington I did.
It’s a sports bar, had pool table, and serves drink at low cost and food for reasonable cost is all well known. What you’d have not experienced is going to Paddington during untime. We happened to be a lucky bunch who went there around 5 on a weekday. Neon lighting, Raja sir music, beer and cocktails. Wah! It was heaven. Add to we played pool for a couple of hours. It’s a deadly combination I say.
Finding the bar is never tough. It’s on the road where Times of India office is, in fact finding TOI office is tougher than finding this bar. Next herculean task is car parking, which definitely is a pain as there is no option for valet parking too. Anyways I prefer to park my own car rather than a valet as he stands next to us waiting for money.
The entry to the bar is quite dingy. Even before you enter you’ll see at least a few people smoking on the carpet stairs during peak hours. Once you enter you head the clanking of the billiards balls and the ambience would excite you. But there won’t be AC in the pool space so mind that. The pub as such has minimum space and almost all the time it’s fully occupied. There is an option of using the terrace space but you definitely don’t wanna go there.
The prices for the drinks are quite moderate and food too is quite tasty. I’m not sure how a golden fried prawn must be made but I love the Paddington variant of using bhajji mavu to make it. That’s a great compliment to vodka which is priced at 70 or 80 for a small. That’s my favorite combo there. It’s not a great place to have cocktails for I’ve tried almost all of it and none tasted good.
One major disadvantage is this place doesn’t have a smoking lounge, either you’ve to use their dingy balcony next to their even more dingy toilets or open terrace. The latter is the better option but you don’t feel like taking the stairs every time you wanna smoke. So you settle for dingy balcony.
If you are group of friends who wanna have fun without caring about the dress code and stuff this is the place to go. For AC our go to place is Paddington, for open air its West Park.

Paddington is one of those places that really go easy on your wallet.
Be warned, this place has a slightly shady atmosphere and it would be wise to come as a crowd if you plan to come with women. Since the alcohol is cheap and the entry isn't restricted, you might ant to be a bit careful.
Liquor is pretty cheap and ordering by the pitcher is the best. You get unlimited snacks with upto 6 different varieties of chakna which really sweetens the deal. Food is good too. The chicken lollipops will get over faster than you think.
I would suggest taking the rooftop seating (which is literally an empty roof with a few plastic chairs and tables). The fresh air is better than the stuffy atmosphere.
This will become a favorite hang out for you and the boys in your gang.
There's nothing sporty about the place. Since Chennai can't have stand-alone pubs, they donned a sports theme to air matches and have a couple of pool tables set up but that's about it.
Visit here on days when you don't want to shell out much on alcohol and want to kill time with a bunch of friends over alcohol.

Paddington is located on Chamiers Road in Nandanam, above the Renault showroom and a few metres away from the signal.A cool hangout place with friends, a weekend chillout spot, a cost effective place to dine and wine, all of these descriptions hold good for this place.It remains my favorite in terms of location and price.The ambiance might not be classy like that of the Dublin or Pasha but if course you do not pay that much too.They have a rooftop option for those who want to smoke.There is a pool/snooker area as well where one can play and drink
The starters like lollipop and chilli chicken are quite good and the beer is their best on the wine card. The main course is also quite decent. Service is great even when its crowded.They screen matches on the LCD or music videos at other times.A fair get-together for 2 people shall cost you around 3000 in total...isnt it worth it??

Typical speakeasy kinda place. A place where dudes can be dudes and booze and eat munchies. The waiters take forever. Don't buy the light beer.

One of the best sports pub in the town. Easily the best place to hang out with your drinking buddies if you are a sports fan. Great atmosphere and the prices are not costly at all.

This place is like a safe haven. I have been a regular for the past 4 yrs i guess. This place simply rocks. Hands down the cheapest place to get slaushed and I meant it literally.
This place has always been there for me and my friends to catch up over a drink or two. The friendly staff, the old and random songs they place, their black seating, their smoking area, every single spot in Paddington has so many memories attached to it.
When you don’t have a lot of cash and wana have a golly time then this is the place for you. I usually dont order any side dishes as their mucnies are more than enough but their dragon chicken and chilli panner are insanely delicious. A very moderately priced place with Great Booze and Greater Memories.
Definitely not a hep kinda place to party or anything but it does serve its purpose of just giving you a good time by sharing a drink with your friends and playing some pool if you are up to it. This place claims to be a sports pub and I’m still trying to figure out why, at the most it can be a semi sports-themed bar.
They recently renovated the place and seems a lot cleaner now but the toilets are always a real mess and the word mess sometimes become a understatement. But when you inform the staffs about it, they would be on it in a jiffy.
A real cool place to hang out especially during the month end when the times are tight or if you are in college.

It's kind of guys only place. They show live matches on projector. Good place to hang out with guys. Ambience is below the average. Priceses are very reasonable. Food is also decent. They serve unlimited and very much required finger food (snacks) with drinks. Not much of variety in cocktails. They have 4 snooker tables which increases the tendency to visit the place again and again.

Good bar to watch sports ! Watched french tennis open finale with friends and really enjoyed it. We even took a break in the middle of the match to play pool (freely and with really nice equipments)

Had good fun watching ipl 4 finals. Love the billiards area :) will definately go back afterall its just behind my house! Recommend!
