Amaze cakes and breads. The price could be a little less but then the taste usually blinds me to the price. Have always ordered birthday cakes here and they always get it done on time! So it was a double celebration for us at the house.. #1 my dad's 70th birthday for which we ordered a giant 3kg red velvet cheesecake customised as per tastes and considering the cholestrol level of the family members in the house. I can proudly say that after Starbucks India, this place has given me another perfect pleasure of devouring red velvet cake. Scrumptious, tasty, creamy that hits you on right on the G-Spot of your palette.. vibrant yellow color made it even more appealing to dig in & eat my tummy out till it's over..
#2 dark chocolate truffle royale cake. Baby ccake for the premier anniversary of my cousin. Exact right amount of chocolate with correct bitterness. I've hardly found any bakery shop in chennai that makes this good dark chocolate truffle cake. Wherever I've went I've eaten sweet cakes 😋 but this one turned out to be the awesomest dark chocolate cake that I have had in the city of Chennai. Apart from these two, I've tasted litchi pastries which again is quite refreshing and hardly gives u any minute points to complain about. Cake walk has become my favorite bakery shop. Little pricey but worth the taste. I don't mind paying little extra for the good taste.

Stressed spelt backwards is desserts and I run to cakewalk whenever I am stressed, the mouthwatering cakes melt all the worries away. This place can seem a bit pricy as there are cakes that cost you nearly 200 rupees for just a single piece of it. But every single penny spent here is worth it for the amazing creations. I recently ordered my son's birthday cake from Cake Walk Nunkambakkam after seeing some great reviews here and also hearing about them from a friend. Best decision ever! They were very helpful in suggesting what cake to order ( went with the good ole chocolate truffle) and once I provided the image they immediately confirmed the order. I needed the cake delivered in Mylapore and they arranged for that at an extra charge. The cake arrived well in time for the birthday party and looked gorgeous! The kids and their parents loved the cake - it was perfectly moist and chocolatey. I was initially a bit hesitant to order an eggless cake but it turned out to be yummy. Thank you guys for such a great job!
The Turkish delight was delight indeed. The caramel brownie less so but it was good too. They packed the pastries well for a take away. Please tell experience.

Very good quality stuff. Birthday cakes and muffins are really good. Parking could be a challenge on weekends and evening. Opening time is 10 not 9 am. Staff needs to be trained for customer communication.

Cool place for very good cakes. The cakes are delicious and soft. The Oreo cheesecake was the best. They have an amazing variety to try. The ambience is really good. Parking is not a problem here. Really good place to sit enjoy some really delicious pastries. Had a very good experience.

I Regularly buy their chocolate cake for any occasion at home. Rest assured as its fast moving you are always bound to get a fresh moist cake. Can't always vouch for the other cakes though as they may be old. This time tried their red velvet cake. Was nice and fresh. Also tried some macaroons. The macaroons were dissappointing. Slightly old and too sweet.
My favourite cake spot in chennai I say....reasanobly priced ....will go for Choco truffle and butterscotch noughat...Good place to have ideal meet with friends.

Well what can I say about Cake walk.. been here on numerous occasions.. the quality of cakes and pastries are the best. Wouldn’t go anywhere else ever for cakes. Best in terms of quality and taste. Rating and reviewing for the first time though.. but nonetheless it’s the best place for cakes and pastries.

Macarons have become a recent favorite and I cannot stop eating them. On my quest to find the best selection in the city, I made two stops. One at the @theleela and @cakewalk , Chennai.
A fancier looking box with vibrant baubles from Leela (₹560) and the usual carton from Cake Walk (₹350). Macarons from both the places were soft and chewy. However, taste wise, the ones from Cake Walk were better. The other 6 were stale and this is not acceptable from an institution such as Leela. I'm not going to comment on the taste as they were not fresh.
If I had to choose a favourite it would be the chocolate from Cake Walk.
P.S : This review was written whilst sipping on tea and macarons made by a friend and I think we have a winner! #sorrynotsorry

According to me, I would say this is the best cake shop available in Chennai. The cakes are made with delicacy and perfection. The taste of the cakes are heaven like,so yummy. Must try dishes i would recommend here is Red velvet cake & tart. This is the perfect place to go on a date or to visit on special moments. If you are a sweet tooth ,you would love this place.

A decent bakery, we ordered red velvet, chocolate muffin, a chicken puff and a quiche. The chocolate muffin was good and the red velvet was decent. The puff and quiche didn't seem so fresh although we had visited in the morning.
It is just awesome ! Tasted choco truffle in cake walk , it was damn good ! Kudos to the team . Every thing was perfect in that one . Ambience of the shop was also equally good .
A nice place to chill. Loved the Chocolate truffle, it's the best. Double Chocolate Mousse was to die for !! Blueberry cheesecake was good as well.

I have been here so many times but this is my first review for Cake Walk. Whenever I come here to eat some cakes I will go into confusion because what all I see there will looks awesome and mouth watering. I will go crazy before placing order. My favourite is Red Velvet Brownie and Nutella Bar which I have attached below. Also what all i tried here was too tasty and yummy. Anyone trying for first time can order anything blindly.
Rating credits goes to CHOCO RED VELVET CHEESECAKE ❤️ Every red velvet fan ...please go and have a taste of it..its around 160 bucks but i bet you wont regret paying for it! But generally cakes are best here!
Cake walk is one of well know cake shop were we can get best party cakes ...the layer of cake and cream is too soft and delicious ....and apart from party cakes ,the other items sold there like bread , mousse cake,muffins , pastry etc are good too...it's a must visit place to everyone...the cost may be high but the products are worth the price 👍
I have never rated 5.0 Zero for anyone yet. This place has a good ambience. Choco Truffle and Black Current is the best and My Favorite. If your Date is a Sweet Tooth, Calk Walk is a best Option. It's Low in Cost and Best Quality.
One of the best dessert spots in Chennai. The shop has a neat and comfortable ambience. The service is good and it definitely provides a range of delicious desserts at a reasonable cost. My personal favourite ones are Choco mousse, Blue berry cheesecake, Chocolate truffle, Nuttela bar cake and Black currant. Never stepped out of the shop without getting a take away of atleast 3 different cakes. :)

Cake walk is easy to locate.. It is below Crisp Cafe, on Nungumbakam main road.. It is 15 mins drive from ampa Skywalk. Neat ambiance wooden interiors, calm and relaxing to have dessert after lunch or dinner.
I ordered raspberry rose cake. It was soft, juicy, moist and full of flavours. I liked the after taste of it.
Will I try again? Certainly.

Have been through this road for years now but has noticed the whole building only as Crisp cafe and Cake Walk is one small bit just for cakes. 1st assumption went wrong.
Second wrong one considering the location which is on the main road of an important area, I thought price would be on the higher side for sure.
So I go there just to pick the 1/2 kg cake for my friend's b'day ordered two hours back then and after I reach, I noticed those Rolls, tarts, pies and many short eats. To prove my two assumptions wrong, I had parcel the snacks turned into lunch even though it's light on stomach.
CHICKEN ROLL was crisp with a good quantity which almost ended my appetite. Paneer properly cooked and mixed with chilli, coriander among others is PANEER PIE. The taste of these two was decent but it was unfortunately cold, even though it says Oven Fresh and eaten just after 30 mins.
Walnut BANANA MUFFIN again with a good quantity for the price was nicely served and tasted great indeed. And finally it was the fine textured, cute presented, chocolate creams overloaded CHOCO TRUFFLE CAKE at 1/2 kg 500 /- was worth every bite. Must try.
The total bill was 670 for four items, so this has raised my expectations on Crisp Cafe which I heard
it's expensive as well.
Overall - No second thoughts this is a perfect place for short eats, romantic to friend's gang meets, casual to business meets and of course with some exceptional cakes. Love. 😍
This is officially my favourite cake shop in Chennai. Yes it is a bit pricey but the food is just as amazing. I just love their Choco lava cake. Their chocolate truffle cake and cheesecakes are just as good. Actually everything is tooo good. If you have enough money buy it all. :)

Location & Ambience: Located below Crisp Cafe on the sterling road this place is hard to miss. There is a common parking space for the bakery and cafe. There won't be a need for introduction but with respect to ambience there is no place for proper dining but there are chairs that will let you sit and enjoy your piece of cake.
Taste & Variety: I have been a regular to this place and this review is based on my recent visit to the place. I decided for a takeaway so the order was Lychee Rose cake, Butter Scotch cake and Nutty Tart.
Nutty Tart, the flaky and buttery tart loaded with crunchy caramel coated nuts were delicious. I have always liked their tarts texture. The butter scotch cake was another good pick but I was not much fond of the strong or tonic alike flavour. But the cakes texture were moist and excellent. There chocolate cakes are famous but I am not a fan of their chocolate quality or taste.
Quality & Quantity: A piece of cake or tart would be ideal for a person. The quality is good.
Price: I paid Rs. 260 INR for the cakes and tart, they are reasonably priced.

This is easily one of the best bakeries in town. You get really different varieties and yummiest of cakes and bakes here. The red velvet brownie is a must try. It costs a 100 bucks and is to die for. The baked oreo cheesecake is another classic they have. It just melts in your mouth and has the right amount of sugar for u to crave more and more. I tried the banana walnut muffins which was nothing but heavenly. With its aroma, texture and taste, it's easily the best muffin you will have. Overall, the place has amazing decor and ambience for quick grabs of em delicious stuff. The service is self and pretty quick. Must visit.
One of the oldest bakeries in town, Cake Walk was a really nice experience. I had ordered a baked Oreo cheesecake which was very tasty. The whole aroma, the nicely done decor and the tasty food was what I really liked. It is not even that expensive.

As the month of October unfolds, we finally decided to celebrate the birthdays of September 😀 The choice of cake was the first to be decided. It was THE ROYALE RED VELVET 🎂 And as we looked out for options, I remembered trying out this particular cake at Cake Walk after a long long search. Hence decided to go with it. I had set the expectations to my friends regarding the cake, as the initial reaction at home after trying red velvet wasn't very exciting, though I was! As usual I was hoping everyone would enjoy it. As the cake was uncovered, I found that the frosting looked even more prettier than earlier. It was a treat to our eyes and that increased my expectations as well. And finally after the cake cutting when I had my share of the cake, I realized it was so damn good. I must say that, may be even again. It was literally such a delight to have had it. And all my friends enjoyed it as much as I did.
PS : I had to reduce the rating by 1 because the delivery took ages. I don't know if was my bad luck or it was just accidental, but the delivery was delayed by almost an hour. Hope such inconvenience is not caused in the future.
And for all those who would like to try the Premam special Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting, if it's for a birthday then you must definitely go ahead with Cake Walk. The quality and taste is guaranteed. Avoid refrigeration just before cake cutting, if the frosting becomes too hard it might not be as enjoyable as the creamy frosting is supposed to be.

Excellent cake. Got a Chocolate Truffle cake (eggless) for a relative's birthday and it was simply delicious. The price is a bit on the higher side (₹850 for a 1kg cake) but since an average one costs around ₹500 it is definitely worth it. While waiting there for my Uber I tried a Chocolate Muffin, which was surprisingly tasty, although quite dry for my taste. The ambience inside the shop is excellent so is the variety of cakes on display. Highly recommended.

I am visiting this place after four years, they have renovated the space and its visually appealing with a warm ambience and the green sterling avenue makes the place a delight to visit. Must try foods are Chicken Tapas (Panner for Veg), beef juicy burger and any chicken sandwiches. Unfortunately I was not impressed with their dessert options but if you’re a ‘pull me up cake’ fan, you can try the brownie pull me up cake
I've tried a piece of cake as a dessert several times in Chennai, it's always so sweet for me.
But 'Cakewalk' is different, I enjoyed 4 pieces of cake that well-made with good ingredients.
The only one beverage I can order was indian filter coffee. It was good.

We had their paneer makhani lasagna, hot chocolate brownie and their croissant. The lasagna was served super hot and tasted really good. The hot chocolate brownie with the icecream was a delight as well. The croissant was average, was more like a puff with little to no filling. Nice ambience and good service to look forward at the cafe.
We bought brownie cake for my grandson’s birthday. It was yummy and cake was decorated more than our expectations. The staffs are all very courteous. Keep it up.
Since it’s Easter today. I went to buy a cake 🎂 they were having wonderful collection of cake and their cake is top notch in the city. They having Peking space outside. They don’t have seating arrangements inside the cake shop though pandemic is still around. Other than that taste and ambience is good. Please try the cake walk and you will become a loyal customer after getting one !!!

If you are a pastry lover this is a must visit place. When you are inside you will feel like eating everything that’s in front of you. If you a vegetarian you have the option of munching eggless brownie and walnut date pie. Walnut date pie is an absolute heaven i would say.
