A fairly decent bakery that's located behind a bus stand at Besant Nagar. This is not just a bakery, but also a chat shop, juice shop and tea/coffee stall.
Parking needs to be done on the side of the road which is pretty easy here since the road is broad and there isn't much traffic at all times. Spotting this place can be tricky as it's hiding behind the bus stand.
I've been here a few times for snacks in the evening. The place has seating facility and also two waiters to come take the orders at the table. That's something special for a bakery.
All basic items such as chicken puffs, egg puffs, vegetable puffs, buns and rolls are always available. There are both cheap and costly cakes for all types of crowds. Chat items are also available in the evening. Fresh juices, tea and coffee are available throughout the day. One more good thing about this place is the rates are nominal and the same as other local bakeries nearby that offer products with lower quality.

A regular bakery I visit for small grabs. Quite a good varieties of juices and cakes are there. Being said that, its a regular bakery, a small place of cakes, puffs, juices.

A typical example for how bakery used to look during 90's sans the burgers n sandwiches. A cup of SP tea and an egg puff during rainy days is bliss. They also have fresh fruit juices n milkshakes. The coconut bun and cream bun used to bring back my childhood memories :) The apple cake and honey cake are my other favourites here. Fuss free, no fancy stuff place at very nominal price.

This place, located at Vannanthurai junction on MG Road, is the perfect place for a quick bite. I believe they have renovated this place. The items are woth the money. They also have fresh juices and hot drinks. I had a veg burger and a veg sandwich roll. Both together costed 45 bucks. I would say pretty good value for money. Will definitely go again and try their other items.

We love coming here for a couple of puffs and coffee for breakfast. The pastry is divine and the coffee delicious. The staff are so friendly and kind even though we only speak English! Thank you for you patience! See you in the morning !

This bakery is very clean and neat. Tea and snacks are good with cheap rate. Fine dining and table service is there here. It's one of The best bakery for tea and snacks at besant nagar.

Had a tea and a coffee again today. Good place to hang out for a short to long chat with Tea or Coffee. But note seatings and tables are very small for longer time sit chats. If you are someone who wants to have a budget snacks with good juice or tea and if you can stand and talk for hours, this place is for you... Try milkshakes and Lemon tea...
Nice party place for 200/250 people on E. C road. Enclosed and open air spaces available. A short drive from South Chennai. With nice lighting and audio equipment it can be a happening place for celebrations.
It's my favourite shop from childhood till now.. whenever I visit vannanthurai or Adyar I will never miss their spl tea and yummy biscuits.. lovely bakes fan since 8 years..

SP tea is awesome. This place is a bakery, juice, tea, sandwich shop. Bread omelette is a good addition. Try mushroom and egg puff , dont miss the ginger tea otherwise called SP chai. I love honey cakes also here. It's pretty light on ur purse.
Shops opens at 5:30. Good place to take black coffee, lemon tea and some food items also available. You can visit here.
Best place to have evening snack in and around Besant Nagar. One and only Snack place where they first serve you water as welcome gesture. "Virunthombal" Is best served here

Special Tea (SP Tea - Ginger Tea) is excellent and Coconut bun is also quite good. Try honey cakes too.
This is a good place to have a cup of tea or burger. Has cool drinks sections and people are good too.
