Quick place for breakfast. Don’t expect a very clean HSB or a great service . Tried the typical kesari dosa and Pongal . Taste is always the best

Had Appam kadalai curry. The side dish is free but not sufficient , but it is free, if you ask they will give.Probably avoiding waste of food.
Best place to be in for a full veg meals. Will suggest to any South Indian veg thali lover. Don’t look beyond Saravanan Bhavan as it is the best!
sambar is missing in the meals
Superb meals, Value for money, what can one demand for in such a low price, unlimited food omg, lot of options in the buffet, welcome drink, fruits , vegetables, rice, Sambar, sweet dish, with lovely taste. Can’t expect more than that. Superb !!! Really recommend place to go and have food like anything
Top rated dining restaurant for every budget.
A visit during peak hours might make you wait to get a seat.. cheers

Authentic South Indian breakfast restaurant! Every time I come to chennai I make sure I visit this place. I would recommend their 14 Idly sambar ghee and Parotha Kurma. It’s mind blowing!
what can I say about saravana bhavan? if you want a yummy south indian authentic breakfast this is definitely the place to go to. the place is quite spacious with a.c. and non a.c. sections. As non a.c. section was full we sat in the a.c. section which had long benches and tables and ample amount of space. coming to the food, they serve south indian, north indian, etc. they had so many varieties of dosas i was eager to try them. we ordered ghee roast masala dosa. the dosa was not too soft nor too crispy. it was just right. it was served with kothmir chutney which was really good. Sambhar was also nice. we then ordered rava masala dosa which was equally good. it was crispy and not too oily. we then ordered appam with coconut gravy. the appam was excellent, soft and went well with the gravy. the aloo curry was okay. finally we ordered idly which was fine. service is quite quick. definite must try place for south indian breakfast lovers!
food was good but not on the time.
Beautiful and hygiene food and my favourite is ada avial
The staffs service is poor and meals section should be somewhat hygiene in terms of service and my better suggestions is that staffs can wear gloves while serving their food
Approx cost could be 400 per 2 persons
It's a very compact place! Though the taste is great, typical south indian typ! We had ordered three different variations of South Indian Thaali (whose names I couldn't pronounce😛) and a Malabar Parota! Everything tasted awesome! The size of Parota was quite small though😣! Next the service of the person who served us was annoying! He didn't give a damn about suggesting or explaining us (non-south indians) about the menu items! While the other person serving on a diff table was courteous towards the customers (they too were like us, non-south indians). Soo the points above are just for the taste n 0 for their service towards a new person like us!
For the dosa and uttappam lovers please do not think even think of not going to any Sarvana outlet in Chennai or other city. Go and awaken your taste buds and feel the age old traditional recipes dazzle your senses.

Due to some urgent issue, we had to cancel our trip and had to get back to the Mumbai on the very same day. We were really very sad, depressed even. On our way back to the Airport , we thought we must at least make up our mood with some good food. And what came into my mind was Sarvana Bhavan. Like any other foodie I Zomato’ed Sarvana Bhavan and found out the n number of outlets out of which we chose to go for T Nagar one as it was supposed to be the oldest one.

Parking parking !!!! a big issue, one you manage that, then it is absolutely worth. They increase the price and reduced the portion . Great food, specially ghee roast dosa 👌😉
Serving tasty food with a really good and swift service. This is my experience in the ac dining hall. We need to be really careful on our order like the quantity and the corresponding price otherwise we might end up with a little disappointment but definitely not in taste.

A very good south indian vegetarian hotel the food quality is absolutely good and prepared in a hygienic way, it won't hurt your stomach after a meal.
It is in a busy street so you can't find your seat when you enters in weekends and during festival times so you need to wait for your turn a minimum ten to fifteen minutes and service here is quite slow when compared to other branchs.
You can say its the most expensive food chain in chennai

As mentioned earlier this us one place where we would get to have dishes multiple times. Such a wonderful place wil multiple dishes. They are been in the food industry for long time with good brand value. They are pretty reasonable in price and they don't compromise on qualities. Pl like the comment if interesting and feel free to drop your comments. Cheers.
Best place to have pure South Indian green leaf meals. Bit cosy
A very nice place for vegetarians. A must visit when you are in Chennai. Try their thali it is totally worth it if you have a good appetite. Their best outlet is in the city near pothys. They have lot of outlets in the city. There may be waiting sometimes but it's worth it.
Go to place for Delicious Breakfast . Their Poondu Chutney is a must try and one of the best in the city. Their service is also very good - Polite staffs & Mostly they serve the orders without any delay
Same taste like in other hotel Saravana bhavan but no lift to A/C hall. Table service available. Ground floor non A/C. Tammie service is not satisfied during late night.
I have been customer of TNagar Saravana Bhavan more than 20+ Years (*2017).
The food quality is really good. I don't find any major difference.
The only BIG difference is price. They are keep on increasing and couldn't afford Tiffin items hence I'm trying mainly rice in lunch and dinner.
I don't have stomach problem because of Saravanan Bhavan till now which is great. I strongly recommend this restaurant for you.
The restaurant is busy. Food quality is good. Service also good. But, due to overcrowd you may need to wait for some time to get the items you've ordered.
One of the popular chain restaurant in Tamilnadu. The service is not good, food is good but pricy. There is a shop in the entrance to buy a range of snacks and sweets. One of best thing is, the management is not encouraging customers to give tips to waiters which is one the major issues in India when eating in India.
Very nice meal. Quality of food is very very good. Especially the Little idli. One should definitely try that.
Toilet should be get clean.
Cleanliness to be maintained.
Went to the AC hall at almost near closing time. So, we had the place to ourselves and the food was served quickly and tasted superb. Highly recommended!
