Hyderabad Chicken Biryani is a must try for all the Spicy Biryani lovers. I can safely say that this is one of the very few good Biryani (Spicy) places in Chennai. Finally found the right place! One Hyderabad Chicken Biryani can easily serve two.
Veg Biryani too is amazingly brilliant. It can serve more than 2 ppl easily.

Hotel Hollywood is just few meters away from where I stay but still I prefer home delivery from this placeππ Looks like they have undergone renovations in the recent times not just with the look of the hotel but also with the food.
They offer this yummmy spl biriyani which is super good , it has good amount of soft and tender chicken which is really juicy and the rice itself looks and tastes different and good than that of a normal biriyani ππ The rice is combined with some scrambled egg ,cahew nuts and raisins which takes the biriyani to vera level πππ Complimented with fried egg , raitha and the yummy gravy. The normal biriyani also tastes equally good ππ but i would suggest the special biriyani!! I think prawns and chicken have the special options π
I Love Their crispy chicken which is one of my favorite dish and this is something i order on a regular basis ππππ
Recently i tried their idiyapam (you get 5 pieces for 1set) with Malabar chicken gravy it was really good.I loved the gravy ππ and was really happy that my parents loved it π

Ambiance was good.
Ordered egg kothu parota, mutton cutlet(awesome stuff), fish finger. Egg Kothu parota and mutton cutlet was delicious. Fish finger was normal.
Mutton cutlet had stuffed mutton chops which was baked well. Cutlet with tomato chilli sauce was finger licking good. I loved it.
Small Hotel which could accommodate around 40 people at a time.
Car parking was not available. Covered bike parking was available.
Food was excellent.
Service also ok
All malayalis, feeling 100% quality in food.

Hotel Hollywood, Arcot Road:
It's great fun to relive your favourite childhood moments and for me it was my dinner date with my parents at Hotel Hollywood, which is very closely associated with my childhood. As kids, we would wait for my mom to travel out of station so we can order/have food from here π.
Absolute favourite the Idiyappam (βΉ30/plate of 5) and Mutton Paaya (βΉ190), which was as usual good. The Paaya from here one wouldn't realise anything while eating but the after taste is a hint of slightly spicy gravy. Paaya is a huge piece so one needs to be really patient while eating it. I always have my Omelette (βΉ40) customised and they would oblige to give me a onionless Omelette. Personally, I like it that way. Mutton Cutlet (βΉ160) here would have chunks of Mutton in it and not mince. Very generous portion, I must say.
Mutton Pepper Masala (βΉ200) clubbed with Appam (βΉ20 for 4 Pcs) and Wheat Parotta (βΉ30 for 4 Pcs) were the other dishes ordered. I certainly liked the Appam with that super spicy Mutton Pepper. My parents felt that the Parotta wasn't as good as their previous visits. The ritual is to finish off the meal with their tea (βΉ20) which we followed, as always.
Very tasty food and the serving is really fast and you could have a great time with your loved ones.

One of the landmark place in Kodambakkam while ago and been known for their biriyani and tea. Lately it's got renovated and it's been on the ground floor while top floors are residential ones.
Still their biriyanis are awesome and one of my favourite. Most of the times I used to get parcel as I used to be close by. They have typical mughali biriyani and the aroma will pull when you open them. Good thing is that it will hot every time I tried and it seems they prepare on their own inside the restaurant. Others dishes are good too but tried only few.
Don't expect too much of ambience, it's simple restaurant for awesome biriyani!

Very old brand name. Typical malayali non veg hotel. Order any malayali traditional food., no disappointment. Very often i try malabar parotta with egg curry or fry. Don't miss their signature tea. Overall its a good place.
My second home in the city for some yummy comfort food. Have been a regular visitor for over twenty five years. Yes, they've been gone for a few years in-between.

How much do i miss this place, If ever i am getting back to Chennai i am going here to have lunch for sure. Hollywood Special Chicken Biryani has this Chicken 65 inside the biryani with fried whole egg! Perfect combination with a Mint Cooler will make sure you are done for a good meal!
Another moderate hotel in the locality, not one with a hi-fi, new-gen looks and ambiance. So, those going there with a new-gen restaurant in their mind may be disappointed. But, if you are looking for some good food, especially Kerala style you may go here. The non-veg meals and the fish curry they serve is just as the one you get in any such hotels across Kerala-especially through Malabar.

Here the chicken spring roll was sooooooo huge for 140rp and it was also very good. The fried rice Gobi Manchurian combination was good. Mushroom spicy gravy was good too...

I had vegetable biriyani here, for lunch. The quantity was more than adequate and it tasted good too. As for the ambiance, it was quite noisy and off-putting. The orders were taken promptly. They arrived promptly too. As for the cost, I'd say that the food's worth the money.
I'll maybe try more of what they have to offer, some other time.
I always order Home Delivery from here and they are very prompt and courteous. The food is also very tasty and affordable. I will recommend their Kerala Chicken Fry and Butter Chicken n Ghee rice.

This marvelous place has been serving tastbud tingling dishes to locals for more than dacades...its as old as kodambakam n its film history..i hav beed visiting this place for more than a decade wit ma family..their pepper payya with appam is sooo irrestable.

The mouth watering dishes having varieties. You will love them!!! Treating eyes with good ambience and food presentation. An old family restaurant. once upon a time this restaurant is the well known place, but now it is faded by competition. Place is hygiene, good customer service, quality of food is good, but rate of food high. This restaurant is located near ss hyderabad biryani. Good place for dine-in and have parking space also. We can order food from swiggy also.

Chicken fried rice was good. Briyani can be more better. Take wheat parotta when it's hot. Most of their dishes has Kerala taste. I guess they prepare the food in Kerala style. Not may have enough place for car park. Being their at weekdays the restaurant is not much crowded. I would say try the hotel hollywood once of you a foodie.

Excellent food. Awesome taste. I just love it. Chicken lollipop with mayonnaise or sauce was the best. Hyderabad briyani was excellent. Mr. Pazhani was taking good care of everyone. whenever we go to that hotel. We literally want pazhani Sir to serve us.

recently they have revised the prices and slightly increased,But not to blame them when the central govt keeps on increasing the price of basic essentials what will they do.
Our all time favourite restaurant especially in the night, they are good in making Ceylon parotta, chicken fried rice, chicken 65, pepper chicken dry, mutton nalli kurma etc are their must try dishes.
Decent mallu hotel at reasonable price. Their biriyani is very average. Parotta and any nonveg gravies won't disappoint your taste buds. Definitely you have taste their tea before billing. Overall it's a good place.
Parotta kuruma & chally are the best items in this hotel. Taste are ever same for more than 25 years . I came over here after so many years but
no difference noticed in taste.
This place is really a good place for Chinese foods and biriyani. Everytime I visit here I'll surely order special Chicken biriyani, my friend recommended it once and its really the best biriyani you'll get in the surrounding. But gravy items are a bit oily, and you could actually see it floating if you don't touch it for long time, otherwise the food here is really the best
