Best place to have chola poori. There are many vegetarian restaurants in Kodambakkam, but this is one of the oldest. I kown this restorant from my childhood i still remember had chola poori from this restaurants. This restaurant located in prime loaction (gokulam signal). Despite the fact that this restaurant hasn't upgraded to a more modern environment, some loyal customers still visit this place. Apart from chola poori, dosa, idly also good. The customer service is also good, and there is a good dine-in area that can hold 30 people at a time. Car parking is not available at this restaurant because it is located near a Junction road.
Pros:
Food is good for reasonable price.
Good dine-in and customer services.
Cons:
No parking space for car, park bike in front of restaurant
Limited variety of vegetarian food available.
Located in busy Aroct road, years back went to this place and again had to visit today still the same ambience .
Usually busy during lunch time for their variety rice and meals . For dinners hot idlis were served with 2 types of podis. Also chinese dishes are available
A small local restaurant with great service, food, and overall experience! Definitely a go-to place . My favourite idly and dosa...
Our usual breakfast stop for many years. Right near our workplace. Kept the same taste, haven't changed a single thing.
Actually you can expect a good veg foods here. Authentic and taste was so good
I visited the restaurant today and had the pleasure of trying their masala dosa, bonda, and coffee. Overall, I had a satisfying experience, although there were a few minor issues.
The masala dosa was the highlight of the meal, with a delicious blend of spices and filling that left me feeling full and satisfied. However, the price was a bit on the high side at 80 rupees. The bonda, on the other hand, was a bit of a letdown. Although the taste was good, the texture was a bit too hard for my liking. At 35 rupees for 3 pieces, I also felt that it was a bit overpriced.
The coffee was decent, with a strong and flavorful taste that went well with the meal. However, at 25 rupees, it was a bit expensive compared to other places I've been to.
I appreciated the fact that the restaurant provided three types of chutney and sambar with the meal, which added variety and flavor to the dishes.
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for the masala dosa, but be prepared to pay a bit more than you might expect. The bonda was a bit of a miss, but the coffee and chutneys were decent enough.
Old restaurant, tiffin items are good. Can have daily breakfast and dinner here
Try this Honey Chilli Potato Paneer here.! Really worth the taste 👍🏽
Value for money. Food tastes very good.
Chandra Bhavan - Vegetarian Hotel is one of the famous landmarks in Kodambakkam. It offers good variety of South Indian Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner for a nominal price.
The standard bhavan experience !! The food is tasty and thr quantity is good. The items are fairly priced as well. Something that I love about how this place has managed to stay consistent over all these years. Kudos to the managing this for ensuring that 👏👏
chandra bhavan restaurant is good at fast serving the food ordered. It is located in kodambakkam. Takeaway Foods are packed well. Quality is good.
Cheap and best food. Buy very small hotel.
I had the Ghee podi vadacurry Dosai recently as it was a new special item and it was super awesome. This place serves idly dosa etc with 3types of chutney and they also have podi placed in every table for self serve. All items are very good.
This place is for quick and budget friendly food. Taste was ordinary.. neither too bad nor at the tastier side. Service was quick. Varieties were there. Dosa, idly, fried rice, kothu parotta were are all available when we went around 10:30 in he night.
