We ordered plain briyani , Tandoori chicken , Mutton chukka masala.. Food was good in taste.
You can get a part of authentic taste of chettinad food cuisine..
Ambience is good.
It takes 5 mins from velachery railway station and thuraipakkam to reach here.
Pocket friendly place. Best Quality and Quantity. The taste of food is soo gud. Very good service. Size of the place is small. Pakka chettinad taste.
Price is cheap compared to other hotels. Quantity will be better and quality will be good. We always opt for madurai devar when our budget is low. Dont forget to try its Naatukozhi fry and tandoori chicken.
Had egg kal Dosai and normal Dosai was good.
The sambar and 2 varieties of chutney are tasty.
Had the egg kothu parota which is juicy and good.
The chicken kari Dosa is so big and can't be finished by a single person and very good.
Chicken fried rice is also good.
Ambience is very good with proper seating and lighting.
Service is very good.

We ordered online non veg meals there and tandoori chicken..taste was nice.They gava banana leaf also..mutton and chicken kulambu was nice.packaging was also perfect..
This is a kind of chattinad restaurant .. origin from dindukal , biriyani and parotta n gravy r all good ... I din try the other dish... I feel the rate is little high for me... Good for family weekend outing for lunch or dinner... And it has a big car parking too...
Was very doubtful before going in hear. Ordered biriyani (135rs) and half thandhoori(170rs). The biriyani is very good .... it tasted like fully natural flavors without any biriyani essence..so big thumbs up for natural flavoring. And the thandhoori is nicely cooked.. and tasted perfect. Over all it is value for money. And the serving is also good.
Good and fine at first it reminded me of my native places and different taste around Tamil Nadu but at current the taste isn't the same but still it's good economic
A nice place to try during the weekends as other places are crowded! Go for authentic south Indian foods instead of Chinese or else u might be disappointed. Kari dosa is a must try! Especially mutton kari dosa!

I have been to this place earlier as well but I had vegetarian food that time but when I visited it last Tuesday I was able to have non vegetarian food and damn it was pretty good as it says as chettinadu restaurant. We ordered Naatu kozhi soup and Mutton pepper masala along with Tandoori parota, naan and garlic naan.
The soup was at its best. It had a proper chicken seasoned with the soup which was not so soft but not so chewy.
The Mutton pepper masala was spiced up nicely and we loved the Mutton pieces in the gravy.
All breads were good with Tandoori parota being on the top which is similar to the lacha paratha from the north.
Few things that needs. To be improved are as follows
* The gravy is very less in quantity not sufficient enough to close out by two persons.
* Ordinary spoons were provided for the soup which kinda made it difficult to consume it.
* Would have been great if there was butter on the garlic naan. I have never seen a plain garlic naan. Or they can add a separate item called butter garlic naan.
Would definitely visit this place often as its just nearby my place and my friend loves it...
The non veg meals is good and worth for the money that u pay. We go on weekends to have a yummy meals. With one omelette and/or chicken 65, u can enjoy a complete feast with a bill of around 200.

Best place to have a nice lunch. Ordered egg biryani, non veg meals, chicken fried rice, butter naan and chettinad chicken. Biryani was average. Meals and the chettinad chicken were the best. Delivery was also prompt.

Went for Lunch, as this hotel is very near to my work place. We ordered Non Veg Meals (unlimited) with Egg Podimas. The Non Veg Meals contains a Kuttu (Bottle Guard), Poriyal, Chicken Kuzambu, Mutton Kuzambu and Fish Kuzambu with Rasam. The Non Veg meals costs Rs.95 which is worth.
I like the homely taste of the food.
This is one of my favourite hotel. I have dined here lot of times. I am very much impressed with chettinad dishes and I have tried most of them. I love the flavours that come with the dishes. Karaikudi chicken and pepper chicken curry is one the best dishes.
I am not much impressed with the biriyani here.
I was really satisfied with the food and the service of the restaurant. The ambiance was very spacey and clean, but the washroom was little smelly. Other than that everything good and completely enjoyed our lunch.
This restaurant is in walk-able distance from my office. Quite spacious compared to many other in this area. The taste was good. Few of my local frens told that they serve authenticated south indian delicacies. The hotel did not disappoint at all. Taste of everything we ordered was good (Chicken biriyani, Natu Kozhi Biriyani, Veg Meals, mutton biriyani, Chettinad Chicken masala, Naan). I would have rated them 4 but their washroom was little turn off, it was stinking. Otherwise the place was ok. Budget Friendly. One time must try

My order was a chicken65 briyani ,service was pretty quick considering the rush hour (1-3pm) and the taste was quite good and spicy to my liking,.. but others said for this price there are far more better places
Nevertheless its a good place and have to give another try before deciding!

Good south Indian non veg dishes. Tandoori chicken has been consistently good with these guys. Yummy ! A bit pricey for the quality. This is one of the restaurants which you can visit once in 2 weeks lazily. Home delivery has been on time till now for me.
Opted for this place as it was near our home,dint have any prior opinion,ordered tandoori platter and Biriyani.platter just flattered my mind,awesum,decided that will get tandoori often here. Biriyani was not up to the mark.that too spl Biriyani was so bland. Good hotel for starters and tandoori though

I'll get straight to the dishes I love here: the Sri Devar special biryani and the mutton chukka. My parents and I generally don't like most biryani outlets but this place is an exception. The blend of spices is good and the taste lasts till the last mouthful. I'm not a mutton lover but I'll make an exception to the mutton dishes here. The home delivery is also swift and the quantity and quality are both good. A place we'll definitely frequent

Kaadai biryani is awsome while mutton chuka is little bit spicy, compared with the cost of all other hotels , this hotel is value for money, worth going to it.
The food was good although the preparing time made our wait prolonging. The service was fast and swift, the ambience was kind of lost though. Good for a casual chat with big groups.
Me and Wife regularly go to this hotel once in a month they way they care server and food quality everything will be awesome.

Veg food @ Pallikarnai is a tough search as this area has only one veg resto which is Jeevan cafe which is inside the kamatchi Hospital.
Had no other option but to try this resto which serves predominantly non veg food.
Dropped in for lunch ,could see ppl attacking the briyani with leg pieces left right and centre and i was the odd one out who ordered Veg meals.
The first thing which i always look into when the meals arrive is does it have karakozhlumbu in it. If yes then i am very much happy to start with.
The meals was brilliant and beyond my expectation as this was not a pure veg resto. Loved all the sides and specially the karakozhlumbu. The sides i found were lil different than the other restos where u get the same veggies in all places. The sides were podalankai poriyal, sorakkai masiyal, keerai thogayal, sounds ryhming isint it...

Food quality is pretty decent. Cheapest restaurant in south chennai I guess. Will get a quality food for what u r paying. Ambience is not amazing but pretty decent. Parking space is very good. This is one of the main advantage here.
This place has nice ambience and a really good menu. The starters taste really good specially the chicken lollipop and gobi 65 which i tried. The soups are pretty decent and the vegetarian starters are up to the mark! The main courses are really good but the Chicken biriyani was not upto the mark! The schezwan chicken rice was marvelous along with Tandoori chicken. Butter naan and panner masala was a good combo to go with, yet there is nothing special about it. It's a nice place to have dinner with family and friends.
Perfect madurai taste foods.
All the dishes were served to the table quickly. The veg dishes were quite gud.(gobi 65 quite oily !!!). The starters quantity seems to be OK whereas the quantity of the main dishes are sufficient. It costs around Rs.3800 for 11 ppl.(5 veg, 6 non-veg). Overall good and satisfied.

Authentic Madurai taste. Briyani and meals are good. Price is reasonable. A restaurant you can visit with family. Both lunch and dinner is available. Mutton briyani is priced at Rs.175 and non veg meals is Rs.100. You get mutton, chicken and fish gravy without pieces.
