The word "Hotel" is misleading as it is only a restaurant with AC and non-AC sections.
If you come to Hotel Select with the understanding that it is mainly meant to be a quick stop for auto drivers and bus conductors, you will find it quite a decent place. It experiences a full house every morning when people come in for a quick cup of coffee - which is delicious by the way.
Both veg and non veg items are served here, with a great number of items on the menu.
The chicken biryani, simple as it is, is my favourite and is what I most often have whenever I come here.
Some of the "special" items aren't really worth the extra money.
Lunch during audits, this is where we would go. I like the chicken briyani, the Schezwan chicken noodles and the chicken fried rice is what we'd order, followed by a pomegranate juice.

Once upon a time it was the hotel (MALAYALATHAN KADAI) for the rickshaw guys and auto guy, it would be called the night hotel, till 1 am it would be open, the famous dishes were parota-egg curry, tea, coffee and biriyani. Now the transformation has occurred it's become one of the best hotels in Mylapore having a family AC CABIN inside as a part, the quality of food Is yummy 😋😋😋to the core. The cutlery is really good the waiters are very prompt and all round class economical hotel in Mylapore specially for non-vegetarian that to KERALA style

Famous for its: tea,Samosas,Biriyani,appam,chicken curry,paya barotta and select spl chicken biriyani.

Its a fusion of madaras and Malabar.
If you are tired of the regular madras biriyani available all over the city just come here to taste the culinary fusion of madras and Malabar flavours in your biriyani.Never to miss the appam and the chicken curry and also the barotta.And you can't offered to miss their tea after the meal,just heavenly and very good for digestion.one of the best tea in world I would say.
VERDICT:if you want to taste a fusion and unique biriyani with a commendable taste..this is the place.

a very much under-rated hotel ! their USP is that it is open till 1:00 am, and you dont have to pay a premium for eating food at say 1:00 am like some other counterparts(aka midnight express) who charge a premium for such late night eat outs!
AMBIENCE: typical kerala esque restaurant with wooden chairs and tables , which i suprisingly find cozy, fairer-sex friendly,they have a air-conditioned section. noisy both at night aswell as the day.A bit of a camouflaged find,but easy to spot at night time!parking is a pain especially in the day time as it is a busy juction/signal.
FOOD:has that keralite touch, BIRIYANI CATEGORY: THE CHETTA BIRIYANI, has a nice flavour and love that gravy which bottoms in the averagely sized bowl. appam and chicken curry is awesome but seafood is 'nasam'(bad).dont miss the malabar parottas and nicely cooked tandoori chicken,Chinese cuisine, i would not suggest. overall the food will put a smile on your face.
SERVICE: very good and courteous.
PRICE: not expensive.
TIP:worth mentioning if not for the food , do sit down for a chai(tea),Déjà vu buhari!

Neat and one of Best Non veg Hotel at Mylapore ! The best part is if u get hungry at 1.30 at midnight also just visit here u'll get variety of dishes !! I would be nice if they have door delivery also :-)

Mutton soup tandoori chicken fried rice full car naan these are the things which is really worth for the money but apart from this kind of manchurian Dragon chicken does not work for it because adding too much of ajinomoto and colour powder and the portion size will be very less you better go for chettinad kind of stuff which is really good and worth for the money to consume the service wise very clean and neat and service.

As my 1 year experience in chennai... it's very difficult to match their meals standard with anyone. Best thing about this is their price. Yeah i can cut one star because of unhygienic drinking water supply. After this they will rectify that i know. Good job 👏 👍

Nice place in luz corner in between the busy shopping area. A/C hall is small to accommodate more than 5 family/groups. Food quality is good typical kerala style for some dishes. Other than that we have to taste and share the experience.
Likes to have samosa and tea rather than others nowa days samoosa and tea is missing there may be crowded only in lunch time snacks missing means 10am to 12-45and again 3-45to7-45 only empty tables can be seen in that time

Great quality non veg and juice. This place serves all meals, it's not a breakfast restaurant (as previously mentioned). Juices are somewhat overpriced.
A good non vegetarian hotel for this area mylapore. Simplest is the non veg meals and best is something only each person can decide :p
