I have tried bread baji. This shop is always busy with their kachori, vadapav and bread Baji. Costs 30Rs. No seating. Have to stand and enjoy bread Baji.

Best way to enjoy rains could be ftesh hot vada pavs with green chillis.
Living in sowcarpet since childhood, this mithaiwala was my favourite for vada pavs. I used to have vada pavs just for Rs.5/- during my childhood. Now it is Rs.25/- and affordable. It has the same taste since then and is my favourite even now. They also serve famous bread bajji, kachoris and samosas but vada pav stands my favourite
This shop reminds me of days i used to have it with my friends and play pranks with them.

😝hiding plenty of chillis in between the vada and pav, and feeding my friend with love😝 try this with other friends and have fun.

Food - 5/5 🤑
Ambience - 1/5😑

They're very much known for their Vada pav. One of the most famous in Sowcarpet - a tiny shop but serves a must eat and most yummiest Vadapavs!

Went here exclusively to try their Vada Pavs, Dhoklas and Kachoris and we weren't disappointed. Their Vada Pav wins hands down. That doesn't mean that the other two tasted bad either. Vada Pav was so hot and it took a while for us to finish it. Taste was complemented well with the red chutney coated on the inside of the Pav. Kachoris were good and worked well with the sweet chutney and chilli.

Their Dhoklas in the mithaiwala branch were served with ample amount of mint chutney. However the chutney was quite bland. 4 big pieces of Dhokla for 30 Rs was Very much VFM. No complaints with the taste of Dhoklas.

One each of Vada Pav, Dhokla and Kachori costed us 100 bucks which is very much cheaper than other chat joints on the mint street. At the end of the day, it was a full stomach and a happy heart!

It's been eight years since I have shifted to Chennai from Mumbai and since then I was wondering if I could get my favorite chat in the streets of Mumbai the VADA PAV!!! Been to goli VADA pav and various other places but none of them were even close to what I had in Mumbai.. But the moment I took the first bite out of that mouthwatering VADA PAV I felt as if was having a VADA pav in Mumbai... After a long while... Enjoyed a great dish...

Went here around 7pm,was quite crowded.First I had samosa, which was average and then ordered vada pav. This is where I had my first taste of vada pav. The bun was fresh and soft, which is lined with awesome chutney, with a crispy vada embedded into it. It costed ₹20. It's one of the must trys here and it's an absolute vfm place

As a part of the foodwalk that happened recently, checked out this place for vada pav. Was crowded and managed to get a vada pav. Priced at 20 bucks, the vada was hot and spicy and easily one of the best vada pav I've had so far. The red chutney smeared inside the pav along with the heat from the crispy vada was an awesome combination.

Loved the vada Pav here. Probably the best vada Pav joint in Chennai. They have bread bhajjis, kachoris n others too. Tried em out. They were decent. Highlight was the vada Pav though. Definitely would be back for some vada pavs.

Very good vadapavs.. Particularly the cheese vada pav with mirchi tastes wonderful. Not very hard to find the place, remember this s sowcarpet!!! Freshly made in front of u.. It's very famous and has patrons who swear that it s the best u can have in chennai!! It was one such patron who introduced me to this tiny shop. Okay definitely not a let down. An on-the-go kinda place... U can halt grab the warm vada pav wrapped in a paper and have it on the go! Thats it! Must place to bookmark and visit while u r nearby. Also try their mirchi bhajjis (which are not hot always though).

The best Vada Pav joint in town... end of story. My biggest gripe with them, not open on all Sundays. Complete Value for Money and their theeka masala used for the vada pav is heavenly.

The review is for MBM at 325 Mint Street. The same lane as the legendary Novelty Tea House. Its a very small outlet churning out probably the best Vada pav's in town. When I was there I had the opportunity to try them fresh and hot. They were so yummy. You can wolf down a couple of those delicious babies in no time ;)

They also have bread bajji and other snacks but its the VP which sells like hot cakes. Doesn't burn a hole in your pocket too.Definitely a must try!! - with Raj Ganesh

Just a bit of introduction to Mehta Bros on Mint Street.  They have 2 shops, one @ 310 Mint Street and another @ 325 Mint Street.  The location @ 325 Mint Street serves the best Vada Pav in town.  I have had one of the best Vada pavs in Mumbai @ Ashok Vada Pav near Kirti College and Mehta's definitely is good based on that experience.  You can try other items like Bread Bhajji at this location but you may probably decide to have more than 1 Vada Pav. :-)

The other location @310 Mint Street also offers a lot of popular Gujarati snacks.  Don't have a review for that at this time.

I have heard so much about Mehta Borthers vada pav. Finally, yesterday got a chance to come to this part of the town. I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. It is situated in a very narrow lane in Mint Street, perpendicular to NSC Bose Road. The entrance from NSC Bose road on the Walltax road side is narrow, so it is always best to park your vehicle and walk around.

As I was walking in the Mint Street from Kakada Ramprasad, my worst fears came true. The crowd, arm jostling crowd in the ever crowded Sowcarpet. Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations were going on and a number of police were staffed everywhere. So it was quite a daunting experience to cross the  NSC Bose road junction and go across to the other side of Mint Street.
Just a 2 min walk and I was standing outside Mehta Bros. I could not quite believe that a shop so small could be so famous, so I stood and double checked the name. But the menu was very limited, vada pav, samosa and few other items unlike the menu listed in Zomato. I came to try khakhara sandwich but did not find it there.

There is hardly any place to stand, so I just ordered a vada pav. I was surprised at the size of the vada, the pav paled in comparison to the size of the vada. And it tasted yum, piping hot. One glass of badam milk and one vada pav made me already quite full. My next stop was Golden Chaat. It is situated in NSC Bose Road. They serve murukku sandwich, and other type of sandwiches. My next stop was here to have their yummy murukku sandwich.

I am not sure if there is another Mehta Brothers somewhere close by as the menu here in Zomato is significantly different from what is in offer there. Just curious.

Awesomatic vada pav's in town ! U cant get a similar one anywhere in chennai. Identical to what we get in mumbai ! The place is very small but they sell almost 1000 vada pav's  (read somewhere in newspaper article). The place is always crowded. the price is very nominal and the taste is super cool ! Definitely a must visit for food lovers !

The search for an authentic vada pav ends at Mehta's vada pav. The vada pav outlet is located a few metres away from the mithai shop.

Reasonably priced with an excellent taste, the vada pav truly reminds you of the ones available in Mumbai and Pune. They'll mostly be served hot to you as every lot is finished within a few minutes. This one is definitely recommended for everyone.

Have tasted vada paav in pune on the way to shirdi. Tell you the vada paav in Mumbai region is ultimate. That too on a rainy day when you are hungry vada paav and hot chai my god it's heaven. After that experience I was searching for a similar place in Nama chennai and read about this in an food article.
This place is located in mint. Took an auto as was not familiar with this area asked a few people and hunted the place finally. I went int the evening around 7pm and was stunned by this small place,
They have vada paav, bread bajji, chilly bhaji on the menu. It does not have a dine in. You order and the main person places a vada paav on a piece of paper of you stand on the street and eat. You have the option of take away but if you order 10 or more pieces he will bundle them in single parcel. They are freshly made in front of you. The chutney is the trick it tastes great. Always crowded so no time to ask him extras. I heard he sells approx 1000 vada paavs every day. Must try. Value for money. They have a farshan shop close by haven't tried that. This place is near parrys corner and not Anna Salai as listed here.
