A Blue colored exteriors with a fresh aroma of the cakes and a welcoming atmosphere
Tried few dishes here :
1)Baklava Cup cake - Vannila cupcakes filled with Baklava all over 😬 This one’s a beauty though I’d love to have a little stronger flavour
2)Oreo Cupcake - Chocolate cupcake with Crushed Oreo and frosting
3)Coffee Cupcake- This one was my personal favorite. Had the best tasting coffee flavour with right levels
4)Custard Danish - A flaky delicate pastry topped with custard 💛
Will definitely be back to try more 😬

Love the chocolate pyramid cake at the French Loaf. One of my favorites in the savories is their chicken grilled sandwich. It's creamy but not soggy to ruin the texture of the sandwich. Their butter croissants are fluffy on the inside and flaky on the outside. Again one of my favorites here!

I stepped into 'The French Loaf' for the very first time with zero expectations and the experience was nonetheless great. The 'Choco Lava Cake' is something which I had my eye-on instantly. The warm chocolate inside is just seductive.
Their brownie contains nuts and goes really well with the classic vanilla icecream. They got some really good amount of pastries and birthday cakes. The pastries were yummy and felt really fresh. Would definitely go back here to try their eatables and other stuff.

This place has amazing pastries and desserts. 😍 I tried the chocolate laba cake which was super delicious. I also tried the brownie with the ice cream. Loved this great combo too! They also sell cakes for birthdays/weddings etc. 💯

Very good ambience and a silent place to sit and talk and have some delightgul bites. The best place is you can sit how much long and non one is going to ask you but the worst thing is the shop doesn’t have a good functioning AC.
Had ordered a 1 kg Chocalate truffle cake. The cake was really well made it was perfect. It tasted really yummy. Would definitely look to try out their other flavours as well.

The thing that attracted me for this branch is it's total get up. It looks to be peaceful. After office just dropped in. As i thought so was the place. Quite and tidy place. You have to go to the counter to see the food availability and order accordingly.
We had too many.
● Cappuccino. Warm coffee and a perfect consistency.
● Chicken chettinad bun. Soft bun with sesame seeds in top. And the inside was stuffed with chicken cooked in chettinad style.
● Veg pizza bun. The get up of the bun was quite different. Soft and spicy.
● Smiley doughnut. Yellow colour doughnut like a smiley face. It was okay.
● Orange muffin. Am not a muffin fan. So it tasted okayish for me. Felt little hard.
Service was good. Even the ambiance was quite. You can have a good time alone as well with your group.
I used to love their cakes ,but after some time their pastries started deteriorating.The cream frosting became dull and the cake used to be wet from inside as if watery.Could accept some improvements.
It's a typical FL joint and many things are predictable like their other joints. But the comfort inside is not great esp when it is crowded... Great vfm
This place has got a decent option of breads, pastries and savouries. These guys have a good service and a decent ambience. Its situated on the Harrington road right opposite to Costa coffee. It definitely a good option for quick snack. You can also order birthday cakes from this place or from any of their outlets in the city.
A friend's birthday yesterday and we got the irish fantasy ^_^

The french loaf being a chain establishment serving yummilicious desserts & other bakery items needs no exclusive introduction having more than a half century outlets in the city. They have introduced a special menu this summer which consists of new range of thirst quenchers, starters, salads, some quick bites, some finger bites and desserts that were never a part of their usual menu. A couple of us were invited for a tasting session of the same, at their Harrington road outlet in Chetpet.
Going the extra mile and doing something out of the comfort zone is a sign of survival and the will to keep moving ahead. French Loaf, the leading bakery where we keep hopping in to get our breads and pastries is all set to take a leap and go the Next Level. They are introducing special summer menu which has more than what they have been offering until now. Salads, milkshakes, coolers, fondue, burgers, bruschetta and many such fresh items. Starting with four outlets, they plan to take it forward from here.
This summer seems to be pretty happening with not just festivals but bakeries and hotels going a step forward and offering more on the menu and giving Chennaites greater choice.
I liked the Rock and Roll, Bruschettas and milkshakes. The dips with every dish was yum.
The French Loaf is introducing an array of summer specialities currently available at select outlets. These are Besant Nagar, Shanti Colony at Anna Nagar, Kotturpuram - Opp Anna Library and Harrington Road. The menu is being introduced at four outlets first as they have Dine In facility and this new menu calls for that.

With the name being so familiar across Chennai, they really do not need any introduction. And for this summer, they have amped up the excitement by introducing special summer menu with an array of salads, mocktails, burgers, desserts, etc. I was invited to try their summer menu at their Chetpet outlet, which is located on Harrington Road, next to Lady Andal School and below Kailash Parbat.
Talking of this place it's just not so good as cake walk and others. Try american apple pie. It's delicious though. The location is very nice and clean.
French loaf has the most exquisite cakes and chocolates. I love their chocolate cake, its always so moist and out of this world. Their chocolate boxes are always a great gift for family n friends. They also have a nice café.
One of the better branches of French Loaf; the place is located on Harrington Road, and has a cozy setting which gives a cottage like experience. Set on the ground floor, you get a nice view of the posh Harrington if you choose to dine in.
For a more private sitting, you can also enter the seating area for Wang's kitchen, which is just adjacent, although I prefer the former.
My favorites from this place are their brownies and definitely their cake pops! Try the London Dairy ice cream to neutralize your taste buds after you try their baked goods. :)
Well this place is again jus for desserts. Cakes, pastries, lil snacks here n there. I don't know I don't hang out here much. I used lover their croissant... Haven't tried anything much here but I know for a fact their cakes r one of the best ones in town. ✌🏻️ so Christmas is coming on so start up with your bookings🙈 n other varies events😁
Ambience is good and properly Air conditioned. They have a good variety of pastries. But the number of vegetarian pastries can be increased. Well! The staff being friendly and nice to customers, I rate this as 4.5.
Been there for my friend treat and had a chocolate doughnut... It was awesome and bought a birthday cake..... That cake made the whole birthday party delightfull...love the taste of French loaf...
This review is just based on the cake they managed to bake on my birthday. My parents had asked them to make a fondant cake with chocolate truffle and the fondant to be batman and they delivered it to perfection. Hence I give this branch a perfect 5.
My daily dose of chocolate when in Chennai. Small place with an average ambience but the bakery is good. They can do with better seating though.

I visited Harrington road French loaf yesterday with my friend and we were in a hurry to go which I informed to people there and the speedy service that they had given us was so quick but with uncompromising service standards to match our expectations. For anyone who wants to have a quick bite with quick & quality service can visit French loaf @ Harrington road and you will be really impressed with the people responding to your requests.

Cake was nice.
But their writing above the cake was horrible.actually it spoiled the cakes look.
So ask them to write neatly..
I like your breads, except for the burger buns. Burger buns need a lot of improvement. Love the little bread rolls and whole wheat buns. Your pastries have improved and your prices and decreased along with the sizes of the pastries, which looks like a smart move. The filo pastry based items need a little bit of work as it feels a bit too dense. Lovely chocolate truffle cake.
I'm a fan of the chocolate shop on the first floor. They make chocolates is various shapes.
Bit costly but good for gifts.
I thank the place for the most perfect cake for my parents 25the anniversary and my brothers engagement (which happened on the same day).. its was one of the best cake ever .. look wise.. and taste wise it was great too(especially when beeing egg-less)(unlucky for me i just got a small piece while it was being cut.. the guest wiped it out clean..:)).. ).. it was also one of the most expensive cake too...

It's a great place for getting Cakes for Occasions. Chocolate Fantasy is one of their best n so is this branch of French Loaf.
I buy all cakes for friends birthday only from here .
Cake Taste is = 4/5 and Service 4/5 too.
You also get the chocolates made by them @ Maple Leef . The chocolates are good tend to melt down in your mouth.
They also make customised shapes of chocolate on orders for example ; Football , Heart Shaped Big Chocolate or maybe A Baseball or Cricket Bat Shaped Chocolate. Pretty cool huh.

The BEST place in town for the most awesome Pastries! I have seldom begun my reviews with such exuberance, but this place just gets me elated on a mere mention. I hog so much sweet stuff when I go here I unfailingly get a sugar rush. Everything from the Chocolate Rambos to the Brownie is pure brilliance.
Their quiches are not great. In fact, none of their dough based items are great. Sparsely topped and a bit too hard to chew is how I found them till now.
It is best if you stick to the gratifying sweet spread of Mousses, Brownies, Pies, Tarts and Pastries, which are available in quite a lot of varieties. I admire them for the deliberate attempt to introduce new products and appreciate them for splendidly carrying out the operations on the same front. Their bakery products are beyond brilliance, though placed a bit on the expensive part of the price scale. However if you desire a quality and a motley of options with a fresh appeal, then do indulge in the same without regret. Their whole cakes are absolutely scrumptious, dishing out a miscellany of picks and alternatives that appeases every mood, occasion and persona.
It was a highly priced place around 4-5 years back when people did not see much expensive items and perishable goods floating around in the market. French Loaf has more or less revolved around the same prices, maintaining consistency and parallel with other above average priced centers even after increasing prices gradually. However, I feel some of their items do not deserve the prices they are entitled to. Those items are neither unique in the market nor are they the highest deliverable in the taste quota.
I feel the standard has come down though. Last time I went there, the Irish pastry and the Coffee were dismal. The former tasted nothing like what it used to. How I know is because it was my sure order during every single visit. The latter was terrible, tasting of bad quality roast. Now I know not to order coffee here because this was the second time it was happening after one such incident long back. Their Granitas are never available, except for once and I won't recommend it to anyone, so no harm done there. Their Milkshakes are of average quality too, a little too sweet and making you a bit sick by the end of it.
Crowd is decent and fine, though you should be ready to encounter a noisy bunch every now and then. Somehow, this place resonates the volumes more than desired. Outdoor seating is an option for customers, but on human levels it is not possible to sit in the sweltering heat without a proper channel of cross ventilation. A pleasant day when the rains have just stopped for a few hours would be an ideal time to indulge in your own sweet grub, literally.
Staff are well behaved and do cater to your needs promptly. Haven't had a single negative experience till date.
For me, French Loaf is an excellent place to just hang out without any particular reason and feel great by the end of it. Haven't had an iota of complaint to draw in spite of odd experiences here and there regarding the Coffees and Quiches. Maybe I am too old school, hanging on to the oldest branch of French Loaf and one of the first few patisseries in town, but I sincerely vouch for this branch and is a personal favourite till date.
