Stopped by this place on a weekday for a quick meal. Was surprised the entire restaurant empty at around 1 PM. As I was alone, I ordered the Chilli Garlic Noodles with some Chaas to go along.

Decor - Basic theme, almost resembles a jungle atmosphere. Wooden logs converted into seating and tables. Pretty neatly done. However, the restaurant is very dimly lit, and in places where the sun doesn't shine, it gets even darker.

Ambiance - Don't remember any background music being played. As I was the only one around, didn't really have an issue with chatter from any surrounding table.

Food & Beverage - Large quantity. Real VFM pricing. Could have easily shared between 2 people and still been full. The Chaas was tasty as well.

Service - Again, no complaints as I was the only one around. Tended to pretty quickly.

In summary, a decent place for a one time dine. Nothing remarkable that pulls you back with the idea of making it a regular spot. Cheers.

Ordered Phulka & Punjabi Kukkad masala.

Tried Punjabi Kukkad masala for the 1st time and it was good and could've been little more spicy. Received small onions and Mint Chutney which really added taste to the dish.

Quantity : 4.5/5
Packaging : 4/5
Taste : 3.5/5
Value for Money : 3.5/5

Loved this place during my college days, decided to revisit it on a whim, with the missus. The ambience could have been improved is what I felt. One of the saving graces of this outlet was it's rustic feel along with posters of icons from Hollywood's past. They also used to play famous Bollywood hits from the past. Both the posters and the music were missing and we were told that people found that to be an issue in other outlets of Sachin Ka Dhaba. Seriously?! Such a bunch of snowflakes!
Regarding the food, they have maintained the taste at all levels. We ordered a plate of French Fries (the missus loves them, forgive us), Murgh Malai Kabab, Afghani Chicken Half, Pudhina Paratha and Chicken Kukkad Masala. We missed out on the Lassi as we lost account of our tummy space. The Kukkad Masala was a perfect match for the Pudhina Paratha. The Afghani Chicken .. damn tasty !! We will visit this place again for sure !!

Been here yesterday after almost couple of years. This time with my colleagues. Had vegetable dum biriyani, punjabi panner and lassi. No disappointments. Friends had lucknowi chicken biriyani and sarsong ka saag- receipe ingredients are mustard leaves, spices and ghee. Good combination was makki di roti. Overall good , along with service and ambience too.

I usually order from this restaurant and haven't dined. So my rating is not based on ambience it's just the food. I've ordered like 5 times here and have never been disappointed. Its a mystery why their rating is poor.. Despite the low rating I would suggest this place.

Restaurant is very nice. Very Good as the staff was always available when required and made sure I was happy with everything. South Indian food, specially those who love their spices.

This place used to be our favorite restaurant during our school and college days. Over the years, things have gone south and it is disheartening. However, some of the dishes at this place still stand out and outperform the current favorite Dhabbas in town.

The ambience needs to be taken care of with more attention to detail. Although not unbearable, definitely can be much better. Furniture and interiors are good but the lighting needs a serious revisit and change; can't be this dull.

Staff service is good and the people are friendly. This has been consistent since 1999. Another feature which has retained its splendor since 1999 is the awesomeness of their Lassi.

The entrance of the place might not be very appealing. it might give a haunted house feeling. the place could have been located elsewhere when compared to the other sachin ka dabba outlets. its a very dull lit place though there will be no complaints about the food and taste. prices are little ok ok and not not too nominal. gulab jamuns are a must try

Sachin ka dhaba the name adds up a lot of expectations. Well it does live up to its name of providing quality food and service. The ambience seemed a bit dull with all the gloomy atmosphere. The butter chicken was good , tawa chicken was pretty okayish , although the naans and roti were good too, hakka noodles is total skip thou you clearly don't want end up forgetting the actual taste is hakka noodles , and the final drink Malai lassi was good!! Overall 3.5/5 Ambience - 2.5/5 service 3/5

Sachin Ka Dhabba, the name is enough to describe the place. Have been here only once but the place stole my heart. The interior design blowed my mind. The furniture they use, the way they decorate the place, the theme of the whole restaurant was really jaw dropping. There's a bit room for improvement in the air conditioning and the entrance.
Enough for the architecture, now let's have a talk your taste buds like. The food was above average. The service was not as expected but the smile on their face will fill the gap. Waiting for my meal really made me think that I was the first customer in the place for the day. But as there's a saying, the fruit of patience is sweet, holds true. Really loved the food.

It was a Sunday evening. We decided to try dhabba on that lazy day. Sachinn ka dhabba was my first choice . To our astonishment the place was literally empty. We ordered our heart full and had a wonderful time. Food is good and price is reasonable. Varieties are better than dhabba express . #4.5/5 #visitonce

A small walk from my college hostel and that would be Sachin ka Dhabha. The food is the real dhabha style with papad and green chutney that serve the perfect appetizer. The food is on the spicy side and you are in for a treat if you like spicy food. The ambience is good with dim set up and wooden furniture. Go for the tasty and spicy food. Price is reasonable.

A decent place to have North Indian food though the standards have fallen recently. Their dal tadka was right from my mom' kitchen or so it felt.

3.5 rating is mainly for their Paneer Butter Masala. Dragan and Paneer aloo are unique with excellent taste. Jilebi is one of their best sweet.

For starters, this place is currently being renovated from the outside so be on the look out for their sign which is very viewable from the Mahalingapuram flyover.
The ambience set up in here was just brilliant, it shows you how much they've gone out of their way to create, not just an experience of good food, a fascinating adventure itself.
Dark and cozy, with tiny lamps lit up here and there, whereas at the front of the dining area are a couple of tables that are directly beneath an artistic impression that has generously used the VIBGYOR effect, thus lighting up the place wonderfully.
Now coming to the food, we ordered butter chicken and butter naan alongside their lassi, mango lassi and sweet lime soda, having been in Chennai for quite a while now I've come to taste various styles of this ancient Indian dish - butter chicken, but here at SkD I've tasted an authentic style that I've never had before.. so exquisite was the taste that it stopped me in my tracks, the butter naan was equally good being crisp and soft making it perfect along with the chicken.
And to gulp this down, the lassi was just mind blowingly awesome ! Perfect creaminess and splendid in taste, a tall glass of this and you're bound to weigh more !
The only drawback was the prices, a little to steep for many items, but on the whole an authentic North Indian joint !

I just couldn't resist giving 5/5 for my favourite destination..... I just live their ambience n dishes.
Grill chicken with rotis n Punjabi chicken masala is my favourite. Nevertheless that exotic lassi. Only thing to complain is the parking.... They don't have parking space nor valet n d locality also does not allow any adjacent parkinga.... Still give it 5.

One of the few places in Chennai to have good North Indian food. The ambience is also decent and one can have a sumptuous meal without a dig on his/her pocket.
Though the only problem is you have to wait a lot for your order.
A must visit for North Indians!

Soul stirring, smacking rotis. Yellow dal, tandoori chicken and butter chicken masala played their successful roles but its the roti that stole hearts. Read it right, roti.

While looking for a place to have my dinner on my way back from Numgambakkam, I stumbled upon Sachin Ka dabha. The place was little gloomy with low light, but felt comfortable when inside the restaurant. I wanted to have something on the Rice and decided to go for the Hyderabadi Chicken Biriyani and placed my order for the same.
They provided me the usual roasted papads along with Onions and Pudina mix, the Signature Sachin ka dabha way of welcome which i always enjoyed.
The biriyani came a little while after. The taste was Ok and the served Quantity was good too. Specifically on the biriyani, I felt it not Typical Hydrabadi, but a hybrid variety, But nevertheless, it was good.
The cost is also in line with most others, however, the Service charges accompanied with the Bill deserved a mention :) (The rates on menu will look very attractive which is - the 12 % Service charges)

On seeing the paper advt Full tandoori chicken @ 95/- .. I stepped in at 1.00 p.m.with my family(3), I found I was the first to greet them. My order was Kadai Prawn, Fish Briyani, Chicken Noodels, Chicken Pulao next was the full tandoori @ 95/-, the waiter informed the full tandoori was only on take away and not served.. so I had to pack my order all this for 725 (including packing charges).. It's neither expensive nor tastier but you will have to wait for the service. Never order for the Kadai Prawn as It's the worst dish.

Sachin ka dhaba is one of oldest North Indian cuisine restaurants in Chennai. Taste is of course great and Lassi was great but they need to go for a restructuring. It looks kind of old, they need it give it a new look.

Perfect north indian punjabi food place. Authentic punjabi food and their taste is yummy. Been here multiple times and its worth it. Must try is their tandoori, paneer and lassi. Ambiance is a little different from any other normal restaurants. A nice place for people planning for family outings and lunch dates with friends.

Food was good.. but items Ordered came randomly. Like soup order and ordered for starters. Starters came in 1st. Took 15 mins -20 mins for soup. But later other items came quickly. Price was really good. Looks costly initially. But 4+ it would cost ₹500 on an avg.

Located near the overbridge near T Nagar. If you are fond of vegeterian food and cozy place, this place is for you. Place is not that much light but you will get a old feel here with tree trunk style of chairs and table. Compararively daytime less rush. Food quality is good and quantity is enough for two people. Price also average. Staffs are helpful. Do visit if you want to taste something different.

Food is quite tasty. Veg lovers, try panner tikka for its soft, juicy and smoky flavor. For non-veg lovers, try mutton saag.
