For those of you who haven’t tried mildas, you don’t know what you’re missing. Their chocolate (my personal favourite - chocolate almond) is without a doubt the best ice cream in Chennai. Once you’ve had this, nothing else compares (provided you have good taste in food). I really hope they’re successful and also keep up their quality. Ps- those who gave it poor review have either not tried their chocolate ones or have issues with their taste buds and deserve only fake ice cream like Walls.
Really nice icecreams. Have tried the tender coconut, Belgium dark chocolate, lychee and mango.
Tastes great. Will definitely recommend this place to anybody who is looking for natural icecream.
Its a compact place with comfy sitting arrangement. We visited on one evening and scoops of dark chocolate and oreo.. It tasted so good that we didnt take a pic of it.. The highlight was there is a seperate section of natural fusion icecreams and the conventional ones
only problem what i found ..that there was no menu card it says regular small large and all but how does one find out what he is paying for and what is he getting ..? they should be more clear on pricing
coming to ice cream its a lovely place should visit taste good and clean and tidy and very friendly staff unlike other places they dont think twice to let u taste before u decide to order ...
When yo wanna try Wow kind of natural flavour icecreams then tiz s d place. they do serve almost all fruit flavours.. ordered tender coconut, watermelon, green grapes & blue berry... all Wer too good.. but my personal favourite is Belgium dark chocolate it's heavenly.. may not be a great value for money joint but worth giving a try..
Icecreams wr really good and different compared to the usual ones we have. It's definitely worth trying it out.
But Most of the flavors wr not available.
It's so original and tasty .every ice cream is exactly like having a cool fruit .I ll surely visit this parlour often I love it woooooooooow
After a long jog from kilpauk, me and Thasneem Masood stopped to catch our breath and spotted thancos bright yellow board. We decided to grab a scoop of ice cream before we continued our jog. (Total fail)
We tried a scoop of Belgian almond and Belgian walnut each. Rich in flavour, thick and totally refreshing.
A scoop of ice cream costs 80 bucks. Totally worth your money!!
Thancos natural ice cream 🍦 😋
It was located near near near ???? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 its near only 😆😆 please check google map 🗺 😝
Actually on that day we were on pursuit of pocket friendly restaurants and coming to the last stage we need a good ice cream to fill that very little space in our stomach
This one is very pocket friendly and I think it's just 90 am not very sure about the cost but it's around 80 to 90 only
We ordered Belgium chocolate 🍫 it was really really awesome I ll also like to have chocolate flavored ice creams so this one was like too good for me and I can assure that others flavors will also good coz the quality of the ice cream we had is too good so if want good ice cream & you don't have more money please visit this place 👌🏻👌🏻
4/5 overall
Thancos natural icecream parlour - located in Anna Nagar East . Google map comes to the rescue. Having found many new icecream parlours in town , this place was definitely a big time regret for not visiting it for so long !
Craving for icecream late after dinner , decided to hit this place .
Ambience is just simple , low tables and chairs which I couldn't find comfortable .
Ordered one Belgian chocolate icecream 🍦
Oh my !! Belgian chocolate I so love it man !! It was Chocolaty and droolicious 😍❤️️
Worth 80/- bucks
Definitely coming back again when I am broke😋
Though there is no fancy presentation of the ice cream and though it is only scooped out of the tub and given as scoops, the taste is just brilliant and you can tell it is naturally made. Their flavours are various and each one makes justice to its name, compared to creamy Inn where everything tastes the same. This is a place too good not to go!
Natural Ice cream - Tasty Too. Of late, this natural ice cream parlor have popped up in few main locale.
This is next to the CUB branch near chintamani signal. Parking is adequate.
They have utilized the space well. A counter that serve, small cushion cubes to sit and smaller rectangular tables to hold the cups.
Menu is split to dry fruits, chocolate and fruit sections to choose. Had Belgium dark chocolate and litchi fruit ice cream. The flavors were original and tasted good. The Belgium flavor was ok. Litchi had week concentrate of the fruit.
Service was ok. They don't have card machine. They serve the in waffle cone only when asked. Pricing is reasonable.
I regret not visiting this place much earlier having lived so closeby. One random visit and I've renounced any ideas of every visiting Ibaco, Cream & Fudge and Cream Stone which are around Thanco's. Sure their ice creams aren't fancifully presented as the formers, but the taste and prices are very satisfying.
It's a natural ice cream parlour with flavours like tender coconut, jackfruit, Alphonso mango, litchee, guava, banana, anjeer, dry fruits, coffee butterscotch, malai, coffee almond, papaya, grapes, melon, strawberry, blackcurrant, sapota, ghulkand, etc. and just weird ones I'd never dare to taste ginger, paan, green chilli and green tea. They also have sugar free ice creams. These flavours all cost ₹70. Belgian Chocolate, almond and nuts ice cream cost ₹80. You get to taste samples before placing your order.
Personally tasted and highly recommended :-
- Tender Coconut - Just heavenly, hands down the best and my favourite.
- Jackfruit - With real bits of jackfruit, its too good.
- Anjeer (figs) - This is a delicious treat for those who love figs and the texture is crackling with seeds. Yummy!
- Alphonso mango - Tastes exactly like mango pulp.
- Guava - Pink and super strong in flavour and crunchy seeds.
- Belgian Dark Chocolate - So rich in flavour its worth every penny of ₹80. So much cheaper and on par with Amadora.
And the best part, the bill is completely tax free. The seating is minimal. Some standard flavours like vanilla are lacking but each and every flavour is true to its original fruit. No toppings either which actually let you savour the flavour of the ice cream so well. Very authentic and tasty. Super cute décor and attentive service. I'm a weekly customer and they take bulk orders too.
Visited the outlet yesterday. Small parlor with few seatings. After seeing the display counter wanted to try the MIRCHI flavoured, sampled it.. really it is SPICY. So ordered SUGARFREE anjeer, it was creamy and chunks of fruit made the ice cream amazing to taste👌One scoop costs 80 rupees. Recommended!!
A nice place hangout, but not a easy notable place. It is small place with nice ambience. The taste of the ice cream is really good, on a reasonable price of 70 per scoop.
Not a big place, but quality and quantity are good. If you are a chocolate lover you should try Belgium chocolate with fried almonds. Will love the smooth taste. The natural flavors are good, should try the jack fruit. affordable compared to Ib__o and BnR's
Best ice cream in Chennai. Sitaphal, Belgian Walnut and Alphonso are supreme specialities and their Vanilla (with real Vanilla bean) is also a simple but sophisticated and rich, creamy flavour, unlike other Vanilla ice cream brands that are commercially available.
Pragati Jayachandran
+4.5
Thancos is definitely better than Naturals in Banglore and Mumbai, in my experience. sitafal lovers have to hit this place now(july to...idk) to make use of the season. found a new favourite in anna nagar! nice range of flavors and worth 70 bucks.
P.S: they have green mirchi flavour..though it is not the most wanted and most soothing to the tongue, i was fascinated by the taste. It's real, baby. ;)
Did a trial with Sapotta, Kulfi, Belgian Chocolate n Paan flavour ice-creams
Then decided to have Belgian Chocolate n Tender Coconut ....
True to it's name both the flavours were a treat to taste buds
I could still feel that powder of that Belgian Chocolate
VFM? Yes
For 3 cups of ice-cream the bill was around 400, Belgian chocolate is costly but it's worth it
Wondering why this place is empty even though it tasted all good
June 2015
Excellent place. The staff are very nice and the ice-creams are delicious. Also, very reasonably priced. You can feel the fruits in the ice-creams.
Reasonably priced. Place is kind of small, but doesn't matter cause it doesn't get too crowded. They have flavors ranging from tender coconut to chilli to paan. Not a huge ice cream buff, but I like the place. In need of some natural fruity hippie ice cream?
Do try this place out.
Thanco very much.
This is such an underrated place for desserts but I love it! It's not always about having big places, this is a very tiny joint but hey, you just gotta love the ice creams and milkshakes these guys come up with. Like the name goes, you'll get to have these, with it's natural intended flavors. Now I know this may not come close to what they originally have it in Mumbai but it's something.
If you're uncertain about what to choose out of the 20 odd flavors that you'd see, fret not. You have the liberty to taste pretty much everything there is, they have to offer. Just make sure you don't end up leaving without basketing a cup/sipper, which I highly doubt you'd do that after getting to tasting it, even if it's just a glimpse.
And for that reason, I've tried all of it, and easily Belgium Chococalte is my favorite, be it - ice cream or the milkshake version. Once you have this, you're bound to come back for another. That's talking about the quality which is top notch. When it comes to quantity, it's no where near wholesome. You just get to have a lil' scoop of it, that's probably the only thing not so satisfying about this outlet, if I can call it a con.
The best natural ice creams in Anna nagar! Do visit once, not too expensive. My personal favorites are Belgian chocolate & Jack fruit
Want to try the real flavour of icecream, visit this place. Awesome place and awesome ice creams.
