Compared the price in swiggy. It is overpriced in Zomato. Beef biriyani in Zomato is 240 where as in swiggy it's only 180. All restaurants have been over priced in Zomato.
I really got to say they can provide the Kerala style. Don't judge by the reviews they have some good food there, which is the reason it is crowded in the afternoon. We had,
1) Veg Meals 3.5/5
2) Kappa with meen kari 4.5/5
3) Ayala (fish) fry 4/5
4) lemon soda 5/5
The Kappa was too good compared to Ikkakas that we tried earlier that week. We couldn't try much. I too have read comments stating fish fry wasn't properly cooked. But it was not the case there. And most importantly it was cheap compared to other Kerala style restaurants around. Lemon soda was the best I had in a long time.
A fine kerala restaurant in tamabaram location, if you are going visit this restaurant order for puttu and beef masala. I like their puttu with beef masala, price in the menu card is normal I won't say its expensive. Like to visit this place again and again
This place is very normal but really good. Try Pothichooru and fish fry. The payasam is also good. If you are a fan of beef, you may not like Syrian beef fry. Iβll give them 5 stars since they are good value for money.
Very good service. delevery boy was excellent,I really appreciate for his work and kindness... please delever him my appreciation. I just love him the way he behaves and talk very sweet...and he is very honest. I advice Zomato to higher more employees like him.....than you
I went with my friend he is a mallu their food new new to briyani their tastes very different from ours .poricha kozhi beef fry are awesome ππππ
I went with 3 of my friends for a lunch and we had a great meal there.. the quality of food is exceptional.. we totally loved it ππ great experience
Taste their veg lunch. Really amazing. Especially the poriyal and sambar they serve are awesome.
Ariyal is also good. They also serve tasty non veg dishes like chicken fish and beef.
I tried butter chicken and porata from here. Have also tasted chicken noodles and chicken biriyani. It was kinda okay. The cost is okay.
The meals is also okay. Worth trying!
Dis s one f usual place to satisfy ma mallu fud craving.. it also one f among the budget frndly restaurants n chennai.. last tym i went thr, i ordered kappa meen curry, parotta, egg aapam, nd chickn stew.. kappa meen curry ws okayish.. i luv the parotta in dis place.. parotta r soft, layered, perfect though.. chickn stew ws good.. i also lyk fish pollichayhu at dis rest.. if u r lukin for a budget frndly mallu restaurant hv dis place in ur first priority..
Food is food hear ! Have added half boiled egg as topping to kappa biriyani and it's good
Service has bettered comparing to last visits
Appam was a bit low this time ( maav was not mixed properly I guess )
Fry fry and beef was good as always
Overall good place to have Kerala dishes near Tambaram
Its a good place if you're looking to try Kerala food. I read all the other reviews where people complained about finding dead lizards and cockroaches in the food, From my personal experience, I have been to this place more number of times than I've been to my class. Their beef is my personal favorite. They make awesome grill chicken too. I'm not a great fan of Kerala rice till I visited this place. As others complained, Service is pretty slow.
A lunch space for all MCC guys where you get good beef and karimeen polichathe. The place is not so hygienic as i have heard some negative reviews (none that i have personally experienced). The kerala dishes are the attractions, try the beef fried rice and a meals with karimeen polichathe ( the price for karimeen varies and its kinda pricey).
Price: 3.5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Food: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5
This one doesn't offer a cosy system for its customers. But when it comes to food, they get pretty awesome, especially Kerala sea food. A bit costly, keeping in mind the poor spacing and quantity. Also, service gets pretty sleazy during weekends when there are normally people flooding the hotel.
I used to have my lunch a couple of times here..Though it is situated near my house.. The quality of the food is good and a good service is being provided. It is a kerala restaurant but it also has good south indian dishes too..
An average outlet of kerala food close to MCC. I have visited here a couple of times and tried beef biryani, apam and beef roast. The taste is decent.
If you want to enjoy some good delicious Kerala and tandoor food in tambaram ...ypu can always check im here.the best food I suggest here is Syrian Christian style beef fry!!
This is close to our home and is our go-to place when we have sudden unplanned cravings for Kerala food! The place is usually crowded, and can hear a lot of Malayalam arnd :) The ambience, well the place looks pretty shabby and dark, but the people here are friendly here, and will make it a point to chat if they are not super-busy.
Going to the food, over our many visits, we have tried their meals, fish curry, netholi fry, chicken biriyani chicken fried rice, appam, parotta, grilled chicken, shawarma, roasted beef curry, beef pepper curry, kappa, kappa biriyani etc etc.. :D their parotta and beef curry is our favourite combo and we mostly settle for that. But all there dishes are good. Not exemplory and all that, but you won't be disappointed one tad! Definitly worth more than what you spend here, as the place is light on the pocket too.
Will definitely go back again and again and again!! :)
This is a mediocre kerala restaurant.
I'd the meals on unlimited occasions and it was too goo for just 70 rupees.
Coming to other items like gravies, all the gravies are added with some spicies which makes it very sweet.
The quantity of all the items are more for the tagged price.
I'd love to go this hotel for a casual dine out.
A joint for all the malyalies in this area...
A very comfy homely place..
A small joint which ends all ur kerala dish cravings..
Fish kolambu
Kappa
Appam
Name it and they make it..
One of the leading hotels at east tambaram..
A run to always help..
Fruit juices nd grill chicken
Der gril chicken nd shawarma has always ended u being a disappointment..wud be great if dey cud work on tht
Overall... Mallufied!!
Small and cozy place... On a busy day you would have to wait... but they have an innovative idea... they have juice bar in the waiting area... and most of them drink that while waiting :)...
When you enter the place is a bit shady but I felt it was clean...
The food is good and definitely authentic Kerala food... all the dishes we have ordered in our 2 visits have been just good and upto mark. The place is not so expensive too...
Best place to hang out with friends and especially for college students ... it is also very close to MCC college...
I would go there but might sometime prefer to take away from there...
Not soo good but can try if u need a change n wanna eat KERALA food u just can go in here
Tastes good (not best) and reasonable rate... Overall not bad
we do visit harithakom sometime, likes it's al chinesh items and Kerala paratha is osom
A decent and small restaurant which will be idle hangout place for a bunch of friends. The restaurant serves some delicious kerala cuisine and the beef dishes are definitely on the yummy list. We hit the place just to try out all the beef dishes and they definitely didn't disappoint us and saved our wallet too.
BOTTOM LINE: Good Food, Decent Ambiance, Average Service, Econimical
