An extremely good place to have one of the best cheesecakes in town.
We tried nearly all of the cheesecakes and each and every single was made to order. The Oreo and blueberry cheesecake were our favorites.
The icing on the cake was the really sweet owner who was very kind with suggestions and explained some things about the business.

Finally.. the place where I had the best of all cheese cakes. Blueberry cheesecake is a must try and we had oreo and mango which were also good.
It's basically the living room of a little house in Nungambakkam, that's been made into a make-shift dessert parlour where you get surprisingly tasty cheese cakes(we tried 5 different flavours, although I don't remember which ones) for within INR 100.

Finally found an awesome cheesecake place in Chennai. I tried the Lemon, Oreo, Blueberry and Red Velvet cheesecake.
Lemon and Oreo were exceptional and that to Lemon takes sometime to hit you but when it does it's flavour stays for a while and the Red Velvet was creamy. I personally wasn't fascinated by Blueberry but was good to have.
This place is too good for Chennai.

Was waiting to bump into this place. Ordered mono portions of the lemon cheesecake, I wanted red velvet but they didn't have it so ordered Ferrero rocher cheese cake and the salted caramel brownie jar.
The lemon cheesecake was nice and had a nice tangy touch to it
Since the Ferrero rocher cake was madeong ago, the half a piece of Ferrero rocher in top was completely soggy
The brownie jar was the best.
The cost was a little on the higher side for the cheesecake.
A petite hangout, in a bungalow away from the busy lanes of Nungambakkam. Was surprised to find it's been open here for 3 years. You'll enjoy your order if it's more than a kilo. Else you'll have just a bite to eat. Yeah, the size per piece is a bit small. Not so ambient, but delicious cheesecakes. The blueberry cheesecake is a delight :) You'll love it if you don't mind the price.

Ordered for a mango cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake, nutella cupcake and Ferrero rocher cupcake. I think the quantity is quite less for their price. The taste is amazing. loved it. They serve really super cool desserts. Their cheesecakes are really incredible. The prices are really very affordable. May it be the ambience or the service, it was very impressive. Blueberry Cheesecake and the peanut butter Brownie cup cake were yummy! Really worth the money.

Ahhhh her cheese cakes r jus marvelous especially the strawberry my family's all time favorite n one of the most favorite dessert cravings. The place is pretty small but Stil is pretty good. I have even tried their cupcakes which r good but the cheese cake is the deadliest. Pls do try out this place✌🏻️
This little cafe actually does have some good stuff. It's all vegetarian based, as the name suggests. I tried out the chocolate cupcakes. They were rich and creamy and baked really well, so they were fresh and soft on the insides. The blue berry cheesecake is also quite yummy. The biscotti was soft and easy to cut through and the cheesecake was the right mix of soft and firm and wasn't runny.
Best cheesecakes ever. Money well spent. I don't know why this place isn't famous! :/ Service is very Good. The place might be a bit too small but honestly, I wouldn't mind sitting on floor and have this kind of food.

After a bad lunch, a couple of us decided to have some yummy dessert to overthrow the negativity we ended up collecting. Kirtida Kale was the one to come up with Green Dot Cheesecake as a suggestion. As a shameless self proclaimed 'Expert' in Nungambakkam, I was shocked to realise that such a place existed right under my nose for quite a long time without even me knowing it. Given below is my take on Green Dot Cheesecake, Nungambakkam.
Finding this dessert parlor was strenuous task. Thankfully the Zomato's maps link came handy. It's located in Brahathambal street which can be said as the road behind Taj. Only one signboard was visible for the place which could be easily missed. As it's a street and not a main road, parking wasn't an issue. Green Dot is located in a room inside an independant house which has been converted into a boutique. It felt as if the name of this place is a homage to the white paint on their outer walls with just a few streaks of green colour in between (Or it could be the other way around, the main part is, I said this as it's the best way to find out which house it is).
The actual cafe is located in a small room which can fit in a handful of furnitures. We were five and we easily slid into our chairs as we scanned the menu. I got myself a hot Lemon tea while the rest of em ordered an assortment of cupcakes and cheesecakes. The cheesecakes were barrel shaped instead of the traditional cake style. We got a Blueberry cheesecake, an Irish coffee cheesecake, Red velvet cheesecake, Hazelnut Mousse, Peanut butter & Strawberry cupcake and a Truffle cupcake. Almost all of them were delicious and pleasing. Blueberry and Red velvet were just too awesome. The peanut one requires an acquired taste which I lacked but some of them liked it.
We also had a chat with the proprietor of the place who also took our orders and served us. Only when we conversed, I came to know that all her treats are vegetarian. I'm sure a huge section of people would be happy to hear that. She also makes cakes on order which looked pretty inexpensive.
Including another pair of cupcakes as takeaways the grand total was 635rs. For the quality and taste factor I feel that the price is reasonable. Even though the place is small with very little to offer in the name of ambience, the food won my heart and hence a 4 rating. Definitely a must try for those sugar monkeys.

A small quaint bungalow on Brahagamal road.. You need to take the left from Nungambakkan high road onto Krishnamachari road... Then the first left on Krishnamachari road...
It is situated in a bungalow on that road... Another landmark is Actor Satyarajs home is on the same road too...
We went there for desserts.... 5 of us!
The place is quite small with 2 tables and about 8 chairs... A small showcase that displays her packaging materials and some news articles... The place gives a very happy vibe...
*Blueberry cheesecake: light cheese with a tangy blueberry compote on top and nice biscuit crust...
*Irish coffee cheesecake: very tasty cheesecake with a subtle coffee flavour.
*Red Velvet cheesecake: another red velvet that I would not mind a second helping of... I am not a big red velvet fan because of too much sweetness but this one just the right amount of sweet.
*Peanut Butter and Strawberry cupcake: enjoyed my friend Kiran but the others weren't that happy with it.... So unless u like peanut I would say you avoid it...
*Hazelnut Mouse: very soft and not so cold mousse... It was really fresh... But we wished it was lil cooler than room temperature..
*Truffle cupcake: very yummy... Like a true truffle .. Very tasty and chocolatey...
*Hot Lemon Tea
Total bill was 635... Which is quite vfm for all that we ate...
Neha Mehta is the brain behind Green Dot... All her preparations are vegetarian... She also takes orders for theme based cakes....
So if you feel blue...head to Green Dot to drive those blues away... Or to have their wide range of cheesecakes....:)
I have been having cakes and cheese cakes from Green Dot for birthdays and other occasions. I had a different birthday party last Sunday.
I mentioned the theme of the birthday party. It was my husband's birthday as well as our kitten's birthday party who turned 1 couple of weeks back.
They designed a super cute cake - 1st half of the cake - a cute kitten face and 2nd half a cricket field.
Blueberry and white chocolate cake - was super yummy and pretty looking. The sweetness was so right. Such a super hit with all the guests. Thanks a lot for all the efforts.

Blueberry Muffin and Peanut butter brownie.
There are no words to describe them. They taste really good. You guys should really try them out. They are taste worthy. After a one full day of work, I would love to go there and have a dessert dinner. The shop closes early. So guys go there by 6 pm and have a delicious dessert dinner.
It is located near to the Taj Coromandel . Do not worry, they are not going to drill a hole in your pocket. Cheesecakes are really good. This restaurant is like a little home - warm and healthy.
My first visit and I wasn't disappointed, The cheese cake were Yum and the varieties of flavours were good. Good for take away and part orders.
As name reveals, it's a veggies paradise for eggless stuff, well, the cup cakes are yum and even the cakes (available only on prior booking) are good....the cheesecake wasn't that great thou....Ambience to sit and eat isn't good either...friendly ppl and staff ! Not to miss the blueberry cupcakes!!

My friend and I wanted to try out new bakeries in the city - and so we came up with a list and finally decided to head to Green Dot Cheesecake. Tucked away in a quiet, residential area in Nungambakkam, Green Dot Cheesecake offers light and creamy cakes. We ordered a lemon cheesecake and a peanut-butter + strawberry cupcake. We weren't too happy with the strawberry cupcake, it was just OK. The lemon cheesecake was delicious and was quite light on the stomach - compared to other cheesecakes we've tried. The downside was that it wasn't very filling.

This bakery is surprisingly unknown in Chennai considering their cakes are superb.
It is located right behind Taj Coromandel in Nungambakkam.
Two days ago, I had to order a red velvet cake on short notice, and called Green Dot to help.
I ordered the cake at 12 noon, and they baked it fresh for me (They often bake only once they get an order, so you can guarantee it will be fresh!). I picked it up from their outlet at 7 PM and it looked superb.
A one-kg cake cost 1000 bucks, and was undoubtedly one of the best red velvet cakes I have had in Chennai (beating even Bangalore's Glen's Bakehouse).
The cream cheese frosting was superb and didn't go bad even after being left out in the open for an hour. The cake was crumbly and just melted in my mouth. One friend had seven helpings of cake!
Definitely one of the places you should go to if you enjoy Red Velvet cakes at very reasonable prices.

Green Dots has been on my wishlist for a very long time, infact I did go there but found them closed as it was a Sunday.
A friend of mine how was aware of the fact that this place is on my wish list got my birthday from here. So, my review is based on what he has told me at the place and the taste yes is my review.
So he says that the place is small and sweet and is run by a young lady. And he says it is good to look at with a a lot of tiny cupcakes and cheesecakes on display.
Now coming to my birthday cake it was yummy… he got me a blueberry cheesecake… I swear you can’t get yourself to stop eating this cake. The cake was suppose to look like a flower pot, but by the time it reached me it was was out of shape. But that is basically because of the 10 odd kms travel on bike and also he told that the lady forgot to put a ring she was suppose to keep the cake in shape. But the taste was just amazing, frankly it isn’t like the other cheesecakes I have had; this one is a lot lighter and maybe that is the reason why it didn’t stay in shape and also why you can’t get yourself to stop eating. The cake was yes very different cheesecake but the best cheesecake ever!
The cake wasn’t inexpensive but I guess decent for Chennai standards. On asking my friend told me that half kg of blueberry cheesecake costed him 700 change. And also they are pretty quick, he ordered the cake in the afternoon and collected on the very evening.

I was meeting a friend behind the Taj on Nungambakkam and found this quaint clothes store/ cake shop. We ordered a couple of mono portion cheesecakes and a brownie. The cheesecake was nice and creamy with a wonderful fruit syrup to jazz it up, the base was nice and crunchy which added a nice texture to the experience. The brownie was individually wrapped and neat, it was moist with a nice kick in flavour it could do with a little bit of spice in terms of either cinnamon or star anise to add a little punch.
Overall the location and the food experience was heart warming.
Great food! Made with alot of care! The name attracted my cheese cake crazy sister and me and we were so pleasantly surprised with the variety and taste of the cheese cakes..so I ordered custom cupcakes for a friend's baby shower and I was delivered extremely yummy cupcakes that the whole party couldn't stop eating! So the next time around we ordered yummy chocolate mousse for a huge family dinner and Neha outdid herself again! So for yum food and great service I highly recommend green dot cheese cake!!!

Went to this quaint little place and was happy with their delectable spreads. They had cheesecakes in strawberry, lemon, pinacolada, mulberry...I am always partial to strawberry and it was so rich and amazing. The base of the cheesecake was divine!
I also packed some cupcakes for later...I liked that they were not of butter cream (so unhealthy and fattening as compared to chocolate ganache), and small in size, so I could finish it easily.
Their chocolate mousse comes in cute little cups, and tasted very good! Overall glad that I could take these for my husband, who is pure vegetarian! He sure enjoyed it!
For the best and most affordable eggless/vegetarian baked goodies in the city, i would definitely recommend Green Dot Cheesecake. They have a wide range of products on display and available on order consisting of cheesecakes, cup cakes, tarts etc....oh..and the chocolate mousse is absolutely to die for. A good place to make a quick stop and pick up snacks and desserts at any time. The adjoining boutique also offers a good shopping experience....Doesnt hurt at all:)))
