I’ve known this place for years. Non veg meal, particularly fish meals then no doubt Shalimar it is. I can have the fish masala and rice everyday for lunch it’s sooo good. Not a great ambiance to sit and have a hearty meal but the fish masala and mutton masala are definitely worth a try
Pepper paya and parata are the best here .. if don't like parata , try with ghee rice .. love the taste. If comes to online order . It will be good .

I have been having food in this hotel since 2000. It taste good, good atmosphere but they can also include home delivery.... Since I am a child I am having food here with my mom, dad, sister, family and friends..... It is located just opposite to Perambur Railway Station.....
This is undoubtedly the place in town where you'll get the best paya. Another treat to your taste buds is the Ceylon paratha. Sad they haven't started delivery yet. If they are in deli, this place will be on fire.
My Favourite south Indian Restaurant which is near to my house ,I used to visit here often 😍 They serve The best South Indian dishes, The rates are cheap and service is also good. during Sunday it will be little busy other times will be free, very easy to locate just opposite to Perambur railway station ..They are special in All Mughal Biryani items and South Indian ,usually the dishes will be little spicy but the taste will be good.. a good place to visit😍

A very old hotel in the neighbourhood, you can try the paya and parotta . The mutton biryani is off a different taste and worth a try . It is situated opposite the Perambur railway station . Always a bit crowded and don’t expect the waiters to give you a top restaurant service standard .

This is my favorite spot for Prawn Mughal Biriyani. Whenever I feel like having Prawn Biriyani, I get a parcel or eat there directly. They do no accept credit cards and the ambience is not so good. I have tried chicken and fish Biriyani as well. But my full rating is for Prawn Mughal Biriyani. Quantity is too good and the taste is unbeatable. I am a regular visitor here and these guys haven't disappointed me yet.

Here we go,as traditionally Tamil nadu famous for cheetinad cuisine.I ordered chettianad mutton dry and cheetinad chicken biriyani.both were awesome as I tried in few places but not up to the mark.al thought ambiance is fine.very very typical service like bhavas,sagars etc etc.its worth for money as well as your tub...will definitely recommended to go....
This is one of the restaurants which will always be liked by all group of people. The ambience is not as how it is in decent restaurants bcoz the Hotel is built very long back. But with regard to food, i rate Shalimar as the best one. Best place for Taste, Quality and Quantity. Also the price of dishes are still surprisingly lower till date. If you people ever come nearby to perambur railway station, visit Shalimar.

You Can Find this Hotel Exactly opposite to the perambur Rly Station. Previously some 5,6 years back they were a hit as ppl from surrounding area start to flock towards the hotel daily. They serve a very decent variety of non veg delicacies, used to serve one of the best biryani's in the city. Dunno how the status is now. Their sea food curries too used to taste really good. Have to visit the place sometime soon.
Went last sunday to this hotel.heard and seen it ample times but only recently had opportunity to visit this hotel.as i went for dinner i dont want to order much.i have ordered string hopper(idiyappam),my husband ordered appam.then egg pepper gravy and chicken65.string hopper was small in size so ordered 5nos and appam was mediocre.egg pepper gravy was good and quantity also was good.chicken 65 was also good large 8 pieces ,one thing about former said dish was chicken was bit harder.coming to ambience it was ok but the place was surrounded by cigarette smell.prices were nominal.on the whole this hotel is good for take away rather dining in.

my dad always gets a take away from this restaurant whenever i feel like having nice non-veg food.the parotta and paya here are to die for.the mutton chukka with appam is another delight.the service is good and the waiting time is also less.the only drawback is that they don't have sufficient parking facility and if you have to go along with your family i would prefer you to take at seat at the rooftop whch will have more of a family crowd.

Best and juicy Nalli gravy aka mutton paya with idiyappam and aappam. Loved their service and recommendations. Place and vessels may not be new, but a good experience.
Saw Insta video and visited this one. Located right opposite to Perambur Railway Station. Idiyappam, aapam, Idly and aatu kaal paaya are available from morning. Worth a try. Taste of tea is ultimate. Okay for the money we provide. Hope they will maintain the quality. Parking for car might be difficult. Good place to bring family. Lots of dining space. Service needs to be improved.
Had an awesome treat with friends here. The Egg Aappam😍 and the Special Tea☕️here is a must try. Only concern is that the service is okayish in the ground floor. If you are going with your family or friends, do dine at the first floor instead of the ground floor, as they offer amazing and quick service there. Overall experience was super good.

Yes this Biriyani holds a hell of place in my heart Enternally. Whenever I was so hungry or I was depressed or I was happy or I was in Any kind of starving I first prefer this place . my favourite is there Hyderabadi chicken biriyani . It will be so spicy and my taste buds will fall for it even (I am drooling now )eating with there Salna is the best ever part of biryani taking a handful amount of biryani and pouring Salna to it makes the best biriyani .having the first bite of the biryani will literally be soulful. The other dishes are mutton Biriyani chicken lollipop where just awesome I will try More often this for my soulful Biriyani now people who lives in and around Perambur Do visit that place and comment your experience /thoughts below 🛎
My favourite frequent go to restaurant they serve very good food and price also affordable. Must try dishes are Hyderabadi chicken/mutton biriyani, Chettinad chicken briyani chicken lolipop & chicken 65 and tandoori and fish fingers.. those basic dishes are also tastes heaven.
I've been visiting this hotel since my childhood days. Almost know all the dishes by heart. Fabulous kerala cuisine. Authentic taste. Must try dishes are paaya, fish meals, chicken fried rice, kerala chicken Masala, parotta, and sivgangai chicken. I'm a fan of their tea. Must try after sumptuous meal.

Always we were inn to Shalimar for Prawn biriyani..For this time we tried Tandoori chicken.
Chicken was well cooked and served with Pudhina chutney it's a good combination.

It was a splendid stay.... We the group of 7 were so relieved that the Hotel was so near to the station. Describing about the food... was so delicious . Matching to every culture and traditions. The service were so excellent that it attracts everyone to visit now and then .
