When one of your friend wanted to eat ice cream and the whole group ends up eating at the all time favourite ice cream parlour. I for the first time visited this branch. Had tender coconut and Rajbhog flavour. The toppings chosen were Choco chips, multi chocolate chips, honey. The tender coconut taste was close to real and the Raj bhog was too sweet for me. It tasted like GulabJamun with a hint of cardamom. Will try other items soon. They have waffle cones, juices, stick and chocolates too. Price is per 100 gm. The quality is good. We have tried mango-litchi and cappuccino flavours. Both were really good. Their milk chocolate flavour is simple superb.
This place could be a bit crowded on weekends and holidays. They have just 3-4 tables.

I've been to Italy and just did the semi-freddo trail of the 10 best ice cream shops in Rome. I've been an ice cream maniac in more countries than most people visit. So truth be told I know my ice cream.
These guys sell some very expensive but very awesome ice-cream. They always have new and unique flavours. And the outlet closest to me is quite crowded and "standing room only" at all times.
Unlike the rest of Chennai that shuts down quite early (me Mumbaikar... That city never sleeps), Ibaco remains open late to satisfy post dinner ice cream outings.
Go for it. You just can't go wrong.

This ice cream parlor is very clean and maintaining good. Interior are cool with colors. Many new varieties are there, you can try as many ad you can. You can taste and select any ice cream. Also you can buy ice cream cake with different options. If you want they will suggest few options based on your interest. Bike parking is available with decent space but car parking on your own risk. Overall you can try once.

This is the first time I was trying Ibaco ice creams. I visited this place along with a friend and we ordered a Tropical Jackfruit ice cream as well as fruit bonanza ice cream.<br/><br/>They charge for the ice cream by weight so each 100 grams is 90 rupees plus taxes as far as I can remember. Both the ice creams are super delicious but my favorite is their Jackfruit ice cream. <br/><br/>The best thing about Ibaco ice creams is their high quality of milk used for making their ice creams.

Poor service and support. I had placed an order for the Fruit and Blackcurrent Drizzle ice cream cake but i got a chocolate sundae in return. 1. I had ordered something fruity and not chocolaty<br/>2. if you had to alter my order, atleast have the curtsey to call and update of such a change. There was no response from their restaurant afterwards and my calls kept being put on hold. Extremely unprofessional work and a total waste of my money.

I like to try new places. Ibaco was the one I never heard of, but after some research I came to know it's a multinational brand.<br/>My 1 and only advice to the people visiting this place will be, this place has very good ice cream but be wise while ordering. Be wiser choosing your toppings. I tried Mango kingdom, wild berry, tropical jackfruit and peach n strawberry duet. I know, I have tried a lot in one visit. I liked jackfruit the most but all were okay. I mentioned to be wise in toppings choice because Ibaco sells ice cream as per the weight and not as per the flavor or topping. I was wondering why they consider the bowl weight too. Anyway, must try place for after meal dessert.

It's a nice desert place in velachery. It's one of the best ice cream places in Chennai. They have lot of varieties of ice creams, toppings, flavours, nuts and what not. We had a hard time selecting the proper combination. Finally went with butterscotch ice cream in waffle cone topped with brownies, chocolate sauce and nuts. The taste was incredible. It's totally worth the money.

Ibaco has been my go to place for ice-cream ...may it be Palavakkam, Thiruvanmiyur, Velachery or any outlets en route my journey.<br/><br/>The variety of ice cream they serve is amazing, my fav’s being Cream & cookies, Maharaja Bhog and recently I have started to like Bubble-gum. I usually go with no toppings at all or sometimes assorted nuts.<br/><br/>For those who have not visited Ibaco, they serve close to 30 different flavours of ice-cream where the serving size and the price is measured in terms of weight. You can mix and match the flavours with toppings (nuts, praline, gems, sprinkles, choco chips, sauces, waffles) as your tongue and eye pleases. But there stops your creativity. This place hit a rather emotional spot for me. I am not a big fan of ice cream and usually stay away from the regular stuff. I prefer to have the really fruity variety or the rum and raisin flavour when those rare hankerings arise. A friend i really respected brought home an ice cream cake from Ibaco. It was like a black forest with frozen vanilla in between layers. I really dislike the Indian excuse for a black forest, hate regular fresh cream icing and ice cream just as much. Well, these are tge 3 elements that form an ice cream cake! But I realise that its just my personal opinion. It was decorated so beautifully that i had to bite in. The cake was good....not enough to convert me though. But we keep ordering this cake now in memory of the friend who expired....just to reminisce the good moments.

It has only one small bottom layer which is cake, rest full thing is ICE-CREAM! So many layers inside it and the blend is perfect. Strawberry, Vanilla, Chocolate and butter cake for base. All flavors went very good with each other. It was pretty hard to cut, but we managed somehow ( must be that excitement to eat it ). We were only three, so it was vry heavy for all of us, yet we stuffed our tummy completely

I went for the "Caribbean cookie castle" and was definitely not disappointed. Packing: [5/5] The packing was good and the exec didn't make any false promises on how long the ice cream would stand good outside fridge. He gave me 30 mins and I rushed home to plonk it in the fridge. Appearance [5/5] It was absolutely yummy to look at. The moment I saw the ice cream cake, I smiled :) Taste: [4/5] It was fabulous - the layering of cake and ice cream was absolutely delicious. I would have liked for the cake to be a little more spongy and succulent; Found it a little dry for my taste. But it probably is as dry for a reason.. to withstand the ice cream on top of it.. I am not an expert here but I really liked it.

Icecream Cake was the only particular reason we had to visit this outlet. Ambience comprises of typical 4-5 small tables which can easily give space to 4 people per table. Two prime occassions we visited this outlet is for ordering new year cake and birthday cake. Icecream cake had the perfect combination of texture and taste. Ibaco has many outlets all across Chennai. We visited this place after a good meal at haven sampoorna. <br/><br/>The ambience is pretty much the same for all the outlets. The wallpaper with the description of some ice creams and the photos of them. There is also a TV which keeps on playing the video of ingredients and the ice creams in repeat mode. <br/><br/> Ibaco also serves Ice cream cakes. Those are really yummy one should definitely try them. Ice creams, all their flavors are good and tasting everything is worth it. We had Belgium chocolate, butterscotch irish coffee and black current. The black current one is completely covered by the chocolate sauce. All the flavors are real good. But only some flavors are your favorite always. The Mississippi mud is always unavailable. There cones are really good my friend was saying. Should try them on next visit. Will be visiting this outlet more often here after. <br/><br/>Cost, 70rs for 100g. So depends on how many scoops and the weight of your toppings.<br/><br/>My rating would be 3.5/5.

Came with my friend to have ice cream here. They had good options and sell as per weight of icecream !! <br/>the taste was good but was little pricey.. <br/>Too much of hot weather in chennai might be the reason.. <br/>Overall Kind of OK.

This place is awesome.. huge.. and very clean.. the staff is friendly.. around 25 people can have a dose of ibaco at a time.. yummy ice cream.. make sure to add chocolate sauce and nuts to your choice of flavor.. i went for the coffee flavor and my husband went for the rum and raisin..

Ice cream of good standard in reasonable price. The size of their single scoop is much larger than that of the Basken & Robins's, but at much cheaper price. Quality and taste is also really good. They don't charge extra for the toppings. I would strongly recommend it.

Usually I dont visit a store exclusively for eating ice creams but ibaco made me so tempted to visit this store again and again. One nice thing about this ice cream parlour is they charge you based on the quantity including the toppings even though it comes at a premium price, you wont regret it. <br/><br/>Would be great if they provide the ice-cream cakes too in small portions rather than just in 1/2 or 1kg for one person consumption

Great ice cream for an average price .... I hav tasted a few, There is nothing that i didnt like at this place... It was my first visit and I dont think i will go anywhere else for icecream anymore .

Taste : 4/5 ; Ambiance : 3/5 ; Service : 2/5 ; VFM : 3/5<br/><br/>Went to ibaco velachery yesterday to have a good ice cream..as i have visited a couple more ibacos near my locality i have a fair idea of how it operates...But i will give a second thought before i venture in this outlet again..<br/><br/>Parking : Only for 2 wheelers...4 wheelers problematic..<br/><br/>Ambiance : Good and well maintained..typical ibaco interior...<br/><br/>Service : Worst i have faced yet...even after me telling repeatedly i do not need more than 120-130 grms on each scoop they were hell bend on scooping 150+ grms..even if we are paying based on the weight there is a limit of how much a person wants to consume..so we ended up sharing the ice creams due to the quantity..they tell they cant exactly take 120-130 grms..but according to me they can take exactly 160 -170 grms on each scoop..i have visited other outlets and when i tell i need less quantity they see to that it happens..but here i think due to their less business they try to shove everything on the few customers they get... <br/><br/>Taste : Typical Ibaco taste...i love the flavors here...my favorite being mango and queen's toffee<br/><br/>Value for Money : 70rs for 100grms is bit on the higher side..but the taste makes upto it..but i would not recommend this outlet due to their service..they do not pay heed to the customers word..and do as they wish...but eventhough you end up visiting this place would advice to buy double scoop rather than single scoop and share it.its more more cost effective that way..

Went there after a friend suggested to try the tropical jack fruit flavor. That is the only flavour we tried and that was just too good. Gives in nice packaging for take away also.

The place is nice but ice cream is basically road side taste with good quality and pricing is of that matching to baskin robbins a definite miss better to go for baskin robins which few blocks away from this place.

On the quest to finding Baskin Robbins in Velachery, we stumbled upon Ibaco and decided to venture in. One more drawing point was the ad we saw at one of the cinemaplexes, which impregnated the urge even more. <br/>So, the shop is fancy, with photos of fruits, some fun facts and a pristine environment. My husband ordered the tutti fruity(it's not called that though) and I went with the classics ie the strawberry. We got some toppings of our choice and were all excited. Boy, were we in for some sugar rush. I couldn't differentiate between the flavors, as all I tasted was sugar. <br/>So sweet was the taste, that we outgrew it in a few bites. <br/>Plus the ice cream is sold at 700 bucks per kg (including toppings, pro-rata), which is as expensive as hagen daz and tastes worse than a local made brand. <br/>The quality is rich but the taste and experience go into oblivion because of the sugar content. <br/><br/>Word of caution - diabetics should avoid this at all costs.
