The Bamboo biriyani is a must try... Soo juicy tender chicken and the flavour is out of the world.
Ambience is not that attractive but food is definitely mouth watering
Went for lunch . Starters were really good . A tad overpriced but the taste makes up for it . Tandoori chicken and the kebabs are must try .
Bamboo briyani is below average . Not worth the price . Briyani lovers will be disappointed.
Chicken tikka gravy and butter chicken gravy tasted almost the same . You can identify wat is wat just by the type of chicken pieces but both tasted ok .
Their Chettinad Chicken is definitely worth ordering. Also have the Tandoori Pomfret - it was yummy!
The Bamboo Chicken Biryani also deserves a mention. Avoid the Jigarthanda though - it was blah.
Not sure why this place has this much low ratings as it doesn't justify to what they actually service. Lot of options for sea food and they are fresh and good as well. Newly added to their menu is food cooked in bamboo. We tried bamboo chicken Biryani and bamboo chicken and both had a unique taste and was very good. Must try if you are here. The king prawns we ordered were fresh and juicy . The spice level here is slightly on the higher side but we can let them know in advance in case we need less spice. The ambience is also very relaxed and calm . They have a mini domestic pet park and zoo(Persian cats, pigeons, Rabbits, Country hen etc ) which can be of good entertainment for the kids. The price is also decent enough for what they serve. Must visit when you are in ECR and confused where to eat.
The place in itself is huge and has various types of cats, Persian etc., in cages. Lots of greenery and flowers around and makes the feel very natural. Food is okay though we had chapattis and paneer masala. Ended with tea. Nice atmosphere and makes it worthwhile to stopover if one is on their way to Mahaballipuram.
The best thing about this hotel is its ambience.
I have been to this hotel today felt like the heaven on earth. Food was very tasty. Service was good but need some improvements. The animals in that hotel are very attractive and you can spent some time with them. Little bit costly menu according to other hotels. Overall a good place to visit in weekends. 😍

One of the excellent n tasty platter contains of chicken, mutton and fish which is coal grilled and the ambience is quite pleasant but hot in the day time sine we had our in the open outdoor, falooda was good too, over all worth the wait and good service

I came hea with my friends on a weekday, there wasnt anyone so i thought the quality wont b that good bt to my surprise whatever we ordered was yumm. We got lip smacking chilli paneer with awesome peas pulav, then chicken noodles which too was good and the best among all was karimeen fish😋. Its a must go place if ua searchin starving fo delicious food and not in a mood to pick stuff frm menu cz every dish is simply superb.

Had been here twice. The seafood is totally Awesome. Deep fried prawns drives to the taste wonder. A different ambience. Small pet animals such as emu and persian cats, ducks and varieties of hens. Take ur kids.... one of the good restaurant on that road
Visited ECR Dhaba on lat Saturday with my wife. The place was ok. The AC hall is ok as the normal halls. There were lots of people there but AC was hardly running. We had ordered Mini Veg Platter, Salad, Butter Naan, Lassi (was good), Dal Makhani, Chicken Biriyani and butter chicken. It was served little late which made us little irritated but, thank God, the taste was really yumm. Must try on ECR road.

This place is awesome to spend with kids.Tye pigeon house rabbit zone and the play area though a little maintenence is needed for the play area concept is good...Food biriyani was too sticky unlike the one we get from Amaravati. .Fried rice was OK. Service was little slow communication problem was there but the people helping around did their best....I will rate a 3 for food and 4 for the concept ..

As you walk in the dhaba u can find a few animal attractions and children's play area which is quite pleasing to the eyes and relaxing on the same hand...the ambience is wild with lantern lightings...and a hut like private dining space...which gives the visitors a nature experience. The food tasted great, on the starters I had tandoori mushrooms. Mushroom was cooked to perfection and the marinade was so authentic. To the main course, babycorn salt n pepper, a chinese dish...it tastes really good tht i never missed meat in my food. Their szechuan fried rice is one of the best veg fried rices u cld taste...every other dishes from starters to the desserts tasted pretty decent...so, for a relaxing getaway meal under budget basis, ecr dhaba gets a thumbs up 👍.
We went to this place 2 weeks back.. We had reached a little early and wanted to hang around a bit.. The kids had fun playing in the kids area, while the elders just around talking for some time. The ambience was good, with yesteryears Bollywood actors and actress photos around. The food was quite good, and I was not expecting typical north-indian food, cooked in traditional way in Chennai..
It is a little expensive, and costed us around 3300 for 10 people.. The only thing which i didn't like was poor lighting.. maybe, they had purposely done it for creating a dhaba atmosphere...

This place is excellent for kids. The restaurant is average. But you have a mini zoo in this place. You can feed and play with pigeons and rabbits. There are many varieties of birds. A good place to spend an hour.

Ambience - I love this place so much for its ambience. They have snacks shop outside where you can sit on stone bench and enjoy the conversation by having tea and snacks or just enjoy the evening by looking at the vehicles which crosses you. The restaurant has good seating by having one big open hall under one roof, few huts if you need privacy with your team/family and AC hall too. They have kids area and farm house.
Food - We ordered Soup, Starters, Breads and Curry. Everything was good. The food was simple and decent.
Bill - It's reasonable, that too with good ambience.
I refer this restaurant to taste simple food and to have quality time with whoever you go along.
Was here during a short road trip. A tad slow service, but food quality was nice. Egg biriyani, vegetable biriyani & panneer tikka was ordered.Only downside on biriyani was they made it very oily. So next time, better to ask them serve with less oil poured over the pan.
Couldn't try the sea foods which were available, read mixed reviews here about them.

The ambience if this place is very nice. They have a cage where you can enter and feed the pigeons of your hand. They also have a house of cats.
The food is not that great but just right for a

We had lunch at this place on our way back from Mahabs to Chennai.
They have an AC hall inside, which was like a savior in the summer heat. Food was tasty and service was good too. Nothing to complaint about.
We ordered naan, paneer do pyaza, lassi, and raita. And we finished it till the last piece. We were two friends and this costed us Rs. 600. Little expensive but serves really good north Indian food.

On our way to Mahabalipuram we halted here to have our breakfast.
I love the way this place is done up. Huge area. Very kid friendly and pet friendly place this is. They have a separate place to have snacks (Hot & Spicy Cafe), a tea kadai, a coconut water counter, a kulfi counter just outside the dhaba in open. Inside they have the main restaurant which is again almost a open space with casual seating. They also have some tables here and there in the garden and huts if in case you or your group want some privacy and an AC indoor seating. They have Kids play area too. And some pets. It's more like a farm than a restaurant.
We ordered for Masala Dosa, Pongal, Vada, Masala omlette, Poori and tea. They serve chapati size two dosas in one plate. Pongal had too much of black pepper which is big no-no for me but the pongal tasted fine otherwise. Vada too had the same issue as pongal. Masala omlette was nothing but the usual omlette we prepare at home with onions and chillis. No difference whatsoever. Pooris were okay. Coconut chutney was really good. The tea was very nice.
Service was a bit slow. But that gave the kids an ample time to enjoy in the play area, so no complaints there.
Pricing is okay but 35 bucks for that normal omlette named as masala omlette is too much, imo !
Looking at all the negative reviews, I am happy that we didn't have a proper meal (lunch/dinner) here. Good place for snacking though.
Visited last month for lunch. Had simple dishes like fish curry, plain rice, fish fry, netholi fry. Not bad food. Though it says dhaba they are good at normal south indian dishes. We didnt try out the traditional dhaba food though so can't comment on that.
Good ambience. Not really modern but clean and spacious. With Fans and nets. There is alot of space around with few geese, ducks and rabbits for kids to view. There is even a Kizhi Joshier. Its a mini adventure zone.
Could use a good renovation as its such a happening road.
This place is good, if you wanna have your lunch post a movie or a long ride around 3PMish when no other place would serve food, I would come here.

All he variesties of fishes were very tasty(starters, kulambu, masala, etc). Krab available(Krab soup also available). Chicken items were also great. Desserts were very good.

Madras square located in a silent and calm place has ample seating which can easily manage a good crowd on a weekend. The service was good and the food tasted nice. For getting the final bill it took us some time but we had a great experience and will definitely check them out again with a big group. This is a place where you can bring family or friends or a perfect date night with your partner and spend quality time. The place has indoor and outdoor seating and can occupy based on the availability.

The food was our best part as we did enjoy our meal and they had a good variety of cocktails so do check them out.
I often visit here for our family lunch. First of all, I love the design of every part of this restaurant. It is really modern and calming. Waiters are kind and gentle, and air is really cool inside. Personally, I think this restaurant is making the best Italian food in Chennai. The quality of pizza, pasta, and steaks are way more better than other Italian restaurant. And also desserts, chocolate cakes and ice creams tastes awesome. I really like this place, and I can say this is the best restaurant that you can recommend to other Chennai visitors.
A nice dining experience. Have visited here 3 times never to be disappointed. They have crisp draught beer. The food was good. The Boston roll sushi was good, crispy lamb was also good. The chicken strips has a crispy coating with mushy meat. The veg haka noodles and mixed veg gravy was fabulous. The Korean fried chicken was authentic. The bruschetta was also great. The crispy corn and Lotus stem were also a treat to the taste buds.
My favourite place to sit and relax with great food especially when I go there solo. Everything there is amazing - pizzas, finger food and desserts. Worth every penny you pay. If you’d like to spend some quality time with family and friends, must visit.
Eas in my list for a long time. Finally got to dine here for lunch. Amazing food and great atmosphere. Will definitely visit. Had few appetizers and a main course. The Pizzaa looked appetizing, maybe next time.
One of the most prominent restaurants in ECR, which is famous for its Italian dishes. Enjoyed the strawberry juice very much and the lasagna was absolutely spot on. Was disappointed with the coconut flavoured soup.
The ambiance and service was good. Will surely come again.
