Ordered a mini mutton briyani combo with chicken leg fry. Was worth the penny. The seeraga samba briyani was excellent with mild spices and masala as usual. Quantity is perfect for one person.
Only let down was the mutton pieces in the briyani
The border parotta and nattukozhi curry are absolutely brilliant. They complement each other perfectly. The nattukozhi briyani is amazing too, but it could be better.

first to start with Border parotta its a normal parotta nothing special but is soft. then we ordered Bun parotta it was too good. let us go in depth to the main dish Biriyani it just tasted superb were the meat is soft and tender.

If you are trying kalaki ask for plain kalaki with salna. Bcos they are adding too much onions which spoils the entire taste of kalaki and makes it uneatable.

Courtallam Border Rahmath Hotel started as a small eatery at Courtallam 40 years ago in 1972. It started with only serving tea and then adding parotta & chicken gravy to their menu. The main branch is located in Kerala- Tamil Nadu border and courtallam is known tourist spot for attracting large crowds and in overtime this place has become an iconic place in courtallam and there are people visiting courtallam justย to taste the food from this place.
Went for lunch as we wanted to try the native parottas. In the main road and a very simple interiors this place serves the best parottas and country chicken. We ordered chalna parotta, mutton briyani, gun chicken and chicken onion pichi potathu.
Gun chicken was nice with the pepper taste and was juicy as well. Chicken onion was the typical ooru side dish, was so tasty with the right amount of crispiness and spices.
Chalna parotta is going be one of my favourite dishes to have .. parottas soaked in chalna and my boy it melts in your mouth. The only average dish was the briyani and it was ok okay types and nothing special.
1)Naatu kozhi biryani tasted good..the chicken fry was too oily and biryani quantity was less for the price...but taste is good
2)Nothing too add in border paraota it's always special with the gravy๐
The courtallam Border is good in the parotta. They have the special type of parotta. They are different types of chicken ๐. We tryed Gun Chicken ๐ and the kadai fry is soo good . They are serving faster also . They are good in parotta and salna.. gravy.. itโs so good and nice ๐๐ป and tasty ๐....
Parotta was good but the curry given for it was not as expected.

Courtallam Border Rahmath Kadai ! I guess this place is bringing up their quality, ordered a special combo of mutton biryani and border parotta through swiggy.
Really loved the taste of the biryani and the parotta but the felt the salna wasn't that great in taste needs a bit more improvement on that though.
Overall a little more improvements would be great. Do try out their biryani!

Have visited their T.nagar outlet and since we liked the food, decided to take my parents for dinner to their Anna nagar outlet..
Itโs located on the first floor... The place is quiet huge with basic tables and chairs... donโt expect anything fancy because this place is famous just for the food...
The place was packed but we were seated soon..
The tables could have been arranged better so as to enable better and maximum seating...
We told the server that we were in a rush as my sister had a train to catch and so they took extra care to serve or food on time...
We ordered Porotas, Gun Chicken, Mutton Sukka and Picchipota chicken (Shredded Chicken Masala)....
We just attacked the food as they arrived... All the food was great... Porota was soft... Gun chicken smokey with the right spices... Mutton sukka dry and amazing masala... Finger licking food...No complaints...
We ordered an extra plate of mutton sukka and since it wasnโt dry enough we sent it back and they did not charge is for it...
Honest and wholesome comfort food...

After receiving a ton of negative feedback of the place, i really wanted to find what was so bad about the place and visited it on a weekend for dinner. The place was kinda packed and with the express service , people move out quickly.The interior, decor,furniture are all on the downside , yes. But the food was just as tasty ad it was in courtrallam.But back in the real courtrallam restaurant they serve 2 types of salna and they don't add colour to food.The rate here is nominal compared to other restaurants in the area.With a little effort from thier end on the interior,they would be able to bring in lot more people.
Awesome taste, they maintain the original flavor, cooking style just like the Courtallam Border.. Worth for the money.. The nattu koli kothu parotta taste so yummy..
They run a very native Tamil style restaurant.. they only use native breed chicken and don't expect a lot of variety... It is pakka for all those native taste buds out there... Pepper Chicken Leg fry was amazing... And not to forget their parotta with a mandatory free Salna... The best u can find... And tht fridge filled with native desserts.. rosemilk, paneer soda, rasalmalai etc. Was amazing too... Biriyani was normal.. and to all those broiler chicken people.. strictly a NO to this place.. native breed chicken has its own authenticity which u guys won't like... Overall... Quite on the expensive side... But still a one of a kind restaurant.
Service- was really fast. We liked the speed as we took just 40 minutes for dinner.
Taste- Naatukozhi fry was delicious and served hot. The taste still remains in our tongue.
Cost- Reasonable up to a certain extent and we liked the desserts. Rose milk was good for the cost.
Ambience- A/c could've been better. The A/c was on but still didn't get the effect of it. Lighting and others were good.
P.s: Parota could've been bigger :P
Okey the resto may not look that impressive, but the food is awesome, parrota ,ding dong , kizhi Pichu pottathu is my regular order. small menu but they do it right , service is good as well. Don't skip this resto for it's low rating may be you will like it if you visit once

To start with, the 2.6 rating this place has now (12th December 2017) is ridiculous. It deserves a 4+ rating for sure.
Ambience: This isn't a place one visits for ambience. It's a place one visits for great food. That said, the ambience was clean and comfortable.
Service: I went on a weekday afternoon and I got excellent service. I asked for a recommendation and I liked the fact that my waiter didn't bullshit me!
Food: I had the parotta and nattukozhi pichu pota fry with the saslna that's on the house and comes in a large kadhai. It was delicious.
The parottas were small, soft inside and slightly crispy outside, the nattukozhi was well cooked, spicy and fried perfectly. They leave the bones along with the pichu-fied meat, which I personally liked. The free saalna was the show-stopper. I carried on eating parottas with just the saalna, even after the kozhi got over.
I would definitely recommend this place without hesitation. And for those coming from out of town, I think this place is seriously worth a meal.

This is my second visit here. Soft inside and crispy outside parottas. Small in size, so one can easily have atleast 4 parottas. The gravy is flavourful and tasty, could have been a little thicker. The idiyappam was soft and good. The pichi pota Kozhi was full of pepper and onions. Liked it. Overall a nice parotta dinner for once in a while. The service was good.

Great place to grab porotta and chicken in Chennai. The gravy is the highlight. They serve two kinds - there's the ordinary kulamb and there's another thick one with a hint of tamarind which I've never had before. The gun chicken is shaped like it's namesake and they use the country chicken (NattuKozhi) with less fat and great taste. I really loved the Picha potta Chicken which is basically fried spicy shredded chicken. Their Kalakki was also pretty good and different

Parotta parotta parotta is best dish in tamil nadu. Its actually famous in courtallam side but in chennai they have few branded outlets. To have very good parotta and with best sides for parotta i would highly recommended anyone to reach here. Their natth kozhi kolambu side is the one that i would crave for with the touch of coco oil. Gun chicken ๐ is the best starter for chicken lover and its only available here with right amount of spice and blend. Tbh while am posting a review itself my saliva secretion is high ๐
We went 2times in 3weeks the parotta is damn good to have .Compared to all the places they sell at low place. Only a veg kurma is there for vegetations .Otherwise it is a place for non veg persons it is very cheap

2 months before I went to courtrallam, my father introduced me to this hotel. Suddenly today i saw the same hotel while surfing, i came immediately. The chicken porichay fry is awesome, the pepper flavour with country chicken is special here. Must try sidedish no main dish,โบ๏ธ . Try a different non veg hotel here.
The food over there was good actually we tried parota and plain motton briyani was good in taste and they have varities of omelets the prices are also reasonable and the atmosphere was also good over all better place for lunch with friends and family...

We visited this place for dinner and ordered parotta, pichi potta chicken and kothu parotta. Basically, the taste of the food is pretty decent but not as expected. The overall cleanliness of this place can be better. The hand wash area, the restrooms aren't clean / neat. Please grow up as we don't come here only for food. Lets look beyond food and try to offer better customer service in a healthy and clean environment. L

Okay this was a sudden plan cause we was searching for a Vegetarian restaurant called TOSAI. we know this border coutralam would be awsom especially the tnagr one but never tasted in the shanthi colony branch. That's the reason I wished to order some thing that I haven't tasted earlier. Okay starting with puff parrota which is complete soft juicy that already took bath in ghee along with it I had kalaki and chicken omblette ( South Indian style) I know my orders are simple cause I planned that way . But the taste was amazing especially the special gravy they provided which give the aroma of coconut oil and I loved it. โค๏ธ

Hailing out of tirunelveli missed home and went to this shop and they gave me my hometown experience. Same taste , friendly service, their special nattukozhi fry pieces and fun chicken. The pepper taste and the softness of the parotta and chicken . Aroma of the salna. Everything was same. Felt like eating in shengocattah . Even droolining now while writing this review. AMBIENCE was ok , a large Ac hall with tables in it suitable for family gatherings too.
