Cascade is one of the best places for Chinese cuisine in the city! I have been to the one in Khader Nawaz Khan road too. This place served the same great food in generous portions.
We walked in late on a Sunday afternoon. Inspite of being late the staff were very accommodating.
We ordered
Hot and sour Chicken soup
Prawn tempura
Dragon Chicken
Thai fried rice
Szechuan fried rice
Hot and sour chicken soup was thick and one portion of it served three ppl.
We asked for medium sized prawns for tempura. It had a nice crunchy taste to it!
Dragon chicken was a classic here. It had sweet saucy and spicy flavour to it.
Thai fried rice was my favourite here.
Overall a great place for Chinese food!
PS: There is no dedicated parking space for the restaurant.

I went for a Sunday lunch here with my family. This place surprised me with one of the best Chinese food I've ever had! The ambience was calm and pleasant. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. Coming to the best part, The Food. Right from the Crab Meat soup to the final Fried Ice Cream, the quality and taste was just so good! The quantity was good enough for three of us! The Momos and the Nasi Goreng were great!
Visited this place first time the interior of the place was good the Gobi Manchurian fried rice noodles was good for the price the quality and the quantity of the food was yummy and delicious I wish there was 6 star rating in zomato. The casecade is best for the Chinise cuisine especially friedrice noodles .

The price looks huge but every portion has larger quantity then usual.
Soup comes in a huge bowl as u can see in the pic. One portion is enough for 3 ppl. Manchow chichen soup was tasty and was served with those fried noodles that u get in chinées restaurants. Sweet corn soup was thick and bland as one always expects.

Chicken lollypop was sweeter than it should be. And I prefer Wang's Kitchen's lollypop to this one.
I tried Pan Asian Grill chicken which comes in slices and not as a whole chicken. I am not a fan of it.

Mains were good. Fried rice was well flavoured and cooked. Noodles was also good. But the Shezwan noodles was way too spicy. I don't know it that's the way the chinées eat. But I prefer Sz noodles for other chinées joints to this one. The waiter chose and brought us a gravy for the fried rice and it was going well with the food. They give good suggestions.
Cons:
There was a strand of hair (see first pic) in the noodles and that was pretty awful. Had I seen if before finishing I would have puked. However these ppl give good service.
Excellent Packing, Quick Delivery and liberal quantity is what comes in my mind about Cascade. Quality and Taste wise they can improve more to attract more customers.

It's with a heavy heart i admit to treason against the nation. At a time of standoff with China @ Doklam, I who out of patriotic duty am supposed to deny anything remotely chinese, found myself craving chinese food as we are often wont to do. It is the most common food next our own. So one cannot be blamed for such cravings.
We have precedent for boycotting anti indian elements. For example pakistani artists and actors facing a ban in indian film industry. Similarly i assume
Wanting chinese food at the brink of dwindling diplomatic relationship was treason of the highest order.
But i finally gave into my craving and found myself gorging unabashedly on some chinese food at one of our local chinese joints, The Cascade. One could argue the authenticity of the chinese cuisine in our country. It has been heavily indianised for sure. So with some some relief for my soul i enjoyed a hearty meal. The taste was good. I have had better chinese food. But still it has the virtue of being one of the better chinese restaurants in our neighborhood . How often can one claim such a feat ? Our very own authentic (indo) chinese restaurant.
We'll be like "shall we order chinese tonight?" or "i am in the mood for some chinese tonight". I dunno if anyone can understand the awesomeness of that!
So in conclusion The Cascade is an okay chinese place but the main virtue being our very own chinese place!

I have been to their Annanagar outlet couple of times and this is my third association with them but this time it happened in the Mogappair outlet. Known for their Chinese cuisine, they never disappoint and compromise on taste. Cascade is one of the best restaurants you can find in chennai under the Chinese genre. They have 5 outlets in the chennai city and number of outlets in other cities too. 💙💚💙💚
I opted for a home delivery rather than dining-in that particular day. It was a weekday dinner and we were were two. We ordered a plate of 'Chicken Lollipop', 'Veg schezwan fried rice' and a plate of 'Phuket fish'. The estimated delivery time was 1 hour and as per their words, they delivered it on time. I can call it as an impressive service! All the items were neatly packed and sealed in a foil paper. 💜💛💛💜
The chicken lollipop was a hot and spicy appetizer made with SIX chicken wings. This looked like a fusion recipe, a mix of Indian and Chinese style. The chicken pieces were juicy and tender and it tasted amazing. I never miss out 'Phuket fish' in a Chinese restaurant which made me order it without a second thought. The fish was nicely tossed and garnished and it looked as well as tasted marvellous. Meanwhile, the veggies in the schezwan rice made it crispy and the perfect blend of sauces made it moderately spicy. It tasted good but could have been improved! 💙💚💛💜
VFM - The bill amounted to 1000rs for two. The quantity they provided will easily serve two 'Heavy' eaters. The price may seem on the higher side but the taste completely justifies it. 🖤🖤

Good restaurants for enjoying Chinese delicacy however need to improve their service. They need to explain the menu for guest. Their ambience is good and need to work on portions served. Overall one of the better place.
I have been couple of times, the food here is awesome. The quantity is also very good. Proper and authentic Chinese food. The green pot tea is very good. The staff were courteous to help us with the menus.

Can't say enough about their Chicken Fried Rice. Too good! I'v ordered from here like 6 or 7 times, and it always had been the same rice. Taste was consistent. Chicken is light brown in colour and everything is cooked to perfection. The aroma of the rice will blow you off 😍 The quantity of the chicken pieces varies with each order though.
The packing is different and pretty cool too. They give you the food in sealed aluminium foil packets, so no spillings and the food is super hot when it reaches.

For a decent lunch or dinner, I would strongly recommend this. Service here is very good and also the taste and varieties. I liked sautéed prawn and hakka noodles. Lamb was not up to the mark. If you order a soup, then it's more than enough for 3 people. Starters are of good quality and tasty. Main course is good in both quality and quantity. The main disadvantage is this is one of the costliest restaurants at chennai.

Sunday afternoon..absolutely quiet.. strange.
Anyways.. We got a lovely welcome and given a seat. Staffs are really nice and courteous. Ordered few items in the menu and promptly I get an alert of what am ordering.. .Schezwan biryani was little spicy and good.. the veg mix balls came with fire and the baby corn pepper needed some salt.
The portions are huge. Think b4 u order...Ask... they are kind to help.
Our lunch got over and we finished by hearing a birthday being played for some small kid. A nice gesture...
Wanted to have some momos and this being the nearest outlet serving Chinese made me go Der... The ambience simple and ample seating place and dim lighting. Ordered manchow soup, my favourite dragon chicken and dim sums. And Der came a big bowl of soup I had no idea about Der they serve soup in big bowls which is enough for four ppl.. Yes u read it right u get triple the quantity of soup u generally get but it justified with price. The soup was really soothing for my sour throat on that day... Dragon chicken was too sweet for my liking and then came dim sums I liked them but I feel have had better dim sums for lesser price compared to them. Since the soup made our tummy full we could no longer go for main course..... To conclude I feel the place is good with some good food but yes a bit pricy for the food they give with this kind of ambience... Its just the brand name...

Eight treasure hot pot had eight vegetables in it. We had it for next day along with rice such huge quantity.

Had dinner yesterday in this restaurant in mogappair. Had the best chicken manchow soup here, 1 bowl of soup can serve 3 persons. Had a chicken winglets it really tastes good. The quantity deserves the money. Must try place for Chinese food lovers.
When it comes to dine out for some Chinese food with friends our taste buds always drag towards cascade. Reason is we find it calm and not so crowded atmosphere next main thing is its variety of delicacies in starters & main course and can be customized. Finally staffs are courteous. My favorites are chicken manchow soup, dumpling,braised fish with ginger and chili,szechwan and Thai spicy fried rice 😋.

I love both vegggie and non-veggie dishes and the taste of them is absolutely Chinese . They may not be rawww not talking to that extent just Indo-Chinese ❤😁 We always need those Indo- Masalae atleast for the sake of Aroma ❤🙈

The taste and quantity is really good, phuket fish and fish in banana leaf was really good. Other than the price everything was fine. Items are very expensive on top of that they are adding service charge which make thinks even worst.

Firstly, One fried rice is more than sufficient for 2 normal eaters. The quantity is huge...
All the dishes were very tasty, but I wonder what that 5 colour rice meant. I got ONE small piece of mushroom and a few corn kernels in them. The fried rice was tasty though.
Veg balls manchurian, gravy - The veg balls were very soft and gave a melt in mouth feel.
One of the few restaurants serving chinese food without much alteration, keeping it subtle.
Total cost - RS. 560/- For us it was definitely VFM. Still have half of both the rice left for morning breakfast.
Delivery through Zomato was not that great. The order came 1.15 hours after the order time.
This cascade outlet was opened some 4-5 years back. But for the youths, this place isn't popular like Wang's and Grill minstri in mogappair, cos of not so friendly service and comparatively high costs of their dishes.
Although it is located in a prime location in mogappair west, the lack of parking is another reason for many to skip this place.
The ambience is simple and their dishes were presented in a grand manner. Apart from these, the restaurant failed to impress me in the other sections- like service, taste and parking!
There are many other restaurants nearby in mogappair, doing better business than this cascade outlet.

Try their chiily orange beef as well. You will thank me for it. It's exquisite with subtle flavor of orange in the spicy beef.
Good food, good quantity, I have always praised there packaging when it comes home delivery. Reason I choose cascade over other pan Asian restaurants when it comes to home delivery is their neat packaging of food items
Great. It's a bit expensive but it's totally worth it. The quantity they give is just huge. To be honest I was really shocked to see the price of a soup but when they served us I was astonished to see a large bowl. It could easily fill 2 people. The ambience and the food were lovely. Desserts were also delicious. Overall a perfect hangout place for everyone.

Cascade is a great and neat restaurant to eat good Chinese food. Their fried rice items are awesome and I have never this before in any other restaurant.
Just realised that after multiple visits, I havent rated this place. Now Cascade is one chain which I walk into any place they start....be it Chennai or Coimbatore they have been brilliant.
Rest Assured these guys will have brilliant ambience and valet parking. And I am confident that they wont screw up any item.
Now I have tried quite a few items at this place and some of favorite items are
1. Hot and Sour soup ( sweet corn is good as well)
2. Momos and Dim Sum basket are brilliant
3. Chicken Lollypops, pepper chicken are yummy
4. Golden Fried Prawns are good as well
5. Vegans no worries - They are good too....esp Vegetarian Manchurian Balls gravy
6. Veg fried rice and Noodles are wonderful too
7. And oh yeah, if you wanna try Beef in Chennai you can hit this place

After several takeaways from Cascade Mogappair, decided to dine-in for dinner recently and the experience was fantastic.
Food, of course is no doubt, very good. Service was way beyond expectations. Particular note to the waiters and servers who have been very aptly trained.
Not too heavy on the wallet and nice place if you want to take that special someone on a classy dinner date.

Having visted the Cascade at Mogappair quite a few times, I can say that it is a good resto with a decent ambience and good service. The quality of food (as compared to other Cascade restos) lags a bit, yet is a good contender among most restaurants in the vicinity.
Although the staff is very naive and not so well trained, they make sure you are comfortable and guide you with the order as per your taste. They do tend to push you into buying their special occassion menu items(obviously over priced stuff!). The thick soups are really good here - one portions serves 4 easily.
As for the starters - the crsipy fried veggies and the newly introduced Veg Cheese balls are worth the try. Phuket fish is easily their best seafood starter I would say. They do have this Malyasian seafood Pomfret which is quite a bad choice unless you are a fan of South East asian cuisine.
Their veggie Main Course menu hasn't chanhed in a decade I guess. We end up ordering the same stuff for want of better choice. The Veg Balls/Cauliflower Manchurian can be missed for they have far better dishes(The Manchurain dishes taste quite the same evrywhere I guess! :P). The Five Spiced Veggie and Babycorn Mushroom ones are my favorite. As for the Rice, the Thai Spicy fried rice and the Five Colored/Spice rice is a good choice - all portions are sufficient for 4 hungry stomachs ;)
Desserts are one of the best parts of dining at Cascade. Most people pass it off for having it at nearest Ice Cream parlor - but U wud have missed something really good. My favorite being the Ice Kachang! :) Mango Pudding, Lychee, Fruit salads and Choc Brownie sizzlers do not fail to impress either.
Overall a good place to dine in - only their service and food quality needs to improve a bit though!
We often visit cascade for special occasions like birthdays. The ambience is great. Quit and peaceful. The food is great. Momos are really well done. Few places get em right. Amazing food experience out there...starting with the environment it was really pleasant and pleasing. Ordered prawn momos..which was like wooow..but felt like the outer layer was over cooked. Then carried on with Chicken American chopsuey...they gave a huge bowl full of fried noodles and another bowl full of chopsuey sauce...we were jus full with that...as a final touch ordered fried ice cream, without lag it was awesome :) Enjoyed throughly :D step in and get full! :)

Oasis of mogappair... Fact... This is the only place were u get perfect indo-Chinese in Chennai.. People find this expensive when compared to Wang's and wontons but guys u should watch for quality quantity and service.. A soup bowl big enough to serve 4 costs 200 bucks.. That to something which tastes the best and is hygienic.starters is were u get to see lot of unusually indo-Chinese target than just the usual drain chicken, lollipop and chicken Manchurian.. Try the honey, chili walnut chicken.. It's amazing and my personal favourite.. Momos are tasty ones and altars tempt me for more.. I End up having only momos soup and starters post which I won't be able to accommodate main course ;-) tummy full and happy. Main close includes lot of variety rather than just chicken noodles rice and same in veg and Spicer versions.. 5 coloured rice is a good pick and Now comes the best part.. Desserts.. A scoop of ice cream hidden under hot crispy wheat coat..u got it.. fried icecream... Wow... Amazing way to End my dinner... Service was amazing as usual.. Whenever I feel like eating chinese food I always go to cascade, I have tried nearly all the food in menu, its just wow and really felt so happy.I would say worth for money, ambience is good and food tastes yummy.
You cannot call it a typical chinese restaurant but can call it one for its theme and food items that has mushroom in pretty much anything you order.
This is the kind of a calm place where you would want to have a lonely quick lunch or brunch

The only restaurant that satisfied me this week, this is the first time I went to Cascade. I was actually going towards Dominos & then I spotted the board ' The Cascade' I remember my friend telling me its a good restaurant so I pulled over & the first thing you notice when you enter the Restaurant is the beautiful Chinese type of lights hanging from the sealing making it look good with the Dim mood lights in a Summer afternoon. The ambience was really good. The staff were decently dressed & well mannered. The table we got was comfortable enough.
About the FOOD: We skipped the starters and went for the Main dish, we ordered a Thai Spicy Fried Rice & a Mushroom Fried Rice along with Vegetable sauce and for the Dessert we went for Fried brownie with ice cream.
We ordered for two and when the food arrived we realized we could not eat the entire food because they serve in large quantities, that definitely amazed me because no restaurant's serve such huge quantities as far as I know.
The Thai Spicy Fried Rice was really good and the first thing that your mind thinks when you have the first spoon of it is 'Mmm! Its really good' and The Mushroom Fried Rice was ok and slightly disappointed me because the mushroom's tasted weird & I somehow ate it ( I didn't want to complain) I think they mixed a little spinach in the Mushroom Fried Rice and that mixing of spinach spoilt the dish I can say. (I have been known for my weird taste) Maybe you will like it.
And speaking about the Brownie with ice cream- I found the brownie very good, not too hard not too soft. The ice cream made the brownie taste even more good. I think you should try the brownie's there.
Overall I had a good experience, Good food and a Good level of satisfaction.
