Its nice place, very hygienic, chats everything very tasty... reasonable prize ... especially pani poori hmmmmm ...only disadvantage is v have 2 stand and eat
My sunday ritual place ! Satisfy all your vada pav cravings this place! Best vada pav in town and so affordable ! Also try their khakra sandwich for something new !
Price - 100 /-

A must visit 😊
We late, yes we almost here at 10.30 PM. They closed all chat items and only open for Badam milk , chocolate milk and Mango. So we don't have choice to select further items. I just had one badam milk and it's taste was awesome ,Sweet and cool one. Almost my friends ordered all the flavour of Milkshakes too.
Badam Milk - Superb and worth for money
Pista milk - Average and no sweet
Chocolate - Good and tasty one
So overall good for chocolate and badam drink. We gonna try next time for chat times and other food.
The Vada pav here are the closest to the one's that we get in Mumbai. I love visiting this place when I have a craving for some good Vada pav. The fried chillies are yummy too!
Quite a snack place , Mehtaas Offers you a wide menu of snacks and a variety of Vada Pav of which they're well known.
The Space lacks Seating but is pretty much a Go-To place for those insta snack Bingers !
Ordered classic vada Pav and Kakraa cheese sandwich ! Vada Pav here was a good glimpse of typical Bombay vada Pav .. really fresh and yum .. kakraa cheese sandwich was okayish .. just normal veggies like onion cucumber and tomato inside and grated cheese that’s all ..
Small shop on the street . Best for the Mumbai chats to have with lot of chits chats. It will be like the night carvings for the weekend. Ordered for classic vada pav,pav baaji n dahi pappad chat. The vada pav was yum with mirchi in the centre of the pav . Goes well with mint chutney. Pav baaji was so gud with the masala topped with onion. So delicious . At the end the dahi pappad was so sweet.
Mehta's vada pav is located near Das Prakash stop.Though it is a small shop it has variety of menu and it is pocket friendly.
Dahi samosa and cheese vada pav tastes good.
A cook grabs a bun, deftly splits it even as he fishes out a steaming vada from a pan and presses it between the bread. His role is played and its our turn to taste it ...
Have and enjoy the snack!!!

I wasn't a fan of vada pav before heading to this place! They serve the best vada Pav's in Chennai! We ordered for mayo vada pav, cheese vada pav and dahi samosa..The cheese vada pav was too good with right amount of spice and cheese..The mayo vada pav was good too..The dahi samosa was the best..The samosa was crispy and it had sev puri and all masalas in it..
Food - The best vada pav
Ambiance - Limited seatings only available
As their name they are famous for their VADA PAV'S
They also have other chat items but vada pav is their signature dish and they do have varieties in vada pav as well !!! It is located near dasprakash ! They are pocket friendly too so what are you worrying about !!!
Now its your turn to grb their vada pavs !!!
Food served is very tasty. Main disadvantages are, they don't have card machine and place constraint... In the eve we will not have place to sit and enjoy the food. One another suggestion, pls try delivering food in Perambur location...
People who crave for vadapavs, never miss this place.Easily reachable and this place is small. But you can get your tummy filled.❤️
🍴Mayo vadapav, cheese vadapav, mayo cheese vadapav: How could i explain these in words💓🙄💔.That was heavenly with the mayo cheese and the stuff inside the bun.😍 Must try.
🍴Cheese bread bhaji: This was good :)
🍴Cheese pav bhaji: This is my all time favourite. The mixture and the shining cheese over the bun was damn😍😍
Rosemilk,cold coffee,pistamilk--The final touch.They were awesome😍
So economical. The total amount was around ₹405/-
Worthy place💓💓
After hearing a dozen of good reviews, I visited this place as a part of a self organized food walk at Purasaiwalkam.
So what's a food walk without chat? that actually doesn't exist right?
This chat place uniquely has quite a nice place for seating, isn't this the dream?
So we ordered their popular Mayo vadapav and Kachori.
Their Pav was so soft, and their masala isn't tasted yumm, the vada pav was so good, But I felt they can be a little generous over the mayo.
Kachori was perfect, spicy and loaded with ompodi, onions and their spicy green chutney. it was filling and was so yummy !
definitely a must visit for best vadapavs !
Paid 50 bucks for both and was more than satisfied !
Mehtaas Vada Pav, situated just opposite to Dharmaprakash Kalyana Mandapam between MCTM School and Links Traders. They too are very famous for their Vada pav and Muruku Sandwich. Based on the name ordered a Muruku Cheese Sandwich and a Cheese Vada Pav, in addition to that ordered Lassi and Rose Milk.
The Muruku Sandwich was good but the murukku was a little bit harder whereas it tasted good in Links (Links is the real winner of Muruku Sandwich). The Cheese Vada Pav, Lassi and Rosemilk tasted great
To my surprise, I have seen the Karachi Rusk and when enquired about the Karachi Biscuit, the shop keeper told that they are selling the Biscuits and ran out of stock. Planned to visit again to buy Karachi Biscuit.

Was zooming past towards Purasawalkam, and my tummy was tickling and was ought to have something light. Came across this outlet just opposite to Dharmaprakash hotel.
I always love vada pav and when I saw this, immediately thought of stepping in. It's a small outlet and could accommodate around 10 to 15 and there is no sitout. There were an array of chat items, sandwiches and a variety of vada pav. Went for Mayo cheese 🧀 vada Pav 🍔!!! It was provided within a minute and I must admit that I completely loved it. The cheese and the mayo with the Pav was so good.
This place is a must visit for their vada pav and would love to visit back to taste their chat items and sandwiches. Indeed it's superbly pocket friendly, cheese vada pav costed around 40 bucks!!!

A pocket friendly place for an evening snack .!
Had corn canapés, muruku cheese sandwich and nipat chat .
Corn canapés were tasty .!
Nipat chat and Muruku cheese sandwich didn't taste that good .!
This place is purasaiwakkam next to links serves one of the best vadapavs in chennai..can manage parking ur bike..no car parking🚗
Quite spacious place..ambience ain't that great, something like roadside ambience but their vadapavs deserve appreciation👍😃
They have classic, cheese and mayo vadapav. After having tasted vadapav in Maharashtra many a times...they didn't fail to meet my expectations.!
Pretty economical Rs.35 for a vadapav💰 visit this place if u are nearby and like vadapavs..must visit 😇
I only tried their murukku sandwich and khakhra cheese sandwich and liked both. The latter was a bit too heavy and creamy for my liking, but the murukku sandwich was definitely good.
This was the second stop of our food walk. Had the classic vada pav and cheese corn canapes. The vada was hot and tasted pretty decent. Loved the Cheese corn canapes loaded with cheese. Paid 105 bucks for 2 vada pav and a corn canape.
waste of going sowcarpet for vadapav n chats...best mouthwatering crispy vadapav with moderate price and good ambience.....@mehtaas vada pav

This place serves one of the best vada pav in town. I think this is their second branch, if the sowcarpet one with the same name belongs to them. Their vada pav is just the best. The cutlet or bonds that goes in so nice and the pav is really soft.
As heard about it, tried Vada pav as the first order. Vada pav was good in taste and average in quality. Also tried some sandwich items which were good. The place is near to Link's. Overall satisfied.

Our sudden cravings for corn canops cheese made us drop by links. But being a Monday it was closed. So we decided to try out this place. We had corn canops and cheese vada paav.
The corn canops cheese was same as links but I felt it was more cheeesyyyy. Vada paav was also good. They serve it with one slice of cheese. But not melted or grilled.
Reasonable prices too. A 0.5 extra for them because they got spacious area and seating unlike other places.
I specially go to this place is for vada pav. I love the vada pav they serve here. Kind of small place and it's self service fast food joint. Parking is a big issue over her especially car parking. Whenever I go I only order 2 things vada pav and bread bhajji which is nothing but bread pakode. If you wanna try other things try on your own interest. Other things are kind of average in taste. A big recommendation for vada pav only.
The Best Vadapav joint. I've tried vadapav at many places in chennai but Mehta's vadapav was the best. I would cut one points only for their seating arrangement. The management should look forward to decorate the interior and have proper seating arrangement. Must try joint. They also have variety of chaat items available.
Price:- Pocket Friendly
Ambience:- Good
Quality and Quantity:- Very Good

I tried this place during one of my food walks. It is Located right next to links chat shop and hence it was easy for me to try stuffs there and jump here. There are so many varieties of vadapav to choose from. It's a must try if you're a vadapav lover and even if you're not.
Been there only once on a hot day :/ the snack was good and fit perfectly into ur pockets if it's small but not a great place though to hangout with family for fr frnds
Finally a food joint where we could enjoy our favourite Vadapav! It's actually run by a gujju. So, you will also find fafda and other snacks. We called for a Classic Vadapav and a Cheese Mayo Vadapav. Both of them were good. The classic vadapav tasted better though.. Next, we also had SamosaPav and Murruku Cheese Sandwich. I don't know if I spelled it right. The SamosaPav tasted good and so did the sandwich. I wish Mehtaas would also serve Misal Pav. Keep doing the good work guys. This is definitely needed for people who are from Mumbai and Pune. Kudos!

Went there to get a grab at links, but it was very crowded that we lost our interest there. Very near was this place.
And God bless this place. Such nice vada pavs, a good corn toast and a brilliant pav bhajji made my day.
We had little more and everything put together cost around 300 bucks only
Bottom line - Must try
Luxuriously grated with cheese, nominal price and a really greaaat taste!!!
This place is a must visit.
Murukku cheese sandwich ,London toast and their badam drink ought not to be missed!
Comparatively ,corn canops are better at links.
We picked this spot after a movie from Sangam on a Monday evening.
Parking - easy for 2 wheelers.
Wanted a Vada pav badly and it was the first of orders ;)
#Vada pav was super hot.
It was spicy and crisp as well.
4.5 stars for Vada pav.
#Corn Cheese Canopes was too good as well.
I cud give it a 4 star.
Girish Munagala gives it 4.5 stars.
#Cheese murukku sandwich was a let down.
Though we don't know and haven't tasted an authentic one, this one didn't impress us much. :(
#Badam Milk - was also a let down for me :(
Will definitely visit again for some more dishes ;)
This place is in list for a while. I am a great fan of vada pav so wanted to go here. It is very easy to locate just opposite to amarprakash. Can park 2 wheeler but could be an issue for 4 wheelers due to huge traffic in that road. Small room with typical road side shop ambiance. Service is quick.
Tried classic vadapav and badam milk in my first visit. Both are excellent. Next time took parcel of bhel puri, sev puri, bread bhaji, murukku sandwich, pani poori and thandai. All of them were good except for bhel puri which is disappointing due to too much sweet sauce. Thandai is like kesar milk with bit of spicy stuff. It was nice.
Price is reasonable. Value for money. Must try place for chat food lovers especially one who loves vada pav.
The mere thought of having a deep fried potato patty in between a bun sounds exciting. The fact that makes it more exciting is when the patty is made with Indian spices and also when the bun is substituted with a pav slathered with the special tangy chutneys. A vada pav basically!!
The vada pav here tastes so good and they also have many variants, the cheese one being my favourite. Their sev puri also had the right flavours thrown in.. Also their muruku cheese sandwich which provided the right crunch!
On the whole, a very decent place to have amazing vada pavs without burning a hole in your pocket!
Mehtaas Vada Pav is located just adjacent to the Links joint that is a busier outlet specialized in sandwich and chaat. Unlike that one Mehtaas is more brighter, cleaner and less busier. You need not wait for long to get your order delivered. And the person at the counter is more affable and receptive.
I ordered their famous Classic Vada Pav and Bread bhajji. The vada pav I should accept is outstanding. My previous experience of it was in Maharastrian speciality restaurants in Bangalore, Om and Rajvardhan and the chaat steer. This one was beSt of the lot. Everything perfect about it and the taste was just superb.
The bread bhajji was again presented with a twist. Firstly, the layers of bread was sandwiched with masala powder. Then the bread bhajji was presented cut into pieces with generous dose of spicy pudhina chutney sprayed over the cut pieces. The taste again was just superb.
They also serve sandwich, toast and cool drinks.
With just these two snacks I had my tummy full and all for just Rs60. A very tidy place to savour tasty snack economically.
The lassi is amazing but the classic Vada Pav is not so great! Dahi Puri is the best! The lassi was thick and tasty unlike the other places!

I ordered Vada Pav for my office party and the folks enjoyed it very much... bang on taste and consistency... one of the best in town.. Thanks Mehta Sir... :)
Lip-smacking recipes is the word. Decided to have sandwiches and hit the outlet. Brightly lit place that serves the best vada pavs in town. Was on a roll ordering items off the menu. All it took was 200 bucks and I had had like five different items of the menu. Must visit place. Mayo cheese vadapav , classic vada pav, corn cheese canopes, veg cheese toast, pani puri. This place will make u paet-ful without burning a hole in the pocket.
I was craving Vada Pav, and was, quite frankly, skeptical of the possible quality, given I've had Vada Pav at some of the best joints in Mumbai, Pune, and Vadodara (though Vada Pav is a Maharashtrian dish, Vadodara has a surprising number of superb Vada Pav places, and their. style is to drench everything in butter.. Yummy). What I got surprised me, and it was a very pleasant surprise indeed.
First Impressions: This place is the exactly like the places I used to hang out at in college days. Not too expensive, and decent quality food. The decor is nothing great, and the shop is located on Raja Annamalai Road, off Poonamallee High Road, as you come from Central. But don't be completely taken by appearances. It has some good food.
Food: We had Cheese Vada Pav, which I asked them to toast (and I recommend you do the same), Classic Vada Pav, a little beauty called Murukku Cheese Sandwich, and Russian Sandwich.
The Vada Pavs were the stand-out stars, and both classic and cheese varietes were equally good. The masala they use is very reminiscent of what you get in Vadodara, rather than in Mumbai. The Murukku Cheese Sandwich is a nice take on Bombay Sandwich, using little murukku instead of bread, and you get about 9 to 12 baby sandwiches in a plate. The Russian Sandwich is exactly what you expect- a russian salad sandwiched between bread, and I feel fairly certain the untoasted sandwich would be better than the grilled variant in this case. We also had two Rose Milk, which was OK. The total bill for 4 cheese vada pav, 2 classic vada pav, a murukku cheese sandwich, a russian sandwich, 2 rose milk, and a bottle of water, was Rs. 600, which is very decent, when you consider that Vada Pav is a novelty dish in Chennai.
I highly recommend that you visit here if you're craving Vada Pav and Sandwiches
Place is very small and crowded at evenings.Excellent chat items to try. Cheese Canapes were awesome.Parking is sure a problem.Price were normal for the taste they provide.
This place serves the best vada Pav in town , I never fancied vada Pav much till I stumbled upon this place , this one is really authentic . I also tried their corn cheese balls which were good . The place is quite hygienic too . The only negative is the drinks they serve , we ordered for rose milk and cold coffee and both were below average .
I happened to stumble upon this place when I was coming back from class.
It was pretty good.
They open at 12:00/12:30pm everyday.
The place is extremely small. It has one fridge for all the cold drinks, 4 chairs and 2 tall tables for standing and eating. So clearly the owners don't bother with the ambience in general. It was extremely clean though. We ordered the classic vada pav. It was extremely good. Authentic stuff. Loved it absolutely.
All of this at a very reasonable rate. The classic vada pav was Rs. 25 only. I'm definitely going back there to try more.
Overall it's a good, pocket friendly place for a quick bite.

Awesome vada pav, Had been to Mumbai and tasted some of the finest vada pavs in Juhu, Chowpathy and Marine lines. Been wanting these mouth watering stuff again. I stumbled upon this place, Wasnt missing Mumbai at all. Authentic stuff.
The place has different varsities of chat items and worth a try.. Corn cheese balls were best amongst all.. would definitely visit this places again..
Vada Pavs are just Indian Burgers. This place is damn awesome! You have many choices, but Vada Pav is the default choice. If you're in or around Mehtaas, get to that place!

Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner - Vada Pav would do the work for me. These small potato vada stuffed Indian mini-burgers is my all time favorite. And Mehtaas do serve one of the best vada pavs. Located on the busiest main roads that connects Ponnamalle high road to Purasavakkam; next to the Links Chat or just opposite to Dharmaprakash Marriage hall is Mehtaas.
You have to park on the streets, so commuting through two-wheeler or using two legs would be the best to avoid the hassle. For a street food outlet, they have a pretty neat and big space to dine there. As the name goes, they serve a few varieties of vada pav along with sandwiches and chats. During both my visits, I ended up tasting just their Vada Pavs, the classic and cheese. They taste delicious, the green and red chutneys used on the vada pav tastes good. Also the salt and vinegar marinated Green Chilli is a classic sider for the pavs. I just grabbed a bite of my mom's order, the Kachori - tasted good with the mint & sweet chutney. They sell Khakhras too, the Rs.40 cheese Khakhra tasted OK. Price of the Vada Pav starts from Rs.25, definitely a VFM as the portion size and the taste is spot-on.
It's a small chat shop, service is pretty fast but evening times are busy so wait cannot be avoided. Considering a huge number of crowd they are pretty prompt in service. Ambience, Service - 3.5/5, Quality, Quantity, VFM - 4/5, Taste - 4.5/5 (I loved the Vada Pavs).
I am happy that I have found a quick stop to get some tasty Vada Pav!! Slurrpp!!
Big place , surprisingly the effect of AC is good than that of links .obviously they are known for vada paavs therefore it's the best amongst all .tried most of the dishes here and I was really happy being here . It's better to visit here in a two wheeler than in car .since it's located in main road you will find it tough to park .services here are quick .you don't have to wait for much time ,all items other than sandwiches will be served in less than two min if you go in evening .
Best vada pav in town. They serve the vada's hot from the frying pan and it is not too oily or unhealthy looking either. The masala powder they add to the pav, makes it taste better.
Other items in the menu are ok. And dont even bother trying the badam milk and dessert items.
This place is 700 meters away from my home and I'm a frequent visitor over here.
Be it the guests who come over suddenly at home or my moms never ending desire of having vada pav, I always go here!
The hot hot batata vada which is deep fried after placing the order is the only and the most imp trick that this place is surviving. Else no one wud have the guts to open a chaat shop right next to links.
The cheese khakhra, cheese corn canepes, pani puri are also too good!
I wud say this place has the best and the yummiest vada pav in the whole of chennai. They are as good as having it in Mumbai.

Ever wished 4a short delicious break in between a packed hectic schedule of burning eyes in your 10X10.....!! Head straight to Chennai's best vada pav center& burn your mouths...........craving for the super delicious authentic vada pavs...and other chat items...
Vada pav was superb... It was fresh n hot... Was very happy to eat Mumbai vada pav after so long tym.. I tried many places.. I wasnt satisfied.. But this is really gud... I was not happy with the panipuri ... Dat did not taste lyk Mumbai panipuri... Wil definitely try all other dishes on my next visit.. ????????????
An article in The Hindu about Mehta bros mint for aunthetic vada paav lead me to the main eatery couple of years back. Around a year back I was surprised to notice a board mehtas vada paav on raja anamalai road purasaiwalkam. Still was not convinced if it was the same as in mint. I browsed few places and found that it was the same. It was just a small shop.
Today 29/9/14 I got a chance to visit this outlet.
The place is now expanded. A proper place with tables and chairs has been added. It's hygienic and well managed.
I opted for takeaway.
Ordered regular vada paav, samosas, rose milk.
Vada paav - tasty authentic vada paav Rs.20 for each piece.. The best place in chennai. 4/5
Samosas- quite big, little oily and very spicy at Rs. 20 a piece. Not the best. Not worth trying. Accompanying chutney was sweet and nice.0/5
Rose milk- At Rs.30 watery milk with rosé essence. Nothing wow in it.1/5
Quite a lot if other items like bread bajji is in the list.
Thanks to this branch authentic vada paav is very near.
I would rate this branch 4 for the vada paav only.
Yes.... I finally made it to this joint, and awesome vada pav.... But not just one fills your tummy, need at least 4-5 if you have a good appetite. Suggest they could increase the pav size by an inch ???? probably will try more stuffs during my next visit.
