Ordered lunch from Madras curry cup and the delivery from Zomato was seamless. Kudos to that. Coming to the food, I ordered the Chicken curry cup with the Chicken Milagu Kuzhambu, Madras Kozhi Varuval. The quantity of the rice was very good and the Chicken Milagu Kuzhambu had a comforting, homely and delicious taste. The kozhi varuval and the rice on the other hand were a let down. The chicken fry was flavorless due to very less salt. The rice was parboiled which made it hard to chew and was very dry. Overall an ok experience with Madras Curry Cup.

Good varieties and awesome taste. Brown rice is good choice. Veg meal has various options to pick. But few will be disabled. Good delivery package.
Today i had taken Chicken curry cup combo. Packing was perfect. There is no spill.
Chicken curry cup includes rice, one curry(fish gravy), one side portion(chicken fry), rasam, curd, papad, spoon with tissue.
There are so many options in rice, curry as well as in side portion. Everything was packed perfectly.
Daily different menu, so i want to try another day also.
One curry cup is sufficient for one person... Give a try guys...
I went there for dine in... Enjoyed seafood cup and mutton cup along with fish fry... Seafood cup was really yummy and in mutton cup, mutton gravy was not so tasty but mutton curry was good. Fish fry was not worth the money nd taste was not so good

I usually dont like south indian food except from home, however this place is an exception. Taste was good very homely infact and neat packaging. On time delivery nd very courteous customer service. This is my 2nd order. I got prawn coconut curry with rice nd kozhi varuval. The chicken was good too had a chettinad chicken taste but dint seem like varuval tho seemed like a semi gravy types. 1st order was chicken curry which was also good. Kudos for the team on such food n maintenence

Madras Curry Cup, By the name itself, You must have guessed what they are about. Standing true to their name, Madras curry cup does what they say. They serve wonderful curries along with rice.
The best thing about them is that the food they serve is very much homely. The next best Home food I'd say.
Firstly, The packaging was good and decent.I got to try their Mutton Keema curry along with steamed Rice.The aroma on opening the package was so heavenly.First spoon after mixing the curry and rice hinted me of mom cooked food. Who doesn't like such a good home food? Also, The quantity was satisfying.
Along with the main curry and Rice, They also sent me some sides.
Madras Kozhi | Karandi Omelett | Poricha eral | Rose milk
All the sides were excellent. Loved their Chicken, Perfectly spiced and semi gravish. Also their Prawns were equally good. Went on well when had with rice.
Apart from the food, Rose milk served good end to this happy meal.
If you're someone far off from home or craving some good home food, Madras curry cup is the one for you.

🦄Spinach and dal with egg masala, white rice, crispy yam chips, vadam, spicy fried cauliflower, madras style potato fries, fluffy little egg omelette, Kara panniyaram with arracha sambhar and two cute little bottles of rose milk and buttermilk was what was delivered to me 😍
🦄First things first, one of the best packaging I've ever seen. It was totally on point with all wet wipes and a few cutlery. Really impressive 👏👍
🦄Coming to the food; to be honest, I don't really prefer vegetarian food, but this whole meal was surprising. I loved the spinach and dal mixed with rice. The combination of the egg, vadams and fries were really good 😇 Neither the fries nor the panniyaram was oily, which is most often the case when it's bought outside. The arracha sambhar was sweet and had loads of veggies just the way I like it 😍 I really liked the concept of the kutty bottles of drink. One to start with and one to end with 😆😆 Both the butter milk and rose milk were delivered cold and was refreshing. 😄 The taste was just like home food 😄 on the whole, a very satisfying meal 😋

Ordered thrice from here through zomato. Twice the delivery was late. Good concept and.like the rotating menu. The food feels like home food. Would like to order from here often if they improve the delivery. I would suggest the restaurant to tie up with swiggy as their delivery is better.
Ordered poricha eral from them. Delivery is on time. Taste is good, homely but a bit more of flavour of cumin. Its spicy. U will get 10 pieces to medium sized praws.

Was browsing through zomato to order food on a lazy Sunday afternoon, that's when this place caught my eye. Having read some positive reviews about this place, went ahead placed an order.

The order was delivered well ahead of time full marks for that.
Took out the chicken Milagu kolambu and rice(INR 160, there were two variants I chose this as it included sura puttu) first. First things first, was really impressed with their packing. A large plastic bowl with had a pack of sura puttu, bat vathal, ladies finger, kolambu n rice. Neatly packed.👍👍
Opened up every item in the box and placed it in the plate, poured in the kolambu on top, mixed with rice and took my first spoon, typical home style food less spicy and tasted really good. The sura puttu was also equally good, would have tasted better if had hot. The kolambu had two boneless chunks of chicken piece, was so soft and tasted really good. I felt there was one odd man sitting on my plate not related to any of its carnivore counterparts begging for a tasting, initially I was not that interested but then after tasting it I felt bad to have not touched it until then. It tasted damn yummy, loved it to the core. It was non other than "vendaikai pachadi", definitely going back to this place atleast to taste this master piece. Full credits to the mind behind it 👌👌👌!!!
With all the excitement around the ladies finger I completely forgot poricha Eral(INR 120). Eventhough intially I felt if it was worth the amount spent seeing the size of the box, it was not so. I was not too impressed with the masala in it but the prawns were nice n juicy went really well with rice.
Only one disappointment, if a small pack rasam would have been provided I would have been a happy customer but that was not part of the combo still thought it would have made my day !!!!!
Finally, after that feast opened up the neatly packed butter milk(INR 20). After all the spicy food this drink soothed my taste bud, it only got better n better with every sip. Full marks for his one too !!👌👌👌👌
Overall, a satisfying meal that had a homely touch in it. Guess they have revolving menu. Definitely hitting back again to try out their other items !!!!!

The other day I had kara panniyaram with chicken keema,
1) Packing:-
It was well packed in a aluminium cover with a sanitary wipe, small menu card and small tag inside the curry cup.
THAT CURRY CUP a very nice concept, but the lid of the cup is very flimsy that it cannot be reused again which the whole cup to throw in trash after usage, this is a very unsustainable concept and bad for us human beings in the long run.
Just by updating the cup cover or the lid a bit stronger the whole box can be reused again and again(remember those sweet boxes in which we used to store snack, kollampowder, birdfeed something we used to make out of it )
(it takes two hundred years for plastic to decompose naturally, even though we use recyclable plastics, imagine the amount energy needed to segregate the wastes , the transport and the fuel needed for it to go to segregation place and the recycling factories, it all costs and consumes a lot of energy, lets be concerned inhibitors in this world.
We are a part of this big fabric, the scorching summer we experience now is the product of all of those mindless unsustainable way we lived, at least now lets be concerned citizens of this world, when a package indulging in a essentuality and enjoyment of not more than 30 mins is going to cost a lot of energy, fuel and manpower to recycle means i bet i would make sure to reuse it as much as i can before really trashing it, and i won't mind paying few extra dimes for the sturdy strong lid.)
Hope you strongly consider this, together w'll make a better world.
2) The taste:-
It was fine and stayed authentic to traditional south India, the taste remained soul quenching and i used the rest of all kheema for that night supper.
3) The quantity:-
The quantity of panniyaram was not balanced to the kheema, so you either can increase some two pieces of panniyaram and reduce kheema quantity a little.
overall it was a wonderfull experience.

As I said earlier, it's a bowl with a curry which you can mix. Easy to eat, food was delicious. The Prawns were tasty, adequately spiced and went well with the idiyappam. It was made like an upma.
Overall, 4/5 is warranted.
Awesome service, awesome food and delivery timing is also good. Overall so satisfied. Perfect home food. Its enjoyable!! I recommend everyone to try it!!

Ordered Ennai Kathrika Curry Cup and Rose Milk. It came neatly packed, but it is bit of a chore getting through the packaging. Would rather that the bowl was used along with a silver foil to achieve the same goal of preserving heat. Also, it is visually more appealing to see a bowl of rice and curry, rather than work at it to tear out and pour from the pouches, into the bowl. As far as the taste it concerned, I enjoyed the food. The quality of rice is passable, but the Ennai Kathrikka was done well. The onion pakkoda and potato curry were great. But I do have a problem with the portion sizes. The amount of rice was perfect for me, but the quantity of gravy and curry was less. Had to throw away some portion of the rice due to lack of gravy, which does affect the fullness one feels after a meal. Maybe the quantity of gravy and the amount of curry needs some reconsideration, or an option needs to be presented for ordering extra. The Rose Milk was quite good. For the price point, this is a great place. And I would recommend it.

Madras Curry Cup, Multiple Outlets:
While loooking for food-on-the-go options and you can't compromise on not having your usual Rice+Kuzhambu+Poriyal combo, then Madras Curry Cup seems to be an ideal choice.
They have a Rotating Menu for lunch and Dinner and available in Outlets like Amma Naana and Nilgiris (over the counter). The Madras Curry Cup has one Vegetarian and one Non-vegetarian option per day.
I got my hands on their Arachi Vitta Meen Kuzhambu Curry Cup (₹145) from Amma Naana and it was quiet satisfactory. While you are on the go, to open the sealed packets might be an inconvenience but come on that ain't such a big drawback. The other two Curry Cups that I tried were Mutton Kola Urundai Kuzhambu (₹145) and Ennai Kathirikai Kuzhambu (₹90). I loved the Vegetarian Counterpart but my Mom preferred the Mutton Kola Urundai. The accompaniments too were very good.
As of now, Madras Curry Cup is available at Nilgiris (Nungambakkam and Greams Road), Wait Rose at R.K. Salai and Amma Naana at Alwarpet.
Madras curry cup - I was thinking of having an evening snack and something which taste like mom's food.
So ordered the Madras curry cup's Kara Paniyaram with the chicken pepper keema. They have different menu for each day which is quite a bit exciting that whats today's menu.
The Packing was mind blowing that none of them in Chennai does this kind of packaging. It has a review card, small menu, wet tissues, spoons and the food.
Started eating the Paniyaram which was exactly like the home made ones. Chicken pepper keema was one among the best dish which i had in my foodie experience. I am waiting to taste all the dishes in the menu.
And the most interesting part is even my mom who always says outside food is not up to the mark, said that chicken keema was very nice. Kudos to the team.

Had my lunch from Madras Curry Cup earlier and today's (Friday) special was 'Arachuvitta Meen Kozhambu with Rice'. It came in a plastic packed cup with separate portions for Rice and Fish Gravy in aluminium foil, Vendakai Thayir Pachaddi and Fryums in plastic pouch. The same packed cup can be used as a eating bowl as well.
I regret not shooting a photo, but was so anxious and keen in opening the box and digging in and not realising about a quick photo.
The smell and taste was pretty good. The Fish gravy came with a medium size chunk. My only suggestion would be to increase the portion of the Rice and gravy a little bit more. It might not be sufficient for most of us adults. Apart from that, please make the food available for delivery to Nungambakkam. Had to get it picked up from Nilgiris, Nungambakkam.
I will certainly try their other dishes and I am hoping they would come up with more variety too. I have a better option than Faasos now. My overall rating would be 4.8.

As this is run by one of my friend along with his friends, took his word for it and decided to order dinner over here. Here's my review, which is completely genuine- I wasn't disappointed at all- had the spinach dal with rice, paneer burji and yam crisps. The food was splendid, totally loved it. Felt like I was having home cooked food, very hygienic. Total value for money, do try it out!
I picked up this take-away bowl at Amma Naana for lunch. A novel concept and very delicious. A must try. This bowl of rice and tanjore chicken curry cost me INR 120. Heard they are now available thru Swiggy. I must try out their other dishes.

The vada curry with dosa was enjoyable. Personally I felt it could be a tad bit more spicy.

Quality home made food like feel. Food could have been a little hotter though, can't complain much because of the price. You can finish your meal in half an hour and get on with your work.
Inspired by Chipotle, this joint has great food and a must visit for Chennai foodies. You pick a base like rice or dosa and add your choice of southern style curries, meat or veggies and other toppings. The curries are southern home style mutton curry, chicken curry and fish curry. I've tried them all and they're all good.

The concept was new and so we tried it during a treat. Although the food appeared less in the cup, it was more than enough to fill the tummy. Food was good (not best). The seats in the hotel and car parking were scarce and so one has to go little early than the regular food time.

Deadly combination of south Indian food and fast service. Amazing concept and even more brilliant tastey food. Extreme hospitality. It's an experience. You can't just read reviews. You have to visit the place.
Decent home type food restaurant. They guide u choose your menu. Its different type of eating experience. U have ur preferred rice kolambu payaru(protein) and veg/nonveg dish all in a bowl and u can eat it all easily. Many addons side dishes are available. Little over priced. Still its very good. We could go again and again to try out different combos.
I was so hungry today that i ordered food from this place just based on the name. But what i got was something else . . . . something special . . . the food and aroma just rose from the packing and i were some animal i would have ripped open that packaging to greedily eat that mouth watering feast that lay before me. The packaging was amazing so was the delicious food inside - the prawn curry lived up to the name.
