Very nice vegetarian restaurant, since it was late while traveling home we decided to have dinner somewhere, my brother suggested this place and we gone there and had dinner like Adai it was too sour, idly was nice, and there evening special rava Pongal, and finally highlights is rose milk😍, price is also affordable

If you want Authentic and Simple....but Very Tasty food, head here. They serve one of THE BEST sambars in Chennai. Their Sambar Idli is very famous and replicates Sizzling Brownie ice-cream two idlis are served in a small plate and piping hot sambar poured on top of it - pure bliss. 😍
Their Chinese is equally very good.
If you are in a hurry try their Mini Meal.

To wash down your meal go for their Rose Milk or Baram Milk or Rasmalai. The flavours subtle, tastes outstanding .

Had the Birinchi kuruma and filter coffee today.. Loved both. They only serve it in the evenings... For north Indians like me, a small intro of Birinchi kuruma : its basically a form of vegetable biryani cooked in coconut milk and with coconut. However, I could not really smell the coconut milk much in this particular version but liked it overall (I do know the original taste so cannot vouch for the authenticity). Picket pinch for the kuruma was Rs. 60.

Sri Lakshmi Sagar, i know for more than 25 years, in Adyar. Few years back opened in Thiruvanmiyur, with better ambience and parking space. This is the best South Indian Veg Hotel in this area, even better than two other hotels with big brand name. Its Sambar is unique ... Don't go by brand name ...
Today ordered through Zomatto; Delivered promptly. Nice Paratta and Rava Dosai ... with same nice Sambar ..

Udupi hotel in and around Adyar. If you want to try Authentic Udupi style sambar you got to try here atleast once.You will love it.Signature dish is Sambar Idly. Other than that all food which got served was good.

Udipi style restaurant in the busy LB road. The food here tastes good, and will be in authentic Udipi style.
Sambar idli is awesome. Most of the tiffin are very tasty.
Went there for a quick breakfast. Had idli, dosa and tea. All of them were very good. Everything was served hot and the taste was also very good. Budget friendly and easily accessible.

Tasty and affordable restaurant. I took breakfast here…. Much recommended for breakfast. The service and ambience is also good considering the amount you pay for the food. There are many special options available in the evening. No parking available as it is in the main road. One can find parking at the side roads available near the restaurant

One of the most affordable places for tiffin in Adyar. Sambar Idli or Sambar Vada is a must try here. People often come here just for their sambar.
A big fan of theory sambar idli and parotta kurma. Reasonable price and wow taste. While typing this review i started to dream about the taste of that grinded spl sambar. Try out this hotel.

Known for the Udupi taste and waiters are really good in serving food instantly. I drop here when I want meals immediately. The mini meals here comes with a lot of variety and at an affordable price. The above review is before COVID.
Post COVID the place has changed their furniture arrangements and the pricing of dishes. Everything else taste, ambience, hospitality of the waiters remains the same like before.

Authentic taste with nominal price. Ambience is quite normal and not so great. Must try is ghee roast and sambar vada. Idli is not a go to option here. Also, they serve meeta paan or sweet beeda at ₹5 per piece.
