Puttu was freshly prepared and served hot with Vellam, Coconut milk, Sundal gravy along with one banana.
Filter Coffee was fine, but the midnight atmosphere feel made it even better.

When you are traveling in a highway to Chengalpattu, stop by and do check in.

I have visited this place for couple of times with my cousin during our trip to kanchipuram. It's an Awsome place for veg lovers. The south indian meal was simply superb. Delicious andhra stlye podi is served with melted butter, curd, rasam, sambhar, seasonal veggies, Carrot and some other fries. I also had butter masala dosai it is simply superb, kesari is tasted Good. Veg combo is also Awsome.

The Service here are really amazing..and Also it is Kinda Expensive for Breakfast we went in and had breakfast then atlast got a Bill of ₹600 and was shocked. But The Ambience was good. We also Got Complimentary Sweet at the Beginning. We ate more but only posting some pics here.

Went to this place on a Sunday morning for breakfast it's located on NH45 near maraimalai Nagar. Ample parking space was there. Since it was Sunday morning the place was buzzing with crowd, we were greeted with complimentary bread halwa, the service was fast and hospitality was good, food was also good. Pricing is on par with similar restuarants. Its worth visiting this place while travelling on that way.
Perfect ambience nd taste. The rasam vadda is highlighted nd the taste was awesome for sure. I ordered thrice the same dish.... The non vegans must this for sure.

In the recent past this restaurant really picked up as i could see whenever I travel this side, not leaving this without tiffen here. Food, ambiance hospitality listening our feedback all are quite ok...but why like charging extra 10/- for a package water?? It is 50% more of MRP....
Good restaurant.... Nothing much to say about this restaurant except the name of this restaurant sounds funny... Good standard is maintained... My only complaint is the environment of the restaurant... It's sort of disturbing which will definitely soil the mood to eat your food (personal review)
Unexpectedly while on a industrial visit stopped here for breakfast. The place is located near the industrial hub of Maraimalai Nagar on GST Road. We were welcomed with a sweet pongal on entry. Ordered Idly, Medu Vada, Dosa and coffee. Everything was fresh and tasty. A lot of people from surrounding areas were having breakfast here with full occupancy. Service is quick and prompt. Price is reasonable too.

One of the best places to have food on the highway and its open 24 x 7!
We have already had lunch there and recently got to have a mid night dinner. This place has different floors allocated for different varieties of food and the ground floor for vegetarians. The place is air conditioned mildly , and neatly maintained and hence gives us the feel of entering a costly restaurant. But the food is really affordable here ; If not cheap , you'll at least find the food to be worth the money.
Their meals consist of unlimited servings of rice , tasty sambar , rasam , kozhambu and curd. They dont shy away from giving those extra appalams too. They provide you with spicy dhall powder , ghee , pickle , and even Paanagam - all at supreme quality. Coming to their dinner dishes , we only got to try their south indian dishes. We went in by around 1:30 am and were told only south indian dishes are available (We honestly dont want to complain , just stating) and we ordered a variety of dosas and chapathis. All the varieties of dosas were yummy and crispy. The service was excellent - whatever requests we kept were well tended to. The parotta and chappathi with channa tasted good too.
On the whole , a must visit place , if you are in and around maraimalainagar , and for people travelling to SRM University , ZOHO , etc. - you too can try this place out for lunch or dinner.

My friend Reception held in Hotel Vassi Palace. In ground floor only this restaurant was located. As starter they served some soup. Its taste was too bad. Unable to have 2nd sip. But other dishes was really excellent. It was almost equal to home made preparation. Those who love spicy food, have sambar rice here. Veg pulav with panner butter masala taste was awesome. Curd rice with lemon pickle & vathakuzhambu taste was as same like home preparation. Except soup, I loved to eat other items here.
On 06.04.2016 I chose this hotel for my lunch. When I came out I had a complete satisfaction and felt very happy for excellent lunch and service. I have almost visited all star hotels and famous restaurants in Chennai. I have never experienced such a tremendous service crew in any hotel. I have not raised my hand single time to call a waiter for service. Very frequently they come and ask for what we want. Food was so tasty and fantastic. Keep it up Saapida Vaanga floor service team and management for giving this complete satisfaction for all the guests. KUDOS!!!
I went on a lazy afternoon craving for a south indian meal with my friend,the hospitality is really very warm and welcoming.The ambience is also cozy and comfortable.The restaurant being located on the highway sure does help you relax a bit.The food also consists of good variety in a meal thali.The price is fixed at 150/- per plate and it is very reasonable for the quantity.The taste quality varied the second time i went there.More or less i had a pleasant experience.Food is also quite good only.You can definitely consider going here.:)
Consistently good food. They never go wrong with their food. Authentic south indian tiffin. I never had the chance to have lunch though.
Had their poori,mini tiffin,idly,dosa and coffee. They gave a complimentary bread halwa which was full of ghee and melted in mouth in no time.
The food is a bit pricey but these people score on hospitality which makes us forget everything. They make u feel really gud. Stop by this place if u pass by this place;-)

Nothing out of ordinary but good enough for a change from the regular grind. We were welcomed with Panagam- a drink made with Jaggery and Ginger. It was nice and soothing and acted as an appetizer. We had Rotis with Mushroom Masala and Paneer Manchurian. We also had Paneer fried rice with Gobi Manchurian. Gobi seemed to have been overcooked, Paneer Manchurian a bit watery. Rotis and Mushroom Masala were cooked well and tasted good. Since I work at MM Nagar, it was a welcome change from regular office food.
If you are driving on NH45 would recommend this place for lunch. Had hot and tasty veg south indian meals. Good service and reasonably priced.
Visited this place with few of my friends for breakfast. The staffs were courteous enough to welcome us and take us to our seats. The interior ambience was decent. We were given bread halwa as soon as we occupied our seats. Believe me ! You would order it twice if you're a sweets lover. We then ordered plain dosa, idly and fresh juice. Everthing tasted really nice. Overall experience was good except the fact that it was bit over-priced.If you're travelling south and if you want to stop by for breakfast, you should definitely check out this place.

Located on NH 45 some distance from SRM College, this restaurant serves pure veg food. We dropped in for breakfast.
The welcome was very warm. We were given an option of choosing between Buffet and the conventional a-la-carte. We chose the latter.
The food items were very good. It was less oily, not much spicy and felt good for the taste buds. The coffee was also good. The service was prompt.
Overall it was a good experience. This is a good alternative to the otherwise regular restaurants like Sangeetha and A2B.

As you drive down NH45 towards Chennai in the sweltering heat this is a restaurant you look forward to ! Located in Chengalpet Sapida Vanga offers tasty and filling meals. Opt for the meals you would not be disappointed. North Indian meals ,I was told will take time and the biriyani we ordered was just ok .The meal was filling with roti ,subzi, vathakulambu,sambhar,rasam ,payasam ,sweet and an appalam bigger than the plate. Overall good option for south Indian meals
Many changes recently. Lot of upgrades. Visited twice the same day after a boring work at SRM. Loved the food. The hotel is best one in the grand south trunk road. A++ rating. Really good service. Amazingly busy. 2 options - buffet & regular. Morning tiff-fin is super awesome with thick chutney + complimentary sweet. The best hotel on GST seriously. Lunch served with Pannakkam + sweet. Even the appalam was size of a thaali plate! Never saw any other hotel do this way. Wish hotels like A2B learned few lessons from them. Overall outlook - Professional!
Stopped for breakfast. Heavily crowded. Would have to share a table if not in groups of more than 4 or 5. A decent place, staff is very responsive and courteous. Food was decent, a tad overpriced, i felt. Would definitely come back if i have to travel along that way again.

Food quality is good most of the times. Response from the waiters will be a bit slow Due to the rush. But orders will come fast after giving the order. Better than most of the hotel in the area. It's a great place to have a quick lunch or dinner while traveling.

For a while, the Vassi Palace hotel was the only 3-star hotel other than SRM Hotel on the GST Road Tambaram - Chengalpet stretch... their restaurant "Sappda Vanga" as expected has good ambience and a wide variety of dishes on the menu, however the food quality or taste is very average and even the service is not up to the mark. Overall 3.5 stars from me
This restaurant on the highways serves some really worthy tasty food.Unlike many city veg restaurants, this restaurant also serves kerala special Puttu Kadala and Andhra special Pesarattu.The chole puri here is double the size of the chole puri in saravana bhavan,The filter coffee was also good.The service is quick.

Sappda Vanga is a restaurant that is set up in the most required/wanted place for those who keep travelling in towards chengelpet or any other connecting areas. This restaurant serves a beautiful buffet for breakfast which is really impressive as they serve a wide variety of indian and western cuisine. The taste is good and so is the presentation. One disappointing thing about this place is that, when u enter the restaurant for breakfast, they pressurise you to take the buffet instead of ala carte. also the attendees in the reception are not completely professional in handling the customers. either the reception is too crowded or the ladies present themselves with over make up! otherwise there is not much complaints about the food or the ambiance.

Planned to take an untimely drive through the GST and we reached here past lunch time. Should say, they had a pretty decent menu even at around 2.30PM, not all dishes from A la Carte was available, but didn't disappoint.
At a scorching 43 degree Celsius outside I would have given them a big hug if they had their AC running properly(Half the restaurants don't work at these hours so I can take that.) We found ourselves seated in no time owing to the time we chose to drop in. We were determined not to go with the normal meals, so we tried pushing him a little bit for some Chinese and Tandoori. At 2.30 in the afternoon imagine someone who is ready to serve you tandoori and Chinese, in that locality. And yes they took a while to serve. Panneer Fried Rice and Pulav, it was decent and not so different from any other rice bowls we get in Chennai. And I suspected them to spoil it somewhere in the Manchurians, they didn't. It was just as good, but I doubt if they needed THAT much Garlic in a Baby-corn Manchurian. Parents didn't want the risk so went with curd rice which arrived within minutes after ordering, and ummm, lovely. Getting a yummm from a Brahmin Family for curd rice is not so easy :P. And by the time we finished, it was almost 3:30. SNACKS time, Ordered a coffee, but sadly it came luke warm(even after telling the waiter we want it EXTRA HOT.) Nothing to complain as such but truly a saver when you're on the highway and you're starving.
One big caution, they showed a rare habit of mixing between the veg and non-veg kitchens, so just tell them before you order.

Very good veggie hotel in Guduvancherry area. A2B in guduvancherry is always rush. So u can prefer this hotel than A2B and Sathyam. All waiters are from Chinese. So making an order is a bit tedious . But with average ambience. And good tasty food it deserves to visit every time

Its located in quite an apt place. Not as close to Tambaram nor as far as the hotel highway inn. I went to this restaurant on the way to pondi. It was very crowded and I was a little apprehensive about the food, I know its the usual south Indian breakfast but cooking it right is whats important.
We ordered the usual breakfast food, starting with idli vada. Really soft idlis and vada is one of the best. We actually ordered a couple of extra vadas, that tasty it was. We had dosa after that and that too was excellent. Just the right crispiness and not too much oil at all. The coffee comes in tumblers which are a tad smaller but no complaints about the taste. They serve this inji chutney which is quite a healthy option for all the heavy south indian dishes. And it tastes good too. Sambar, chutney all are good.
All the servers are north Indians and knowing hindi makes ordering easier. One of the quickest services I've ever seen. They are so fast and so efficient that I literally got my Dosa in a jiffy.
Real good option for people travelling through that area. Hope they maintain their standard in the future too.
We were returning from the city after a movie. It was nearly 2 AM. We were really hungry and thus was the only restaurant open at this hour in this area. We went there and ordered dosa. It tasted really good. The ambiance is really good . It is present near the lounge of a hotel. It was lively even at that hour. Service was prompt. Valet parking was available. It's a good restaurant to have decent Indian food.

Sappda vanga is a welcome near Srm engineering college, where apart from roadside eateries or college facility, you have few other Family dining places.
Huge dining area, but very crowded always. Staff really welcoming, attentive to your order and courteous. Good service altogether. They have a buffet hall and separate a la carte section.
I stopped here for breakfast. Food is decent- idly, dosa, pongal vada was served quick. A good part was when I asked for an extra idly too- they served in a separate plate with sambar and chutney. Usually places refuse to serve/parcel single idlies. Juices, tea, coffee available.
Now on your way to kanchipuram you can always stop by here for breakfast.
