Good place to buy hot chips and other condiments. Tried their Holige/obbattu and it was delicious. The sweet was made using jaggery and lentils, before being served on a leaf. I bought banana chips here, before boarding my train to Channapatna, south Karnataka. The chips tasted great thanks to them using coconut oil to fry them.

I had tasty paruppu or dal poli which was a sweetened flat roll stuffed with pulses mixed with sugar/jaggery. It was freshly prepared and served hot on a traditional but eco-friendly leaf. They also offer spicy poli with vegetables or traditional coconut poli which is a sweeter variant. They also offer a wide variety of sweets and savory items. They serve fresh ground filter coffee too.

Accidentally I entered into this shop while coming from egmore I noticed much crowd was there I thought some snacks shop is there so I can go and take it .. when I entered people were drinking badam milk ..I ordered one for 30 rs ( I forgot exact price) and I can see basandhi in small box . Seriously baasandhi is ultimate taste for 40 rs . I loved it lot and had one more as well . Also some snacks was there . It's as usual and besides shop was selling that too big sizes bajjis with chutney But I will suggest if you are traveling that road ..just stop for 5 mins and have good drink of badam or baasandhi

It's a 75 years old shop serving authentic holiage in both sweet n. Spicy flavours, it was very crowded when we went there. First time ever hearing that spicy holiage exists and it was more like aloo ka party, but I like it , we also tried this dal holiage, which was damn yum, that too for 15/- each. Best place for quick bites

Keeping the authentic taste is snacks, all ranges, sweets and savories, special murukku, thattai, Chips, badham milk, rose milk, especially in the evening hot Boli, paruppu and coconut Boli, bread bhajji with stuffed masala, samosa are not to miss whenever you visit t Nagar. You can get it very fresh and crispy always. Prices are very nominal. Evening you have to wait to get fresh Boli, get your token to have Boli. Vegetable Boli is new addition, for the hot summer give a try cool badam milk, lassi, etc... After a bhaji or Boli, drink badam milk to make your tummy fill n full.

Good Taste, hygienic and worth the price. Must try is BREAD BAJJI which is stuffed with masala is only Rs.15. They make fresh boli, raw and ripened banana chips. Basunthi, sweet varieties are good. Also try their podi varieties like paruppu podi (Dhal spice powder). Somas and other packed varieties are also good. Pakoda is average. Usually moderate crowded. Only drawback is no parking, need to park the car some where in near by streets, for two wheelers no problem. I usually go for pothys or Chennai silks then I visit here and take the vehicle back. When ever I or my family go Tnagar we surely purchase here.
