Very nice place to eat.. Tried masala dosa, rava masala dosa and south indian thali..all were tasty and of good quality.. Service was also very fast..must visit for tourist..
Always on my list if we prefer North Indian food.. Pav Bhaji, Tava Pulav, Roti & Sabzis are all great. Portion of sabzis should be looked into. Dont expect ambiene and parking. Visit here only for Food..and i am sure you wont be disappointed.

Pav bhaji and tava pulav is one the best in Chennai and service also very good ,good location and two wheeler parking...all staff are multi linguistics...can speak almost all languages required....can visit again and again for pav bhaji
Near to central station and very nice hotel for veg meal. Good taste of all food. We took pavbhaji in morning , dhosa in evening. Very good food. Decent hotel.

A decent place for having lunch dinner. Went there for lunch. Had their Tamil meals. Taste was good. Had sweetlime juice also. Price is okish.
Just at a walking distance from Chennai Central. Have been there mostly for dinner and always had an awesome experience. They have menu to serve for a customer of every age group. Best items on board Thattu idly, Pav Bhaji, Paneer Butter Masala. Any North Indian food lover passing or having a connecting train from Chennai Central should definitely try it.

Today we had our dinner here. We ordered masala dosa,idli and Thattu idling from South Indian dishes.All the south Indian dishes were good especially the sambhar and the three chutneys were awesome.
From North Indian dishes we ordered Butter Naan, Paneer Butter masala, Jeera rice and Dhall tadka. All the dishes were excellent. The combination of Jeera rice and Dhall with pappad was delicious.. would come again next time and try other dishes also recommend to others..

This has been a saviour for my inlaws for years now on every outing to chennai central railway station. The station has nothing to eat and if you are hungry and need some good food to eat this can be your go to option. Situated in the lane adjacent to the station (200 mts inside). The outlet serves some good south and north indian delicacies including pizza, sandwiches juices and shakes. I was having food here for the first time and it was a releif compared to the horrors of the station. We had ordered for a onion utthapam, medu vada and sev puri along with cold coffee. The chutney ( 3 varities served) was ok but the sambhar was good. Utthapam was good too but the vada had whole black peppers in it (something which you have to be careful about down south). The sev puri tasted great and the cold coffe was briiliant. All in all very satisfied with this small outlet. Satisfied my taste buds.
Shiv Sagar is a very old Restaurant located on Walltax Road. The old name of Shiv Sagar was Sukh Sagar. The food is really delicious. The best thing is that it is located near to central which help passengers to enjoy tasty North Indian and South Indian food.I would suggest people to try their Pav Bhaji, Kashmiri Naan, Tava Pulav, Masala Kulcha. These items are really very tasty in their menu.
In South Indian food list i would suggest people to try their Idly and Sambar which is really delicious :*They serve Hot idlies, You can see steam coming out from those idlies and its very much tasty too.They provide meals during lunch time which i dint find it tasty might be because i am North Indian and don't have much knowledge about the South Indian food :D
Location of this restaurant is the reason for my rating. Located just beside chennai central it is very convinient for the travellers staying in park town. It is the only decent hotel located in the vicinity. Interiors are minimal but comfortable and clean. Service is quick and staff are attentive. The air conditioning is a relief from the chennai heat. Coming to the food----food is delicious and nearly all the items both north & south indian are good. Quality is nice but quantity is less compared to the price. However it is an heaven to all the lodgers in Park Town.
A very good restaurant located near Chennai Central Railway Station.. on WallTax road.. for north indian and south indian vegetarian food lovers !! I have been there many times. Very good north indian and south indian breakfasts along with superb Daal, Sambhar we get here. Service is good.. though ambience is ordinary here.. but Really Excellent Taste and a must visit restaurant !!
Its a place were you can jump off the hunger and get yourself masala and spicy food. All items are good enough .
I myself have been their alot of times couple of years back . Now they have changed and improved a bit. Ambience is no great, food is good for the way it is.

Its a good place if you are staying near by the railway station for few days and need some decent food other than the street food. Place is quite ordinary but these people behave really well.
Luking for some gud north indian vegetarian food.. This is the best place one can visit while staying near the main railway station in chennai. The hospitality is very good, food is tasty with a huge variety. The only draw back the place has is that the food has got too much oil in it. Almost anything u order is filled with oil, health conscious ppl avoid the place for the rest of the bunch it is the place to go for some good food. The place will live upto ur expectations.
