Decor:The feminine touch doesn't hang in the air but rather hits you smack in the face.Bald mannequin & that table replete with trinklets.The smack is rather dear too,especially when wandering in with a notebook is so welcome.
Decor et repas:Very thoughtfully done place with a copious book collection. Some gems midst the doodles.You could strum from a not cared for rusty Ashton A series which still has lot of life in it or bask in the wilderness sipping from a cloy selection teas.
The menu should be applauded for embracing world cuisine.Love the 'plat regionale et pays' iidea.Swell place.Very cosy.Must visit often!
Small little vafe in the midlanes of nandanam. It's an outlet made out of a 3bhk house. The coffee was good. I visited twice to the cafe during my stay in chennai. It had a good old school vibe with the place. Food on the menu was also great. Staff was generous. They even a small little quirky merchandise corner as well.
The best thing about this place is the ambience, as it gives you that cozy home feeling, cuz it sure has been someone’s home before. Different rooms that have different tables makes this place unique. You come as a group of friends, you have a room where there are board games and stuff, or for a couple there’s another room and so on. Coming to food, we ordered for Pancakes with ice cream, maple syrup and whipped cream, and Hot chocolate. Pancakes could’ve been better as it was a bit chewy I felt, but with the maple syrup and whipped cream it sure tasted amazing! The ice cream was great too. But the winner was definitely the hot chocolate! So yes, I’d definitely recommend this place to my friends and I myself would go back again! 👍🏼
Tucked in a obscured corner in Nandanam, this is an awesome place. Plenty of options and nice ambience. I had the long John club sandwich and it was yum! Would recommend this place.
A small compact outlet with a vibrant interior. Has a good collection of global cuisine. The price seems little pricy but the quantity seems fine. I ordered for a phone Punjabi panner pizza and hot chocolate. Hot chocolate was nice and hot. But the pizza seemed little clumsy with unevenly chopped veggies and lil oily but tasted good. This place also has a set of entertainment like games, books to read and come shopping aspect. Would be an ideal spot for gang meet up and couple or even to host a ketty part or small surprise as there are different rooms to dine in according to no of people.

Have been a frequent visitor here.. and one thing I come here more often is for
1. Ambience - quiet and relaxing
2. Books - yes you get to read books while you await your order
3. " orange summer" . The drink I almost became addict to
4. Price - not so less , but not burning your pocket either . I would say the money is well spent here

Amazing food and ambience. Nice place to relax and refresh. I have tried bell pepper soup, pink pasta, prawn rice combo and carrot halwa with ice cream. Every dish has a great taste with perfect spice and cheese. Love the quality and service here. Since its away from the main road not many people must have tried , but it's worth visiting.

An extremely under-appreciated place and I would blame the location, I guess.
We had the exotic veggie pizza, creamy pasta, veg ratatouille, butterscotch milkshake and cafe mocha.
The pizza was too small, but can't complain when you look at the price. The pasta was so creamy and if you love cheese, this is the dish for you at this place. The ratatouille came with rice, salad and fries. The fries seemed a little out of place, but you can never say no to fries. The ratatouille itself tasted pretty decent.
The butterscotch milkshake was awful, but the cafe mocha was rich and yum. Kinda forgave them for the horrible milkshake because of the nominal prices and the sufficient quantity of the dishes.
They get a 5/5 for their ambience. It's quiet and peaceful. Their quirky interiors are a sight for sore eyes, for sure.
Most importantly, this place has adequate seating to meet a good crowd. It's a pity it's not famous enough.

It's been years long since I've tasted a yummilicious continental foooooooddd !! The food served was delicious though it took a little more than the expected time to get it served. The ambience created a kind of curiosity and made me crave to give it a try once. On my way home last Saturday evening, I literally dragged my mother into the bistro. I'd say that's worth the time which I've spend there... Sometimes you gotta take a break amidst your hectic busy schedule.... I've tried the soo creamy soo tasty chicken velouté soup, The stylishly served chicken steak, more than the steak i enjoyed the well seasoned butter rice and stuffing in the steak. You should definitely give a try to their hot beverages too !! I wonder why the bistro couldn't grab people's attention as I've found it almost empty despite the catchy menu and a CooOOll ambience... This one is a real worth to try.... There is an accompaniment offered for almost all the menu.... Like the cafès are served with cookies 🍪, soups with croutons etc... But that was not served with any of my orders and that's the only thing which had dissapointed me out there.... We've asked for the cookie and had forgotten about the rest so watch out on what you get served. I would definitely suggest it to any of my friend's and people known , it's cool and absolutely a Value For Money and Must try !!!

Apple mint Mojito is fabulous in taste and look. But mints are having some dark patches. I think mint were little old.
Service is nice. Even though service span time between two food is very long.
Overall experience more than I'm expected.

When my friends Plan A got cancelled, I was her Plan B 🙂 and eating is one thing we do best! I remember Old Skool Bistro opening up a few months back and was more shocked to find out not many people experimented this place. Located in Nandanam first street, this place looks like a house converted into a bistro. The bistro has very less parking space for cars, but the lane seemed quite in the evening to park cars nearby in the lane.
Nice place to hangout with friends! Food menu is very good. Loved the pasta and chicken steak. Very pleasant service and good value for money!! Must try 👍👍

Visited here for the second time with my brother. A lot of changes in the menu was seen but the taste and ambience was awesome as usual. Such a lovely place to sit and talk about. The typewriter on the corner was a surprise!
This place has a personality of its own, and feels so familiar even on your first visit. A cozy, comfortable eatery with a range of dishes served per our specifications. Situated along the Mandaveli-Nandanam arterial road - on weekends, the privacy and calmness it provides is unmatched in this locale.
Good place to relax in a relatively quiet neighbourhood. Got a few small rooms, so if with a gang of friends can have good space for yourself. Thoughtfully done interiors. The ginger tea was especially good.
Loved the place, everything has been perfect everytime time we went, living very close to the place helps treat our taste buds anytime we feel like. Though may not exactly feel the authentic flavors if you have had the cuisine from the place of its origin or so, its always good in their own way.

First impression made me think it shied away from the routine main road & junctions, but is one hell of an awesome place to hang out, with family or friends, if found. The comfortness, environment, food & music gives you a feel of home. Obviously my first choice would be OSB when I'm in their proximity (Alwarpet, Teynampet, Nandanam).
Good food, lovely ambience, friendly staff, decently priced, quirky apparels at sale, lots of book to entertain yourself(even puzzles) in a nice quiet neighborhood.
One of my favorite places to go....very calm and a soothing place...ppl there are so polite and friendly...and I love their desserts
