A hidden gem on the ground floor of Phoenix Market City. Had Cheese garlic bread and chicken lasagne. Lasagne was really good and worth for 300 bucks. It's tastier than many other posh restaurants out there. No regrets about the garlic bread too. Overall, a good place to hang out in the mall.
The only working branch of ci gusta in chennai I know. Most famous for Italian food. Garlic bread, pastas, ice creams and pizzas (basically everything) are must try. Pizza is available in thin crust divided into 8 slices! 😍 Service is a bit slow and ambience is okayish. Worth a visit.
Just for time pass we tried chocolate brownie and few more flavours of milkshakes here...every scoop of chocolate brownie has few pieces of brownie mixed with chocolate icecream it was delicious....we wr looking forward for waffles here unfortunately they didn't have waffles..worth spending
Had been to this place many times. Cold coffee and pasta tastes great. Once tried peri peri chicken panini that too was yummy. If you are visiting phenoix mall you can surely try some Italian food and I am sure you are not gonna regret it. Seema Chauhan
I went to this place a long time back with some of my friends.
This is a small place situated on the ground floor of the Phoenix Market City Mall.
We enjoyed the ice-creams. I took a chocolate flavour ice-cream with nuts as extra toppings.
Have always ordered buy 2 get one free yogurt shake. Not a super awesome shake to crave for. But something to satisfy your sweet tooth with a kinda healthy option as they use yogurt. Love the strawberry sin shake there. Haven't tasted anything else.
A well known ice cream place in Phoenix Market city, full of Italian varieties, not an usual one, different type of ice creams, loved the menus, ordered a cheese cake with the toppings of caramel cream and the fig honey with the same toppings, really good taste, have many varieties of toppings,If u wanna try the new taste of ice cream, u will....
p.s
please avoid a fruit in cheese cake ice cream, it's bit sour, apart from that best place of taste a variety of ice creams🍚
Absolutely yummy. We were damn hungry and searching for a place to fill our tummies. My friend suggested this place. There was an offer there for pastas and pizzas. Since two pizzas is impossible for us to have 😜 we decided to have pastas. She had a penne bro pasta and I had an arrabbiata served with garlic bread.
1. Penne broccoli Alfredo
Penne with fresh broccoli in mornay sauce and Parmesan cheese . Absolutely creamy and yummy
2. Arrabbiata
Fusilli flavored with roasted tomato garlic and Parmesan cheese. Was a perfect mood setter. Tangy and spicy.
We had no room for dessert however. But would try the next time..
Since there was an offer of buy one get one we jus spent 300 for this. Absolutely worth it
Ci gusta is famous for its pizza and dessert.
The thin crust pizza is good but the desserts and beverage varieties are even better.
Very berry cooler made of Strawberry, Raspberry and Blueberry is my favourite which has to be tried atleast once by the berry lovers.
Desserts be it Sundae or Beverages such as Milkshakes, Mocktails, Ci Gusta has it all.
Overall it's a place for people who like pizzas and desserts.
A VERY GOOD PLACE FOR PEOPLE WITH SWEET TOOTH !
Be it their ICE CREAMS or YOGHURT SHAKES or waffles .. they are just SPOT ON !
I happen to try their CHOCOLATE .. take it from me it was THE BEST DARK CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM around this city (with AMADORA's A-CUP being its only competitor)
on the youghurt shake they got a good variety and it was pretty good in taste too ..
NOT ONLY THEY ROCK ON DESSERTS they have a pretty decent menu (LASAGNA for instance! ) boy these fellas have got a PRETTY DECENT SPREAD ON THEIR MENU although the looks doesnt give u a hint of what they offer
Only concern is .. the place can be bit bigger and closed to give a more calm atmosphere !
i gotto tell you the pricing is a tad on the higher side but at the end you wont rue the fact that its over priced .. if they are to lower their tariff it will be the hot joint of phoenix hands down !
Ci gusta means "we love it!". Indeed we loved it. Our order was simple. We ordered a pasta, a garlic bread and a pastry. The pasta was too good and it served two. Along with the seasoning it was one of the best dishes. The crest of the garlic bread was slightly thick. Otherwise it was also good. And the pastry finally concluded a perfect meal. We did not plan for this restaurant, but they were awesome.
Can improve on the AC, As it was little bit warm inside. And some of the items in the menu was not available. They should also work on this area.
Good place for a quick and fast meal. Some varieties of pasta are pretty good and well made as well. Something worth paying for when you want things to be served up fast.
so i've been there as i heard a lot about this place in hyderabad good varieties of menu lot of options in shakes, desserts and others staff is very courteous i saw some combo offer which was available till after noon and i ordered 2 pizza around 6 evening thought of paying for both but its the honesty of the staff who told me about the offer and told me to pay for one and get one free.....
The pizza was thin crust with less of cheese and should have some more veggies but that was delicious...
The brand is good so you could have maintain the same as i saw house fly disturbing around other people too which can just feels like roadside restaurant not in the mall...
Like the colour combination and some samples on the board to show as how your platting looks like....
Loved the tiramisu ice cream! They offered me their best combination of toppings and it was awesome. Ought to try the pizzas next time when I visit the mall.
Oh where do I even begin! This is a little joint on the ground floor of the Phoenix Mall that serves authentic Italian food, especially the pizza which is some of the better ones I've tasted in the city. Their lasagnas are highly recommended too! Juicy and a burst of flavour!
The ambience is pretty basic but functional and has limited seating.
The staff is usually friendly and helpful. And the service is quite good. Oh and they also have an in-house gelato pod!

I have visited this outlet many times. Good things - the variety of ice creams, fast food, Italian fare, and smoothies, and most importantly, their customer service. Exemplary service orientation. Not so good - hygiene aspect (flies always around the tables, mgmt should have noticed and actioned I think), space is a constraint. Overall, for the variety and service, I am rating them high..
Visited Ci Gusta after seeing the happy hours offer. Not bad for the first time. ordered 2 Pizzas and 1 ice tea. Pizza's here are of Thin Crust. It tasted good though it lacked cheese. they should be adding more cheese. Price was good as it was buy 1 get 1 free for Pizza's. Veg pizzas cost 300 Rs there. so 2 Pizzas for 300 Rs is good for a Thin Crust Pizza and Ice Tea was not up to the expectation. As a ice tea lover i expected more. the ice tea here was more like the ice tea from Dunkin donuts.
The bad thing about here is housefly. lot of them are there they have that machine to attract it but still there are some which keeps flying around. and the floors were dirty as HELL. white tiles were dirty as black. keeping everything else clean and i wonder why floors were left dirty. these 2 things are acceptable if i am eating in a kaiyendhibavan for 50 rupees.. Spending an average of 500 , people need more neat place.
Other wise a good place. can visit. Best time to go is during happy hours. worth the money.
Checked out this place for the waffles and smoothies, and no doubt they were excellent. Wish the place was a little bigger and the ambience a little more cheerful.
I love olives, olive oil, jalapeños, pickles and all sorts of spicy and tangy foods. I have visited this restaurant a few times and tried their sandwiches. Everytime this place has managed to excite my taste buds.
Today I had Aglio Olio Pepperoncia pasta and it was superb!. Chicken arrabiata pasta which my friend ordered was good.
I initially liked this place because of the waffles, which were really good. The other parts of the menu are delicious too but I find the dishes not worth the money. The lasagne was slightly disappointing. On a positive note, they have increased the seating space so we dont have to wait standing for our meal.
Been here a couple hundred times now. What I really love about this place is that while it's situated in a mall it still manages to make you feel warm and cozy.
I'll start by saying that the gelato here is pretty brilliant, so are the crêpes and the waffles. Except, if you're looking to satiate your waffle cravings during the weekday it may be a little difficult as they don't usually serve them during the weekdays. Kind of a bummer really.
The chicken lasagna is an absolute star here. It's dripping with cheese, served hot and fresh and the sauce is absolutely delicious, the cold salad compliments the dish quite well. In the recent past I'd also ordered an Aglio Olio Pepperoncino, which lived up to it's description: hot, loaded with spinach, olives and given a generous drizzle of oil and parmesan cheese. However, for those of you who do not like the spicy members of the pasta family, this one is not for you.
So all in all, Ci Gusta! is the place you want to go with a bunch of close friends/family/alone and have a nice meal or just deserts. Either way it will leave you feeling content! :)
Located in the lower ground floor in Phoenix mall, its a small but a super pocket friendly joint for Italian food.. Loved the pasta especially pesto.. And garlic bread and panini were also good! The frozen yoghurt is good! Service is a little slow, however the quality of the food makes up for it!
I am regular customer and I love love their ice creams and pasta .Just order fusli corn spinacci and just indulge in happiness.Tomato salsa dip is amazing.
I was a regular customer at the Hyderabad branch of Ci Gusta! and was looking forward to visiting the Chennai branch which I finally did today. And I wasn't disappointed :)
That cheese garlic bread was as heavenly as I could remember! For the main course, we had the veggie lasagna (so yum!), the Alfredo Pasta and a broccoli pasta which was delicious with lots of white sauce. I would have liked it with just a tad bit less of the sauce, but I'm not complaining.
And finally, dessert. This time around, I decided to try the cold coffee though I absolutely love their froyos. The coffee was pretty good. But nothing beats their froyos!
In short, a must-visit if you love Italian. I just wish the ambience was a bit better as I love the Hyderabad branch much more with respect to that. But kudos to the management on keeping up their standards even with such a small space :)
I went here for desserts with a friend after hearing a lot of great reviews of their I've cream. Seeing the tempting waffles, we decided to share a plate of waffles with ice cream. It was heaven on earth. We told the chef to add the toppings of his choice, and he did a marvellous job.
Great place for dessert. The ice creams and waffles tasted perfect. I'd definitely come here again.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor of Phoenix market city. The Italian restaurant has an average ambiance and small tables with short leg space. The menu was very good and well organized. I ordered the Veggie lasagna, Minced chicken Arabbiata and Belgium waffle. The veggie lasagna with fresh salad was an odd combo(for me) but the lasagna tasted excellent. The minced chicken Arabbiata is pasta with minced chicken, tomato puree and cheese. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the dish was amazing. Both these dishes were so heavy and i had a doubt whether i could finish the dessert.
As i was waiting for the dessert i noticed that the waffle press was near the cash counter and the guy trying to make the waffle was struggling to take the waffle out of the press. He kept it in for too long so the waffle got stuck to the press. Oh his second attempt, he made the same mistake yet somehow managed to take the waffle out of the press in one piece. I noticed that the waffle was heated too much but i decided to have a try. I choose chocolate buttons, pistachio and milk chocolate buttons and whipped cream as toppings along chocolate syrup and a scoop of chocolate ice cream .
As i started eating my Belgium waffle it was clear that the waffle was so hard on the outer surface and the inside was little raw. I was really disappointed because waffel is one of my favorite dessert and to see a waffel in such condition, i felt very upset.
The dessert should makes a person leave the restaurant with a happy face and a happy tummy. But today it was not the case :(
My overall experience was good, all the other dishes were spot-on and price is definitely worth the food. They should really concentrate on the dessert to make their customers happy. I rate ci gusta 4/5
Wonderful italian pastas.... was astonished with the quality and quantity of the pasta. We ordered for jalapeños garlic bread. The jalapeños was so spicy and excellent taste. The pasta was full of cream , brocilli and it tasted yummy...
The regular margherita pizza was good for the kids. Overall a good place fo
Truly Italian . Cheese garlic bread was one of a kind and proper Pizzas here . The crest was too thin though and made me look like a beggar eating that :P
I just love the food here! It is italian food with an indian kick. The pasta is amazing, literally melts in my mouth. The iced tea is amazing, as well as the ice creams. I always eat here whenever I shop at Phoenix Mall. Its a good family restaurant. The service is nice, though it takes a while for your food to arrive. The hospitality is welcoming. The restaurant is too small, and sometimes I can never find a place to sit, because it's crowded. Definitely a place to go to when you are at Phoenix Mall
Serves the best waffles! They're toppings are nicely flavoured. Apart from that, there are pretty good varieties of ice creams at their place.
Thing to watch out for - do not order a lasagne here. It's pretty bland.
Have been to this place recently with my friend and we ordered tomato basil cheese garlic bread and it was good , they served it along with mayonnaise and we liked it , they serve thin crust pizza's and the first one we ordered was a margherita which was good but the second pizza we ordered was not so good , it was rusticana , it had a strong jalapeno flavour to it and was sour.
The pricing would be on the moderate to high end and it costed us something close to 1000 which i would say a bit high.
One of the best thin crust authentic pizzas in town.
You can also try out the yummy creamy belgian waffles with lots of Topping options available.......
I think they have a great potential to become a full fledged Italian restaurant.
So I was one among the Diva's to get a free icecream voucher at this place!Though,I didn't have an option of choosing the flavour I wanted, the flavour which they ended up giving me was something which I haven't tasted before,It was Golden Vanilla! The name Vanilla may sound normal but this golden subtype is a must try ! All of us,Having tasted the conventional vanilla flavour for years,we would have defintely been bored, but Golden Vanilla is entirely different, they have vanilla seeds which adds cruch to the icecream and it gives you a feeling of eating the butterscotch version of vanilla! As the name suggests the flavour is golden in color! The ambience was good,I wish to mention this here because, having a free voucher you might have the feeling"What if they treat me bad?"but I was totally wrong,They didn't bother whether we had a free voucher or not ,they treated everyone the same.Loved the place especially for their service and ambience. Will definitely visit the place in future!!

Amazing cheese garlic bread and excellent coffee (ask for capuccino)...
Ordered a peri peri chicken Panini.... Heavenly..... (dont forget to taste the sauce...)
But, dont go if u r in a hurry....
Best garlic bread ever.. thr the place is small but delivers good Italian taste. The ice cream also isn't bad!
I absolutely LOVE!! going back to this place AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.
The Chicken Lasagna is a MUST HAVE as is the Garlic Bread. The flavors, the creaminess and the elegance of the food is just WOW!! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Always happy to go back :)
I have visited this place more than 10 times and it never failed to impress me. Its an apt place to have a quick bite when you are shopping and its located in the ground floor which makes it easily accessible. I have had their crepes, starters, waffles & pizzas. The best place for Crepes in Chennai. Their presentation of the crepes is so good & photogenic :-) Their service is outstanding. The place is quite small and it might get a bit crowded on the weekends but its worth the wait for that amazing nutella crepe.

Will i go again? - Yes. actually i visit every time i visit Phoenix mall.

Well,
If I am in Velachery or in the Phoenix mall and I wanna eat some thing Italian and good..ci gusta is the place I would be..!
ci gusta means "we like it"..and oh yeah I love it..:)
The best thing I like here is the Lasagna (both vegetarian and non)..Aweosmeness on a plate..served with a salad side and hot sauce..!
Haven't tried many Pizza varieties ..but thats because I almost always go for the lasagna. but the few pizzas I tried here are really good. I normally dont eat veggie pizza but I tried the Pizza peri peri pino here and its realy good.
And yes you can get good crispy Belgian waffles.
Dont forget to give a grand finale to your Italian meal with the gelato here..it is awesome as always.
The service is good and fast. The place is small but decent.
They aslo have an exclusive gelato outlet in trhe grand mall.
Ci Gusta as the name says - 'We Like it'.. A very nice place to hav some nice Italian food... Small but amazing restaurant... Serves tasty Pastas, even tastier Lasagne and the best of all Gelatos.... The Pizza however did not create a Wow for me... Went there atleast a dozen times till now and everytime I go, eat some new Gelatos with my favourite 'Lasagne'... Got a li'l disappointed with the service and quality this time. Lasagne became smaller, Garlic bread was not served a accompaniment also... Would be better maintaining the consistency of quality..
..
It is a small place in the ground floor of phoenix mall. The place is very cheap for the quality of the food they provide. The ice cream in this place is brilliant. Chocolate and hazelnut is my favourite. I always visit this place whenever I go to phoenix. Do visit this place next time you go to phoenix. !!
Best desert place????
New concept under desert area. Makes you do the hmmm sound when you have any desert from this place. Must must go!????

I saty in bangalore but visited this restaurant when I visited Chennai. The food was very authentic italian. The best was the Frozen Yogurt and Gelato. In all, a very authentic and lip smacking italian food served here. The people are very courteous. It will be good if they have home delivery
Had one of the best pasta arabiatta's here.
The chicken , corn and capsicum blended very well with the delicious sauce that my taste bugs reached a state of nirvana that night.
The joint is quiet small with a seating capacity of not more than 15 but the complimentary frozen yougurt for making me wait for about 15 mins made up for the ambiance.
There is hardly any place in chennai which serves Waffles the way it is meant to be "Crispy"! I tried Chocolate room, iam sure they dont know what waffles mean & its not putting anything in a maker & taking out ! The best part being you can design your waffles with every topping available for frozen yoghurt ! & my my they taste yum with maple syrup. The staff takes appropriate time to bake the waffles, to the very core, & thats what shows in the taste - properly cooked. The only place i loved waffles so much was in "Le pain quotadian"(International chain in mumbai) & Darios (Pune, in chennai also)
To add to it the Pizza and sandwiches are way above expectations of such a humble place.
Ratings
Staff - very friendly
Ambiance - Decently simple inside a mall
Food - Love whatever i order here, from garlic bread to waffles to pizza to anything. They might not have all the sauces but they make up for that with flavors in the food already unlike @That madras place!
Service - As expected for a fresh italian to be made, the re order is also fast
Ordered a simple frozen yoghurt after dinner at the food court in Grand Mall. Absolutely loved it.
Now a days CiGusTa is becoming My favourite spot with friends and really price worthy to spend &has a free WiFI too
Very good Italian fast food joint.. Great service.. Fantastic pizza and panini..
Definitely returning back soon!!
Awesome place...and amazing variety of ice cream flavors...if u r a dark chocolate lover... Their black chocolate flavor is a must try...was blown off with it...:)
A chance visit to the Ci Gusta ... and a really enjoyable experience.
There are Pizza places which do not even attempt to be Italian ... there are others which claim to be "autentico" and fail miserably, and then there is Ci Gusta, which comes across as a Gelato place (yup, Gelato is supposedly Italian, I agree) but which makes Pizza the way it was mean to be ... thin, soft, and with herbs and seasoning lending flavour, than just cheese and meats.
Garlic bread is a difficult art ... tasty is easy, heavenly is difficult. Ci Gusta is not there yet.
But the Pizzas that followed, and the sandwiches ... were really well done. Read description above.
The icing on the cake was of course the Gelatos.
They do boast of frozen yoghurt, but the sour taste drew wrinkled noses on the faces of my sons ... fact is, it was really good. Very smooth, really well done. But, give it a miss. Unless of course you have already given the Pizza a miss, in which case you might have space enough. Head for the Gelato counter. Try out the various options (You are given a sample to decide) and then go for the LARGE tub only! Tiramisu, Coffee, Various Chocolate flavours (with Hazelnut, and the Black Chocolate really really good) and some really outlandish varieties too. (Peanut??)
Smooth, really really cooold, and blissfully scrumptious.
Courteous service, and the bill ... delightfully low too.
A couple of flies hovering around were the only reason the rating is not higher.
Eventhough the variety of dishes here is less, everything we tried tasted really good. Loved that frozen yoghurt.
I entered this relatively new restaurent on the ground floor of PMC.
I initially thought of it to be a complete gelato shop. But i was mistaken.
My friend ordered a frozen yoghurt and i ordered a cheese cake gelato.
My friend was impressed by the frozen yoghurt as it was his first experience.
I particularly liked the fine texture of the gelato cause it never felt like deja vu having had gelatos in other shops as well. I'll be there a another time try out other flavours.
I would particularly recommend customers there to try their italian pizzas. It is nothing like the american pizzas we order home from dominos, pizza hut etc......but the pizza i had there impressed me in a unique way. It has thin crust and was also soft. Ingredients and their taste was spot on as well.
Customer satisfaction was good and the pricing of the menu items was also very modest.
I would definitely recomment this restaurent to my friends and family, as ci gusta being relatively new to Chennai as well as india (from what i believe) is underrated when compared to other eateries.
thumbs up from me.
